I would put my money on NA

NA would win, na plays for points and win.. Eu plays for fights and fun.
NA will win but eu would wipe NA zergs 10 times over. Different styles of play really.
Choice is simple actually.
If u want to win at any cost, go to NA, if u want agressive fights then go to Eu.

You’d be surprised. Some NA guilds are VERY tactical in open field fighting against other zergs. NA WvW is about tactically taking points before tick and upgrading/defending your largest point holders. That being said my guild has been able to wipe out enemy zergs that double/triple our numbers.

But you see. This is my point. You’re still loosing. No matter what objective you have on the map, or whatever is happening at the time. You’re still loosing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to insult you. Tonight has been a ton of fun, and maybe this week will be different. But the fact is, up until now, you haven’t won a single match in almost two months.

I play to have fun not just to win. I enjoy the game mode for what it is and the teamwork required to play it. Win or lose we still seem to kick your butt and it has been a lot of fun tonight and I will agree with that. This match is also very different for the both of us and it’s nice to have a change. WvW reset so no need to push out your chest so quickly, you aren’t even in the lead anyway!

Also you mean losing, not loosing. Seems like BG has bad education there. They need to put more funds into schooling!

So many buttthurt SoR in an IoJ thread claiming they are t1 material, BG has 5-0 you guys and SoS owned you 3-0 that’s 8 weeks straight losing, get over it and move on.

It’s better to lose than win in some ways because you learn how to fix the mistakes. Which is what we have been doing these past couple weeks and has shown. But saying we have been getting “owned” is laughable. We both know SoR has been head-to-head with BG even with no night crew. The main reason BG has a lead like that is because they hold most of the map during the night/morning while we sleep and do things in the real world!

PS: I don’t know WHEN you saw the main forces out there, because i haven’t seen they for a while (the exactly reason SoR is winning in PP in my opinion)

We haven’t seen them for an hour or two now but they were here. They tried to push garrison about 3-4 times and gave up after getting wiped each and everytime. Haven’t seen them since.

Too bad all of BG’s main forces have been getting swept off their own BL. If anytrhing they are licking the bruises we’ve given them.

BG has secured the win with a 40k lead. There is no way SoR can win so most ppl are resting for tomorrow. Theres also an alliance meeting going on so many of the commanders are involved with that at this moment.

If anything they are scraping by because they can hold the maps for a couple hours each day while we all sleep. Once we get a night crew we can take anybody on. Well, I apologize if that came off as offensive to your server, that was never my intention. I obviously don’t know the T2 environment very well other than the fact that Blackgate has been winning for awhile. Comparatively, both BG and SoR beat TC to the ground the last time we played so I have no doubt that both are much stronger servers.

Hehe it’s not a problem, we are a very dedicated bunch here at SoR. Blackgate has indeed had the lead but it has mainly been because they hold the map nearly completely for a few hours as I have stated. But nonetheless when the server is awake we take everything back and collect badges. Once SoR gets a night crew we will be much more dangerous than we are currently. As we already are quite dangerous with our NA presence from what you have seen/been told.

We welcome you to T2 though with open arms, and finally a new opponent. It’ll be nice to have fresh blood and badges to collect. Don’t take this as anything offensive because it’s just some good ole propaganda to get this weeks fight a bit more exciting. We can’t wait. Don’t forget to just have fun!

I’ve been getting a lot of random crashes/freezes while in WvW as well. I have been thinking it is my drivers/anti-virus but it could be something on their end as well.. I don’t really know what it is.

I know many people like to pvp solo or with small groups, unfortunately these styles are squashed and are at the mercy of large zergs that mindlessly stumble around the battlefield.

What? Small groups and lone players are perfectly alive and very valuable. You cannot perform supply war, scouting, map cleaning (from hostile roamers and small raiding groups) and watch duty with zerg. Zerg-size groups is optimal only for large assault and defense missions.

To be honest small groups are much different than lone players running about. Small groups have a smaller chance of getting picked off compared to a lone player.

The problem with supply camps from a defensive point of view is that there is really no manpower-efficient way to defend them. You have to leave 2/3 people standing around doing nothing at every camp if you don’t want 1-5 people to come ninja them in 1~ minute. The defense is forced to use two or three times the manpower of the offense if they want to maintain these points. However, this is only a “problem” from the defensive standpoint.

From an overall game design standpoint, it isn’t a bad thing to make it really inefficient to defend the cheapest and weakest points, it gives the attackers the advantage on supply camp fights whereas the defenders get the advantage in almost every other situation.

Oh but there is a defensive standpoint. If you have to walk through a tunnel to get into the camp, arrow-carts and ballista’s. Boom now your problem is fixed and just need a few people to man the siege and you have some extra defense against 5-10 man groups who try and snatch it. You can EASILY defend camps with well placed siege. People just don’t seem to understand how powerful siege can be defense wise.

Downed state is fine imo, but smaller groups can easily beat larger groups if they are organized. We had about a 20 man guild group going and we knocked out an 50-60 IoJ zerg that we ran into. Bigger is not always better.

The behavior is correct in that your character was killed while in combat but the team talked it over and we’re not happy with the golem going away as a result. We’ll get a change into an upcoming build so that if you’re in a golem when you DC the golem itself won’t be destroyed but will instead be left behind as though you had exited it.

lol we’re not happy with the recent patch update .. when we came back five golems we had waiting went poof. That’s a nice chunk of coin to have just disappear after an update. (They were parked at the WP, so no they were not lost in battle).

What happens, happens. It’s happened to us loads of times as well. Can’t expect to never have to worry about it, but I understand your position.

Seeing as you were solo roaming you instantly put a big huge target on your back. You should expect dying whenever you are running around alone. After all you ARE playing against with two other servers.

No and no.

Top servers don’t need to “only” zerg to win. We (SoR) being 5-10 of us just defended a tower that was not upgraded against a 40-50 man zerg. Top servers understand that well placed siege and tactics can make anything possible.

Also, zerging is a very big mistake as well, because you leave EVERYTHING undefended for the most part. Unless you leave a few people at each place that you cap.

You can play WvW at any level and gain decent experience if you run around and cap supply camps/kill dolyaks. The higher you get the more experience you will get obviously and you could get a quite few levels a day easily just by playing WvW for an hour or two. Plus you are helping out your server/borderland by keeping supply out of enemy towers/keeps.

Anet has a ton of respect for their playerbase and they tend to listen to what a lot of people say/think. Even if everything doesn’t happen that you would want. If you ever played GW you would know that they respect their fanbase a ton. Heck they added two “mini” expansions to the game because people asked for it, so they had something to do while waiting for this game to come out.

Here is an early welcome to T2 as it seems you will be having to stepping up your game a lot. Can’t wait to see you guys, and we’ll give you a warm welcome alright.

IoJ has been fighting T1 quality servers in T2 for months, with no real chance of winning for most of it. Hopefully moving down a tier will allow us to have a shot at winning, or at least be very competitive, thereby inspiring more of our population to participate in WvW (which has been our biggest challenge).

I will agree with this. We (SoR) and BG have been throwing you guys around for weeks and all the punishment has really shown throughout this week. But we apprecaite your competitiveness and dedication to still come out and have a little fun with the rest of us.
