The Rescuer – Smoke And Flowers – Nectar Protector – Dhuumwind –
Specter Protector – Pushed Daisies – Imprinted – Die Groundlings
Sounds like a plan! I’m online most evenings and weekends. See you soon!
Hi there! First thing’s first, I feel you with CM, I hate that dungeon. Anyhoo:
What I would say is work on getting your characters geared in at least full exotic gear. If you don’t have the resources to do that, I would pick a character to focus on, probably necromancer or guardian. Once you’ve got your gear, it’s mostly about practice.
Are you on a North American server? Feel free to add me as a friend in game (Trafficone.5301). I’d be happy to help you out when I can.
I like my names to be stupid and punny. My oldest character (Sylvari ranger, Boughmaster) originally had a more lore appropriate name, but I eventually got bored of that and so I changed it. Most of my names are somewhat related to the race and profession of each character, but not always. My Charr engineer is named Furfriend, because of a little Charr cub named Kirt who wanted his warband to be called the Furfriend warband. My Asura guardian is named The Rescuer, because Asura kind of remind me of mice, so it’s a bit of a throwback to some of my favorite childhood movies and it also seemed thematically appropriate for a guardian. I’ve had lots of people whisper me about my names and how they induced a chuckle, and that makes me happy! Even though I’ve never gotten a comment about it, the name I’m probably the most proud of is my Sylvari thief, Sapterfuge.
My fiance and I both name our characters like this, and if I’m entirely honest, it takes us a LONG time to come up with names we’re happy with, especially with all the names already in use! His best one, in my opinion, is Purrglar (Charr thief).
Despite being the “cat” of darkness, I believe Zuzu is actually supposed to be a kitten. His model is similar to that of other mini kittens.
I have 11 characters, all level 80. One of each profession plus an extra ranger and necromancer. 8 of my 11 have map completion and the other three are working on it. I have some professions doubled up because I don’t like carrying extra gear sets. I also don’t like sharing things among my characters so they’re all in the process of getting their own set of ascended gear and infinite gathering tools (but several of them are complete!).
My main is probably my first ranger, but I play ALL of my characters nearly everytime I play. I don’t roleplay, but each of my characters has a little backstory that I try to portray with the skins and minis they use. Most of my characters were either leveled with tomes or crafting. Leveling is my least favorite part of the game, but I love exploring and gearing up my characters.
You need to equip the Reaper trait line in the third slot of your specializations. With that line equipped you can use a greatsword.
You need to equip Scrapper in the 3rd line of your specializations. The line needs to be equipped in order to use the hammer.
I, for one, enjoy underwater combat tremendously. I’ve made Frenzy and Kamohoali’i Kotaki, and I’m part way done with Kraitkin. Guess what? I don’t care if anybody sees them, because I made them for ME to look at, because I really like the skins and I really like using them. While it might not be enjoyable for some people, some of us really like underwater combat and would love to see it developed further. In the meantime, I’ll be using my underwater legendaries and enjoying them, whether anyone else sees them or not.
Add me to the list of people waiting for this finisher to return. It’s by far my favorite of all of them and I would love to get my hands on it!
Ten tomes of knowledge can get you a key, not 10 spirit shards. Make a new character, level it to 10 with tomes, and do the level 10 personal story steps. I personally hang on to tomes to level alts, because I have plenty of shards, but if you want to convert them to shards, that’s your choice!
Both Traveler and Speed runes will make golems move faster.
Claw Island counts for map completion? I thought it only counted for Krytan Explorer because I have 8 characters with 100% map completion but only two of them have been to Claw Island.
But like Sariel said, there are some relatively new hearts in the starter areas, and I know my oldest character had 100% map completion and dropped back to 98% or so when those hearts were added. I would open up the map and look at the overall map completion in the top left corner and it should tell you at least what types of objectives you’re missing. Good luck!
Bump for Dhuum! Bump for Fun!
How many goats are you worth? We at DoD are worth many goats. Are you worth lots of goats? Come hang out with people worth as many goats as you!
Join DoD today! Trust me, it’s fun!
I don’t care for the changes either. My main is a Sylvari with the mushroom hair, and now I can’t see her eyes and it bugs me. My other characters also look weird. I hope they change the camera angle back, because all of my characters look bizarre at such an odd angle.
Dhuum approves of this bump.
We’re still looking for 1-2 people interested in some commanding/leading groups on Northern Shiverpeaks! Training and support will be provided!
Bump for Dhuum! DoD is an awesome group of people and we’re always looking to add new people to our goofy family! Join today!
My guild moved to NSP recently and it was the best decision we ever made! The community is so friendly and welcoming. This is a great place to call home!
Hi there! I’m one of the leaders of Druids of Dhuum [DoD] a PvX guild on Northern Shiverpeaks. We’re very casual and friendly. We’re also very welcoming to new players. Our number one priority is having fun, but we do strive to improve our skills in the game. We have a strong PvE core, and you are always welcome to watch cutscenes in our dungeon runs. We have scheduled guild missions, and regular world boss runs, dungeon runs, and we even do things like map completion and crafting together. We also have an interest in WvW, with scheduled runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays (you are not required to be at scheduled events, just wanted to let you know that they happen!). We also have PvP teams that are very good about teaching new people. More than anything, we’re a goofy happy family that enjoys gaming together.
If you’re interested, feel free to check out our website at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of our leaders:
PvE: Trafficone.5301 (me)
WvW: Turkadactyl.5308
PvP: Blaze.7185
Good luck with your search! I hope you find the right guild for you!
You don’t actually need 5 people to do Arah story. I’m not positive if it can be done solo(never tried, but I think it can be), but I’ve done it many times with only two people. You do have the option to solo it; just enter the instance alone. Certainly, it probably won’t be a walk in the park, but I’m pretty confident that it’s doable. If you want, you can contact me in game sometime and I’ll run it with you. Sometime I’ll try it solo to see if it’s possible. But in the meantime, just say in the LFG tool that you’re doing it for the story and want to watch the cutscenes. I guess I’m lucky, but I’ve never run into a problem with the LFG tool when I say that I’m going to watch the cutscenes. Either way, feel free to contact me (Trafficone.5301). I’d be happy to run it with you at whatever pace you’re comfortable with.
Bump for Dhuum! Bump for fun! Bump just because!
Bump for ET! Lots of great people here, an awesome place to call home! As has been said before, there’s something for everyone here. Give us a try!
Do you like to do stuff? Do you like to do THINGS?! Come to DoD where we do all sorts of things and stuff and activities! We have WvW runs, PvP teams, frequent dungeons (including fractals), PvE funtimes, world boss runs, raffles and more! In DoD, you’ll never be just a number in the ranks, you’re a member of the family! DoD is a great place for people who like to find groups to hang with, and even solo players who just want to chat! We are welcoming of new players and veterans alike, and we’re always happy to help people learn about the game. Contact me(Trafficone.5301), Turkadactyl.5308 or Blaze.7185 for more information or an invite!
Hey! Hey everyone! Come to Eredon Terrace! There are a lot of great friends to make here!
Hey there! If you’re still looking for a guild, maybe you could take a look at mine, the Druids of Dhuum [DoD]. We’re a tight-knit PvX guild, multiserver but mostly located on Eredon Terrace. We do a lot of Explorable dungeon teaching runs, and the main focus of our guild is having fun. We have Teamspeak, but never require it, and we’re always helping each other out in various aspects of the game. Shoot me a message in game if you’re interested, or you can check out our website at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com! Also, even if you don’t join the guild, we are more than happy to run dungeons with you.
:D Thanks! Dhuum approves! We’re also known for occasionally yelling out DHUUUUUUUM in guild chat. Always good times!
I think the biggest strength of DoD is that we’re all awesome. We’re like one weird, happy family. We help each other out, rage at the RNG luck of each other, fun stuff like that. We’re multi-server, but our main WvW base is on Eredon Terrace, where we havoc and I grumble about having to fight players. We have a strong PvE core, and we’re always willing to run dungeons, farm zones, fail at jumping puzzles, beat up world bosses, and slog through map completion. We do a lot of living story, too! Basically, we’re friendly, laid-back and fun, and we’d love to hang out with you, even if you don’t join us.
Bump for Dhuum and for Fun!
TA and CoE are the two dungeons my boyfriend and I duo most often. For CoE, we’ve been able to get the lasers done with a thief and a mesmer. Thief shadowsteps for the 3 consoles after the lasers, and the mesmer can drop a portal for the first two consoles. Once you get the timing down, it’s super simple, which is the case for most of CoE, actually. We’ve been able to duo nearly every dungeon path (generally using a guardian and a ranger). We’re currently working on some video guides for duo-ing paths, actually, but in the meantime, feel free to contact me in game! We’d be happy to show you guys the ropes. It’s really a fun and rewarding experience!
Bump of shameless bumpiness.
Bumps for Herons!!
Dhuum demands a bump!
Here’s a less amusing but equally bumpy bump from me!
You may or may not be interested in my group of goofballs, Druids of Dhuum [DoD]. We’re located on Eredon Terrace, and are primarily focused on having fun, but we have a strong presence in WvW and we also do a lot of PvE (dungeons, world events, etc). You definitely wouldn’t be relegated to being just a number in the ranks, we’re a small, tight-knit group. We have Teamspeak, and regular rally nights in WvW. We might be a good fit for you, but we are definitely more of a PvX guild than a dedicated WvW one. I can say, though, that our members are friendly and always looking to have fun together. Our website is located at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com if you’d like some more information!
Hi there! You won’t need to transfer unless you’re looking to do WvW with us. As far as PvE is concerned, with this latest upgrade guild upgrades and such are available across all servers so you’d be able to access the bank and get buffs and such from us, and running around in open world PvE as a group and doing dungeons are easy too!
Servers only really matter in WvW anymore, so you should be fine staying on Darkhaven unless you want to participate in WvW with us. Thanks for your interest! Hope to hear from you soon!
We have all sorts of cheeses. We love cheese, and many of our members also enjoy whiskey, but I am not one of them!
You sound like a perfect fit for Druids of Dhuum [DoD]! We’re located on Eredon Terrace too, and you’re in luck: we don’t have any representation requirements! We’re super casual, and we just want our players to be able to have fun, no matter what they’re doing! I’ll be quick, because you seem like a great fit for us, and direct you to our website at http://druidofdhuum.enjin.com and also to our main nifty recruitment post so I’m not pummeling you with a wall of text here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/guilds/recruitment/Druids-of-Dhuum-DoD-ET-NA-Pv-FUN/
We hope to see you around in game!
(edited by Trafficone.5301)
Shameless bump is shameless and Dhuum approved!
Bump for their awesomeness, go ET!
Bump for ET and for blue herons everywhere!!
There are some pretty awesome people in this guild, join them!
BTW I shuffled 10 pages of the guild recruitment forum and found only 2 ET guilds, Nob and OTBH. And I’m sure these aren’t the only guilds on ET (As you can see on the post at the top)
You are apparently quite the inspiration, Jeknar. I just checked and there are now four Eredon Terrace guilds on the first page.
@Turk and @Traffic = Y’all are awesome cheerleaders.
:O Thanks! Turk and I try to take turns bumping when we remember to! We’ll try to keep it up! Evistiv has been our bumping hero, though!
Bump for Nob’s necro needs!!
Bump for everyone who likes fun!
Hi, Bolvine! You might be interested in my little family, the Druids of Dhuum [DoD]. In [DoD] our #1 focus is having fun, but WvW havoc is one of the things we do most frequently. We’re a small bunch, with around 15 active members, and we’re located on the Eredon Terrace server. Another thing we do very often is dungeon running, particularly teaching runs.
One thing I can definitely say about us is that we do feel like a family. Our website is located at http://druidsofdhuum.enjin.com, and you can PM me or my co-leader Turkadactyl.5308 for more information. If you’d like to run a dungeon with us to try us on for size, that’s great, and we’d be happy to help you with dungeons even if you decide another guild is more your style!
If you do end up liking us and want to transfer to ET to join the WvW fight (havoc forever!), we’d be happy to help fund a transfer. Anyway, let me know if you’d like to play with us sometime, you sound like fun, and a good fit for our little group!
Bump for Dhuum! Bump for ET! Bump for FUN!
Go Nob! Go ET! Nob rules!
These guys kick butt, join them!
