I really hoped for more underwater content

Agreed, honestly. That is what I was expecting and wondering if the boss fight will be in tiers today that see’s one or more done underwater. It is after all a creature of the water, lol.

What I’d love to see is labyrinth’s underwater to navigate with interesting mob mechanics for added difficulty. Especially in the ones you can’t just surface O_o

Is it a permanent addition? (hope so)

They have stated that the new map, enemies and JP’s are a permanent fixture. So take all the time you need.

As for the topic, I’m hoping to get a response off Anet, either a staff member of Josh himself, just to see who is responsible and to keep an eye out for

It was frustrating at first (falling trough the forming platforms on the end), but I made it on my… maybe 5th try? It was fun. :P

Did you guys notice it continues to the small green island? There’s a champion boss and a small chest in there, too. Although you get no achievement from it in case you missed it.

Aye yep. Tried to solo the champion. Didn’t end well. On more than one occasion I also managed to dodge off the island. lol. Was able to fend it off with my pet, well Fiend, long enough to check out the chest but still determined to try and solo the Champion.

I would assume it is because there is one giant thread named ‘Event Feedback’ already and it is likely easier to simply close new threads before they get along enough to require them to be merged into the big thread.

Curious to who the genius was behind this Jumping Puzzle in Lost Shores.
Was it Josh F again? The mastermind behind the awesome Clock Tower JP?
If so, big kudos to him. And any of the team behind it of course.

JP’s like this are amazing and completely fun. Sure they can be frustrating at first and require timing, but that is what makes it fun to repeat.

This is an MMO and not something you would see normally. So this is a welcome addition and considering the JP’s are amongst the top 3 three things I love in GW2, I hope we see more of these. Both in scale and difficulty.

Since they aren’t required, nobody can really complain about the difficulty.

So again, big kudos to Josh or whomever is responsible!

The patch done is what made it timed though. Previously it did react like the Skill Points ones. This was swarmed and obviously misadjusted to the amount of activity those areas would see. Timed worked out much better, but highly doubt it would have on the first run attempt of these quests, due to the aforementioned large activity to the certain areas.

People will always complain.

You could provide a dozen rare ore nodes right in front of them on a single stone. People would complain.
Stone’s too high!
There aren’t enough nodes!
My pick broke!

The above Ridiculous? You get the point then.

I for one, along with many others, are quite happy with the event launch and continuation. Sure there has been some lag areas, maybe a few invisible mobs, and some bugs, as to be expected with any mass rollout. Quests are easy. Clues are right there in plain sight, Anet doesn’t have to hold your hand all the way through.
Nothing game breaking. Or event breaking even.

Bring on the big boss today! … and more complaints from people, but meh.

Can’t wait to see how this all turns out.

Are you new to Guild Wars 2?

Dynamic Events ALL have timers. Given that these quests like Noll are the same at this point, how is it you find this bad/bugged?

If it is too much for you to take in, then go do other DE’s or FoTM.

LOL. I knew there would be a thread like this after the event started. To clarify, there is absolutely NO pushing of you to even attempt these jp’s. If you don’t like them, steer clear of it. If it’s too crowded, just give it a few days like any other jp. Unlike the Clocktower, this one’s sticking around so you have plenty of time.

People just need to be patience and realize this is a MMO. A subscription-free MMO. Sure there will be bugs. Sure there will be game breaking instances that need fixed. Every game runs into this. Some of it is caught in the beta tests and QA stages. On consoles games are released with bugs, possibly patched later if at all possible to do so. Some developers will do so, some won’t. Just depends on the nature of the bug. This is all for a single one-time event chain. Nobody is telling you to take part in it. You could go do something else on the game on one of the dozens of other maps and not be effected by what is going on. Thus it isn’t game breaking.

What it is is simply bugged at points. They have admitted this. They have rolled out patches to fix this. Yet when some stuff remains bugged, rather than look at the positive side of things like the fact that other portions are fixed and you can move forward, you are all spinning a negative outlook.

All in all just be patient. If you don’t like the event, go back to your normal play, or wait until Monday. Complaining over and over again doesn’t help.

One-time events don't belong in MMORPGs.

Oh believe me David, I understand. While the opener was fun, the next few waves in Morgan’s Spiral and the Wizard’s floating castle area, could see bodies, could sometimes strike, but mostly death all around. So I would have agreed on that same front for the other map areas the event took place following LA. At least in LA you could see everything you fought, lol

I personally was hoping for a Mad King’s Clock Tower type instance. OR even the way the Labyrinth was, although that may not have been reduced from a normal map (like kessex/la) and just spread out more.

Sometimes you have to wonder if people realize what they are asking…

Did you take part in the opener Friday? Everybody was scaled up to be able to face the invading Karka’s. Even still you could be one/two-shot killed by the baby’s spit stuff, or a rampaging veteran. And woe-be-you if you got in the path of one of those Egg Layers. Lol.
You want this instance to just your own character, to take on the hordes of Karka’s that invaded?
Pretty sure by the time you finished the ‘instance’, if possible, all your armor would be broke and cost a fortune to fix up!

I’m all for instances, but in cases like these one-time events, unless they scale down the enemies health and rate, which takes away the fun of it being a ‘new’ event and just another to mow through, it isn’t worth that.

Ah. Well first Miyani, she’ll email you after talking. Then you’ve got the three she mentions.
Gukumatz the Hylek (Metrica Province – Just NorthWest of Michotl Grounds Waypoint)
Fhan the Largos (Kessex Hills South East Viathan Lake)
And of course you already found the Quaggan

Crowbar Quest not working

Spikedadragon.6015

Aye. Basically grab a crowbar and walk along the southern coastline, checking each barrel and cargo box. You’ll hit a few that have ‘interesting’ results rather than nothing, and eventually get what you need to take to the gal in LA to continue.

Simple Question, with the Holiday event over can Event Items behave like Craft items finally?

in Suggestions

Spikedadragon.6015

Of course what I mean by that is you can store iron ores, chocolate, ect, (even minipets) into ’Collection’s but chattering skulls, candy corn, and the like have no slots. Therefore they just take up limited bank space.

Not really wanting to get rid of them… so it’d be great if they could be stored like normal crafting items (well most, there are still quite a few that don’t store despite being crafting related)

Even a simple section for Holiday event related items (like the Candy-powered meter that has no use now, but still keepin!). I know I am not the only person around here that likes to horde items!

Thanks!
