I played the original Guild Wars, a lot. And my main was an Ascalonian warrior who made her name cutting down Charr. So, when GW2 rolled around, I was pretty adamant that I WOULD NOT play a Charr.
But then I read Ghosts of Ascalon and Edge of Destiny. Then when Beta rolled around I thought, “Meh, it’s a throw-away char, might as well make it a Charr”. And then Reeva happened, and Alexis and Soure, Isola and Braugit, and then the Crush cubs, Sepha Blackblood, Ipos Hookgill…
So yeah, I frakkin love my Charr Warrior, Yarza Steelfang!
I would love to have this as well.
So, a year ago in the end of April, those of us who had per-ordered were treated to “The Great Critter Hunt”. I had a ton of fun with it, and I think most players would love the chance to do it again, or for the first time.
It could be a yearly event, one where every server could compete to wrack up the most points. I think this would be awesome, because it would get a lot of folk who aren’t into WvW to still compete in a Server v Server event.
Also, it goes without saying, that a yearly Hunger Royal would be awesome too.
I just really wish there was a way to EARN more cogs. I mean, I hate to just throw away some of the frames, ya know?
I prefer /surprised
Oh, I don’t do WvW, it’s boring, to me anyway. I stick to PvE.
Re: “The norn sent 9”
This is the plot of Guild Wars: Eye of the North. You can see the entire story for yourself by either purchasing the game and playing through it (highly recommended, GW1 is a lot of fun) or by finding a “Let’s Play” youtube series.
From “Eye of the North” –
Jora: “The Norn are ready as well!”
Ogden Stonehealer: “There are…five of you?”
Jora: “I thought four would be enough. Olaf’s daughter insisted she come along.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “I will NEVER understand the Norn.”
Her ears…
Also, Luqq and Zoijja goin’ round and kicking bookah butt – good times!
9/10 Very nice! And, more importantly, very Norn!
Mine is Sigurdis Mooneyes – She is Ranger from Snow Leopard lodge. I figured since Snow Leopard favors independence that she would take her own name instead of ’X’dottir or something. Also, Sigurdis means “Victorious Women”, but her non-Norn friends just call her Sig for short. Her pets are Ronja the snow leopard, Tyto the snow owl and Sawtooth the shark.
I prefer Warband Support over my other Warrior Elites actually. I just wish that, ya know, it was my warband…Maybe the should call it Legion Support? Or, Reinforcements?
7/10 I like it. Good strong first name, but lacks a ’band name…
My Female Blood Legion Warrior is named Yarza Steelfang.
I was bummed when I couldn’t get an epic rack of horns like male Charr, so I decide that she would have good fangs, but a complex about her smaller-than-average-even-for-a-female horns. And, or course, Reeva would tease her about it.
7/10 Pretty good, but I, personally, prefer surnames.
My Noble Female Mesmer is named Myrin Crowneguarde.
I think you mean “Fix Noll EVERYWHERE”
I’m kinda on the fence with Fractels. On one hand, some of them – like Snowblide and Urban Warfare – I think are really neat. However…why am I doing this? I know why I went into Citadel of Flames, it was to get Rytlock and Logan to kiss and make up. And I went to Sorrow Embrace to help Zoijja with that dastardly Kudu. But what am I doing here? Couldn’t you get someone else to do this?
They know that Gods exist, but they see no reason to worship them. I don’t really think we have a term for that.
Maybe this is just me, but I kinda see my Charr as poly-amorous. But, then again, maybe that’s just me over-romanticizing the bonds of bandmates.
In my head, my female human mesmer is the descendant of my Ascaloian female warrior and Talhkora.
Uhhh… You sure Koss wasn’t just hiding in the closet somewhere?
>.>
<.<
Nope. It’s a land of magic and wonder. Plus, after all I’ve done, I’m pretty sure the gods owe me AT LEAST this.
(Also, spoiler alert, that mesmer is going to wind-up with my female Norn ranger :p)
This is really quite a shame. I wanted my (Human female) Mesmer to wear it. I know that this was a common occurrences back in GW1, but I had hoped that times would have changed…
All well. Free item, beggars and choosers and all that I guess….
I really wish we could ‘equip’ minis. Like, either an alternate Toy slot for Town Clothes or an Equipment slot for Armor.
I kinda wish we could ‘equip’ a mini with our town clothes…
I totally support this! A Costume NPC in my Home Instance would make me waaaay more likely to buy a costume from the Gem store. Ya know, in case I want a future character to wear it…
“PREPARE-TO-DON-THE-BEHIND-HAT!”
Silly, that’s not how you spell Reeva…

In my head, my female human mesmer is the descendant of my Ascaloian female warrior and Talhkora. Would it be awesome if that was in the game somehow? Oh yeah! However, the fact that I know it is good enough for now.
Do these count towards the title? I would generally think they would, but the fact that you can buy them from the gem store makes me wonder…
Hey all,
One thing that really bugs me is that when I switch out a Pet from active to reserve, it loses it’s name. I’m sure plenty of you guys have seen countless Rangers running around with “Juvenile X”s.
Would it be possible to change things so that Pets always keep their names, whether they are active or in the reserve?
