Wrong, endgame doesn’t start at 100% map completion, i couldn’t give less kitten about “exploration”, right now there are 4 endgame activities in GW2:
- dungeons – random difficulty without sense, no dungeon finder, kitteny looking items
- spvp – very monotonous
- WvW – no fun at all because of the nightcapping
- crafting – endless farming
But i have to agree with the OP, it was the best game i played in years, the way to 80 was great but now that i’m there it’s more boring then playing tetris. I realy hope they manage to turn the endgame content to something that actualy makes fun.
There will never be equal servers, at night its not 150v150v150, its 25v10v7, the 25 can take 100% of the map, simple as that.
I understand the australians but right now WvW is a joke and deffinatly not fun, there need to be restrictions for WvW based on the numbers the lowest server has, you aussies/asians should therefore get your own servers.
Night-capping will never be fair when the only factor that determines if a faction can control 100% of the map is “numbers”, as long as their is no balance to the balance around the hour more and more people will don’t care about this pointless pvp, when GW2 was released it was constantly under the top3 streamed games, now it is not even under the top10 beeing even beaten by pandaland.
I haven’t logged in for days now because of the broken WvW, that’s what got me interested in GW2 and it’s realy sad how the developers don’t give kitten about what’s happening in WvW and don’t seem to indend to implent any form of restrictions to playernumbers based on the numbers the other 2 servers can field.
Every one of the heavy armor dungeon sets looks ugly, i don’t know if this is also true for light/medium armor but heavy armor sets need a redesign. So i’m not dooing dungeons because there are no rewarding items waiting at the end of the farm, if you already want people to only care about the visual styles of items at lvl80 and not the stats then please make the style worth it.
I realy don’t know who should find those armor-sets good looking, the 8-12 year olds?
The game is 2 weeks out, why not play the game and explore until you have done all and then sit around the table and talk again?
“Explore” is not content many people care about, we want progress, rewarding gameplay, balanced pvp/WvW,…
Amen to that, if they implement a dungeon finder and make dungeons actualy fun to play/rewarding then people would do them.
I realy hoped that this game would offer enough content to keep me interested for years like wow did some years ago, fanboys gonna hate but i’m sadly begining to realize that Pandaland will be the mmo to hang out in for another couple of years :/ GW2 was deffinetly worth the money, leveling was fun but i don’t wanna repeat that or do pseudo endgame content like “exploration” or “farm kitteny looking armorsets”, WvW had great potential but anet was unfortunatly delusional when creating it, which resulted in hour-long queues at prime-time, nightcapping and not enough rewards for dooing WvW, all 3 things resulting in frustation playing the game.

…Dungeon finder would help form groups but what about motivating players to do them? Do you feel the current loot/coin drops are motivation enough?
No, they would also need to redesign the armor sets and weapons, right now none of the dungeon sets and weapons beats the style of my leveling gear so there is no motivation to get them. I already have a full epic set which i transformed back to the style of leveling equip to make it look decent, so stats aren’t a motivating factor.

If they would do that people would have something to do untill they release new content but right now WvW is frustating and creating a dungeon group takes an imense amount of time like back in 2004.
This is a mmo, stop saying “give it time”, a mmo has enough content to keep players interested and keep up with the concurrence or it has it not and fails and GW2 in it’s current state has very broken endgame content.

GW2 is a good game, i don’t doubt that, however there are major problems concerning endgame-content. Endgame content is there, so i’m not asking for more, just to fix the stuff that is already there.
Dungeons are a pure lottery, there are some that can be done blind and others where you have to chainrezz people 20 times in a row to clear the trash, i’m sure that anet will fix the difficulty of the dungeons to the same level. Choosing which dungeon to play should be based on preference and not on difficulty while they reward items of the same level.
Now the real problem with endgame-content: WvW, as long as the number of players isn’t limited based on the number of players in WvW of the smallest of the 3 servers, WvW is a joke, I and many more are simply ignoring it now because of the nightcaping. It would be something completly different if a server would loose because of bad tactics, bad players but right now the only thing that determines a loose is the number of players between 1 and 11 am. This thing leads to frustation, i can’t imagine anybody playing a game that is frustating in the long term. Now the biggest problem with that whole thing is the ignorance of anet, acording to them WvW is a 24h battlefield where we players have to make sure that we have full WvW battlegrounds around the hour, how the kitten are we to do that?
Shall we write letters to the government of mongolia or papua newguinea and ask them to promote GW2 so that our server can field a strong number of players in WvW around the hour?
I agree, especialy the lvl 80 armorsets can’t be more ugly, there is not one worth the farming, even the style of the starting equip beats them.
Now here is the problem, i am a guild leader and wanted to promote several people to a higher rank, i missclicked and now half the guild has the rank of guildmaster, there is no way to demote them back unless asking 35 people to demote themselfes back individualy.
So why the kitten can several people have the rank of guildmaster?
The problem isn’t the difficulty but the randomness of the difficulty, so anet needs to asap fix the dungeons to the same difficulty level (whatever that may be) or dungeons will just be ignored by people leading to less content for people to enjoy > less players in GW2.
Please don’t add a dungeon finder, searching a group works perfectly fine.
It works but takes time, so why should I search manualy for a group like back in 2004 when dungeon-finders are an established feature of modern mmo’s, i want to play the actual game and not the “spamm chat with searching for members for xxx makro” game.
So i leveled to 80, got myself a complete epic set and am bored now, don’t get me wrong the game is worth the money and the most fun mmo i played since classic WoW back in 2004 but it lacks essential things to take away the “what to do at lvl80?”
I want to do WvW but don’t want to wait hours in a queue, so that’s a big minus.
I want to do explorable dungeons, but don’t want to search an eternity for a party , why is there no dungeon-finder?
I was never a fan of small-scale pvp so spvp doesn’t interest me a bit.
I was never a fan of leveling alts or professions, so that’s not content for me.
So please add a dungeon-finder to the game and either raise the number of players in WvW or add new bg’s to the existing 4 for WvW, just my 2 cents
The Piken legacy are recruiting players mainly for w vs w but we also intend to do dungeons, de’s and other stuff
