It is generally true that a team with voice will beat a team with no voice.
A team generally has voice if they are premade. It is extremely easy to check for premade. If you want to argue say 4-5 members queuing together counts as premade.
Simple fix: match premades with premades.
Also don’t make a premade without using voice unless you want that challenge :P
I find the map very interesting with a change of gameplay.
Treb doesn’t fight back, and it is a quick stationary kill. Why wouldn’t you kill it following every repair or even killing the repair kit carrier? Oh, because you’re too busy whining that your team stupidly left it alive.
Have fun losing.
(You should think about the random rolls to get sliver)
When you get 1 arcane crystal, use it to make more with the mystic forge.
25 powder, 25 orb, 1000glory(item from vendor), 1 crystal = 11 crystals
When that happens I ragequit :P (well logout/in fixes it)
I personally run pistols instead of rifle, but glueshot and net work about the same way. If the thief is missing I throw grenades everywhere, but if he’s gone, I don’t worry about it. He left the point, leaving his enemy there to cap/hold.
That youtube video sums it up nicely.
The current level 1 ascended gear may not be all that big a boost now but that doesn’t mean it won’t be later. I’ve given up on pve. Currently, I only play in pvp, but randomly sometimes do wvws. A couple months or years from now after having not done any fractals, will I still be viable in wvw or even in later dungeons? Probably not. I don’t like the feeling of being capped because the game designers exercised poor judgment and lied to us.
Some people like gear progression. Anet should’ve been smart enough to realize they can’t cater to everyone. They’ve chosen their stance.
I had been looking forward to this game to avoid the gear grind, and yet here it is. When they claim that the system should’ve been in place at the beginning, that makes me sad, and I wish I didn’t spend the money on it. I’m better off playing Angry Birds.
Ranger is one of the easiest classes to play… Pyrial has it right, results however are not so good…
I agree with OP. Many times I struggle trying to get a better view, only to be finished by someone my camera could not see, when I still had an interrupt. It feels cheap to die that way, and I can certainly see the frustration underwater.
Right now it’s like we’re rolling a 20-sided die and hoping for a 5 and an 18.
You forgot that the die also randomly disappears when you throw it
Well, perhaps your point is that hotjoin pvp is different than tpvp which is a legitimate concern, but the qualifying points generally takes care of that issue, unless you’re trying to ask for another ranking system for free tourneys only :P
Since the only reward is the different skins that may not even look good or be to your taste, I don’t see why people make such a big deal out of the ‘higher’ rank anyway.
It’s funny because after eles whined for months about their downed state, their downed was finally buffed to something reasonable, now you’re saying necro has it bad. Ele still has the lowest hp and the lowest armor. If you can’t stomp on someone, you interrupt the reviver, and continue dpsing. If there are multiple revivers, why isn’t your team working together? Theirs is.
Balance doesn’t have to mean all classes are the same :P

Impression of GW2:
Didn’t live up to the hype. I was very disappointed. As a once-buy game it is very solid, but it seems to try to do too much to attract the population, but once attracted, can’t keep them. Basically is three sections of the game, and two of them are screwed in the last patch, so…
If this is a bug on the tooltip numbers vs actual speed that should be on another board.
I’m not sure why you’re comparing two different classes with different 1h and 2h weapons.
Now, if you bothered to test it with engineer pistol and rifle you might have an argument. Except that engineer’s pistol comes with a bleed that can easily end up more damage than rifle if built for it. Both come with different utilities, so it should come down to personal style of gameplay. And most engineers don’t spend a lot of time in their weapon in the first place.
The ranger is effectively a jack of all trades that does nothing particularly well, which is most people’s gripe with it. However if you know how to avoid *most obstructions, then it is fairly constant nonstop damage from range, and that in itself is useful. That said, other classes can also do this, usually better :P hence the pointlessness other than having a cute pet.
Can this be fixed or toned down or whatever? It is extremely loud!!
