You guys rock, have a bump! Go ET!
Hi there! You might be interested in our little family, Druids of Dhuum [DoD]. We’re relatively small, with ~20 members, super friendly and goofy, and we even have female players (myself included). We don’t require any representation at all, but we are located on Eredon Terrace. We definitely accept cross-server members, especially since it sounds like you’re mostly interested in PvE stuff. We love running dungeons and doing world events. You can PM me or Turkadactyl.5308 in game sometime or check out our website at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com for more information!
Hi there! There isn’t a couples system that I’m aware of. I’ve played with my boyfriend since launch, and we’re perfectly content just to party up together. Our favorite thing to do is run dungeons just the two of us. Personally, I’m glad there isn’t a marriage system, because we have a lot of different characters that we play at different times, and I think a marriage system would just be weird for us. That being said, there is a married couple in our guild that gave their characters matching last names, which to me indicates pretty strongly that they’re married, so I suppose you could always do that!
As far as patch info, I’m not aware of anything like that either. Usually I just let it patch while I do something else. They don’t usually take very long, I’ve found.
Welcome to Tyria! I hope you two enjoy your time in game, it really is the most fun game my boyfriend and I have found to play together.
Bump for Nob! Love these guys!

Ticklebutts, you sound like a great fit for the Druids of Dhuum [DoD]. We’re based on Eredon Terrace, our #1 priority is having fun, and we’re super friendly. Our website is at druidsofdhuum.enjin.com, if you want to check it out, and we also help fund server transfers if you’re interested in chilling with us goofballs. Our guild desperately needs someone named Ticklebutts, so check us out and send me a message in game if you’re interested!
Hello! Druids of Dhuum [DoD] might be a good fit for you. We have new and veteran players, and are always learning from each other. Our #1 focus is having fun! That being said, we do run world bosses pretty regularly, especially Tequatl. We don’t have a large enough force that we can do these events on our own, but we have many experienced players that would be happy to show you the ins and outs of the fight. Visit our website druidsofdhuum.enjin.com or message me in game for more information! You’re also welcome to run with us even if you don’t join our guild. Hope to see you around!
Hi there! Druids of Dhuum [DoD] may be the guild for you! We are very casual and fun (fun is our number 1 goal!), and we are friendly to new players and veterans alike. We do a lot of PvE and WvW (we are based on the Eredon Terrace server), and we are always happy to teach people new events, new classes, dungeons, anything! We try our best to be helpful and fun. Our website is located at druidsofdhuum.enjin.com if you’d like to learn more, or you can message me in game. Hope to see you around!
Hi, Caerwyrn! Druids of Dhuum [DoD] based on the Eredon Terrace server might be a good fit for you! We are very casual and friendly. Our #1 focus is having fun, and we enjoy helping people with anything they might be interested in! In fact, many of our members are new players, so we all help each other as we go! We are a PvE/WvW guild, and we can also help fund transfers to our server. We have absolutely no play time or donation requirements (we don’t even require representation!). You can find out more at our website druidsofdhuum.enjin.com, or you can contact me in game. We would love to play with you, even if you don’t end up joining.
Hello! I’m one of the guild leaders of Druids of Dhuum [DoD] based on the Eredon Terrace server. We’re a pretty tight-knit bunch, friendly, and always up to something. Bonus, we’re all pretty literate, but fair warning we are kind of goofy sometimes. We’re not a huge guild, but we are pretty active with a #1 focus on having fun! You can visit our website for more information at druidsofdhuum.enjin.com, or you can contact Trafficone.5301 or Turkadactyl.5308 in game!
Most likely, at some point. It has come back before, as have the other infinite tools.
I have a Sylvari thief and a Sylvari ranger. The ranger is my main, but I love them both. It’s funny, my thief actually has more of a plant-like look than my ranger.

A guild this cool deserves a boost to page one. :P
Basically, we run dungeons, do living story stuff, level alts, and cause trouble for enemy teams in WvW. Sound like your kind of gig? Join us and have some fun!
So much fun! I love this guild.
Also! We’re more than 2 members now, but still fun-loving!

Oh my goodness, I would love this!
Oh. I thought they just thought I was really kitten at combat.
Your enthusiasm is contagious, now I’m excited for Dry Top.
Arthropoda is huge and also a lot bulkier than most of the other longbows.
I would love a mace on my engineer, if for nothing else than to use the Fixer Upper skin. But I think you’re right that it could have really good synergy with turrets.
The final bosses in the Molten Facility dungeon. So much fun!
Are they really only available for a week? I didn’t see an “Only available for 7 days!” on them like some of the other things have, so I assumed it was more like two weeks, but I’m probably wrong.
Are the pets remembering their names also your underwater pets? My reef drake always keeps his name, but that’s because he’s slotted as one of my underwater pets too. Otherwise, there is no name retention when switching pets around that I’m aware of.
Agreed, if you’re willing to spend some time, you can get a ton of achievements from the pavilion easily.
I think it’s a nice thing for new players who didn’t have the chance to get them. And for people like me who missed things due to real life commitments/issues. I was elated to see the Gas Mask back because that was one of the only Living Story rewards I missed, and I deeply regretted it because it looks incredible on one of my characters.
I do understand how you feel, but I really think it’s a good thing. I guess I don’t really mind if I see someone else running around with the same back item as me. My sclerite karka shell is really special to me, but if it works for someone else too, I think that’s great. That’s just my opinion on the matter, though.
I wasn’t able to beat her last time around, but I still like her, because I appreciate hard content that isn’t zerg oriented, and I think we need more of it. I’m so glad she’s back so I can keep trying for that mini!
No problem, pets are definitely not for everyone. Thief is pretty fun to play, good luck!
The pet for the ranger is the class mechanic, as opposed to necromancer minions being skills. The ranger pet will always be there. You can put it on passive or let it die or choose to ignore it, but it will always be there.
One could say the same about greatsword using warriors who make numerous unsuccessful attempts to use hundred blades on me without pinning me down. Every profession has people who know how to play effectively and people who don’t. I try not to let it bother me. An easy kill is an easy kill, and if someone is better than me, I’m likely an easy kill. Doesn’t matter, really.
I haven’t beaten Tequatl yet, but I love this update, and I want more like it. I’m so happy that there’s finally some seriously challenging open world content that takes skill and coordination and not just mindless zerging. If The Shatterer gets a similar update, I would be one happy camper. Please don’t nerf Tequatl!
Yep, just did it myself.
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what the deal is. I completed the achievements to get my mini watchknight a few days ago and I put it in my collectibles. When I logged in today it was missing. What happened to it? Did I miss something? The same thing happened to my boyfriend’s mini.

Reef Drake/River Drake. Carrion Devourer if I need a ranged pet, though I will swap to other pets if the situation calls for it. I run dungeons and open world PvE mostly, and my pets are alive the vast majority of the time.
I have 30 points invested in beastmastery for natural healing, and I almost always run with signet of the wild. Those two things, combined with the drake’s chomp, give my pets excellent survivability. Recalling them (if F3 isn’t working I’ll switch them to passive) to avoid particularly nasty situations is useful, but I don’t often have to do so. Well-timed heals and swapping when necessary come in handy as well.
As long as I’m paying attention, pets are a huge boon to me. When I invest in them, they can take quite a bit of heat and they do a good chunk of damage to boot. I’m happy to have them.
Teamwork is a great thing, agreed. But individual people are playing this game, and different people want different things out of it. For example, I personally am a pretty casual player. I like to run CoE and TA when I have time to play. Sometimes, I have some extra time, and I enjoy helping new players out. Other times, though, I only have an hour to play, and I just want to run a path with people who have done it before so that it goes relatively smoothly. I am incredibly familiar with the two dungeons I run regularly, but there are dungeons I haven’t done. If I’m going to try to do those, my first step is to watch a video or read a guide on it. Then, I will make a post on gw2lfg and state that it is my first time running this particular dungeon. Time is a precious commodity, and I don’t want to waste the time that other people have set aside to have fun with. That’s just common courtesy. It doesn’t take all that much time to familiarize yourself with a dungeon before you start it. The way I see it, the time spent researching is a great investment. That way, you can better utilize advice you get from your party members, and you may not have to ask for help as many times.
Start your own groups if you want a specific experience. Certain things might take longer to find, but you’ll have a more enjoyable run when you do find a group. Joining someone else’s group and expecting them to cater to you is selfish. If you aren’t going to be patient, don’t expect someone else to be.
I play shortbow/longbow on my ranger most of the time. I’m not a PvPer, so I can only speak for open world PVE and dungeons. I like playing with two bows, I like how they both work. I strive to manage my pet (I run with a reef drake and a carrion devourer) effectively to increase my damage output. I like to think I’m pretty effective with dual bows. That being said, I always keep some melee weapons in my inventory, because, especially in dungeons, there are some fights that are just not possible to effectively range. Give bows a shot, but I would recommend having a melee weapon or two in your inventory if you know a particular fight isn’t going to be kind to long range pewpewing (the first boss on the Mursaat path of Arah comes to mind. Not being in melee is a bad idea there.).
That’s a cool idea. My reef drake is twice the size of my little Sylvari ranger as it is, so I think it would be especially cool if they started out smaller and then grew (he certainly doesn’t need to be any bigger than he is now!).
I also love the idea of different coloration as they grow. In several cases, this would be a very realistic development.
And a jumbo spider? Yes, please.
I love my reef drake, he’s a beast. The skill set is awesome, and I agree that they look spectacular (I love running around with him and my mini reef drake). I have a full 30 BM build, and he can handle just about anything. I use him everywhere except in dungeons, where I run two devourers. I don’t care for the bears, and the devourers tend to survive remarkably well. Sometimes I like to use the wolf, fearing is fun.
All in all, I like drakes and devourers, but the reef drake is definitely my favorite.
