When the game starts your positions are reset back to your respective bases. You can’t comeout until the time reaches 0.

Therefore it is a hack.

This is almost true, but there have been some reports of positions not getting reset correctly, rare true but they exist. I imagine it occurs when someone is next to a door or right under the spawn but the rev could have targeted you in warm-up, got locked out, phase traversed and then JW. Unlikely but its possible

As great as this concept is, seems like only Pro-League teams are actually getting in on it. As above, would have been great to see some fresh teams without cramming them into AG Weekly /justmy2c

This asks the all important questions then – if new condition “Condition X” (the one that blocks boons) is, well, a condition and Resistance is a boon, what happens when the target has both?

This is true. It is possible to get multiple tokens per Trib mode per day, although obviously some paths are easier.
This means that you can much more easily complete King Toad weapons, Storm Wizard weapons take a bucketload of time so be prepared :P

Action cam is the way I found slingshot works best. Note that it only shoots at the same level you are at, and won’t fire upwards or downwards.

Bombs are still a mystery but so far, both W1 + W2 on Trib mode, and slingshot hasn’t let me down.

@Ohoni most of the arguments saying there shouldn’t be other ways other to obtain the Ascension other than PvP, is that there are already a plethora of Legendary Weapons and soon to be Armor and Backpacks for PvE, the obvious ones being raids (and fractals for Ad Infinitum).
The main idea for a PvP exclusive reward is that – an exclusive reward. Until this point, unless you want tomes or useless loot boxes, there was no real reason to PvP other than for ESL or for amusement.
The Ascension gives a lot of PvPers something to work for to show how they have done, just as legendaries and fractal weapons are something PvEers have to show off.

As for the portal thing, I just can’t bring myself to use it, my reasoning being that for the 5-6 games I have used the build, we usually win the initial mid fight and so its a quick +1 with blink regardless of map. I understand the benefit of portal but for me its a preference thing.
Side note – Necros don’t have stab if you Moa them in shroud and only really fight revs if you can pick them off in a team fight rather than 1v1. Same applies to scrappers.

The build works much like a lockdown mesmer would, with mantra, shield #5, GS #5, Moa and F3. Damage feels much like shatter builds of old and its so much fun to watch elementalists panic when they realise they have no support when moa’ed

Feel free to move stuff around to suit your play style, I’m sure there are better sigils etc.

After trawling through several thief roaming videos and one-shot clips, I have been filled with new hope for Backstab builds.

The signets work for easy might and big hits, (10k BS and ~9k HS are possible) the blinding power for an on demand stealth and withdraw for a nice CD heal.

Of course, the build lacks survivability and condi clear, and has definite room for improvement.
Any suggestions to improve the build would be warmly welcomed!

By rule of thumb, ArenaNet will never contact you about your account via in-game mail. There will also be a little yellow warning text at the bottom of the mail telling you if it was sent by another player.

That sucks. So it’s now a decision of stick with the account I put time and money into or start from scratch… Wow the wording is too vague

So what happens to the core copy you buy with HoT? Is it counted as free if you don’t get any use from it?

So we know ANET is bundling the original game inside the expansion but does this mean if/when we purchase the expansion we get one copy of HoT and one copy of GW2? Will we get a second account if we already have one or is it just ignored and only HoT playable? I had a gander at the FAQ’s and so far nothing seems to say either way.

TD;LR – Does buying HoT give a second account to players with a primary account?

We know that ANET can code randomised PvE and WvW dailies (Although i think there is some kind of scheme to how they are laid out?) so in theory (and also they could randomise the previous prof. dailies) they should be able to code a player specific one. I would be interested to know if that would work in terms of coding

It never was zero? If you mean 4 professions means more variety then sure i get your point. But that still doesn’t answer why they couldn’t have done a simpler solution…

So what we have in this patch is a fix in a way for the profession dailies. What the problem was before, was with two profession specific dailies, was an increased chance for stacked games, leading to many players picking up characters and builds that were unfamiliar. This was a design problem that many were facing and unlike other problems, there was no real work-around for this.

Now what we have, is a set of 4 professions that are needed for a win to complete that PvP daily. So instead of intensely stacked matches, we are going to have a slightly better chance of more even matches.

My problem is, the feedback given here, on these forums, to the forum specialists, said wouldn’t it be better to have randomised dailies per player? Wouldn’t this limit stacked games more? This isn’t a knock on ANET but there was some feedback with easy (? I’m not a programmer anyone can dispute/confirm this?) implementation as they have the means to randomise other dailies, why wasn’t this put in, instead of just adding an extra two professions to choose from?

What do you guys think? Opinions and thoughts are very much welcome

So, after absolving myself of the sinful classes, I have returned to Mesmer, and want to command in WvW (probably PuG commanding). This requires a build. A tanky build. I don’t pretend to know much about theory crafting so any help/comments/advice would be much appreciated. Also if there are established builds for Mesmer commanders already, any links would be great.

There are 3 distinct game types in GW2. If you don’t like this that or the other which is plaguing your favourite, there are other dailies in other game modes. For those saying “Oh I can’t bear PvP or WvW i just want to finish my daily in PvE” or w/e, bottom line is, if you want the 10AP or rewards then you have to try out other parts of the game. There are even EZ mode servers in PvP for those that really can’t be bothered.

IMO I think the representation mechanic is good but in the same time, really makes it hard for new start-up guilds. By this point, most people have found a guild (Although with the sale coming in there may be an influx of people to prove me wrong) and so new guilds have the rough end. To make your guild seem like the place to be you need members and buffs. But people need to rep to get influence for buffs. So if people already have their “main” guild, and they are joining you as a side, short of buying the influence it is very difficult for new guilds to try and sell themselves as desirable. Sometimes it boils down to advertising as “No 100% Rep!” just to try and hook people in. That’s just my two cents.

So after the patch our build queue has not changed even though we had 2 actively building before the patch now we can’t see any progress on any other upgrades and the ones which were meant to have completed by now are bugged
