Currently leaderboards shows player’s account name which is in my case “Style”.
This is bad design(i know 1 more account with Style in name).
Let us choose what name we want show on leaderboard. I prefer too show my character name which identifies me or allow us to change account name what is currently not possible even through support.
macros or multiple actions keys are not allowed :p
it’s not about macros. Such a funcion would be useless for combos.
I will give better example: “jump an show ally names” under one key.
At present i have show ally names under alt and alt can be combined with other keys so it is sort of double funcion key.
1. changeable position of opponents skill bar and boons display

- I feel current top position very uncomfortable. I think that placing it below my feets would be much better.
2. option to remove or move to other place damage numbers, which just covers opponents character and sometimes it makes harder to see animations.
3. keyboard double binding e.g. strafe an jump under one key
- this is just not that useful example ,but there should be some viable combinations that would optimize my keybinds (i like less than more keybinds, that is why i already use alt+ combinations)
1. Predefined builds that are chosen before match start like moba style hero pick.
This would mostly fix premade vs solo problem, because greatest advantage comes from teams structure imbalance. Solo players most of time end up with teams that have bad composition and that is why they lose to premades.
At least they could change how dailies are realized to eliminate profession stacking – it is simple task, but why do that? Better throw more money to “e-sports” and that will make e-sports lolz. Sry but this little thing show how things are not analized.
Predefined builds won’t happen fast or ever ,so just face the premades, because solo queue will never come back. They can’t afford creating separate queue for teams because, there is no enough teams and queue times for teams would hit the sky.
you can’t document anything because you can’t see mmr of players. Now dev need to check every single report, what is just plain stupid.
I also have win/loss streaks i suspect that mmr is jumping too fast and after streak of wins you just become best mmr on your team and you need to carry 4 players, that result in another streak but this time lose streak and so on and so on…
We have beta season from can’t remember when and AN can’t share data like mmr for better analysis.
Guess what? This game can only and only be balanced by moba style hero pick.
Instead of hero pick, here you could have predefined builds/setups.
Guess what? that will never to happen…

I have simple solution for most of points. Remove hot join…
MASIVE disappointment.
1. Mist Champs – they are the must. If this mode will ever become good pvp mode, then obtaining them in track or whatever else farmable method is a game design must.
Minis are just a trash for me.
2. New rank finishers – i saw new dragon, it is just bad…. Overall idea pretty dissapointing
3. Shards of glory – this track may be usefull, but i guess it will be a trash. It depends how fast you can obtain sog through other playmodes. I guess on past experience that time needed to get 2 sog will be 10X higher than pve and beacause of that this track will be just a trash.
Black lion keys – no comment on that, there is another topic especially for that exciting reward.
Summary, they have problem with calculating time needed to obtain rewards in pvp in comparison to pve. And i see that nothing could change it.
The WOW is more stronger when you think that over 2 years, those keys were farmable in 15min from personal story.
So i can say only WOW.
EOT i’m reporting this bug through support because it is too rare situation.
ps. i wrote that " item can’t be transmuted to other stats" logically thinking you should conclude that item has chosen stats because i want to change them…

OMG really another talk about containers ? I sad in second post “in my case head armor” U should know that “head armor” is no more a container. Instead, it is item received from container. EOT
Now about 40 boxes man! You just don’t know what i’m talking about. You most likely didn’t receive even one of those boxes from AN email.
Don’t think so that gyro can replace elixir x. Moa counter is very important.
On what build u use Adrenal implant?, most likely on some bunker and if u a bunker u shouldn’t be also fast. And when u use Lock on u also should be fast to catch that thief or mesmer or ranger or running away engi. That make sense for me, bunker with lots of dodges is slow and revealer is fast.
Start from removing celestial amulet…
Could u please move Analyze(Lock On) to grandmaster ? Currently u need tradeoff analyze for streamlined kits and that is lame according to how many available and viable options have for example mesmer. You can switch analyze with e.g. adrenal implant.

Do you have any ascended item received as a reward from AN ? If not there is no point for making any comments on this topic.
There is no debate on what i can do differently.
Mystic forget doesn’t recognize the item as usable(in my case head armor). That’s all.
If it isn’t intended, so it is a bug.

i received after beta pvp reward as ascended armor chest. And this item can’t be transmuted to other stats. Mystic forge doesn’t see this item.
Is it intended behavior or bug ?
I think that this bug/behavior will aplly to every ascended item received from Arena Net as a reward.

I just wanna discuss some game design choices that limit pvp and its growth.
Of course i know that none of those changes will ever happen, because AN is sitting to deep in their own “box”.
Even if pvp community skyrocketed after transformation to f2p. Those new players will just leave a game after realization of game flaws and they will not come back…
1. PVE CONNECTION – AN choose that pve and pvp are equal with some exceptions like some runes not available in pvp – reasoning behind this is that they don’t want pve players to force to learn new/different mechanics in pvp.
This is HUGE flaws, force developers to create skills that will be useful and balanced across the whole game. Such a approach limits new skills design and most important it slow down the development process(pvp ballance and changes).
2. VERSATILITY (no classic healer,tank,dps roles) – this lead to celestial amulet and awful sustain that nowadays can be watched on D/D ele.
3. TRAIT SYSTEM – fake diversity. After 2 years they realized that system they created at first look very complicated in fact lead to develope only few playable builds. After that, system was reworked and now we have more simplistic (more cumulative) trait lines. But that change nothing.
Trait lines just should have significantly unique play styles. They probably trying to do that with elite spec.
But design should be processed in this way, that one elite HARD counter other elite spec or creates specific roles. Otherwise it will just produce sets of versatile=dull specializations.
And last but not least, such a specialization should be visible on characters table.
And you should be able to change such a specialization on respawn to create more dynamic strategy wise gameplay. You will see that soon on overwatch (with hero change).
If you think that everything is ok with the game, take a look on NA, you really think that Abjured is dominating NA from very beginning of pvp scene is a normal situation ?

+1 for solo queue
The only troll here is AN allowing for so long to exist such a strong & versatile build.
Looking at current SFR and DESO queues it is impossible that SFR is full and DESO very high only.
How often do you update that data?
Current system for sure doesn’t work well… So take a closer look at those numbers.
Everyone’s know that pvp is lacking lots of things like that one. So what ?
As long as every dev will work on pve content and there will not be a serious team that can work ONLY on pvp, these things will not appear magically in the game…

This is not a common ascended item. This item comes from pvp beta league. It was sent by AN to me by mail. That is probably why, this item have different behavior.

why i am not able to transmute stats on my head gear received from AN as a reward (from pvp). Mystic forge doesn’t see that item. Please change that asap.
I can only say this is a joke and big mistake to give access to regular wvw for free accounts.

Limiting to EOTM is the only way to fix that and do that asasp.
It is not missing the tooltip, is trowing 14 nades instead of 7. Stop trying to cover this up with " stop crying " kitten.

It is impossible that piercing wouldn’t be implemented as intended…
The only bug we currently have is missing tooltip information that Grenadier trait cause also piercing, all grenade skills pierce with this skill. Acording to this change grenade barrage become a powerfull tool but only in zerker build which mostlikely will not be in meta.
Nowadays after patch too many people that shouldn’t play on zerker play zerker and that is why they are one shoted by zerker engi.
It is similar situation as was with turreter. Build wasn’t never in meta because it was easily countered by team play, but everyone cried about it as much as possible, now turreter is nerfed to the ground and it is no more viable option to play.
I recommend you all so much crying to start playing zerker engi and we will see how well you doing on that build. I wanna see only engis in game if they are so OP.
Is there an official statement that this skill doesn’t work as intended ? NO
Every class got some ridiculous boost, for engi is piercing with grenade barrage.
Every exploit in game should have official statement, that it is indeed an exploit, otherwise the only one who can be banned for using exploits are people that making that exploits = AN programmers. Learn from Eve programmers…
Is stronghold all we get ?
i’m not thinking about tracks crap, i’m thinnking about real pvp functions like:
- add functions/mechanics that help team creation and create real leaderboard based on that teams
- add functions/mechanics that help creating tournaments
- (get rid off current leaderboard), replace it with copy/paste blizzard hots/HS system – this is for casual play.
- MOAR SIMPLIFY and recognizable build system, new patch will bring specialisations which goes in right direction, but it isn’t enough to create more clear system like mobas have. Why like mobas and simple?, because otherwise this pvp will stay always as a niche without real pvp community.
Maybe create a new vendor that will allow to exchange tomes for e.g. waypoints, hearts etc., so pvp players, could actually achieve map exploration without moving from hotm.
Yeah, assumption that average mmr of team 1 = average mmr team 2 and everything will be fine is terrible. It comes from failure understanding how pvp works or it was forced. They wrongly assumed that one good player can carry novice players.
1. Ranked play should be restricted to some pvp lvl
2. Do not use average mmr at all. Try to find teams by checking players one by one.
They most likely using average team mmr, because, solo and team arena is now at same queue and at some point if you would like to check mmr one by one player, things can become tricky (because of parties 2,3,4 and full 5) and this can increase queue time.
You can not abuse conditions that are difficult to meet. For example 1. your team must win & 2. player must be in top 8 scorers. Even only “your team must win” is hard to achive after 1min disconnection, so where do you see space to abuse ?
Of course if reconnection time is faster than 60s, then additional conditions aren’t checked.
If both conditions are meet player did not receive penalty for over 60s(or whatever current number is) reconnection.
Current system only encurage me to leave suche a game completly, because when i’m back and my reconnection time is too long, i know that even if i will lead my team to win, i will be punished… NO THANKS, next time i will go in meantime to do something else. And that is why this is poorly designed, current system doesn’t enqurage you to help your team after too long reconnection time.
So i just played 2 games both won, but in second one i had computer crash. Most likely i didn’t get back to game quick enough to avoid penalty, because after those 2 games i ended with leaderboard -1pt, but it was quick enough to won that match and to become best scorer player.
So i want to ask is it so hard to add additional conditions to current disconnection penalty formula? Currently the only factor which is considered when disconnection ocure is time spent to get back to game…
They will fix that in HOT by adding actually flying turrets/drones. New turret meta will be only flying turrets/drones and you will no longer see abusing placement of turrets.
Please please please stop making teams where players have much different mmr. It is “bad” assumption that game will be ok if average mmr of party is ok. Better player CAN’T carry no skill player, this game will never work in that way. You need party of 5 people that have similar mmr.

Yeah this is so sad idea from very beginning.
Simple solution: add possibility to attack player if he agree (pvp on demand, no one else can attack that player) so people at least will fight duels at that sad waiting map.
And please don’t tell me that this idea will worse community relationships, if player doesn’t want to fight he will just don’t accept duel and that’s it.
And if you still adfraid that this will affect community, then add this only in pvp waiting map.
And this is most likely very easy for them to implement such a idea, they just don’t want to do this.

Just kidding, but seriously what you think about ripping off out of combat healing at least in pvp. That should open more strategy, more thinking game style. You need to use your brain how to manage your skills resources, instead of lame playstyle which is based on hit and run, heal out of combat return hit again….
doable changes:
- remove auto healing when out of combat – this simple change should add much more strategy to game
- add at top UI, players profession miniatures, that shows down state and shows respawn time
- drop idea that pvp must be equaly the same as pve (skills, mechnics, skills etc.)
Anyway to allow us to know our chance of winning before the match starts?
I would like to quit while I’m behind and get it over with as quickly as possible.
For ranked arena during a ladder, we plan to make the information available. I wouldn’t recommend leaving in one of those matches though.
That is good idea, but don’t forget to add description what it means. For example your victory odds is 15% you need to gain 300points to achive +1pt. Or even show the whole table with odds victory. Otherwise for many people it will not be clear what that odds means.
Can you at least reveal first HoT panel date ?
Try to look at it from the eyes of a beginner guys.
The NPCs award points, and give you a buff. Who wouldn’t want that?
It takes a higher level of understanding of the both the map and conquest mechanics to get that securing mid is important.
How would you guys suggest we go about teaching this to players?
You(AN) are always looking for difficult ways to do simple things. REMOVE PVE from PVP it’s simple as that! You can not teach people of intelligence!

If we talking about statistics, could you please add to leaderboard column that contain percentage of all games that were played solo?
That will add some interesting point of view for win ratio column.
In 2 games that I won today i was disconnected. In both matches i come back and of course helped in winning.
But at the end i lost 2pt for each match, yes ? So, it means that in total i lost 6pt. This is so much frustrating!!!
Why can you ad check at the end of match whether player is present and gained points and has same class as at the beginning ? If conditions are fulfilled player receive normal points instead being punished for desertion.
BTW i didn’t lost communication on TS during those matches so, it wasn’t my internet connection problem.

It is working, system is just flooded by achivment guys. The question should be why is there achivment for x class win?
My guess is that it is just the only idea that they had to attract new players to pvp.
You focusing too much on solo vs premade! It doesn’t matter for me whether i fight vs premade. I destroyed my guildies who were in one party while i was solo with solo players. What matters is players skills, that is why focus on equal mmr for every player.
Bring back account bound MMR! That was mistake to split mmr between professions.
Tell me that i’m wrong tell me that my mmr on every my class is almost the same (except guardian & thief).
Time will not solve that problem.
Next time if you see that it is something wrong, just stop playing pvp, it will be healthier for you all instead of crying how many hours you lost…

- no, we can’t do that, players will bad-mouth on us, they already bored on hotm

ok 2 games in a row only one registered in leaderboard. No disconnection no other reason to miss that match in leaderboard. Both played today 19.12 at about 2am (CET), both won.
Before second game i had 3 times in a row match ready screen(always one person didn’t check it). If there is a penalty for not ready on match ready screen as minus points on leaderboard, so most likely bug is on that check screen.
BTW punishing for not ready on check screen as -pts on LB’s isn’t the smartest idea (temporary queue ban is a enough punishment).
