On my side I decided to reform seriously my guild Omega Warlord[LORD] from ashes Getting our members from CD KN and DB transfering over BG to reform with some new members in our crew – we are gathering 70men already international based and will do our best to serve BG purpose soon. How the virtual table is looking as we approach week 3

Actually, after seeing how SOR fared this week against BG, it can quite conclusively put the matches of BGvsSORvsrandom kitten points for BG and 3 for SOR. Thereby bringing confirmed points as follows:
BG: 25
JQ: 16
SOR: 17

Undecided points as potentially:
BG: 3-5
JQ: 6-10
SOR: 3-5 (likely 3)

The undecided matches being those of BGvsJQvsrandom and SORvsJQvsrandom.
In week 5, IF BG gets 1st against JQ, the result of week 7 will be a non issue, and BG will walk away with Number One.

We know.
I heard few SoR guilds are going to decide where to transfer over soon and leave T1, is that true?

The amount of bg chest thumping/trolling is staggering this week. Gotta give props to the couple of IRON posters with a solid pvf week.
Side note SoR’s core was forged through months of being outmanned in every timezone minus NA. If u think one loss is gonna demoralize us…….guess again.

It could be that you were demoralized then that you left for sPvP for that finisher. Hmm Hmm.

Pretty much SoR won that week match so I went to spvp yes. Then they did well at the end. Not what happen lately XD.

I would like to say that BG has some of the bests commanders and harcore players from GW2 :
- Sehoon Sword
- Ongm
- Mayoken
- Prince Jarvàn
- RawNoodles
- etc…

About newcomers I don’t know yet. All I know is that BeastGate is gathering most experimented wvw and spvp players atm.
So it’s most likely BG will really win S01 league with no doubt earlier than at week 7.

Warriors are meant to be THE spe class in WAR and team fights.
In order to bring some more builds sustaining system I suggest Anet to give Warrior through the shield class instead of 5second of blocking shield to grant them an extra gray hp pool like necromancer are benifiting actually.

Please comment.

Warriors are meant to be backbones of a team fights as their specialisation is WAR by definition they have to be better in sustaining fights than any other classes.
Anet should grant warriors builds the same extra hp grey pool from necro through the shield spe.

From my post about spvp broken leveling system:

At the moment the spvp leveling is like this :
Each ranks are segmented depending on the title you unlock. The progression is exponential : the total amount of ranking points needed to reach level 80 is :
8.971.500 for 80 levels so its an average of 8971500/80= 112143 ranking point /level
If Anet would have made a linear progression in spvp ranking that would be much better.
So let’s take around 100 000 ranking per level. When running a spvp match you can get around 200 ranking point per match per 15minutes on average time so it means to get a level considering the average value per level it will requires you to play 112143/200= 560 games per level each game duration is 15minutes so a 1/4 hours that means you ll need to achieve 560X1/4= an average of 140hours of game play per level.
The analysis is based on the total average time required if you go all the way to 80 I remember you.
140average hours X80 = 11200 hours of game play
In order to get to level 80 in a year so 365 days you would have to play everyday 30hours in a 24hours day long that is not even possible … 11200 hours is 466 full DAYS
??ANET WTF IS THAT ???? (24/7 plays 466days long in order to achieve it => what a freaking huge joke is that?)
You can compare the pve linear experience progression to the spvp one to see how broken is spvp leveling system.
I ll suggest Anet to change the spvp exponential progression for a linear one and reduce by 50% the average ranking points requirement to level up. 50k ranking per level on a linear progression line to 80 is the best way to fix this broken spvp progression mechanism. By the same way double the ranking points incomes per matchs + a daily reward extra ranking point bonus of 5 000 points or more. Then you have a FIX.
Fixing spvp sick requirements shouldn’t takes ages and is not impossible.
Seeing this analysis I doubt anyone found out about this because this should have been since start the best reason and subject for players to complain about.
My last word will be about this: I really don’t understand how a company can pay some programmers in order to design some game contents (finishers) unlockable after 3years of game play for 1% of the game population: it’s like designing a product that you expect noone to be able to afford it. This has no sense specially for a game. On a trade point of view you are not creating any value nor incomes going this way.
Anet can bring the grind spirit to a new level…… Sick sick sick…
I invite anyone who feel that this game design need to be FIX as soon as possible to post here and comment about the numbers you read.

Anet you need to tone down HARD the spvp leveling requirements and implement a linear progression this is beyond broken. Stop fake fixes that avoid the real long term issue of this game mode progression that I explain up here.

Hello as a wrong playerbase player I would like to ask Anet to post the projection on the graphic that shows exactly if they really did it with purpose and analysis the time that is projected to be needed in order to reach spvp ranks 80 for any casual player that plays like 2hours per day. SERIOUSLY or you are really really bad in calculations OR you just gave us exponential leveling spvp system in order not to have to create/work/implement better system nor release any new content on the long term as a first intend. If you would have implement pve leveling with such exponential leveling system there would be no level 80 players yet… It’s broken system that noone enjoy it’s no fun useless ranking points linked to capture points mechanism that is ridiculously and incredibly not rewarding. Another graph about the game incomes of people focusing only spvp comparing to other game contents would make a huge scandal.
You know very well what I am talking about and It’s really lame…
I did give a try on spvp for 3 weeks in order to reach lvl40 tiger rank. If I would be on this game mode earlier in game history I would already be asking about Fixing this beyond broken game spvp leveling mechanism. I don’t get it that noone ever scream about it, seriously this content need to be rework and balance (class balance is one thing but here I talk about balancing the time spent playing / leveling => Exponential is time consuming with no significants rewards and can’t be fun for anyone)
So Anet policy : play every content like you enjoy but in WvW we give 10k wxp rankings linked to each character. Finishers plays spvp like 2years long leveling 8H/day. People who release such stuffs need to check this : http://www.iqtest.com/

To clarify – KISS as a guild are no longer on SoR. There may be a few ex-KISS running around in IRON and elsewhere but due to a number of reasons the guild had some issues and went back to EU. KISS moving to SoR came out of the blue to most members and to SoR itself, we were neither invited or paid to transfer and we moved for the fights and being one of the few guilds left on an EU server that hadn’t already moved elsewhere.

As for SoR – I see people asking where we have gone and what has happened. We are still here, still fighting, still kicking kitten and having a lot of fun. The vast majority of us are not giving a kitten about the PPT and are just having fun. Some of the fair weather casuals or AP seekers may have moved back to PvE, GTAV or whatever but for our core it is business as usual. And that means queues are down, so good for everyone.

Anyone not familiar with T1 NA would think reading this forum it is all about animosity instead of fights and fun. Why any guild would think of transferring here on reading them amazes me.

The issue with SoR as a server is that you really have to share this point of view of the “top SoR (WvW?) Guilds” “open field fights – don’t care of winning” spirit because if you don’t you ll find very frustrating playing with people who clearly stating not playing to win and then you will leave SoR like many have done before. Don’t expect them to hold/defend do anything with any evolved tactic or strategy they are more like no-brainers repeating “OpenFieldsFights, OpenFieldsFights, OpenfieldsFights…” and well they also just hide whenever they get spank… They seek to have openfieldfights against pugs XD Then they feel the POWER

Well I had fun 3weeks in spvp reaching R40 tiger finisher but there is NO WAY I would go on to try to get phoenix or dragon it’s completely sick requirements. SICK. I am done with spvp until they increase greatly the ranks points or decrease the requirements to go to level 80 (AND furthermore for all the time I wasted in spvp I gained like almost no gold at all). Going back to wvw, spvp is beyond broken.

By the time you ll be back I will still not have unlock the dragon finisher anyway… these sick requirements and poor rank points is beyond stupid I would have to play ONLY spvp 24/7 a year long 8hours a day to get that finisher to be able to use it finally in WvW…
So I stopped at tiger’s reaching rank 40 in 21 days and went back to WvW season 1. Once again Anet please see that phoenix and dragon finishers are way too out of range for 99% of players – I could go for it but I dont enjoy hunting capture points for hundred thousand matches. FIX this is BROKEN to unlock these finishers.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANET Seriously want one of these 2 finishers like many people. You haven’t designed them that it will never be used in game right ? So time to give them to the wvw winning servers in each league at the end of season #1.

I was doing rank 40 to get tiger finisher in spvp last 2weeks XD Seeing how crazy requirement is needed to get phoenix and dragon finishers I decided to get only Tiger’s one and it makes me think that we should have some WvW specific finishers unlockable depending on our WvW ranks or a finisher wxp line unlocking finishers would do it as well also.

this is a Spvp or WvW build. its very similar to the sword/sword longbow build except it has a lot more support options. actually this build is superior to sword/sword longbow in spvp in nearly every way

one of this best things about this build is it contains the possibility of protection up time. in WvW yesterday i fought a greatsword/mace warrior, longbow ranger and guardian at once and was winning because they kept on spamming vulnerability at me letting me turn it into protection.

(if you think warrior is over powered right now, warrior is really over powered when it has access to protection.)

also unlike a 4 signet sword/sword longbow warrior this build is a lot more group orientated. so you aren’t only removing conditions from yourself, but your allies as well. (and warbanner for clutch revives)

You shouldnt explain people how to make godbuild warrior… It takes long to find out how to play and set it up. Most people are new to warrior they have to step their way and find themself what is the godlike build XD and how it works…
Sad part is that it’s a very efficient build that was used even before the signet of healing buff by most experimented warriors. Now because everyone runs that signet in any build AND because people have NO IDEA about game mechanisms in close combat fights and how other powers can affect and have more impact of the efficiency of the healing signet many are complaining without having any clue how and why and what happen really : lack of knowledge of “sustain optimisation set up in close combat fights”. Just don’t give anymore hint they are too young to understand XD.
Hint : Anet moved +150 empowered allies to tier 2 because of the need to nerf that specific build…

About conditions builds; they are powerful for any class and are efficient for warrior set up.

In Spvp match everyone hates to be taken to balance other team because of quitters that cant even fight to the end of the match. To award this behaviour I suggest Anet to implement a special Quitters award of – 500 ranks points whenever a player is leaving a match. It should be an incentive for them not to leave and this is the only good one.

Before signet upgrade I was running it with mango pie in WvW to have about the same efficient that now: without this the passive regen is not enough to sustain fights what warriors are said to be about. Like I said regen itself means nothing BUT with dodge blocks blinds positions etc : each seconds you are avoiding getting hit you benefit regen then it’s efficient… Signet alone is nothing really. the overall heal points you gain via regen is about the same as the raw healing under fury level 3 so… nothing OP…
Btw I had an ele spe water scepter dagger that Anet nerfed the regen and really that was really what I call OP even with ele water regen nerf you still can have perma regen with lower hp/sec and last very long…
As you said CC warrior builds benefits efficient regen not because of the regen/sec value but because of the stuns durations and spams. if ennemy cant hit you in some timeframe you benefit regen while he s stun… Issue is more about CC.

There are no issue with healing warrior signet.
The only issue is skilled players (these who knows how to mitigate incoming damages each seconds and placements/reactions etc…).
Signet alone is not anyhow powerful, but in the right hands with the right build it’s very efficient.
I play warrior since start and I was running regen based build long before the signet upgrade. Now the base regen of warrior is balance and make it worth it in completing your other damages mitigations tools and powers.
I spvp since 14 days and I am rank 37 already… I was only doing WvW so far then i went for spvp but ranks are all about capturing stuffs it has nothing to do with skilled pvp players it’s a l2p issue.

It would not change anything about the cleanse it will just add a counter stats to mitigate the condition damages per seconds with vitality. It would allow you to mitigate the conditions damages and sustain it longer before cleansing it or not depending on situation. That would also go in the balance way to make more different builds viable in this metagame.

Yes but you should either be able to choose to mitigate them with vitality as counter stat or cleanse them depending on the build in my opinion, that would add more build possibilities. This is also not nerfing condition damages but balancing them in a cleaver way.

Here I give you the hint dear dev to balance the condition metagame that everyone complain about in spvp and wvw. Because conditions damages are not dealing with any kind of counter stats, here what should be done to tone down condition damages.
Add a parameter in the DoT calculation equation that target is having per 20 vitality = -1 condition damage per second received from any kind of conditions source.
It’s common sense that it should have been done with this patch but it seems Anet that you need a little help about the game balance XD.
My personnal experience is that I HAVE to run condition cleanse spe warrior build to avoid the condition bombing that is the “I win button” atm, it’s completely broken, necro can condition bomb and insta kill anyone not running a condition cleanse build : funny thing is even with a counter set up sometime it’s not even enough to sustain and counter these condition bombing necros XD.

Those against GvG wouldn’t like it because the GvG’ers would do considerably less “normal” wvw (bashing head against a door)

No WvW players support a dedicated place for GvG to be in peace finally.

What the people in WvW do is none of your concern. If there are 20 people on your server that want to do a GvG, there are also 20 people on another server that want to do them. So the numbers are even. And if you are so concerned about losing because of those 20 people fighting a private match for 30-60 minutes and not capping stuff, then your community should seriously consider forming more WvW-based guilds.

As for your comment about not interfering – it’s about respect. Of course you can jump right in the middle of a GvG fight, the game won’t hinder you and the devs won’t ban you if you do. But considering there is no official GvG mode in Guild Wars 2 (the irony) and guilds may only play that mode in WvW, show some respect and consideration and do not interfere. After all, guilds doing GvGs get better by doing them and they can see whether they’re on the right track. The data they get from wiping in WvW is insufficient because you can’t tell whether they’re fighting bigger groups or smaller groups, organized or disorganized, level 80 with proper gear or without.

So stop complaining, go play WvW like you want to play it and let others play it like they want.

Don’t interfer in GvG match that interfer in WvW match XD Intelligent people.
So you basicly ask others to do what you can’t do….

Hi All,

I wanted to comment about the incident that happened recently in-game, surrounding some negative community interaction from a member of the ArenaNet staff.

Simply put a big mistake was made by one of our employees, for which he is both very upset and sorry. He allowed his personal feelings to affect his interactions in-game whilst representing ArenaNet, and this is absolutely unacceptable.

Like all players, we are human, and all have our opinions on the game. However these opinions should never disrupt other player’s enjoyment of the things they love. On top of this we have worked very hard to create a community that is respectful to one another, and for this behavior to have occurred while a developer is representing ArenaNet is doubly saddening.

We all cherish the opportunity to play with the community, and we absolutely rely on you all for in game feedback, and personally I hope that this incident does not hamper what has so far been an amazing relationship and opportunity for us all.

I would therefore like to sincerely apologize for this behavior on behalf of our staff member. We are taking steps to address the incident and for his part, he is very sorry for behaving in the manner in which he did.

Regarding Guild game play, please understand it is extremely important to us, and an area we are paying a great deal of attention to, so please do be patient with the developers who work tirelessly on making WvW the very best it can be, they have a great deal of respect for you all, and value your collaboration in pushing this pioneering mode forward. Also please note this member of staff is not on the WvW team.

Finally, World vs. World is a free-for-all battle. Our expectation of staff is that they should be playing, and enjoying the game like everyone else, and not being disruptive or disrespectful to others.

And in this spirit I hope we can move forward, and continue, what has up to this point, been a great community/developer relationship. One that I know our team massively values and loves.
