Bad idea.
1. Too much gems.
2. No one game mode/encounter/event not provide gems. Gold, items, but not gems.
3. Difference between Ranked and Unranked – wrong! More rewards = more people who play just for rewards. Ranked for people who want challange and place on LB, extra reward exist in Ranked for top players (even if now it’s grindboard) – lama, glorious hero armor.
D/d Ele op – that’s true.
Engineer skill floor not so high, because engi have best customisation of skills in game. You can take 4 kits and be a Mozart, but you can take dual pistols, 3 elixirs and HGH – and still be effective with only one weapon set.
Unlike ele, engi can be so hard to play, as he want. Jack of all trades in skills, build and playstyle.
My view:
S: Ele (only d/d, other specs balanced like cele staff or gimmick like FA)
A: Engineer(cele engi one of the most balanced cele, condi strong and ok) , Warrior(all builds, except zerk trash), Teef (a class that kills any chance for zerk-active-pro-skill meta)
B: Necro(slow – it’s only problem, replace wurm for ok blink and this class can be A tier), Mesmer(one really viable spec and even this spec need babysitter or teef kill him alltime everyday anyway), Ranger(condi survival very ok and good balanced, just sidepoint defender not needed in this meta), Guardian(as damage dealer he is slow, as bunker not needed – he is best in his role, but this role dead now).
“On swap” sigils least passive.
All sigils mostly unpredictable, except true passive sigils like Force. But this sigils you just can’t see anyway. And weapon swap can be predicted way more than procs air/fire.
Balanced very well. Maybe only sigil of battle close to OP, but problem not with sigil – runes with +30-45% to duration and celestial stats make this sigil so strong.
i disagree that glass warrior takes more skill.
except if you mean it has more weaknesses.
by that logic, it also takes more skill to play with no offhand weapon.

In my view builds with highest skillcap – shatter mesmer and s/f ele. Maybe also terrormancer, but skill floor for him lower.
Glass canon warrior takes more skill. Even guard and powernecro. It’s another universe? Maybe in his little world mesmers have Feline Grace, dodge blind spam and take 3 phantasms when dodge? Oh yeah, i forgot – spams invulnerability. F4 with 10 sec CD.
Yeah, as say Darnis, mesmer don’t have ability to burst heal. This 400 healing power quite to useless.
Maybe standart 44006 better? Even cele. +200 power, 20% condi duration, boon removal – it’s huge bonus. Might can be stacked only with runes, sigil of battle (or strength), mirror blade and staff AA. I try this, 12-15 stacks permanent. Maximum what i see – 22, average – 15-18.
Another question – role of this build. It’s very powerful duelist spec, you can stomp every class, even celele and celengi (with boon removal especially), with this armor and hp – easy kill thief. But mesmer – bad bruiser, bad point holder. We dont have much cleanses (see celele, shoutbow), condispam not so strong as celengi and we sacrfice our main strength – huge instant AoE burst and killing speed.
It’s only my view, bro, this build obviously very powerful.
Or remove soloq entirely, because like you said, we can’t carry. It’s a teamgame. :p
Might have been better if it was like this initially, without soloq. Would have made the game healthier team-wise. Now we’re spoiled because of soloq and there is no turning back.(Before you rip my head off: I’m in favor of a quality soloq experience).
Nope, game must provide solo favor. This game never say “get team, guild, 100 mans clan or GTFO”. For adult man with job and family have permanent team maybe very hard. And current state kill fun for this people. Not each man want premade, team or have friends in MMO.
I drop ranked because this leaderboard just grind.
I dont want drop all arenas because premade win me with 500-50 score. It’s occurs infrequently, but after 3-5-10 cool and fun matches (with lose ofc) this make me cry at heart. 4v5 hotjoins more fun than this.
We need soloQ back.
This game not Dota2 or other MOBA, we can’t farm 40 min and then win game solo, just because you carry. In GW2 sPvP premade have HUGE advantage, even 2-3 dudes in a party can roflstomp soloers from other team. Even if other team also have this 2-3 man party. And other party is just random people from HotM, who make premade just because “oh, we are dragons, we cool”. No voice, no communication. And vs this friends in TS.
Practice, Ranked and Unranked soloQ, Ranked and Unranked teamQ – it’s not so hard, but we want it. We need it.

In my view Elsticity always better with staff (especially with last up), but with s/t it seems to be debatable. Mesmer is the master of low hp miracles. Ok, it’s choose to your liking, but I’m a little surprised that Helseth play with Invigoration some time.
Another question: choose second weapon vs thiefs. I could see both points of view. Like Witcher (s/t vs thiefs) and other, “thiefs is the reason why all play with staff”. What you think?

After a pause and play other profs, I want back in pvp as mesmer(shatter). I play mesmer around 500 matches before (soloQ & HJ, different builds, but 44006 most time) and have some exp with it. And even after this matches i have questions.
1. Mainly, I can’t decide – s/t or staff? Why staff preferable in meta now? What build more effective? In defensive options s/t look not bad – evade, invis. Sword have better chances to land good f1 and have nice power damage. Or condi from staff cover it? What weaponset gives more options?
2. If s/t – Halting Strike or Mental Torment?
3. Illusionary Elasticity always better than Illusionary Invigoration? Just 2xShatters look very impressive, but people take Elasticity even with GS + S/T, for 1 skill.

It’s not bunker in the old sense, but very effective point holder.
And yes, you really need weapons for pvp, but stats does not matter – it’s may be “white” crap (just with cool skin).

Warrior 4/2/6/0/4 or 4/2/4/0/6 celestial mace/sword bow. Confusion, torment, burn, poison and long bleeds (+crit proc) + very solid direct damage, crit chance, ferocity and sustain.
If we are talking only about the mechanical intensity – d/d Ele(always press buttons for SoR maximization) or nade engi(just no auto 111111111). All other “hard specs” (shatter, thief, etc.) more about skill than buttons.
D/D Ele 0/2/2/6/6. One aura = 3 boons. Boons for the Boon God!
Spending adrenaline at miss – very good nerf. It’s corretly. But adrenaline decay – it’s not nerf, it’s just uncomfortable play.
Phase Retreat
Maybe, try to play a few matches as mesmer? 50-100, even hotjoin. For me it worked, you have to understand mesmer mind to beat him.

Please, tell about heal skill. Why Ether Renewal? I think AB may be not bad (with 2 water fields) or signet (yep, casting staff ele not so fast as dd, but hps will be better). Just Ether Renewal like a big billboard “Interupt me!” (in my opinion).
