^ There needs to be less account-bound stuff, not more, and purchasing junk items in the TP to transfer the gold is a trick as old as MMOs. Agree with above…. Increased headache for everyone without really fixing anything.
Disconnect and this error just started last night for me. It was running fine for hours and hours on end until now.
United States, in Tarnished Coast. I can play for a few minutes at a time and then get the disconnect notice with this error code.

No. You can pick an EU server. Just keep in mind the time differences between US and EU when thinking about the number of people online.
I love the level scaling because it makes all of the content still fun and challenging. I have been enjoying going to other low level areas to experience the content without breezing through it with the ability to one shot everything I come across. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite features of this game. I think that the way the scaling is done still gives a sense of progression to higher level characters (by not reducing or locking access to earned skills, gear, weapons, etc) while still showing a marked challenge, for me at least.
I agree that something does need to be done with the cost of waypoints. My personal story quests are getting really expensive and it’s almost not worth it to go back and play with my lower level and beginner friends. I love simply walking through the world, but that can be incredibly time consuming for a quick stop in a certain area.
I don’t know about arenas, but dueling – sure.
1. Make the requests blockable. Problem solved if someone never wants to see one.
2. Limit the area you can fire one off. Maybe have a “sparring ground” in the cities – or none at all. Dueling could always happen in non-cities.
I’m not a big dueler, but something like this would be agreeable. If there are sparring areas set up then people can either find it or avoid it easily. This way people that want to duel or want to watch the duels can do so, but people that want no part in it can just avoid the sparring areas altogether. Though I would go one step further and say implement sparring areas outside cities/towns as well, just to keep the field clearer for the actual PvE play.
There are plenty of instances of combat for entertainment in different zones and personal stories, but it seems to be more organized than just passing someone on the road and challenging them. That’s why marked, easy to find sparring areas would work both in and out of cities.
I am having a terrible time with dye drops. I’ve gotten 6 total since I started playing on the first day of 3 day head start. Maybe I am terribly unlucky, but it seems dye drops need a little tweaking.
I am in Tarnished Coast, too, and when I am playing I usually notice a lot of chatter. Usually it’s pretty lighthearted and funny and hardly silent when I’ve seen it.
I have a real love/hate relationship with the current dye system. I understand the reason for character only upon use, but for my personally the drop rate really sucks. I’ve played every day since the 3 day head start and have found maybe 6 dyes total? Yeah, I know there is crafting and the TP, but I have better things to spend gold on. I wish it was account-wide simply so I don’t have to go through the same process on every single character, but it’s not going to kill my game if it never happens. For now I just make the best of the given situation.
Unfortunately, most of the colors that HAVE dropped for me are these really horrible pinks and greens, but I did find a few usable ones. To be honest, it’s just the collector in me that wants account-wide so I can say I have all the dyes and don’t have to repeat the process 8 times.
I am in Tarnished Coast and everyone has been really friendly and helpful. I’m usually on later at night in my time zone so that’s the group I’ve experienced most. The map chat cracks me up more often than not, and there always seems to be someone answering questions and walking people through things or running to help whenever someone needs it. It’s been a great experience so far.
There are some things that I’m not really loving, but those are tiny complaints and pale in comparison to the sheer awesomeness that is this game. I have been glued to my computer since release and am still not bored with it, even playing across 8 different characters. This is the MMO I’ve been waiting for.
