looks like the problem is with the players.
I agree with you, If anet make a 2v2 or 3v3 rated game modes we might actually see more teams since the 2v2 who faced each other had close match and think the other team is good they might form a team with each other eventually.

I personally like team queue more, I don’t mind who I play with, the best way is if you like team queue, just add whoever you think is good to your friendlist and just pug team queue, you never know you might end up with a strong team that can be in the top 10.

That’s exactly how Car Crash [CC] Formed. We were just a pug friends playing with each other than suddenly we had the right players and the right comp and we destroyed every team and decided to form. you never know that might happen to anyone…

So in the last few days, i started playing more casual. I played with some top 700 ish team queue leaderboards from heart of mist, i did not know them. I though it was going to go really bad, to my surprise all of the 4 players i played are actually really skilled, they can easily be in the top 50 leaderboard, I decided to team queue with my viewers while streaming, got the exact same results. There are so many skilled players in the game who are unknown and they are all in the top 800.

From what I saw the only problem they had is they don’t know where to go and what to defend, all I did was tell them where to go, who to attack in team fights and when to defend, and we easily beat top 100 teams. these problems can be overcome with experience and playing more team queue with a team and not just random solo queues.

Why do all these skilled players never form a team?
I see maaaaaaaaany solo queue players who are good yet they have no teams.

If all these players form a team we might see 10+ teams who can compete to win in every tournament and not just 3-4 teams.

Maybe Anet needs to add more features that enables these players to form a team or something? or is the problem with the players not wanting to?

So mesmer is now broken, there are 2 main bugs:

1- warlock ignores toughness and can hit guardians for 8k+

2- Power block can stop players from ressing for 10 seconds if interrupted while ressing WHICH mean if any1 dies and you get interrupted by a mesmer than there is no chance of that player getting back up.

these 2 bugs need a hotfix asap because there are many mesmers in the top 100 who are abusing these 2 bugs and it has to be before the legend tournament!

Hammer guardian 1 shotting any class is common check this lol…

So I spent over 4k gems on town clothes before patch. Now they are all gone. I checked in the wardrobe and none of them are in it. I checked under all the options headgear and so on. When i go to outfits it says you have no items to equip. I’ve also checked under equipment.
Is this a bug or is there another way to equip town clothes?
I had the items equipped on my character already when the update hit. Did this cause the bug?

Does that mean all the match win chests will be removed on the 14th?

i opened 100 chests. My luck didn’t move a single % not even 1% lol.

Well, problem is i have already got 110% luck , it will take 2000 chest to get 1% which is not worth the time. again I would appreciate it if a DEV answer the real question. WHICH is will the match win chests be deleted.

Also Car Crash will be back for this tournament but only for this tournament before we move on again since there is nothing to play for after this tournament
Would be nice to have good teams like TP and CM back
TCG is already back. maybe having CC and TCG back will get the other good teams back for this tournament at least?

So I have 2000 match win chests.

I know that the crafting materials will be removed after 14th.

My question is will the match win chests also be removed?

If it’s not going to be removed than what will be in the chest?

If armor than what do we get if we salvage it?

Are we going to get more or less trash by opening these chests after patch?

I am not opening 2000 chests at the moment because the time it takes to open them is not worth the reward since I have every armor piece already, the only items i would get is useless crafting materials that can be made into dyes. Oh they also drop Luck which is also not worth the time.

Well I forgot to add PVP before teams. So yah probably 8-10 PVP teams rest pve

imagine if ANET does this legendary tournament every month. I think pvp would get flooded and HEART OF MIST WON’T HANDLE THE NUMBERS!

lol so over 500 PVE players wants to take part in a pvp tournament. This will be fun lmao!

hahaha if you guys really think more than 32 teams will register than you’r out of your mind. I predict 14-16 teams tops registering. Even if more than 16 teams register, they can always make them play the matches without the match being streamed.

Increasing population will not happen, not until china release anyways.
Since that’s not going to happen we might as well have some competition?

So the legendary tournament coming at the end of april,
new balance patch
new rewards?

I don’t think any old top players will come back.
This is mainly because most of these patches are aimed at casuals.
If ANET truly wants the top 50 leaderboard to be filled with good players and not just randoms than you have to bring a REAL reward system.

That’s just my opinion but that’s what I would suggest:

Bring TITLES!
at the moment being in the top 100 leaderboard or even top 1 leaderboard is meaningless and no1 cares who is top 1.

A title system like in GW1 is the most ideal
Giving points towards a title for being in top 150 and for winning against teams with average ranks of top 150 leader board will make allow many high end games to pop.
At the moment 99% of the time is just 1 team dominating the other team in team queue, there is literally no competition.

So my question is, I am pretty sure anet though of this idea since they have it in GW1, why would you make it in gw2? Is there a special reason? like to keep the game for casuals?

Also will we ever have daily tournaments?
Maybe daily tournaments with gem prices would bring at least few good games a day…

The new patch looks awesome, just not good enough to bring players back to the game. since none of the good players really care about skins or emotes. it’s all about competition.

I don’t think Anet recognize all the time this guy spent on skyhammer farming his rank 70. Anet why do you do this to him?

AAAHAHA can’t wait to see all pvers/wvw players with autoattack on kill them self. All i need is a mace warrior hit once and watch them melt!

Car Crash [CC] Will be back for this. Great Idea. Also to all the pvers who are whining.there are many pvpers who spent over 2000-3000 hours of gw2 and guess what, not a single nice skin to show off.
