About 5 TC from [TSP] and some [JEST] just exploited their way into Cliffside in FABL for the 2nd time. Really guys? You’re already winning by a stretch and you have to resort to this kind of stuff? So pathetic.

PVE-ers want rewards, so emphasise how easy xp/karma/coin comes in WvW?
Also, trying to recruit WvW-ers from your opponents in the upcoming matchup isn’t the way to do it [DRGN].
You could always just ask in /map if there’s any mesmers porting people up in the jumping puzzle.
Yeah, that was the most FA I have seen to date – that was intense. Really wish they would fix the culling.

Nice to see TC are still claiming that being able to field huge numbers at off-peak hours is superior tactics.
It doesn’t matter if they come at us 2v1 or not, the only thing it will do is make our server grow stronger from it.

As for being fine with 3rd place, I think most people on FA know we’re not going to be dropping out of the tier any time soon (especially with how YB is doing in tier 4) and are just happy to be fighting in the most interesting matchup we’ve had in a while.

While that was happening, referring to the image of a pure green fabl you were speaking of, PRO + a few pugs had roughly 30 people at Cliffside in ybbl. They did really well holding it, to give them credit, but obviously was a hopeless defense since they had nothing else on the map. Meanwhile, they lose their entire border to what frankly wasn’t a particularly strong push from TC.

We decided we didn’t want to waste our time fighting a battle we couldn’t win against zergs from both other servers in our own borderlands. Which ties together with this:
As an FA player and commander I came to a realization tonight. I’m NEVER going to care enough about winning tier 3 to sit with 3 other people in an empty supply camp and watch Dolayks for hours on a Saturday night.

..which is an attitude more and more people on FA are getting, including me, although i’d like to add “that will get overrun by a zerg anyway” to the empty supply camp bit.

I like how a person from YB talks about feeling like its a 2v1 against them and people automatically assume it’s FA whining again. L2read maybe.

Not really. Either way nothing changes except maybe the side of EB we start in.
NA tier 3 is very competitive at the moment, and while both Yak´s Bend and Fort Aspenwood could use the reinforcements I suggest you come to FA as YB are yaks and well.. yaks smell funny.
It IS a population issue and more specifically a coverage issue. During NA primetime we can field as many as the other 2 and more if we’re doing well. But in this matchup and the last ive been seeing us lose everything by around 3am server time (early morning for me in europe), when both the other servers can field significantly larger numbers than we can. This to the point where specifically TC can have a 20 man group taking and securing supply camps with another equally large or larger group assaulting everything. When we have around 15 people on the entire map it’s only a matter of time before we lose everything and even more so if we’re trying to defend against both servers, even if it’s all fully upgraded.
As for how we did last week, I attribute that mostly to people that pulled all-nighters during the first days of the matchup and the effect of doing well on casual wvw’ers.
It sure does feel good to retake Hills in FA BL in under 5 minutes.

I like how TC & YB keep coming up with new ways to justify focussing FA. But it’s all good, farming your zergs last week got me more badges than any other matchup so far
Bumping this because we could use some more, also NA primetime.
From the point of view of TC, you guys have much more than us (and sometimes Yak’s combined!) during that time period. Yesterday in fact we were barely above outmanned on one map, outmanned on the other and had all our players shuffle between TCBL/EB desperately defending key objectives to stop the FA onslaught
We’re used to it though, matching against CD for 2 weeks already.
The guilds that are on during this time are imo more organised than the “day-shift” and tend to move around a lot to keep pressure on or relieve it where needed, which may give the impression that there are more players than there actually are.
We would love to have you guys in Fort Aspenwood.
Fort Aspenwood really needs some reinforcements in NA primetime as it looks like we’re in tier 3 to stay, so yeah, come to Fort Aspenwood!
I got Dusk. The value of precursors on the trading post is already dropping which should soften the blow a bit if you didnt get one.

You get timed out of wvw after the usual amount of afk-time if you stay dead. I’m not really seeing a problem here.
The gear isnt even that good compared to other 80 exotic sets.
http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA just updated. Previous updates projected we would stay as the green server of Tier 4, but now it’s projecting that we will be the blue server of Tier 3! Still very early of course, but it looks like we will get another shot at that tier. Yak’s Bend is the likely server to drop.
I think it’s possible that even if we (YB) won tier 3 this week, we could still drop if the final scores were close enough. That’s crazy.
That’s unfortunate, I was hoping for a rematch.

Well it’s early days still in the current matchup but if the predictions are right we’re going to need reinforcements when we move up to tier 3 next week.
Please lets not have this thread descend into hacker complaints. Its not the fault of FA as a whole if they have some hackers.
It is a massive problem this week. FA is the worst offender we have ever seen. They need to police their people or their server will go down like Gates of Madness. We noticed the same behavior originally from them and now they are one of the worse servers in the system.
My guess is FA will be the next Gates of Madness due to hacking.

Just to clarify, this is a different guild than the PRO that actually does a lot of wvw; their name is Protectorate Of Aspenwood or something but also with the PRO tag.

This isn’t news. Yes there’s a culling issue, yes ANet is aware and has already said they are making good progress on it.
However you not being able to hit your tab key is a fault of your own. I have played vs plenty of D/D Ele’s now and more often than not get my kitten handed to me as a thief (not a glass cannon btw) I go into stealth and while I am the Ele will just spam tab untill he finds me.
This isn’t rocketscience.

Imo just switch the buffs. Also upping repair cost for the losing side is a terrible idea, although I like the increased BoH droprate idea.
This is a pretty weird matchup.. seems like all 3 sides have their zerg-moments but never quite at the same time.

I beg to differ. Screenshot is from just now outside Woodhaven, and it doesn’t show the rest of the TC zerg between the tower and FA garrison. Still fun fights though

“It can’t port you to places you could not normally reach without jumping. It can however port you to places below you as falling is considered part of walking as well. This can help with getting to places without dying by the fall damage.”
but I’ve done a bunch of tests and I can’t get it to work to places below me. Is this a bug?

Glad i farmed one of these bugged doors to get plenty of candy corn for my monthly achievement and more before it was “fixed” to the grind-state Anet apparently wants it to be..
Im not really blaming as much as stating the facts. The blame 100% lies with the game design, you choose to take advantage of it and we either choose not to or are not able to (because of low nighttime numbers).
It stops being fun when I KNOW that you will have at least 30% more players then we do, when I KNOW you can cap whatever you want whenever you want. I go out there and so do others, but when we have 0 queue I know its not the numbers we need. The small skirmishes are still fun but the big fights are worthless because once we become a threat you just put together a zerg or 2 that are bigger than anything we can muster.In addition to you having more players than we do which makes it really hard to do anything worthwhile, you also have all 3 orbs which just makes it that much harder.
I understand the reasoning behind capping everything and getting the orbs, its what WvW is all about after all. But you are still guaranteeing no WvW for 5 days and while itsnot your “fault” its still the result of your actions. I wish our people were out there, but they are not when the scores are what they are now.
Pretty much gotta agree with this.
Right now the biggest bug is getting stuck in the loading screen on exiting spawn. I had to hard-quit the game to get out of it just now, and now i’m in a queue again. It would be nice to get a fix that doesnt break other stuff.
