I perfectly know about it, just forgot that i may disconnected. But not everybody goes to wiki and read all blog stuff. Game should be designed in a way that you don’t need to search for information. If there is a dishonored buff, i haven’t noticed any this day.

Good point about dishonor, i’m not sure whether i didn’t disconnect for short while during one lost game. But this only show another flaw of system there is no information about dishonor at all. There should be screen with information that you lost 3pt.

I won 2 games with friend. In those 2 games he earned more points than i did…

About points, i have again doubts about how algorithm works. I won 2 games with friend. In those 2 games he earned more points than i did… Please check that algorithm again. Or again someone is messing up in point tables ? If so, please start working as a one team, because puting to live ladderboard when some of you AN developers didn’t know about it, doesn’t speak well. (i’m talking about pre beta phase for clarification).

(i just realized that during all matches i could disconnected for a while which could result in -3pt)

You know what is funy ? You can still quit hotm through LA portal and you will not be kicked from queue but it is likely oversight. And forcing us to stay in hotm is just a result of disshonor system which solve nothing in current state.

I think that huge part for this chaos matchmaking is responsible dividing MMR to each character slot individually. I don’t know how they did it, did they just allocated account MMR to your main character(most played games for example) and others characters got 0 MMR?
People that play multiple characters will likely be very hard affected by this change. And this is just mistake, people with multiple characters will need huge amount of time to achive same mmr on every character. By the way, not only class skill matter, what makes you good player is also how you think while playing and this is universal value for that reason you should have to “farm” mmr on every character from 0, this is just stupid idea.

This move shows that, game huge problem is balance. That is why current meta is celestial ele/ele/engi/engi. But blocking class change isn’t solution, solution is oposit of this. Make it team fortres style, you can change to any character while respawning. People will ballance match by yourself through changing to counter builds. Or at least give us ability to change skills while respawning.

True, true i’m currently very high on leaderboard and i’m just an average player. This problem was mentioned on other threads. I agree that there should be leagues, but there is one problem, the current pvp community is too freaking small for that…

6. Make a pvp panel at option window for detailed player preferences which affects queues otherwise you will never satisfy every player. (i’m affraid that current pvp module will not allow you to do such a thing, but maybe you have such a possibility)
some examples option(when player is in party, only options from party leader should be considered):

- short queue option for players that wants to fights opponents in a wide range of mmr
- long queue option for players that wants to wait for more balanced matches ( very narrow mmr range)
- option to queue from outside the hotm for players that accept dishonored in case that they miss ready screen due to long loading screen
- i want to queue with NA/EU servers for people that are not affraid of possible lag (if you have such possibility, if not you should develope that kind of merge)

Just show this annoying match ready window outside the hotm and problem solved.
If you are not able to pop up this window in some situations e.g. personal story, so than make an option to choose whether player want queue only from hotm or not. If not ,player understand and agree that in some cases can be punished by temporary pvp ban for abandoning the match. AND THAT’S IT…
Otherwise you have much more work to do to get people interested in hanging out in hotm. I personally just stoped to play pvp in very late hours due to long queues. Before i could jump to wvw and flip some camps, so queue wasn’t a problem.

3. Create template builds system that allow to change build before the fight.
- releasing courtyard map without this system was a mistake. People without proper build for team support fights are just crashed on this map.
4. Make new map for deadmatch. Courtyard sucks a lot…
5. Make database(last match only) of player status and position on map and share that via api. In other words such a data would be replay of match but just in technical data.
- lots of people cry about detailed stats like damage/healling etc., they don’t understand that such a data will tell them nothing to improve their game, because they don’t understand that the most crucial of team play is good rotation in other words good gameplay strategy.
If we had data from last match where we can see that player x died at position A and we see other players positions and their health (same for oposite team), than we can analyse whether our strategy was good or not.

1. Enable possibility to close match ready window after player click accept.
- it is so annoying when this window stay on top and stay and stay because someone resigned and system is looking for replacement. Who cares what is going on on this window when i clicked accept ?!
2. Allow player to stay at arena when match is over.
- it is so frustrating that you can’t read stats/score because everyone left so fast and you are kicked from map.

i would be very happy to see possibility to replay LS for achivments for my alts.
In other words, if i finish LS on one character and i have access to achivments, i want same access on my alts.
Is it really necessary to play LS from beginning on every character that i own?
I don’t see a reason, because story for all my characters is the same.

Gw2 is a huge game and players could be doing any number of things that would prevent them from accepting a match. Players could be watching a cinematic, talking to a scout, or the biggest problem: stuck on a load screen. We can’t let people on load screens get dishonor because they can’t accept the match.

For these reasons we want everyone in HotM while queued.

Please explain me why you can’t move player to Hotm when match is found ?
Just give 30s or even 60s on ready prompt to let everybody load their screens and problem solved. Forcing players to move to hotm while in queue will upset many players. The perfect solution would be a ready prompt on screen where ever you are or what ever you are doing, just like current pvp reminder with go now button.

I have one question and one question only. Why you not using Edge of the mists to try any new ideas, drastic ideas, game changing ideas ? You have a great testing enviroment and you are not using it…
This new idea is of course good and i’m up to see changes that will refresh wvwvw system, but on EotM you can experiment with radical changes without worries that this change could break wvwvw.

ok i did some more tests and now i think that it is just random behavior
so don’t look at tooltip, just turn on terror and master of terror traits and try on golem clean fear skill 5 on staff(which always ticks 1 time) and try skill 2, 5 on staff and now fear ticks 2 times in almost every try (but sometimes it can also tick only 1 time)

So is it intended or not ?

assumption: put fear without any condition on target!
My staff skill says 2s fear, but it ticks only once if target has no other conditions.
All tests done on npcs and golems at Mists.
So is it “normal” intended behavior?
And fear at downstate (4.1/4s) – it doesn’t tick 4 times even with conditions on target – only 3 times(it looks like it is trigered for only 3s so for sure bug)

Additional question: why spectral wall when put it on not moving enemy will not triger fear ,but will triger protection at the same situation on me ?

I’m a little bit confused. Previously was said that
quote “We’ll open sign-ups to everyone, but only 16 teams per region will make it into the Tournament (subject to change)”,
so for me was obvious that there must be some kind of qualifiers before tournament to exclude weak teams like my own, but there is not even one word about qualifiers to the tournament, so i assume that if there will be 100 teams signed up, so brackets will be extended to accommodate all teams ?

BTW let’s face it, megaserver exists from the beginning… It was called overflow…
The only difference will be that now your main map will be also an overflow, but without a name “overflow”…
So megaserver is only marketing slogan, nothing more. Maybe just slightly better rules to gather people together.
I suppose that rules existing in overflow will be just copied to megaserver. After all, these numbers( “excellent results table”) were taken from somewhere, likely from overflows…

So this is how they want to solve problem with wvw coverage. And it will obviously kill wvw for me and for many others. I need a clear membership (i need to represent my server) to have fun otherwise fight will become meaningless…
There is no way that they will do it right by gathering guilds together in some way on some set rules. So looking forward what they want bring to us, to kill server pride.

Is it only me thinking that current league system is broken and made up in hurry without depth thinking ? I think that the starting point of this league was idea of gold, silver and bronze reward which led to unbalanced ladder.
The ladder in short is a joke and can lead to abuse(if two servers will make a pact) or gives advantage to these who has easier match-up.
I made some easy calculation to show when league could be equal.
Currently in EU we have league with 3 combinations from set of 9 elements (servers), so from easy calculation it gives 84 not repeatable combinations. 84/3 = 28 weeks (196 days), so that is way too long.
So, the only logical way to create league with every combination is league with 6elements (servers) which gives 20 combinations. 20/2 = 10 weeks which is resonable time and in a such league we would face every server 4 times. In europe there is a problem to create such a league, because we can create 3 leagues with 6 servers and fourth league will have again 9 servers. But in my opinion, better is to have 3 equal leagues and one league with strange rules/ladder…
So, Arena Net start thinking about changes, because i’m sure that at the end of league, dissatisfaction of people will escalate.

Hi,
can anyone check, i have strange behavior of traits trigerred on interrupt. For example simple situation: phantasmal berserker->diversion = i see daze on target but i don’t get bountiful interruption. Same situation with every interrupt skill, i pull target or knock him back with illusionary wave and i don’t see buff from bountiful interruption. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Yeah, this is pretty sick situation. I wasn’t aware that queue isn’t a queue (FIFO), but just a lotery, until i got to map after 10min, and i heard on TS that some people waiting 2hours.
I’m pretty sure that this is not the only problem with equal chances.
I want to see special command for commanders that will allow them to check all population on map(of own server). I have suspicion that Anet assurance that players limit number is split equally among all three servers isn’t true. I know, that the stupidest idea ever was to add achievement on league start, which attracted to map plenty of pve players, but EB isn’t big map and you can quite easy run through map and count players spread out. And if you see that there aren’t so many spread out players and you are attacked by 3x more players and there is queue on map, you start thinking that “equal player number system” isn’t working same as queue doesn’t work.
Or… there is a hidden system that is trying to level the playing field by not equal player numbers. Of course i can be wrong, so add command for commanders that will clear this out.

1.Zerg antidotes:
a) Decrease moving speed by 30% and 25% of attacks misses while moving in group bigger than 10 people.
b) Create better party system. Take a look at planetside2 and take some ideas from there.
2. If culling will be fixed, remove displaying enemy names. Names displaying should be only available when enemy is spotted by guards or when attacked.
3. Reduce damage to siege weapons on the walls by 75% from AOE ,when this AOE is released from the ground.
4. Increase damage by catapults and trebuchets dealing to people.
5. Add some statistics to game.
6. Make defending more interesting. For example ,count every repelled attack and for every next repelled attack, increase rewards. Make it visible, that this keep was defended for xx hours and repelled xx attacks.
