I’d rather have something much more basic: Armor designed for Asura physiology.
Outside of the cultural, I haven’t seen ANY equipment made while considering our feet or ears. =(
Isn’t there actually 6, if you count the one that’s hiding behind the hill…? =P
I like this camera range and hope it stays. Maybe add a slider for max/min camera distance in the options?
I kind of like the combo of flaming book and kits… it just gives a nice glow to your character without any overt effects.
Medkits. I like being able to travel the map quickly and I’m too absentminded to ever switch it back to the elixit.
There’s been an official post stating that Clocktower and Pumpkin Carving are NOT required for the Emissary title.
Ed. Or, rather, they don’t contribute towards the title.
Yeah; Kudu is one of the top-ranking members of the Inquest.
I find the ‘hostile faction’ for the Asura to be one of the more interesting ones. Most of the other races whose opposing faction stands in, well, opposition to major beliefs: Sylvari-Nightmare Court, Norn-Svanir, Human-Separatists. The Inquest takes the [evidently] innate Asuran desire for knowledge, pushes it to the extreme and gives it a nice coating of ‘the ends justify the means’.
Having said that, considering just how much flak the Inquest gets from the rest of Asura society and there cases where there are self-imposed restrictions on behavior, using the Inquest as an example of typical Asura behavior is flawed.
It is mostly up to the krewe, but the general Asura mindset is ‘Knowledge triumphs sacrifice… up to a point.’ That point depends on the beliefs of the individual; on one end, you have some that believed that fiddling with the oozes were unethical (I believe there was a few…) all the way to the far end where the Inquest will cheerfully decimate any other race as long as they can get away with it.
Most tend to occupy some pragmatic middle-ground, like the protesters in the Infinity Ball chain… where I thought it was an amusing veil that they were masking concern over having themselves killed by a singularity or whatnot in the guise of environmentalist worries.
A specific keybind to cancel targeting would be useful in various circumstances.
While Escape has this functionality, it first cancels any active actions, then cancels the target and finally opens the menu. A specific keybind would allow somebody to cancel the target without cancelling the action currently in progress.
According to one of the sites I use, ‘Iron Flintlock’ and ‘Ruinmaker’ are the only two with that skin. (Well. It also lists ‘Engineer Pistol’, but that sounds more like PvP or placeholder data.)
Just a thought that would probably go against the ToS since it’d be an automatic looping mechanism, but it should be trivial to set something up that intercepts a keypress and mashes 1 repeatedly until disabled, effectively giving it the same effect, but with less hand-strain. Maybe check in with staff about that?
Yeah, the character screen rounds up while the in-game one rounds down. Not sure why…
Try changing your targeting options if you’re having trouble aiming the flamethrower. Personally, I prefer it to only fire straight forward and not lock on things, which means I have to change my settings whenever I use it.
Love the bird— the little line under its eye looks like it’s kind of freaked out. =P
I’ve been wondering about the weapons myself; Carrion isn’t very Asura in style.
Your armor previews are probably bugged, there was a post somewhere with somebody else having a similar problem. The dungeon armors are all supposed to be different; CoF, for example, has flames coming out all over the place.
They give you experience, a bit of coin and are required for map completion (which has its own set of rewards). In some cases, there’s a bit of overlap between events and heart quests.
I’d totally get the glasses if I could wear them into combat, like a normal piece of headgear. I’m an Asura engineer— it works out perfectly!
Hi, I love the style of your work and have actually been trying to log in to post since your first sketch (curse ye, ANet for broken forums!)… finally managed to get it working by logging on from my phone first, go figure.
Attached is Ambera, an Asura Engineer!
Equipment of choice is pistol and shield, accompanied by her ever-so-loved turrets.
I was trying for a perpetually sleepy look though I think I only managed a flat/bored expression…
(And if feet are visible… please cover the toes. =P)
