Exactly what Delis wrote is right now happening with Kodasch: we lost 20 people to RS, add the other Guilds and Players which transferd there and you have one massive hyped blobbserver. Ok, that one is on the kill greedy bandwagoners.

The problem right now is: glicko is still to slow, so we have a MU with RS and Vizu.
RS is dominating the whole MU, Vizu and Kodash don’t play that much and many players in our community are like “who gives a f***?”. Our whole nightcrew was trying to secure the 2nd place so that we secure our 2nd place. And now? It’s basiclly dead, why should i waste my time in wvw when 2nd and 3rd gain 1 point? There is no point in staying up late, when you don’t have a chance to get to number 1 and you don’t have any benefit, when you are number 2.

The system is just not working.

Honestly, the only problem I see is that there is no value in being a kittenter that only fight for second. Since I’m not unto that, it does not affect me.

Well i guess you never have played a 20 vs 60, because you are either a WTJler or you just don’t play in missmatched MUs.

So either way: you have no idea whats going on in some of the MUs but you still sit here and critizies other players. Good for you.

I dunno whats wrong on your side of the planet but my homeserver nightcrew is pretty wrecked because most of the time we tried to defend the second place.

There is no point in playing MUs against BB anymore, they nightcap with 60 we with 16 so why should we bother playing?

So yeah, the scoring change is not really helping against the nightcapping advantage that some servers have.

That would assume that they are interested in communicating with us. ^^

What is there to like? It basiclly kills the competiveness of this system even more.

The Number One server is a save number one while second and third dont give a kitten about the MU.

Let me just clarify: Nothing in this game, other than boredom, has burnt out/drove people and commanders from this game like the 3 tournaments we’ve had. I’m sorry that you think this would be something fun to do, but it’s not for a great number of us. People are competitive, people want to play and have fun. They can’t do both, usually, when these things are run. The only way most servers can compete is to burn themselves out, and this was when the population was UP. I don’t even want to think about what it would be like now with so many people gone from the game. What you find to be a fun! event in theory, would be horrible in reality. They can bring back the tickets as skirmish rewards or something, but really, this is a horrible idea.

To be honest, if we would get lots of good stuff for the torunament i would be very pleased to get new ones, but since ANet is hating us WvWlers we as sure as hell would get the same loot we get last tournament.

I don’t want to kill anymore dragons, because honestly it is mostly just awful boring.

HoT was a massive letdown for me, the areas where not my cup of tea, the enemys are condition throwning kittens and worst of all: the end fight in the mind of the dragon was plain and simple this: boring af. :/

Cant’t they just give us at least a glimpse of Cantha, an ambassador who comes by and says “well turns out we could use some help, we have some kind of chrisis. Finish your dragons and ship over to us”.

Give us hope of seeing the beautiful places of Cantha again.

PS: oh and the EotN areas, they were kind of awesome.

First of all: adjust the transfer prices for the linked servers to the highest of the linked ones to at least try to make bandwagoning harder.

Secondly: you say you have problem in balancing populations. Yes we can see that right now in the EU where you linked FSP with 2 servers the last linking and you liked Abaddon and Dzago again who won most of there MUs by having the largest number of active wvw players.

To be honest, i don’t believe the numbers you are giving us or if they are true you draw the wrong conclusions. What you need are more developers ON the servers who play there regulary and are integrated in the server community.

Maybe more servers are a good thing, but i highly doubt it.

Well , the short answer is: they don’t care

The long is: they do care, but don’t really know what to do so they do little things nobody asks for (canons) while they stay true to their principal of not communicating with us at all.

The german forums are a mess, no mods or devs are posting in the WvW Threads and the only time you notice that the mess is being moderated is when you post a “F Word” which gets you one Stike. Oh and it if you use the nice little “You don’t agree, write us” function they don’t answer there aswell. So basiclly everything you write in the german forum is a waste of time, cause they just don’t care.

Linking Abaddon and Dzago is not a good idea and they are now steamrolling to place 1 because of the huge WvW population they always had? Guess what: basiclly every player with common sense told them to not relink them again and what did they do? They did it again. I just wait for the next excuse “well we have 2 large French servers so we needed….”.

What won’t happen is the removal of the world linking. Thanks to the poll they won’t take it away… sadly. All this means is that this Friday will be the same as the last several Friday night’s for me… I will NOT be online until sometime on the weekend, except to pop in to PvE and get the daily chest and maybe do the PvE dailies then head back offline.

As noted by me several times.. my days of WvW dedication simply don’t exist anymore.. period. Also, sadly I don’t think ANet even reads most of these… and if they do… well… I realize this is more for us to chat about what bugs us and not for them to take action… I know that won’t happen. :P

Quite frankly iam sick of the world linking and due to that sick of the WvW alltogether…

That was the last straw with WvW for me, they messed things up big time, they never listend to the players (best example: EOTM critcs that were shut down). The list of theire failures is so long and most of the time they don’t admit. Meanwhile the WvW forum is dying to, cause the ANet folks only come out to praise theire newest madness (cannons).

Here is my personal list of failures:

- Golem week (why!?)
- Dessert BL (noone asked for it)
- EOTM (clusterkitten map for karmatrains, btw. exactly what some folks told them after the beta)
- still no fix to dmg at gates
- siegebreakers (were never needed if you know how to defend propally)
- no extra points for T1/2/3
- no rewards for scouting
- no real GvG Mode
- the butchering of small guilds (yeah lets all blobb alltogether x.x)
- no new tournaments
- no seperation for pve/pvp/wvw skills builds
- the mode is still not as rewarding as pve/pvp
- no knowledge of the basic problems (or they just don’t care)
- the long overdue of server shutdown (sorry, it is hart i know, but sooner or later it has to be done)
- server linking that only benefit linked servers, while taking away everything the solo server achieved (look at the EU Top 6)
- very very very very bad style of communicating with the players (polls LOL)
- the refusal to admit/see that the polls are being trolled all the time, because the options are both bad and you have to pick the lesser evil
- the WvW Map mix that always benefits the DBL
- it took FOUR years to implement a system to craft more than one superior siege weapon
- implementing PVE Events in WvW (Scarlett…)
- ignoring the nightcapping issue

Well, thats all i can remember right now…

The whole linking system is a desaster for every non linked server.

Just look at the EU and tell me it’s not…

Btw. move BB to NA, they have 0 daytime coverage but have 100 – 200 players at night who just cap everything. Great, juuuuuust great.

I agree the server linking has not “worked as intended” but its also the players that have made this an issue with server hopping. Players have screwed this up. Not developement. It was also an issue long before the super server was launched. So suck it up. “WE DID THIS!”

This could have been avoided by linking the Transfercosts to that of the highest servers.

I just returned to PvE (thx for killing the EU MUs btw…) and i still need to farm exp for the first chapter (the magic counter skill thingy whatever). So i have to grind 500k exp to go to the next chapter. Please tell me, that the new map is not a open PvE clusterf*** again… i just want to play the story and do not want to be bothered with PvE Eventtrains. Thank you.

Doesnt matter where they have been. Servers rise and fall, been like this since release. They are rank 8 and 9 fighting rank 1 in a matchup that never should have happened. This is fact.

The thread was not about a particular matchup but to visualize server linking problems matchups were used as examples.

We fought our way up, we foght to stay there, we gave everything we could to be in gold. You on the other hand have been linked to two others servers so that you can beat both french servers. We got our position because of our sweat and tears, you were gifted your number 1 spot because of some BS ANet reason. Do you get it know?

To be perfectly clear: linking in T1 is BS, i always thought they would link bronze and maybe silver together and not gold servers.

Where you complaining in february before the links when a rank 5 Kodash met rank 9 FSP and won with with 110,000 points due to nightcapping?

If you say yes, well you know the matchup is kittened, not the links. If you say no… well there you go. Everybody loosing complains.

Do you see the little difference between 5 – 9 without linkings and 1 – 9 WITH linkings?
You have been pushed by ANet to spot 1 so that they have a third server against the 2 french servers and now you get linked with 2 servers which are not linked and you beat the crap out of them. GG WP. If we loose against your server only, i would not complain because it would be our own fault.

Probably because the nobody like night capping. Personally i don’t enjoy doing PvD for hours.

but if you log in before 8-9 there is not enough people in maps, because here in spain we work up to that hours. (6-7, grab a beer with friends and arrive home)

i don’t think population matters that much. in the end it comes down to skill and organization of the commanders in the server.

TC fights outnumbered all the time and we still beat larger population servers frequently in zerg fights.

Yeah because if we have more skill we would be able to get our EBGs back with our 10 – 15 people against the 40 people on FSP.

We only can hold our homelands because its the desert BL and they don’t seem to wan’t to play there. xD

That may be the intantion, but it isn’t working at all. Half of my Guild has left the game and has not come back not even for HoT (me included). GW2s problem lead to people joining other games, WS has become F2P, ToR got a really good story based addon (well, not really mmorpg anymore) and now B&S is fishing the people who wanted Cantha since Day 1.

Anet seriously needs to get their heads together and just drop the whole eSports thing and should focus on a way longer Addon Story (not this LS episode nonesense) and on the WvWvW, because lets face it: the game looses so many people because they did nearly nothing for the WvWvW community…

I’m sorry we weren’t able to answer earlier, but it took a bit of time to research how best to address player concerns. I’m glad that this is going to be resolved in a way that will give players a great deal of flexibility, customization, personalization, the whole lot.

I was just thrilled when the devs said the custom option could be done. I think my “Yaaaay!” was heard in downtown Seattle.

Next step will be bringing the Frog back? ;D

Here are a few tidbits from the team:

• A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.
• The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.
• You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.
• The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.

So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.

we’ve been together since 2005 and everything was going so well, but i noticed over the last ~2 years that you have changed. Maybe it’s my selfishness for wanting Addons for which i want to pay, or that i still want to have my homeserver which i have choosen insteat of megaservers, or that i want a balanced pvp and wvw, or it is the fact that i still want to fight other guilds with my guild in our own personal Guildhall, or that i simply want to choose how much gold i spend on gems. Dunno why people rated Baruch at Place 7 or lower. There Nightcapping is enormous so they are easyly in the top 3 with Sfr and imo Jade.
All german servers are suffering from the same “problem” very weak nightcoverage.
It’s nightcapping that wins you the matchups. So heres my prediction:

3. Jade/Baruch
4. Deso (maybe 3)
5. Kodash/River
6. River/Kodash
