Tired of reporting gold spam ...

What you need to do in order to stop gold spammers is:

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Suggestion-on-combating-the-gold-spammers/first#post130998

Guy made up a prefectly valid solution to the problem and nobody even supported his tread with bump or anything.

I saw there plenty of beautiful suggestions that never got recognized by anyone because everyone seems to be interested in making dyes shared across all their characters.

think would be enough if a person gets an amount of reports to prevent him from using chat for an amount of time.
later on what was suggested

I was just in a cutscene on a new character and I noticed something odd…
http://i581.photobucket.com/albums/ss259/Anethma_photo/Arenanet.png
The initials N A going down her stomach, but going up it’s A N.
Arena Net? Kind of a tiny thing to care about, but has anyone else spotted these initials elsewhere? Or perhaps other things?

its a sylvari skin pattern. but a good conspiracy thought lets start developing the conspiracy and spread it across.

Mursaat in Guild Wars 2

in Lore

Posted by: SunRain.8972

SunRain.8972

There’s a few things hinting about the presence of Mursaat in GW2.
In the Vizier’s Tower jumping puzzle, you can find a statue of a Mursaat.
When you get your celebration party in Fort Trinity at the end of your personal story, chatting to the named Asuran Priory scholar (can’t remember her name, sorry) drops some pretty heavy hints about future plans for the Mursaat.
And finally, on the GW2 wiki, it says this on the Mursaat page:
“ArenaNet has “some really cool plans” for the mursaat in Guild Wars 2."
That’s a cited quote from a developer. Personally I can’t wait, as even though they were evil SoBs in the first game, the realisation that I’d helped the Lich by killing Mursaat in Prophecies was one of the best things about the story.
They were also much cooler as an enemy than Shiro’s Shuriken, the Margonites or Zhaitan’s Risen hordes. They had grace and style.

Oh, and if you’re reading ANet, please, please, PLEASE ensure that any future endgame content you design tries to step away from depressing, blasted landscapes. All of your end games apart from Factions have taken place in dour, miserable locations such as Ring of Fire, Realm of Torment and Risen Orr. Can we get something with lush vegetation and pristine, gorgeous architecture next?
A Mursaat expansion would seem to be a great opportunity to explore something like this.
Mind you, while Factions somewhat struck away from this format, it was let down by the convoluted map design of Kaineng City and the apocalyptic focus being shifted to Shiro’s minions rather than the landscape.

So Risen Mursaat? yes?

SunRain.8972

i read a couple of the stuff about people getting angry that theres no Trinity and how the trinity is “needed”.

when ever i read it i feel like i am getting bald by the second with how it gets me angry.
(and i have long hair.)
First off as a dedicated healer and support charecter in most games, i feel like either Gaurdian or Elementalist have enough incoming healing props to make them heal
and make the Gaurdian tank enough on the side even with a staff. (yes even with a staff)
second, i find myself in almost every party with atleast 1 or 2 more players have a regeneration ability or another ability that keep the party on their feet.
So it would be easier if a Gaurdian or a Warrior would rush to keep other mobs busy while you bash the mists out of a specific monster.
i find myself dodging enough using roll to protect myself from a high massive attack or getting an aegis or a some protection that protects me from incoming projectile to survive enough in a party i see no reason to have the trinity.
I think alot of players who are dedicated healers or tankers feel more free in the game to try and be more aggresive or more at the back of the party to try do other things.

So i really thank Anet for showing how much you don’t need the trinity.

the passive arn’t that important because they come back just like that.
so when i see the need i use it, usually when i see alot of people in wvw if i am in a party starting to get on low health i blow the viture out even though everyone around me will lose its passive aura i use.
also, the only issue i sometime have is that i don’t get rez after i run around wasting all the aegisis i grant from shout or viture to revive others plus using defence shielding skills. And when its me that is downed everyone walks by most of the time.
So alot of times you think to yourself “let the other Gaurdians do their thing too”, because you feel like others are just selfish and i endded up taking anger at /team in WvW alot of other Gaurdians backed me up on it. In response i had PvP addicts telling me i’m a noob\rager\should uninstall if i can’t deal with it.
So yes it sometimes feel like.. Why should i use my comfort zone for them?

I did extensive testing on signet of mercy, i was able to rally players defeated while being targeted and not targeted at 800 range or so, so im pretty sure the signet is being subject of the prioritize buff bug at the end of the list, in which is attempting to resurrect whatever you have closer to you instead of a player in range that needs it.

ill try it by litterly standing on top of a person far from a defeated npc and see.
i wish the prioritize will be
targeted player>party member> regular player downed>regular player defeated>players pet>npc

it just seems really issued

My bad, it was supposed to be players Downed, not defeated, wrong word there ;p, I dont think it should ever resurrect somebody completely dead.

well then add this please that description needs to be edited to Rally a Downed ally if you can

Signet of Mercy – does not revive a dead ally only downed ones, has preference to NPC’s more on Party members.

Pretty sure it should only revive them if they are downed, not defeated, just like the warriors banner elite.

I couldn’t get it to work at all – neither on downed allies nor defeated allies. The only thing I managed to revive so far were defeated NPCs that accompany you in the dungeons.

they should fix the details about it then because its really confusing if so. Even so i still couldnt revive anything but NPC’s most of the time.

this is a spoiler

you got Ysvelta and Tiachren who are lovers and suffer the same story that Caithe and Foalin suffered.
I think Sylvaris have no orietation they are all either Pansextual or Asextual for that matter.
A developer stating he is not a lore expert said they can have sex with anyone they want but have no need to repreduce because of the Pale Tree.
take the Shield of the Moon path in the Sylvari story line and you will face as a main starting which is losing your love to the nightmare court.
Theres i think NPC heterosextual lovers in the grove somewhere if i remember but i think they don’t force it rather show it like its naturual no one is surprised by Sylvaris having a same sex couple really. either way Sylvaris are Fabulous!

(he repersent Switzerland in the game!)
i think they needed to round him up abit like they done with to afew other charecter the only problem i have with him he barely has personality to himself.

Also, just to point out, even the idea that “The Pale Tree raised all these Sylvari for some ulterior motive that we don’t know yet” flies in the face of everything we know about Elder Dragons.

They don’t plan. They don’t scheme. They don’t manipulate. They just fly off, destroying everything in their path, and eating everything that they don’t break.

The ONLY time we hear of a dragon scheming at all, is actually a result of the dragon’s powerful minions being told “Go do this” and the minion comes up with their own plan to get the desired result.

None of these plans are the result of Zhaitan’s direct intervention. He gives his minions free reign and THEY plan while he goes off and eats something.

goes off and eats something? i want to be a dragon now.

in PvE i use signet of Signet of Judgement with Great Sword and Mace\shield. his less supportiv in PvE he has great survivability thanks to his high HP and countering and the signet makes it easier to survive against high mobs.

because she is weak. She really is if you hear the story of how she crafted a sword and it took away alot of her spirit energy to make just one weapon you would understand she is weak.
I do think though that just like the dragons were waken up in the past the Sylvaris used to be in the past minions of a 6th dragon that may have died last time they rised.

Scepters are no joke. You can attack from a great distance with a scepter and when you throw down your ground damage and if you have alot of precision and you will do a ton of damage. I can throw out more dps with a scepter then I can with a sword or mace. It`s pretty funny because i love using melee weapons but there really isn`t a reason to unless you have to.

the scepter is powerful but its auto attack projectile is amazingly easy to dodge unlike other scepter Proffesions

White Mantle appear within one of the human storylines

I think everyone can agree White Mantle are still around, but what I was stating and this thread is the Mursaat…..it’s a race. They are different things.

Well the White Mantle are pretty closely tied to the Mursaat since the White Mantle worshipped them. I would expect that if any are still around there is a good chance they are pulling the White Mantle’s strings. They could easily be hiding. They werent know as the Unseen for no reason.

If the Mursaat wanted Queen Jannah down they would have done it in their own way already. but it wouldn’t be lore related

I wouldnt leap to that conclusion. If there are any Mursaat left they likely would want power taken subtly rather than risk another revolt. Furthermore, the queen is protected by the Shining Blade who have a long history fighting both the Mursaat and White Mantle.

i think in the situation they are in it seems the Mursaat in the situation they endded up would switch to another tactic rather then use humans as puppets.
Also, it would seem they would end up in a collective hate for the human race and use an alterntive.
It seems more logical to me for some reason that theres an outer relation to Asura and Mursaat (is it wierd that you get Asura inside Mursaat and Rata Sum can spell out Mursaat? i don’t know some it seem like a well hint.) On that i think its more relevant to the Lore to see how they handle the dragons.
Plus, i want to see a Mursaat risen one time..

One of my favorite subjects around Guild Wars 2 was the Sylvari naming.
alot of people who wanted to be Lore friendly faced an issue because there were not hints like with Charr or Asura naming.
So there was a debate on how do you choose a lore friendly name.

how did you choose and what did you call your Sylvari?
