Pretty much. If they quadrupled the size of their living world staff, it’s because there’s high participation in living world stuff. Personally I couldn’t give a kitten when people cry over pve or wvw, but both those areas have higher participation than pvp, so I accept that they’ll get more attention. Hell I don’t even give a kitten about 99% of the pvp whines, so whatever I guess.

It says they’ve gone from one team to four, not that they’ve quadrupled the size of the living world staff. It could be four teams of twenty-five instead of one team of one hundred for example.

They just need to make a 15v15 GvG type arena for the mists so that large guilds can do their thing all day and have an official leaderboard.

Anet give them a GvG Gladiators’ arena (up to 20 players each side with arena tokens for $) that we can WvW in peace, and a leaderboard and official results from this arena to rank these guilds that need to compares theirs sticks. tyvm

Already I BOUGHT THE BACKPACK SKIN (Rox arrow cart) FOR MY INFUSED AR BACKPACK (Koss on Koss infused) FOR THE SKIN and it lost its +5 AR upgrade so I am wondering if we shall keep getting stolen and says nothing. Great video of RE and TW trying to wipe us at the same time. We utilized the bridge as a choke with the numbers they had on us. The fun part was positioning RE and TW between each other during the fights. Was a hot of a time.

Have to cut their video short as they got farmed on every single engagement they attempted. I found it surprising that they were willing to put up footage in the first place!

Hope you’re having fun talking among your own guild members on the forums. I know you’re trying to put on a little show for everyone, but really, you’re not making any progress. Zerg the forums more. Always have something to defend, huh? As for the video, do those not count as engagements? gg

You keep saying you only had 15, but your other members who weren’t in the 15 for the GvG (they were standing by) joined you in the fight. All someone has to do is open the video to see how many numbers you had on the bridge. Numbers that BT so nicely dealt with.

I’m not in TW and was there watching the fight, the bottom line is aside from the 3 min video BT got ran off or rolled out every single fight. Literally every single fight they either ran into a tower, or were crushed so bad the rest had to run.

Good on them though, that 3 min video is probably the biggest accomplishment in their existence, so here’s to BT!!!

Now if they were only as good at fighting as they are at talking and running they might have something… unfortunately though…

I have to agree with this actually, attempting to wipe a GvG and and instead being farmed for it is quite a morale crusher. Hopefully this does not affect BT’s blob turnouts for the future.

skill lag result of the calculation time required for the server to deal the DoT specially and that’s why also the aoe is limited to 5 people. Unless the calculation of aoe (damages and buffs) is dealt by another specifically calculation-based tasked designed sub-server than the main one this issue will hardly be fix with the engine limitation on use on this game. It requires only to invest $ to improve the game itself in very large scale battles. Will Anet do it? No clue.

I seem to be missing the “quote” widget so I’ll make this a standalone.

The problem SoR faces vs BG as far as ppt goes it that of mismatched primetimes. The bulk of BG’s players are online when most of SoR’s are not. I’m don’t know why there isn’t a separate Asian group of servers like there is a separate group of EU servers. At least their primetimes kinda match up instead of being completely out of whack. I can only assume that there aren’t enough Asian players to form their own group so they have to go somewhere.

The idea of points being scored proportional to the number of opponents faced attempts to address the inequities that the mismatched primetimes introduces.

If you’re gonna say “It’s a 24/7 game, live with it”, answer me this: Why aren’t the NA and EU servers pitted against each other? Are they grouped separately so that the prime-times align better? I would think so.

There is absolutely no way to set up a perfectly balance encounter on any wvw map: for this you would have to have same classes gears levels numbers (etc…) on every sides and at all times… even spvp is not that restrictive to balance encounters.
WvW is a specific game mode that is not able to be balance in the way you would like to do it; like irl each country has its own powers and weaknesses over the time. Chess game is balance you start each one with same chances even if white always starts. Unfortunately wvw is in no way a fair game for all at all time and it can’t be.
The idea to gather some players regions in some specific servers is segregant. The nice side of wvw is to meet people from all over the world on your own server and work together.
You could either play pve at least you won’t find any imbalance chain killing npc with no real challenge in fact.
And About WvW guild tag : please if anyone refer its own guild as a WvW guild it means you are working on every ways possible to lead your server to victory (so you care of ppt) if not just tag up pve guild and don’t complain of the matchup imbalance. Every guilds mentionning “looking for field fights” with no real goal on the server ppt objective from the wvw spirit is just doing it all wrong. In my opinion GvG Guilds are also hurting a lot their own server not going for the real WvW spirit.

Much respect to TC and SoR for this match, I think BG won that one already, might see you at next reset then.

BG has a lot of korean guilds, and they do play when us, the NA timers goes to bed and working. I think their active numbers are ND(300+), CA(200+), WM(around 100) and
also there are couple of 20~50 member guilds.
And yes, don’t forget about 9D, THAI, URGE and XF and plus other sea time guilds.

Even the thought of ‘turning off’ a feature in a game because it doesn’t suit a certain time zone is not even worth a discussion. People work random hours all over the globe why would Dev punish someone because they don’t fall into the ‘normal’ server time zone?

Anet could solve the point differential made by overwhelming SEA numbers is to just turn of the PPT during the overnight hours. Or at least the overnight hours native to that area. Basically when people should generally be sleeping, the points don’t tick..

The intent of you post seems honest so I think it deserves an honest response.

The fact is, this game is available to be purchased and played by just about anyone in the world, and because of this, Anet cannot lock out content to the prime play times of one specific region. When a player in North America is usually sleeping, a player in Australia just got home from work, ate dinner, and is ready for some WvW. Not to mention there are people who may work a grave shift, and play during work/school hours for many.

I don’t mean the content is being locked out, it means everything remains the same. Players can do whatever they want, cap everything, siege everything all to high kitten. Fight small groups, zergs, get loot bags, karma, gold, etc.. The only difference, that ticker on the top of the screen reads “0”. That’s the only change.

I would presume, or at least I’d hope those who are in T1 (and who transferred here) are here for the fights, not the PPT. If they’re here for the PPT, they are probably in the wrong Tier. Many other tiers that can be transferred to, to rack up the PPT if they so choose. From what I understand, the general consensus was those who are here, are here for the fights because there are lots of them. If this is the case, then most should not be against shutting down the tick during off hours.

The idea has been kicked around 2-3 weeks ago and did have overwhelming support. Perhaps in the past it didn’t, but now (from what I’ve seen), it does.

Personally, I could care less either way. I don’t measure success or fun by how fast our zerg can run back to a base to defend it, or how our numbers overwhelm the opposition or vice versa during off hours. I measure it by even numbers attack and defending while I’m in the fray lol.

Sea players had no place to go when the game launched but EU players did but you just want to lock out sea for some reason.Also in Na people work around the clock on different shifts so why should their playtime be less valuable than others.

There really isnt nothing anet can do with how screwed up wvw is right now so i wish they would just put in 20v20 battlegrounds already and i would never step foot in wvw again.

Their play time wouldn’t be less valuable than others. I’d say capturing whatever you can, upgrading it, and filling it full of siege for the next group is a lot more valuable than you think.

Before the prime timers log, they try and leave the SEA crowd something to work with, so they can concentrate on offense. Vice versa, the SEA crowd should be leaving as much as they can for the next group to come on.

The PPT is basically a by-product of whats going on and doesn’t need to be ticking during the off hours. It’s not a measure of skill nor a reflection of a servers capability to have large amounts of people playing from different time zones.

People need to ask themselves these 2 things:

1) If Anet does decide to shut off PPT during the off hours, what are the SEA people going to do who have the capability to play during a time slot where it ticks? Do they swap severs? Could this be a possible answer to server population mismatches? For Anet, the quickest and easiest solution to many blowout matches is to just turn off the PPT during off hours.

2) How exactly would T1 look if the PPT was shut off during off hours? On reset night, it was pretty much dead even up until people started logging off. It was close, it was fun (minus the skill lag of course). I can’t speak for others, but I think people have more fun in close matches than they do during the extreme blow out matches that we see.

There is lots of chest thumping going on in this thread (which is fine), but there isn’t much to chest thump about unless your talking about even numbers at all times. This is especially true in cases where those who are outnumbered, still continue to beat the larger zergs.

Well why looking for a solution where there are no issue only your irl stuff. It’s fine anyone can play anytime it doesnt bother me and i like to be able to play also anytime. Your suggestion is just not possible.

A WvW guild can call itself like that because they contribute for their server to fight for ppt in wvw. If you don’t then change your spelling.
A GvG guild means what it means also like a Pve guild, a Bank Guild, a Fotm Guild etc…

[IRON] are you a WvW guild ? SoR will be so sad to see you leave soon as you are secretly planning to transfer after getting wiped so hard. I find it sad because [IRON] was claiming having 600+ people queuing 2maps at once and being a wvw guild that can bring hard times… Where are you now? What an excuse about a practice week when we see full force zerg in EB, well we definitely have to admit you need some heavy trainings and one week will never be enough believe me. Your zerg keep fading away after 2 or 3 wipes in a row thats the real issue at least fresh blood keep coming and try hard.

Last week I was in SoR and many people already knew about these 2 guilds jumping from JQ to SoR. As I knew it and JQ cant be any longer a threat to BG nor SoR I just went back to BG.

What was not an issue for JQ players yesterday when they were T1 king server seems to be an issue now that they are in a worse position… Pity you never proposed your opponents in these old times any balance nor change, no? I wans’t in any t1 server in these times but it was not very kind from you to be so selfish so long^^.
I believe any of your old opponents will tell you to deal with it or move away like they did..
For a good balance then : after all your long weeks of easy wins you must have at least as many weeks of heavy losses and everyone will be happy

Anet the skill lag is REALLY an issue when you have stacks of conditions and you cant launch your cleanse nor heal : you are just standing until down states !!!! Give signet with passive cleanse if you cant fix skill lag.

After spending one month in SoR server to help beating JQ, I could see the new matchup with DB instead of JQ. I am more than happy that I transfered back to BG at reset. And I found a good guild of harcore players like me : Center of Attention [CA].
Was a blast farming [IRON] bags in EB last 12hours. I heard that your commander was screaming in TS to focus us (but never worked^^) I am recording nice videos and I ll make a best of ^^. About [KISS] … same happened to you in EB
When I was in SoR I couldnt find enough good guild for me: well I don’t use TS but I own you all. Well if you are a pseudo harcore wvw guild please use TS and tell me how it helps you when you face me ??? ok ? !

Thanks to Waha that just plunder his own server. Props to BG to have JQ working for them . Overall week great fights. And another great week and much fun. Good job on BG for the win. I am once again happy about this match as JQ is 3rd like always. I love JQ being last whatever is going on.
BG and SoR are both on higher level we need a 3rd server that is worth it, JQ times are over and some guilds are leaving them already, and about RATS its a fake transfered guild it has been formed in JQ to make some kind of misinformation to try to get some transfers ^^. We will keep spying JQ. Well I love wvw and JQ whines.
To explain JQ some things, I have been fighting you in BG server for long and I am doing it in SoR now. BG and SoR have some good friends on both servers to take out JQ from T1. Now you know.
