+25% movement skill for all professions

Why should something so basic as movement, be denied to some professions, whilst others benefit from it? It does not make any sense to me. Everyone should be allowed a passive 25% movement speed in my opinion.

The thing is, in this game, movement is not basic. Movement is everything. Backstab requires you to be behind your opponent. Ranger’s shortbow autoattack bleeds if you’re behind your target. Combo fields require either you or your projectile to go through it to achieve the affect. Therefore since positioning, and thus movement, is so key, it is a part of the balance system as to who is able to move themselves more quickly than others. Mesmers not having much access to swiftness, for example, is perfectly balanced. They already have a plethora of options available to them to teleport, push back, and confuse their opponents. What if they were also able to outrun them? Melee opponents wouldn’t be able to touch them, and, given a while of running, they would be able to stay out of the 1200 range weapons reach at ease.

As for the out of combat move speed, I also think that all classes should be able to move just a little bit faster overall, but still, some should be faster. In my opinion, the out of combat time before a fight can have a great affect on the course of the actual battle, position included.

This simply would not work. First, and not really related to why it wouldn’t work, it would remove the concept of defense completely from the game, which should strike you as obviously silly. There would be no point to upgrading your walls or gates, unless you want to work towards waypointing a keep.

Secondly, it would then be beneficial to LET the other servers take your objectives, so you can capture them back for the points. Two servers would be able to go back and forth, trading an objective, leaving the other server far behind in score.

Lastly, assuming the above situation does not occur, in the case of a extremely two sided or a balanced fight, how would any difference in score grow over the week? Every time a server captures a point, the other server is guaranteed to score a point. It’s like playing volleyball (winner keeps serve) but only the returning team can score a point. See what I mean?

As for the melee target assist, it prevents you from walking through the enemy once you’re within range. As for the targeting system, I’ll let someone else comment on it.

It would have been a nice video, but there was one major problem: almost every player you played against was extremely bad. Just as an example, take a look at the first two players you killed. Did neither of them even have a stunbreak?

That is because you can not crit that boss, along with any others that have that kind of health bar and targetting (dragons)

Hey guys, just need some help deciding on a new character name.
I already have the names “U P” and “L E F T” and trying to decide between the names
“S O U T H” and “Direction.” Obviously, you can see the theme I’m going for here.

Yes, I know this is a very old computer, but I am wondering if this computer is performing up to its potential at just 15-20 fps on min settings in PvE. Also note that I’m not very “techy” and just post if I should include anything else.

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.80GHz
RAM: 6.00gb
OS: Win7/64
GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 9100

Also, Black friday or w/e it’s called is coming up soon. How much would I expect to spend on a machine that can run the game on max settings at around 35-40fps?

Edit: I’m also willing to upgrade a part if that would be easier/cheaper/more efficient.

So, going through the personal story for the second time and i’m playing retribution. I get to the part where you fight the plague bringer, and I hit him once and walk off since I have so many allies they can just do it themselves. I went back to the docks and noticed that, in the water, there is a Champion Risen Megaldolon (the shark) just swimming out in the waters.. Even with a bunch of npcs following me, it wiped us within a few seconds. Any reason they have a random champion shark just swimming around out there? It isn’t necessary to complete the quest.
