the room becomes more and more electrified if you can’t avoid his super attack during ilvulnerability phases and use a hologram to disarm his shield. Also while you “can” attack him, get directly under him so that the room is not littered with those kitten annoying clock mine thingies. Hope it helps..

I don’t understand some of the whiners here.. Seriously dudes, go play crossword puzzles if you are not upto any sort of challenge! We thoroughly enjoyed this dungeon and the artwork! The achievements were a bit on the easy side but still nice to collect.

We want more stuff like this, puzzles to solve, bosses that need strategy to beat. Don’t listen to these people who come here 2 minutes after they enter the instance and start crying.

Kudos and keep up the good work!

Dear Rammie.2843,

The fact is this fight is “NOT” something,

  • that can just be zoned in and zerged through..
  • that can be done with half the people in the zone afk..
  • that can be done with people not assigned to their positions and doing their tasks..

IT is basically a typical RAID encounter where you start all together and depend on each other to be alert.

HENCE:
1. You either start the encounter when ready… or..
2. You are ready when the encounter starts.. There is NO other way..

It is like a football game, you don’t rush out from the shower room with people saying “oh the match started”

BOTTOM LINE:
Timer is needed
or a way to kick off the event like Karka Queen is needed..

Dear Anet,

When people don’t know when he’ll be back, we have to either:
1. Sit in front of the screen for an hour or more just waiting for him to come back, stuck in the area afraid to do anything at the risk of falling to an Overflow..
2. Go AFK and join the tens of other people that are still AFK 5 minutes into the fight! Completely sabotaging the efforts of everyone else that is ready to take the dragon down..

In a fight that needs coordination and preparation, not knowing when it starts is akin to telling Superbowl players that the match will start sometime in the next two hours and to get to their formation and stand still for 2 hours..

We need a timer, period.

Tequatl Crashes

I do Tequatl on Desolation Server ever since we first killed him, with 2 characters everyday. One an Ele with Bifrost, the other a warrior with Twilight. That’s more than 40-50 tries at least.

Here is the situation:

  • I never ever crash with my elementalist
  • I crash 2 out of 3 times with my warrior (If I lower the graphic settings to absolute minimum I maybe survive it. Crashes usually happen during phases with a lot action on screen and my twilight doing its fancy stuff as I use it)

My rig has top of the line components, GTX 690 Nvidia gfx card. I NEVER CRASHED IN GW2 BEFORE!

You can imagine how annoying it is to hear people cheering on TS when I crash and can’t get back on my home server… There are so many other people crashing as well so please look into this..

Since surely there’ll also be a revision to our poor safe spot smackfest dragon Shatterer, maybe Anet can benefit from some creative input from our community.

Add your own wild ideas about what challenges Shatterer can bring to the table, here are some of mine:

  • Shatter ground ability: The ground erupts and splits in true volcano eruption style where you can get caught and fall to your doom. (Beware where you stand)
  • Become Branded: Random players can acquire a condition and become Branded, attacking friendly enemies.
  • Labyrinth of Chaos: Shatterer shatters reality and you get teleported in groups of five to a labyrinth filled with branded creatures, you have to make it out of the maze to join your team.
  • Rotation: For once a dragon can actually turn around and attack to the sides perhaps?
  • Air Attack, Vulnerability Stage: Why not have some users fly Asuran aircraft to bombard him to make him vulnerable for a while? (Turrets are getting old isn’t it?)

Add your own ideas guys, perhaps Anet can incorporate some of these ideas! It’s our game too after all…

Since launch, commanders having the same color on map and game screens caused confusion for players. If all commanders on a map had different colors assigned by the game itself it would make things so much easier for everybody, examples:

Those who will capture keeps follow red commander.
Those who will defend SW stay with purple commander. etc..
Orr Champ farmers follow yellow commander, Grenth people follow blue..

Since commanders will play a crucial role in this event as well, it can help everyone if those attacking the boss follow one color, those attending the cannons etc. another..

DCUO has a very cool wardrobe system where every “look” you encountered or purchased etc. is stored forever for your character and you can mix and match infinately from the pool you have. I DO NOT find any plausible reason for ANET not to do the same in a game where cosmetics are as important as stats..

On a more serious note: I’d like to get the community’s opinion on Magic Find since now we’re spending so much click time and monies on raising it:

Very nice idea but goes against the idea of nerf loot in order to force players to buy gems to keep up.

Thanks, but I feel a healthy and engaged population that’s enjoying all the content the game has on offer would further increase avenues for profit for anet as well. The game was designed to make people explore and experience the whole world, but the lack of motivation to do so is pushing people towards a very limited “juicy” portion of the game at the moment.

Please take a second and write if you would like to have this feature in the game:

SHORT VERSION:

Daily featured areas where there are bonuses for being and participating in events in the area. Bonuses include:

1. Double or increased XP gains
2. Increased Karma Gains and lessened DR.
3. Increased chance of better loot / exotic/ascended/ precursors from major group event chests
4. Increased rate of event occurrences / tougher mobs etc.

Daily featured dungeons with the same principles

WHY?

Every day you log in you’ll be motivated to find adventure out in the open in a new area facing different dynamic events and bosses or in a new dungeon that you’ve seldom visited before.

THE LONGER VERSION

GW2 is built on a wonderful premise, with level scaling basically the whole world is open to exploration and adventure. And it is a remarkable world with vastly different landscapes, monsters, events and challenges. However unlike the days when the game was released they lie dormant with few people in them. The main cause is that they are not “worth” the time of a level 80 character.

I for one would be so much more inclined to log in every day and adventure in different places, see encounters I might have missed or forgotten. I remember how much fun I had when hundreds were storming a citadel where the centaur boss was located or when we accidentally found a huge elemental boss somewhere I don’t even remember now.

This solution would be very easy to implement for anet and would be a game changer in my opinion. Please share your comments and cheers..

P.S. RP wise the “featured” areas can be dubbed as “Under the shadow of elder dragons” instead of a flat featured area or dungeon of the day title.

Dude I swear on everything I hold dear that I got the hunter yesterday from 3xlvl 74 rares and 1xlvl 80 rare.. I sold it in 1 hour at a way more reasonable price then the two lowest 300g versions on TP.

Yes they did say level 74 rares DO NOT reward precursors, I even PM’d Linsey Murdock about the case, and she confirmed that level 74 and below rares DON’T reward precursors. (I can post evidence)

please do because i already know your reading the reply wrong because a friend of mine got the Spark from using 2 godskull items only a few weeks ago, long after the change.

I think by saying “give or take a couple of levels” Linsey hinted at 74 being a viable alternative. I did get a precursor that way and I have no reason to lie about it.. As I said so many people were asking me for advice and I just wanted to provide it.

I dunno man… I think “Only 75+ Rares” pretty bluntly states it… When did your precursor drop?
I’m not trying to be a prick here, I’m just sceptical, and yes, other than the “toss level 74 rares into the MF”, the other information you gave on the whole precursor business is useful, and thanks.

Last night seeing Legend hit 411 gold on TP, I said “kitten it” and went all out, bought 140 gold worth of lvl 74-76 exotic staves and then mixed them in the 1 lvl 80 exo+ 3lvl 74ish exotic staff formula.. 3rd try I got Legend and I kinda fell off my chair lol xD

it’s what gets the whole “batch” of 74’s up to level 80 in my opinion and experience.. I get a lot of exotics and when lucky precursors this way..

1. How do you even make 20g wtf bbqsauce i’ve been lvl 80 for a month and a half, i’m bad at this game
2. Do the weapons have to be the same type? so to get bolt or zap or whatever, do I have to put in ONLY swords or can I just use any weapons (sword, shield, gs, mace) and still have a chance to get that?
3. How do you make 20g? I have some investments in my bag that I want to sell for christmas but I can’t even put them on tp cuz of the taxes.
4. how do you make 20g?

Put on full MF gear and farm karma and cash while in a group with other people.. Not the best way to make money or the most enjoyable… but it will get you there

I’m not sure if this intentionally misleading, or a mistake but before anyone does this

Lvl 74 rares DO NOT REWARD PRECURSORS This has been confirmed by the devs, only lvl 75 and above rares can reward precursors.

Because of this I’m very sceptical about OP trying to make a big profit from having a lot of lvl74 rares and trying to make a big demand for them now, which probably isn’t the scenario, sorry, I’m a pessimistic person.

I can assure you 100% that I did get the hunter from 3 lvl 74 rares and 1 lvl 80 rare as in the method I described.. I have no wish to make more money in the game I reached my goal and just wanted to help people that’s all.. So sorry to hear you say this tbh..

Grats, you got lucky 3 times and you started off with 20g. I haven’t been lucky once and I used 160g. I wish I had your dedication, skill, and talent to take on this most difficult challenge. I have enough jelly to make 200 jelly samiches, so who wants one?

I agree with you on this, I wish you got a precursor when you get the Dungeon Master Achievement or something like this.. It would be better off being tied to a remarkable achievement of skill, dedication and teamwork.. Alas it’s the way it is atm..

Hello guys, having successfully crafted my astonishing Bifrost, I wanted to share some secrets that for some reason the “rich” are withholding from the general player base. Before I continue I will just say that the information I will give here is still not 100% scientific and if you’re the unluckiest person on earth it may still not help you. I’ll go topic by topic and I hope it helps our community. Again not everything stated here are brand new concepts but I’ll explain how I tweaked my “gambling” experience to slowly get to my legendary:

The Precursor game:

First rule of thumb, don’t go for your own precursor just yet if you don’t already have vast sums of gold around 150-200g mark. Let’s make some money first.

Second rule of thumb, use moderation! Limit your “gambling” activities to 25% of your cash at all times. This is important to “enjoy” the process and not rage quit if you go bankrupt. Be patient, you’ll get there…

Now the sweet part…

Go and place orders for random rare weapons, the cheapest one you can get level 74 and up. Accumulate like 100-200 of them aim at prices 16sil-20silver max. When you are ready do this exactly:

a.Toss 4 level 74 rares. You’ll either get a level 80 rare or an exotic. Keep the exotic.
b.Toss the level 80 rare with 3 level 74 rares. In my experience this increases your chances of getting a precursor.
c. Rinse and repeat.
d. When you’re finished look at the stuff you got. You’ll have some named exotics, some routine exotics and probably even a precursor. Sell the ones that go for a high price and be patient! do not sell them to the highest bidder.
e. Give it time and you’ll get back a significant portion of your investment. If not, rule of thumb 2.. You still have 75% of your total gold. DO NOT spend more of your total sum of gold..

With this method slowly you’ll begin to get some shinies that will increase your gold pool. I got a dawn, a hunter and a legend this way and I started with a 20g gambling pool to begin with…

Now when you have somewhere around 200g and you want your own precursor… If the method above didn’t work for you, again allocate 25% of your money.. and start playing with:

a. Level 74 rares that belong to your own weapon class. Buy the cheapest level 74-80 rares that belong to your class. or..
b. Level 74 exotics that belong to your own weapon class. Again buy the cheapest ones available.

Method b gets you level 80 exotics almost every time so higher the chance. IMPORTANT at both methods keep the “expensive exotics for sale” and toss in 1 level 80 exotic or rare along with 3 lvl 74 exotic or rares. This will boost your chances..

Summary: The forge is a gamble, and as with all things involving luck, the more you try the more chances you have to get what you want. HOWEVER limit your funds that you allocate to it and you’ll enjoy it immensely even if you lose you know a couple of days later you can play again. And trust me with this method when you get some “shiny” to sell or use for your character you feel very good about it

I financed all my legendary costs in this way.

Cheers and I hope this helps some people struggling to get their legendary weapons.

As everyone knows, in the first days when the game launched, dynamic events were a blast to encounter because you knew immediately a bunch of people would rush to the scene and you would be participating in a monumental event or a series of events..

These days the DE participation is limited to the Cursed Shore where everyone is farming karma and cash like drones and not enjoying it one bit. I for one miss the events where we used to discover a fantastic new boss spawning in the area or a chain of events that led to a remarkable encounter. Doing Grenth for the gazillionth time doesn’t give me a sense of adventure any more. There are literally hundreds of very cool events everywhere in the world but because of:
1. Lack of participation
2. Decrease of karma and loot possibilities
They are simply not done..

So here is my humble idea to very easily make all territories in the game vastly appealing once again:

Dynamic Territories to supplement Dynamic Events..

The notion is this: What if like Dynamic Events appearing over an area, some Territories became “contested” if you will. The territory for some set amount of time can have:
1. Increased event spawns
2. Bonus Karma Rewards per event that exceed those in Orr for the duration.
3. Chance of level scaled loot per mob
4. Chests in that area also have a small chance of a precursor like with dragons.
Then after the time is up a couple of other territories can “pop up” and a fresh adventure for everybody.

For example, I miss raiding the Centaur camp and having the final boss fight in his camp… Right now I actually even forgot where he was.. A lot of new people are just leveling their alts in WvW or by crafting these days because they simply can’t find people to intuitively play with like in the old days.

I believe this would be a fantastic new implementation to an already fantastic game. Please find ways to get the droid swarms out of Orr and back into open world adventure.

Cheers and hope developers and people find this idea worthwhile.
