Are SoR and BG arch rivals?

There is a certain level of mutual dislike between BG and SoR. I don’t know about SoR, but for BG, while we respect SoR warriors on the field, we really don’t like SoR’s forum warriors.

That being said, let’s not get baited by the trolls this time and stay out of forum wars, BG:)

Warrior/Guardian/Elementalist … Mainly since they are the classes who usually are on the tanky side of things and can be very good bunkers.

Put in the end it’s the personal opinion of the person buying the tag. And that is usually how people justify good/bad commanders.

Turtle stacking has many counters. It was very big in T1/T2 for awhile until groups figured out counters.

Actually, it wasn’t about players figuring out counters. It was ArenaNet removing all abilities that healed more than 5 players, like many used to. For example, the Guardians Virtue of Resolve and Empower skills used to heal infinite numbers of targets, so if you had 8 Guardians or so, you could mitigate insane amounts of damage.

With regards to stacking players now… you can’t expect to kill 50 people with few just because you’re all AoE spamming. If you only have a few people, that’s when you use siege.

Exactly! You find a counter. All you need is open field siege and a turtle stack turns into dead bodies.

Just gotta figure it out. Turtle stacking is ONLY effective when people do not know how to counter it. Once you know how to counter it they are just a bunch of dead bodies stacked ontop of each other.

Are you implying you think Kain has no NA presence, or what?

From what I have heard, Kaineng only has a good oceanic presence mainly because of WM and that alone.

I do not know how it exactly is obviously but it seems that the oceanic presence is what has been the biggest part of it.

A server with only oceanic presence will not do well in T1/T2. Considering the 4 T1 servers all have pretty good oceanic crews.

The big 4 are nothing to joke about.

Being able to pull out great damage, be decently tanky while being a decent support.

Staff – Mainly support focused.. Which is how I roll. I deal pretty good damage, while being pretty tanky and having good healing power.

Dagger/Dagger – High damage + great durability with loads of boons.

Dagger/Scepter – Basically the same as dagger/dagger. If not better.

You shall not pass!

I think white swords should go away. Allowing nodes/ninja’s to be possibly more successful.

While at the same time keeping orange swords, so people know where fights are going on.

Just pick a map and meet at the south supply camp near the windmill.

Sea of Sorrows, Jade Quarry, Blackgate or Sanctum of Rall.

All four servers are currently the best inside of WvW.

Had a very fun fight a Longview on SBI BL. 7 of us vs. 20 or so SBI. Props to my guys for picking so many of them off.

[Choo] is still looking to increase our overnight/non-NA coverage! If you are looking a great guild, inside of one of the best communities out there, then apply today!

Though I agree with you and what you say to an extent, I will say that small well organized guilds can easily wipe a zerg double their size. Just look at guilds like RedGuard and groups like them. It is possible.. It just requires discipline, superior communication/organization and class builds.

Though I do understand not all guilds wish to be “super serious” inside of WvW, but it can be done! Choking off supply camps and holding off enemy reinforcements is something a small group/guild can do rather easily and can benefit their teams assaults a lot.

Well I suppose I should thank you for proving me right, but there’s no need for the passive-aggressive sarcasm. I’m well aware of the score imbalance but “what’s going on” is allowed to mean more than “what’s the score” now … or so I hear. My source on this is unreliable so I’ll have to get back to you on that.

Sadly I was trying to point out that the score (and yes it is tremendous in more ways than one) hasn’t really changed all that much recently.

The last note-worthy wub wub experience I was involved in was earlier today in SBI defending Hills from the SoR armies. It was going pretty well for us until they managed to get a portal bomb inside the lord’s room, and that basically almost broke my computer (everything started going super, super slow and no skills worked – i wonder if it’s the same for the people attacking? I am honestly unsure, never been in a portal bomb/army that large). So that was that.

Recently what I have noticed is the very fast reaction times SoR have, and the sense that they are ‘everywhere’ at once. It makes for an exciting time in wub wub (even though you know that eventually the zerg will roll you :p)

On the whole portal bomb side of things and everything.. Yes we get the exact same problem.. We actually had a few people crash when they took the portal into the Lord’s room. It was great fun fighting for that keep though, and I hope you had the same enjoyment.

I feel sorry for those that lost connection during that important time; the same has happened to me a few times aha. T’is somewhat bittersweet. I really enjoyed the defense there today, I arrived somewhat late, but got into it fast – and I learned a few more tricks and what not, at least for defending Hills.

Yeah it always seems to happen at the worst possible times. I’ll take one of our portals somewhere and hope that I don’t crash.. Considering my computer really needs to be upgraded.. x_x

Give or take the adrenaline of that fight was worth the time put in!

Also on the tips and tricks, we learned a bit on how to defend hills better as well!

Side note: I am always confused why people complain about culling… Because both sides have exactly the same problem. It’s not like one server can see you and one can’t. We (Choo) run into these problems quite a bit and have in the past.. We will run right through a zerg of PiNK or something and never know and neither will they… Until we both fully render for each other.

Same here! That was probably one of the best fights I have had in WvW and I believe a lot of folks who were out there would say the same.

Seems like you’re starting to be like them, and it seems like we’re starting to act like you guys…sigh This is really ugly…

How about we get back to the friendly banter between the servers, along with score updates. Rather than point fingers at each other and see who can try to flame the other server(s) the most. We are all better than this, so lets keep it the way it was previously.
