Yea I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. These servers remind me of China and their strict internet censorship, it’s pretty funny how you can’t say anything negative about anything. ANET would very much like to be able to type for us and tell us what we should say.

Its just crazy to me that they don’t make some sort of effort to balance the servers. Personally, I don’t think server merges are in order, but just take some from the top and give to the bottom and bam won’t be a stale matchup again!

Also, why are there EU servers? Now that would be kinda interesting.. merge the EU servers with the NA ones (and find good counterparts) and there ya go also.

While TC could certainly use more EU presence, I don’t think merging EU servers with NA servers is the right idea. For starters communication issues would be made plenty, I for one wouldn’t assume all Europeans can speak english just as I doubt every American can speak German, French, Italian, Russian or Spanish.

I wouldn’t spend the gems to transfer down to T2 just yet. Supposedly the T2 servers are done tanking their matchups and SoS is making a push for T1.

What do you actually get for winning? 2 extra greens and that “oh” 1 second as you open those jiggly chests. Im on TC and I can find fun, I never look at the points, but I count winning as.. did i have fun in my playtime tonight.. well hell yeah, since nothing like winning a fight against the odds and that LOL moment when you got ran over and jumped on.

If people keep transferring around for that easy win then tbh there is no real competition, Piper (if thats you) then tbh TC is better off now with all your negativity that was constantly in /m. Also by choosing not to play WvW because not winning meaning being 1st then you become part of the problem too.

Why anyone that wants real fun, and I mean actual playing of WvW not PvD karma train are choosing to always transfer to those that are winning, atheria has been constantly knocking TC since they transferred off HoD and I’m presuming transferred from some other losing server before that. Il choose that outnumbered server anytime over the roflstomping one since thats when a community builds its backbone, thats when real fun can be had since its not just running around in a circle but working together and TC does that.

In short, you dont have to be on the “winning side” to have fun, you just need to get yourself out there and find it. I personally think all Toasties are great

For a lot of people winning is the fun.

Like i said before, I don’t mind losing from time to time. But NEVER coming in 1st place just isn’t fun. And coming in 2nd only because it’s the “off winning” week for either BG or JQ isn’t fun either.

As for my adding to the problem, I had been playing WvW every week since the tourny up until recently and things have only gotten worst. I for one am tired of busting my kitten only to come in 3rd. Why on earth would i actively choose to put myself through more misery and play in constantly outnumbered matches? To fight for 2nd against a realm who knowing it isn’t their arranged week to win has half their forces playing? And yes Tier 1 has arranged wins, hence the BG win one week followed by the JQ win the next.

There is no real competition because TC isnt competition for the other two servers. Hence why we never come in 1st.

I’m VERY much considering a transfer myself. I love TC, I think we have the best community by far, very friendly! But yea, losing every week sucks, and I don’t go into WvW to fight for 2nd place. We just don’t have the numbers to actually shot for 1st place, and we all know in WvW numbers > skill of the players. Sooo I’m looking at Tier 2 servers and more specifically SoS.

1. It isnt needed, but you will find that it helps sooo much with fights. You’ll find typing out commands and having people read them is almost impossible to do in the middle of a fight.
2. People will likely expect it but it’s not a must. Personally if I were to command I’d make sure I had SOME siege, even if it’s normal siege. It really just depends on when your commanding I guess.
3. This is tricky. If they want to do something else and are just being kittens about it, I’d tell them to feel free to tag up and lead. That said, if they are really trying to help, I’d take their comments into consideration. I know many a non commander players who COULD command if they wanted and do an amazing job doing it. But prefer not to and might be giving you solid advice. All depends on how they approach you.
4. Hate it, but thats just me.
5. It all depends on your play style. There are some commanders who are just in it for the fights, and there are some commanders who are looking at the PPT score. It also depends on who you’re commanding and on what map. Generally if your looking for zerg fights go to EBG. If your looking more at PPT play style and capturing objectives, use the borderlands.

7. People do not like commanders who try something and then just give up. I as a follower would rather us keep beating at something IE a fully upgraded keep. Than just give up and puts around taking camps etc.
8. I wouldn’t expect anything, especially if your a new commander tag, otherwise your going to get disappointed. Just tag up, ask if people want to do X and see what happens.
9. When most of your forces are dead and its clear the rest of you will just become loot bags lol.
10. You will have ragers from time to time, just gotta learn to ignore it, easier said than done I know, but you gotta realize that some people are just kittens. As far as tactics go, follow other commanders, ones you know and respect and see how they do things. Some WvW guilds also train their members in case they ever want to take the reins.
11. It must be very different than when we do things in TC. Most TC commanders are in the thick of it and barking commands while they fight. But most TC commanders are heavy army and survivability classes. Perhaps yours are light armor commanders, in which case you don’t want a staff ele commander on the front lines.

Bad idea. GxGxG would be horrible. Instead move JQ to the China servers since that would be their prime time play, getting rid of the single most detrimental realm to the entire group of servers. Then break up smaller realms and merge them into the other larger ones.

I think the exodus has already started in TC. As I said earlier, I’ve literally only seen one commander within the past 2 weeks (with the exception of K-train friday), and outnumbered every night.

I’m pretty much done with WvW, but not because of 2vs1 or being burned out, it’s because it’s become stale and boring. There is absolutely nothing new on the horizon or even a hint of things to come. I could care less if we ended up in T2 or T8, nothing would still change.

Yea we have had a few guilds either transfer or just dissolve in the past few weeks, but I’m not in the least worried. Going down tiers is better than staying in T1 and being the 3rd wheel, let another server take that unfortunate role for awhile. Or make Tier 1 a 2 server system where JQ and BG can play with each other for all eternity lol.

I fully agree that WvW server population balance is the key to fixing the most wrong thing with WvW. Regardless of “wait times” each map should have a cap on how many people are allowed in WvW equal to the lowest force on that map. So if BGBL had 20 people on, only 20 people from the other teams would be allowed in, thus 60 people in total.

Coverage isn’t about NA population. Due to limited populations playing this game, people playing outside NA can only get the same WvW experience as NA players in the first two tiers. Really only in Tier1

This. JQ just takes everything at night with little to no resistance from BG and TC. Because they have full coverage in all time zones they don’t have to actually work for any of their wins. Why I say BG and TC should form a permanent alliance and attack only JQ until that server breaks apart and forces their sea people into other realms and not just stacked on the same realm. Unless TC drops to tier 2, I’d be all for that too.

Blackgate doesn’t form alliances and if TC drops to T2, the exodus will start in earnest, as history shows.

If the old matchup system was brought back, more people would quit the game because it was terrible. One sided matchups week in and week out is not fun.

So let the exodus begin, either way a good chunk of TC is no longer interested in being the 3rd wheel in T1. You and JQ can have at it. Some of us don’t like fighting for 2nd place, were here to fight for 1st.

You’d be surprised. TC has lost people post season. T2 has seen an influx of lots of players lately, and frankly, would there be an answer for SoS’s SEA/OCX crew? FA the first 2 weeks back in t2 brought close to t1 NA numbers, and still lost. SoS saw a few guilds transfer in the last week or two for NA prime to provide better competition for the other t2 servers. Unless your euro crew is massive still, you’d be just like Maguuma, who’s euro crew is good, but not enough to carry. Remember TC was t2 for a while before season 2, and the SoR exodus is the reason you went t1, and even then SoS would always catch up later in the week. Frankly I’m worried about going t1 if TC loses anymore people.

Well each week WvW has seen less players fighting for the TC side, I think the only times we have map Q’s is at reset. Went on yesterday and not a single map had a Q, most people seem to be farming the new stuff or taking a break from WvW. It really is only a matter of time before we dip into T2, as it stands right now only the die hards are playing WvW.

Tbh Blackgate during season 2 wasn’t overly that bad, in comparison. I mean of course they knew coverage would allow them to win in match ups a T2 servers, so they got into it more so for the fights, at least a good portion of them.

As for the op, I hate to say it but it sounds like ‘were not wining at all so we don’t belong here’. You seriously think any T2 server would fair any better or want to be there? Or even down in T3?

Of course I don’t think anyone from T2 would be able to win vs JQ/BG, and I don’t care either. It’s the variety that I’m after. And I doubt the T2 servers will have much of a choice soon, TC WvW showup is steadily in decline and will continue to do so till only the die hards are left. And that won’t be enough to keep us in T1. Not to mention some people are transferring down to T2 to get away from JQ. It’s only a matter of time.

Not from what I hear in mumble, I think I’ve only heard 1 person say they would NOT like for TC to go down to tier 2 for a weeks break. Keep in mind NO ONE here is talking about TC becoming a perma T2 realm, just sayng a break from JQ every once in awhile would be great for some of us. And I don’t think you are grasping that some of us don’t care if we crush T2, that’s the whole point of us wanting to go down a notch, so we aren’t always coming in 3rd or 2nd…DUH.

By the way, I attribute the cause of TC’s problems is the 2v1 on BG during S2. The split in opinion in the TC community over the 2v1 basically crippled it post-season. It will take time to heal the wounds and bring up new leadership within the server.

I don’t think there are “many wounds” that need healing, most of the people that were upset about the team up left and good riddance. To get so upset about a team up is just kittened. I for one didn’t like it, I hate JQ with a burning passion, and have respect for BG, if anything I would have loved to team up with BG against JQ.

But for those who’s panties got all twisted because of the team up…leave TC please, we don’t need or want your “sensitivity”. They are just people who are looking for something to kitten about, and you can go be miserable somewhere else.

I know you’re still salty over the 2v1 but I don’t think that’s the problem. Facing the same servers over and over again is making us lose population. We had a drop in numbers after season 1 too because people were bored of facing SoS and FA over and over again. Your server might be used to it because you’ve been stuck with JQ forever but most of us on TC are used to a mixture of T1 and T2 matches. Although I agree, falling down into T2 permanently would be bad for TC. Would rather a one up, one down system.

First Places: JQ three times, BG one time
Second Places: TC three times, JQ one time
Third Places: BG three times, TC one time

If we apply the S2 score system (1st gets 5 points, 2nd gets 3 points and 3rd gets 1 point):

JQ: 16 points
TC: 10 points
BG: 8 points

Why would TC not belong in T1, when it is doing even better than BG overall? We all know that both servers would just kitten kitten up in T2, they don’t belong there. If there’s something “wrong” in T1, it would be JQ, but I really don’t mind their chinalike population, it provides a lot of fun fights.

The secret is to stop worring about PPT. It’s a stupid system that just measures one server’s population.

Your analysis just proves my point that TC isn’t a Tier 1 server. We get 2nd place because either BG or JQ give up once -we- have decided who comes in 1st that week. It doesn’t mean we managed to take 2nd place, we are just given it because the realm that gets tag teamed stops playing.

And it’s not just about PPT, its about being able to hold keeps and towers, stuff that you upgrade. I will agree that JQ is the main cause of all Tier 1 problems, who wants to take stuff only to have it retaken when you sleep? Atleast with BG they have to EARN their points, with JQ they gotta worry about a group of 10 trying to stop them. And no, JQ does not have “slow times”, even on their not stacked times they have a 60+ zerg that can respond to stuff.

Remember the old system when the 3rd spot for tier 1 was traded out every week, yea we need that system brought back. That or Tier 1 needs to be made into a 2 man system because TC really doesn’t belong there. This isn’t a dig at my server, I think we have some of the best players in all the realms, but simply put we don’t have the numbers to be in tier 1.

As it is we are just there to determine who comes in 1st place and not competing for 1st place ourselves. I can’t speak for the other players, but I have no intention of playing for 2nd place. As “terrible” as this might sound I’ve stopped playing WvW all together in the hopes that the less people we have playing the worse our score will be and the better our chances of dropping to tier 2.

I get it, all the tier 2 servers would fear TC coming to play with them, and the unlucky souls that rise to tier 1 would probably take the week off and let JQ/BG fight it out. But thats probably going to happen anyway. There is always going to be some TC players who will be in WvW every week no matter what, but I and others have noticed a very steady decline in players week after week.

To all the TC players who would get angry at the fact that some people don’t like beating their face into a brick wall, not all of us share your love of masochism. I don’t mind losing a fair share of games, I DO mind losing every week.

And to all the other players who will undoubtedly point out that I just want to “beat on” less coverage realms. Back when TC was in tier 2 we had some pretty good fights with FA and SoS, not sure if these realms have gone by the wayside but if they haven’t the week wouldn’t be a total blowout. “But you just want to win.” You are kitten right. I don’t need to win every week, but losing every week is not what I will play WvW for.

Not sure when next season will start but I would imagine it wouldn’t be for some time. If it’s anything like League of Legends seasons it will only happen once a year. I personally stopped playing this week after seeing TC was going to be in tier 1 again and won’t play again until we sink to tier 2.

I have 12 GB ram and I still get lag when to 50+ zergs go at it. You gotta have a god status PC to not get a lil lag.

WvW most definitely lacks motivation outside of Tournaments, and even the Tournament rewards are meh. More so actual objective play lacks rewards such as sentrying, yak walking and other VERY thankless but ultimately needed jobs.

I think a lot of people forget that unlike BG and JQ who have been in Tier 1 for quite some time, TC was in Tier 2 for a very long time and is “new” to Tier 1 in comparison to the other 2 servers. So we know what Tier 1 and 2 is like before the tragic mess Anet made with the new matchmaking system.

There is still a lot of GvG that goes down in tier one as well as PPT fights. We almost never have map Q’s on TC unless were talking about reset night (which there around 30 person wait timers on all maps) or if we are responding to one of JQ’s typical blob tactics.

I will say that I miss Tier 2 and would love to push my realm to lose on purpose if only to drop us back down for a week or two. If JQ wasn’t Tier 1 I would gladly stay and fight it out with BG, but JQ has made Tier 1 pretty unbearable.

I don’t think TC being in T2 will make for a balanced matchup though.

It might be an uphill climb for the other two servers, but it would provide something Tier 2 has been lacking, a challenge. I’m not suggesting TC stay in Tier 2, but going there for a week before returning to tier 1 would provide much needed break from the mindless skilless blobs that is JQ. That server just needs to be moved to the china servers, it has no business being with all our other servers.

It’s definitely dying in Tier 1. But that’s because JQ does nothing but super blob all the time. Don’t mind fighting against BG because they win with strategy not numbers, but JQ is all about the numbers and nothing more. After 8 weeks of facing them I’m ready to get TC back to tier 2 so we can avoid that realm and get back to real WvW where battles are won with skill and not numbers.

That or form a perma alliance with BG and do nothing but tag team JQ every day till their realm bleeds some players out and gets their realms population more in sync with the other two. And the nonsense about not having stacked time zones all the time is BS, I have yet to see a timezone that JQ doesnt have a considerable force.

My wishlist would be TC/SoS/FA. Tired of Tier 1 super blobs…mostly tired of JQ, that realm can suck my you know what.

No, this was the worst change they made to WvW. All it would do is make the dominant realm more so.

BG would be your best bet. Though honestly I would suggest a tier 2 server. Tier 1 sucks kitten. JQ makes it pretty much unbearable with their large sea/ giant blobs. Unless you can make it into BG, dont bother with Tier 1

I heard that there’s an email to sendo videos of people hacking. I got an speed hacking guy in video, and I even reported him, on video, for ‘spamming’, so It will very easy to find him. All Anet has to do is to check a reported from me.

So, anyone knows what is the email address?

Don’t bother sending in any reports on people. Anet does nothing about hackers or any other types of bad player behavior. We had pretty much our entire realm report someone for intentionally trying to sabotage us in WvW during the season and Anets response was shrug.

Now hes pretty much pointless to try and kill, and more and more people are resolving to not even attempt the event anymore. Somehow I don’t think that’s what you guys had in mind when you have him that overbuff. He does massive damage (which is alright) but takes pretty much no damage from anything. The damage this guy takes needs to be increased by a substantial amount.

So coming back from a very long hiatus, and trying to figure out the jumping puzzle lockouts. I did all the borderland and EB jumping puzzles on my main. I go to do them on an alt and I’m having problems now. The EB puzzle, and 1 of the borderland chests would not open…is this a timed thing? confused.

Blah of all the tier 1 servers we got the Blober one :P Would much have rathered going up against BG or JQ, at least those tier 1 servers use tactics and not sheer numbers in fights.

I’ve never seen Twinbros in WvW on TC and I don’t really pve. If something smells like a troll and looks like a troll… You know the rest.

Personally I have my fingers crossed for another matchup with JQ, in my view the best T1 server to fight. TC has had far too many matches with servers with less 24/7 coverage than us and a scant few matches with servers with better coverage. We deserve more tough matches.

I’m almost always in TCBL, not really a fan of offensive play in other BL’s and EB has plenty of help, they never need anymore people.

I can’t wait for a t1 server to roll in and knock our fair weathers down a few pegs.

I’m a proud card holder of the “Tier 1 Fair Weathers Club” And while I don’t speak for all fair weathers, if they think the way I do, there is no pegs that we will be knocked down to because we don’t care. It’s really quite simple, Tier 1 (against SoR and BG) We wont show up because we don’t like competing for 3rd place or spamming 1 button. And if not in Tier 1 we will show up.

I don’t mind losing, in fact the most fun I ever had in WvW was losing to JQ in the TC/JQ/FA match. But I don’t like fighting to come in a distant 3rd place. Fighting against 1 tier 1 server, bring it on. Fighting against 2, nah I’ll wait for another week.

Great fights in TCBL last night, sneaky hobitses got our top towers we didn’t even see swords before it flipped!!! Also thanks to those who stayed in TCBL late to fight off the consistent FA force and CD havoc groups. I know it’s tempting to go into EBL for EZ mode WvW with their consistently large force. But your help in defending our upgraded map was very appreciated.

Again mad love for CD’s Evil Angels. nearly took our Hills keep in TCBL with a 2 man and a cata. <3

Team of 3 managed to sneak bust open S Hills Gate (While a FA zerg was busy hitting it’s west wall, unaware that CD had already poped open the gate and was already inside taking out NPCS LMAO)! Then I catch you guys cata our bay water wall, I honestly at that point just wanted to GIVE you guys Bay for the brass ones you guys have lol. <3
