PvP only skins will still exist, what will be “removed” is the PvP tag from armors, after the update your PvP skin will be the same as the PvE skin, but no gear will be removed at all.
I think the confusion is this:
In WvW, you use gear.
In PvP, you use skins (there is no gear).
They are going to remove the skins in PvP on patch day, but give you free Transmutation Charges to rebuild your PvP look since you will now be wearing gear in PvP (just like in WvW). You still won’t get the stats from gear in PvP, but they have to do it this way in order to implement the wardrobe system.
I am running windows 7, and this is probably a bug with interface or what ever because i did have normal fps and no weird stuff in past in full screen.
Ok so i got mine fixed, i wanted to test my cpu/gpu temp with CPU-Z and GPU-Z and i was reading another post where sirsquishy.8531 said to “Load GW2 with Windowed Fullscreen Mode” so i did, and while testing i had no slow motion effect what so ever and i was in LA doing events and stuff, then i realized that changing to windowed fullscreen mode fixed it for me!
I hope this works for others with same issue as me, and thanks sirsquishy.8531 for suggesting windowed fullscreen mode for cpu/gpu testing, otherwise i would not notice it actually fix the issue i had!
And it started again today…..i really have no idea….my cpu/gpu is not overheating….and even if i put everything on low and turn off every option that uses pref. it still happens
Only thing i have working in background is winamp playing radio…i tried to turn it off and ofc it did not fix the issue lol
So recently i started having these fps drops but it is not like a standard fps drop where you freeze for a bit….this is more like a slow motion….it goes like that at random and it slows then normal and repeat in intervals of 1 sec and it does not matter if i am doing something where many people/mobs are or just standing alone doing nothing with nothing around me, even cut scenes are having this slow motion. (i play other games such as Skyrim, WoW, AoC and Tera Rising and i do not have this issue)
This is what i did to try and fix this but no luck so far.
-Fresh windows install with new drivers for everything.
-Checked for overheating and all seems normal like always.
-I turned off all graphic option to low and turned everything off.
-My connection is fine, no package loss what so ever.

AMD Athlon™ II X4 640 Processor
8 GB DDR3
The easiest way to level is by doing the Hearts / Events in each zone. Honestly its a million times quicker than doing dungeon runs. I play casually and when I was levelling my main it was 5-10 levels a day easyy just doing that
Yeah i know but i am leveling my alt and i already have 100% world so i kinda want to do something else beside hearts
Hi all, i recently returned to GW2 and i would like to know how viable is leveling in dungeons nowdays? Is it still 1 level per run?
Also i would like to know about LFG tool, if i make my own group can they still vote kick me as group leader?
The reason i ended up alone might be that when we killed green knight he spawned only green and red circles…..and i had to go to blue boss to take blue circle (at blue boss there was all 3 circle)….so there…yet another attunement bug….seriously lame…not to mention limiting 50 ppl per knight is really lame for overflow servers…
Alright sarcasm aside :P i just did 3 knights in overflow, pick up all 3 attunements….and when i ported i ended up in overflow that had nobody in it except me…..so is that a bug or “working as intended”? All i could do was wait to be out of combat and then TP out….i dont mind not getting loot but wasting time is kinda lame….
Well imo 1st part of LA LS was cool, we got to save citizens and kill what ever in events or solo, but now part 2….we get 3 knights and 1 main boss + everything we already had in part 1? come on Anet some creativity for kitten sake…i mean same old zerg this zerg that from event to event then boss fight every 1 hour…..sure it was fun for maybe 1 day but it just get dull and boring really fast…..

Also achievements for part 2 are just meh….doing all 3 knights in 6 mins? also will you remove the kitten overfow it is sad that i cant even play on my server with normal ppl but instead i get nothing done in overfow most of the times.
Boss reflecting condition damage? instead of that you should make a boss to be one big fat kitten that farts and it would be more fun….

Same issue as everyone else here, getting dc, lag spikes that last for like 10 seconds, being unable to connect to servers…..come on please fix this…..i am playing on desolation eu.
Hi all, i finally have time to play again and i am coming back to GW2. Since i did not play for like more than 6 months i have few question to ask.
1. Now i love to do 100% maps and everything on them, so tell me how is the Orr nowdays? is it possible to do all 3 maps 100%? or is it empty and ultra hard to do it solo?
2. Do people still grind dungeon tokens from dungeons for cosmetic set/gearing up? dungeons such as CoF and such?
3. I am starting new character and i was thinking of going engineer, but iyo which profession is most strongest and easy to solo with since i am gonna do stuff i mentioned in question nr.1.

So like many, I have/am placing too much value on reward, grinding for mats, etc. For those of you that just play to play and have fun, what do YOU do? I just completed Hidden Garden, very fun. Wish there were more(Ive been in the dwarven one once). But other than map completion, what nooks and crannies have you discovered that are worth discovering? What intrinsic value are you finding in the game?
Well when i started GW2 i played ~1400 hours before i take a few months break, in those 1400 hours i did 100% world, pvp, wvw, puzzles, crafting, alt rolling, all dungeons both mode and i really had a blast but if you get obsessed with gathering items/loot/what ever….then you will get bored in every game really quick. So what i suggest you should do is log in and then decide what is fun thing to do for that day and do it, and repeat that every time….that is what i do
I can’t think of a single MMO that was particularly good at 8 months. most MMOs take a year or two to even become playable….if they ever become playable. WoW had serious issues for the first couple of years, but very little competition. SWToR was a disaster at this point in it’s life cycle. AoC and Warhammer took years to become playable. Lotro has many issues in it’s first years.
Anyone who says 8 months is not new isn’t paying attention.
Basically this, in 8 month many games are empty because a) they failed on the way and lost all players or b) they failed at the start and lost all players…so i would say that GW2 was one of most successful launched games in a long time and it is doing fine.
Hi all, as title say i am back to GW2 and i am really enjoying it, i started from lvl1 and having a blast and i am going for 100% maps again and everything i did before i love this game!
-Mounts=travel speed….armor=cosmetics, have a mount just for looks? that would only take a space and as stated above block NPC’s….so kinda pointless imo.
-Ok since every time someone suggest mounts people scream bloody murder…..jeez….how about since we have engineer class (aka professions….just sound weird to me :P ) , lets say some ancient engineer NPC that made rocket boots or something like that and you can move 100% faster with them?
Some MMO’s support staff will roll-back hacked accounts but I know not of any game that offers a character restoration feature. (I am presuming this is a feature that keeps deleted characters on file in case you change your mind)
-WoW, RIFT, AoC, LOTRO, Tera, SWTOR (not 100% sure) and many others have it….

-Well imo people just spam dungeons or craft to level up nowdays, Orr is being ignored since you got like bazillion risen running 800% speed at you screaming “Everyone, come!” so it kinda gets boring after a while, but i do not think that merging servers would solve this, people just spam fractals 24/7 without moving from LA….Also gw2lfg is good way to get groups, but dungeon finder would be nice to see.
-Mounted battle? we want normal mounts to get faster to places where the waypoint is contested or there is not one, or just to ride until i die \o/ We want mounts! When do we want them? NOW! hehe
-Mesmer can use gun but ranger can’t….oh the irony lol….GW2 is really neat with caster using melee weapons and all that, but they limited some common sense stuff…

-So wait a second….it is ok for ranger to use short bow, long bow, torch, dagger, 1H sword, axe (more like a boomerang <.<) and greatsword, BUT do not ever never ever use gun or rifle? Please explain why would Ranger who can use all those weapons fail at using gun or rifle?

This game is not any of those games. Same point about WoW goes to those as well. Your argument is invalid. Stop trying to make this game like every other MMO copycat.
-Hmm well people with better gear will pull agro and they would be kiting/healing/being downed more than players with lower quality gear and based on that they would do better, i don’t think it would be a good idea.
