Blu is getting massively screwed over here. He is one of the hardest working people driving GW2 to something close to E-Sports yet he doesn’t get to cast a tourney on his home turf where he actually knows the teams and their styles. I have no issue with Jebro or Kaelaris (who I believe are casting WTS NA) but I think this decision by ANet or NCSoft or whoever is questionable.
/rant and prepare for flame…

On another note, am I chasing the wrong dudgeon to sell in AC? Is there a dungeon which is easier/more profitable/legit/anything else?

I have seen PW used to great effect but my question is how to actually run the dungeon and which paths?

So like many of the community, I finally realised I can do dungeons and be active to earn cash/tokens but now I’m levelling a thief I realised that to sell a dungeon makes more money than to buy/run one. My question is can a Thief solo dungeons (primarily AC) and sell them? Is it possible to do without using some kind of exploit or bug that might get me banned? If anyone knows any guides or is willing to help teach it would very appreciated (possibly with cookies )

Okay. Is there a planned change for this? Really hope so as it’s pretty frustrating

So whenever I join what I think is the equivalent of the old hot-joins, when i mouse over the score panel, the build and browser don’t roll down. Is this intentional? Just kinda sucks when you are trying out new builds in custom and then have to exit to HotM to redo build? Not fun

Hey there everyone!

So I play my necro a lot in PvP and I tend to run a DPS build which utilises DS quite offensively and my question is, are there any key damage mitigation utilities or something that I am missing? So far my understanding is that when a Necro runs out of life force, it becomes “Thanks for playing, Better luck next time!” and that to me, kinda sucks
Any info would be much appreciated!

So to recap, at this moment in time, you have two options – either sell your soul to the farming gods who still seem to roam Tyria or be willing to spend I don’t have the time to farm and gems just aren’t favourable sighs ANet when will you love us?

So talking figures here, if you are going to get anywhere near the gold range of 1500+, you would need over 12,000 gems. which works out at somewhere near the answer of – I’m not that rich…… So what have we learned? That even by ANet’s own methods (and don’t get me wrong I love ANet) they make it very hard to trade gems for cash

So I like many others have decided to craft a legendary and instead of whining about precursor costs, my birthday is just round the corner and I want to know whether I should buy a gem card for 2000 gems to convert to gold to finish off the legendary. My question is, is there a stable way of calculating how much you can get gold wise in terms of gems? The rate at the moment is ~10g per 100 gems but to me ( and this math may be completely wrong but here it is) it seems like its 1000 gems for 100g. That to me doesn’t seem favourable at all and I would be very thankful if someone could tell me A) if I am wrong and how much one can get for 2000 gems

So my question is – Are thiefs using stealth too reactively as opposed to proactively.

The Way I see it is there are three scenarios for stealth usage.

1) The engage. In this scenario the thief stealths before the opponent sees them and gets of a burst and then continues. As a frequent PvPer I don’t see this happen much.

2) The evaluation. In this scenario the thief has gone for their burst but either it misses or the opponent mitigates it. The thief then backs off to re-evaluate the situation.

3) The retreat. In this scenario the thief is low with few Utilities ready to go and so uses stealth as a retreat but often the opponent tracks and downs the thief. This is perhaps the most common situation I see.

So should we be using stealth more proactively (scenarios 1 + 2) rather than reactively (scenario 3).

I remember reading about the events of the Searing somewhere (sorry I know it is annoying when people can’t quote sources and I apologise in advance) and it said there was one war band who was scouting and realised Adelbern was gonna kill the approaching legions with Magdaer’s power and so they fled and were cursed as deserters but when they had survived and returned to their home (at that time it wasn’t the Black Citadel) and all their fur had gone white in shock. This may be slightly irrelevant but I find it interesting that the Charr could suffer from PTSD or shock and physically change as well.

I took a look this morning at the Mini prices and this^ So much this. Even the Exotics had been hit some dropping by vast amounts. Might this be related to the short period of time when a large number of Mac users couldn’t access the TP?

@xallever I wasn’t specifically looking for a speed run team more of a team that can help each other out and can finish in a reasonable time while still doing all of the dungeon properly as opposed to just farming but I’m fine with people who do speed clear I just feel they miss out on the content

So a ‘tank’ ( I don’t like that word so much ) a dps and 3 spike dps… Hmm… Do you know how long roughly it took you?

I ran AC earlier today with a party of two Guardians, two Mesmers and a Necro and it seemed to me that we were taking down the champs really easily. Does a ‘2 tank 2 spike and 1 condi’ format work? If not, what others do? I’m keen to learn more about dungeons and the combos that work. Please bear in mind that I’m not interested in builds more in team styles

Right so I have been looking around the lore forum lately and I saw someone post something about how it shamed Quaggans for them to go berserker form and this is why they are so peaceful and look to others for protection. My question is why and what have I missed in terms of Quaggan related lore? Wouldn’t being all big and fierce help them survive?

Whenever I look at this forum I see at least 3-4 threads titled “Sylvari must die” etc. WHY?? You wouldn’t see stuff like that on the other race forums and they all have their bad counter parts e.g Char~Flame Legion and Norn~Sons of Svanir. Just because the main anarchist of the game is Sylvari why should the whole race be condemned to “Evil killer plant people”? Do you think that if the main anarchist was a different race, would people hate that race instead? I just think its a shame to hate such an amazing people on the basis that one was mad……… Gimme opinions on this pelase

One interesting (i don’t know how it compares to other methods) way is at a laurel merchant purchasing the heavy crafting box for some easy high level mats. Obviously you need laurels so doing dailys is a must

Damage wise the Ele can provide a constant barrage of damage with cripples, chills and bleeds. However the Necro can easily bring down anything/one with the sheer amount of condition damage it can apply in a short space of time. The Mesmer is very spike damage oriented and relies on clones for survivability. In order of DPS it goes something like Ele, Mes,Necro but that can change depending on the build you run and your play style

The “best” visuals are all based on preference but I think that it’s only fair to warn you that Ele has the sharpest learning curve in the game- relying on kiting and stance-dancing this class is usually played after you have tried a few more forgiving classes (i.e warrior)
but can be really rewarding if you play it right. I once heard it being described as “If you can play your keyboard like a piano then the Elementalist is perfect for you” <—— Never has a quote been more true but feel absolutely free to do whatever you want and take this opinion with a grain of salt as my first char was an Ele

I guess so… Well time to farm some more lost possessions :p
