Hook Strike is the ‘in stealth’ skill.
Guesting did not help. I am unable to get into the game due to this error again.
Anything that awards a Mastery point will have an icon in the rewards category. Red for central, green for HoT. So if there’s no icon, you won’t get a mastery point.
Agony resistance only affects agony damage. It won’t affect ‘punch in the face’ damage. And yes, if you have enough AR, agony is irrelevant.
You will still be able get the old precursors from drops.
You will be able make the new and the old precursors with the mastery track.
Actually making old legendaries won’t change.
Making new ones will require new things.
The mastery path for legendaries they keep showing is the Moot’s, so you can probably assume the old precursors will be in.
So here’s what will happen:
1) ANet says let’s do something about that.
2) ANet cuts all healing bases by 25%
3) ANet says ‘ok, if you have 900 healing you can get 33% more healing than you used to be able to, total.’
4) We all cry that now we need to have points in healing.
That we don’t need to put points into healing is fine IMO.
No mention of the achievements working and giving you permanent rewards means another weekend of ‘you lose whatever you do’. Which means another weekend of ‘I logged in as the new classes, played around a little, and then went back to the game that rewards me for playing’.
Edit: mm I sound bitter, but I’m not. I’m telling ANet why they they might be getting less user feedback then they may hope.
You really haven’t indicated what is wrong and how it could be better for you. Or if you have, I missed it. I have no problem with the current interface.
Good luck with whatever your suggestion is
You get more rewards for taking it than for defending it.
It doesn’t matter that he can get there. What matters is that that veteran is going to tear him to pieces in moments. A level 80 veteran vs a day one character, in an environment where other players can come kill you? C’mon.
I found this to be a non-issue by doing this:
1) Read a book.
2) Dismiss the first popup.
3) Use a book.
4) Dismiss the first popup.
5) Repeat until you are done.
6) Dismiss the second popup once you are done.
You don’t need to close the second popup to read more books. It’s one extra click overall.
Doh, ninja’d.
If you have inventory space issues, and generate more than you can use, then throw away the rest. I did this. It helped, and since I’m generating more than I use, it comes back in case you need it.
The black wings were in the store for one day, then came back later for a week.
The white wings will do exactly the same thing.
There we go!! Thanks!!!
All out of date, I’m afraid. The wiki says chest armor is 106/76, and it’s 141/100 now.
Thanks! But sadly I totally asked the question incorrectly.
I’m looking for the numbers on armor. Like Major/Minor/Celestial stats.
I’m looking for a table with the new ascended armor stats (power, precision, etc). Anyone have a link to one please?
TY!
45 seconds on FE, but no one actually crit him.
Jormag, Teq are gonna be giant pains with 2x health and no extra damage from crits.
Try it out, I think it’s just a visual bug and the stealing recharge is actually sped up.
It was intentional. It’s ‘too hard to balance’ ‘too random’ and ‘hurts the purity of pistols’. I’m just as frustrated.
GDI.
You could have at least added something to make up for the damage and range nerf.
Well I guess it’s gone.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3arohv/thief_pistol_nerf_confirmed/
We lose range, damage, and AOE on the pistols.
PvE is ALL about tagging mobs. Now the only way to do so is autoattack with the shortbow.
BORING.
I held off on pre-purchasing HoT to see if this was resolved and my main character wasn’t ruined, and now I know.
I’ll just say this one last time, in hopes.
P/P with ricochet was FUN. Unload, especially, looked cool and was fun to attack groups of monsters with.
It was not overpowered. No one ever pointed to a PvP P/P Thief and did anything but laugh.
I (we?) don’t care if it’s RNG if our bullets bounce.
I (we?) don’t want to wait an unknown number of months and pay $50 to get this functionality back. If that’s even the plan.
900 range on every ranged attack is terrible.
There aren’t even any traits for SB, and it got nerfed as well. It doesn’t even get the 5% increase to dual skills.
Autoattacking with SB to get AoE attacks is not fun.
Isn’t fun what it’s supposed to be about?
I took a long break a year ago, and this trait is what got me interested again. With it gone, especially for what seems like such a RANDOM reason. I don’t see myself staying.
Hoping this is all still a misunderstanding,
Saurak

P/P thieves all over the forums are saying ‘Where is Ricochet?’, hoping that it was somehow omitted or is baseline now or anything.
P/P is subpar in pvp, even with Ricochet.
P/P (alone) is adequate in pve, but with Ricochet it’s fun and effective.
SB, the only AOE weapon for thieves, is incredibly boring. And was reduced in effectiveness as well.
Please comment.
Thank you.
Please comment on Ricochet’s removal. Was it a mistake? Is it in baselines? If not, why did you think P/P wouldn’t be ruined without it? Thank you.
Waiting for the Elite Spec means
1) Spending $50
2) Waiting who knows how long
to get back functionality I have right now. Still not a fan.
Ugh. Do not like. Really hoping it’s a baseline change to pistol. This is the only thing that makes pistol viable indeed.
They’re useful now if you’re after the items that require those materials. You’d be better suited, in my opinion, creating Mawdrey and the Ethereal Star (that is the item that eats Emps, right?) and getting some other things from them if they’re taking up that much space.
Wait, can you make the star if you missed Wintersday?
Losing interest, really. Not to 0, but many things are reducing it:
1) Super slow and incomplete information coming in.
Many the posts on the forums are ‘what is happening to this or that’, some of which ANet has vaguely explained, just enough to cause fights about it. Biggest example: ANet knows (I believe) what will happen to skill points. Please spell it out nice and slowly for us.
2) Nothing happening in main game.
LA got some new art, and while I’m not discounting the effort that took, it doesn’t give me anything new to do.
3) No release date. No approximate release date.
It’s smart to not promise a date before you can hit it. I wish my own PM would grok that But.. this year? Next year? Some clue, please.
4) No idea what my character’s skill set will look like. No idea how to outfit my characters.
So much up in the air on this, because of 1). I have incomplete characters that can’t make armor/weapons cause I have no idea what I’ll want later. However long later is.
Why on earth hasn’t the invisibility bug been fixed? This is one heck of a complicated fracatal; being invisible makes it much worse.
As a temporary fix, would not turning us into Asura help?
Alrighty, thanks for the info!
Long, long ago I finished the story missions to every dungeon. I’ve just started to poke at pvp, and I notice that all the dungeon tracks are locked and want me to do the story again. Is there any way to cause the game to acknowledge that I’ve already done them?
Thank you!
I use them on all my characters because I fall off of everything. That used to cost me a few points, dipping into the trait line. Now it takes an entire trait line, and it happens to be one that my main character doesn’t want. Of all the changes, this is the one that annoys me the most: I lose access to a trait that is HARDLY uber that I use to make up for sucking at jumping puzzles or falling off things all the time. Switching skills out constantly is boring and can’t possibly be what they want us to do.
Plus I fall off things all the time, which is why I have paid the price on all my chars.
I wish instead that falling for half damage (cooldown 30s or whatever) was baseline, and these ‘bonus on falling’ traits were just additional things that happen once every 30 seconds.
Right, so the ‘problem’ is that that would give the character skill points in excess of leveling up or skill challenges, and be turned into mats anyway, from what I’m reading.
Hello!
Thanks for the articles on Specialization. However, it is pretty unclear what will happen with skill points (to me, anyway) and I’d like some more information.
Simply put, I have these characters/things:
1) Character with 100% world completion, most skills, and 956 skill points from leveling up a lot, probably eating a few skill point scrolls, and playing for a long time.
2) Character with a terrible world completion, a few skills, and 195 skill points, mostly from leveling up.
3) Hundreds of +1 skill point scrolls.
What will happen to each of these? I’m mostly concerned that 2) will find all her excess leveled up skill points lost (turned into mats) and all her skills untrained (since the unlocking system is changing), which will (probably?) lower her abilities.
Thanks for any insights!
Is today the day to get my people to 500 crafting?
Here’s my guess: You had your bank open when you double clicked on it, so you could see your tasty new slots ASAP. So when you did, the item went into your bank instead of actually being used.
If not, good luck finding the cause!
How is anything other than ‘craft when the recipe is renabled’ a choice?
Thanks

W2Z2 took us longer than expected, so I just want to make sure we have enough time allocated when we try W2Z3
Thanks!
Welcome to game!
I don’t know anything about the Collector’s edition.
You can’t mail items to your characters one way or the other (you can only send mail to someone else. They can send it back, of course). You can, however, put your items into your bank vault and then log in the other character and take them back. Banks and crafting stations have this property and can be found in all cities.
Carrion SB. Haven’t decided what to do about the skin yet.
It would be nice to keep having a break… I’m sure lots of people still need SAB work, 100% exploration work, work on alts, etc. The frantic pace of the living story really demanded all my time, at least.
There also might be stuff not in the preview.
It’s a bug. They said they’d fix it.
Xunlai Electrum Ingot – “Refined from silver, gold, platinum, and mithrillium.”
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Xunlai_Electrum_Ingot
maybe this was a preliminary idea before they chose to go with Deldrimore Steel Ingot?Crystalline Ingot – "Refined from crystalline ore. "
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crystalline_IngotThey are both listed on the wiki’s crafting material list
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting_material#Ascended_crafting_materials
but appear to have no uses and no way to get them?
They said they put entries in for future stuff. I assume those are Jewelcrafting and Armorcrafting ingots.
You can’t sell them. That was clear once they said they would be account bound. Making them soulbound after you select the stats isn’t helping, but they were already account bound and unsellable.
At 475, the only thing that gives xp is crafting/discovering exotics. All the new stuff is grey and dead.
They just posted that it’s a bug and it will revert. Excellent.
Nice! So what is your % MF now?
