Missile Deflection trait does not deflect any projectiles that are blocked from the boon Aegis.
Had already posted on this thread, but I should probably post it on the bugs thread also.
My mace block does reflect projectiles. Just not the Aegis.
A ranger arrow. All his shots are reflected when I use my shield stance. Then I noted that the same didn’t happen when I had aegis on. Noticed it more than once.
But I tried it and it didn’t work.
Currently doesn’t reflect. Shouldn’t it?
The best answer to the loot problem is to just make it show up for you in a chest at your portal hub spawn.
Don’t have the loot disappear but have it cap out at 100 or whatever items. That way you can always redeem your missed loot, similar to what happened when you finished instances in GW1 and missed stuff.
That would be awesome. Maybe a more immediate and simpler solution to code would be an auto-loot for the game. Say they make a feature that could be turned on in which characters would loot anytime loot is around unless you would become encumbered. Then you would auto-loot all the bags that would fall on your feet. If you would become encumbered, then the bag would just stay there on the ground.
This would also be a nice solution for PvE in which I also miss some loot when I don’t see the mob glowing. I wish I would get the loot as soon as I passed by because I don’t see it all the time with so many particle effects going on in regions like cursed shore.
So a skill like Scorpion Wire should probably not pull then, should it?
I would actually need to test this but don’t know how to. Any tips?
Was looking at the Pull section of the wiki. If your understanding is correct, then some of these pull skills should work while some should not. Wish it was easier to tell.
I would also love that this was better described. In this case, I would like to change this bug report to a description bug. Do you also feel some explanation is missing?
How can I tell if a skill is unblockable? Is this property for a specific skill or for the pull effect?
By the way, although the title is similar to this thread, the bug is different so I decided to post as a separate bug thread.
I have a warrior using mace/shield and the Missile Deflection trait. I notice that some abilities are not blocked when I use Shield Stance or Counterblow. In particular, I can still be pulled even though I have Shield Stance up.
Why is this effect not blocked? Is this the intended behavior?

I thought I didn’t have a problem with thieves anymore since I got to lvl 80 and got a full set of exotics. But today it was just ridiculous. First there was an incident in which a thief downed me in about 2 seconds. I’m lvl 80 and have a full set of exotics and 2500+ armor. I don’t think this should be possible. There is definitely something wrong here.
The second incident was with 2 thieves against 5-6 of ours. We play quite well and no matter what happened, we couldn’t kill either of those two. They would not leave either. Just walk around and kite a group 3x their size. It was all about the stealth. And I tried to do what Anet asked me to kill a thief. We tried so much doing AoE damage on their stealth and it didn’t work at all. Of course those two were really skilled. But so were we. We were not some group of noobs.
While I’m running WvW, I see a gathering spot and decide to stop to gather. Since I don’t want to waste an orichalcum ore to gather copper, I choose the appropriate gathering tool. The problem is that, other than metals which I basically know which tool to use, I have to read the tool tips of the tools one by one to find out which one I should use. I think this process is too annoying for something that shouldn’t be.
This is made even worse by the introduction of some nodes that are not even named in any gathering tool like passiflora. It’s introduced into the game but the tool tips are not updated.
Possible solutions could be:
1) Have a gathering tool that has charges in them. If you gather a copper node, then it uses 3 charges. A Iron/steel node 7 charges. Gold would be 11 charges. Platinum 15, Mithril 20 and Orichalcum 50. That would guarantee that you are still paying the same proportion you pay now, minus the inconvenience.
If this first solution is not desirable because maybe Arena net wants us to carry around many mining tools, then we can use the second solution.
2) Color code the tools and gathering nodes so it is easier to spot which tool you need to use. If color coding the nodes is not desirable for map reasons, then add a tier in parenthesis after the name. Say “Onions” would change to “Onions ©” and I would know right away that I need a copper tool to gather it. Then on my inventory, have the tools color coded for me to easily spot the copper tool without having to hover the mouse over all of them to see where my copper tool is.
As of right now, gathering is not just a detour to reach the gathering node. It is also an unnecessary inconvenience. Please make this easier for us.

That bug is not exclusive to necros. I know it affects other classes and weapons as well. In my case, it happens with my sword wielding warrior.
I’ve also noticed this recently. Noticed I had cripple and weakness. Used warhorn 4 and was still left with the weakness. Hope it’s not supposed to be like this.

Anytime they add anything remotely related to P vs P ( which I consider W vs W to be ) I’m always missing out and will continue to do so. It’s not anything I’ll ever do for any achievement.

Logged in this morning to see if people were still playing WvW and they were. Although we were mostly outnumbered, at least there were some people around. I quickly formed a 5 man party and we basically took everything from our battlegrounds. I also finished my monthly!!

I have achieved everything except the WvW for the monthly every month so far.
How is your server doing? Is it just like HoD?
Can this be relaxed in any way by Arena.net?
I have completed 3/4 parts from my monthly achievement. I’m just missing the WvW kills. When I read around about it, people say it’s very easy to get them. But on some circumstances it’s almost impossible.
In my case, I am at the Henge of Denravi server. I haven’t seen a commander in our WvW server in ages. When I go out, we are usually outnumbered. I am not lvl 80 and since I keep leveling, I can’t even keep my armor/weapons up to date so that scaling my character would give me some good results. Thought things would get better when we went down a bracket but things are just as bad as before. I’m also a warrior, which feels under powered against other professions in WvW, and I’m not even that good at it.
As you can all see, it is quite tough to get even a single kill in WvW. I can spend three days in WvW logging in at different times just to see if anyone is logged on and I always go out just to be killed again and again and again. Haven’t gotten a single kill these past three days.
When I think about my options, I feel like doing what many people do. Just transfer to another server that has a more active community to do my monthly. Some people say it can be done quite quickly. But although this is one solution and it seems people are fleeing HoD quickly, I don’t really like this solution as I have friends on this server.
Although it was hard, I got up to 38 kills in WvW with a huuuuge struggle. I’m almost there. But I just can’t believe it’s supposed to be this hard. I’m completely worn out of WvW.
Couldn’t Anet relax this so it can be achieved in some other way? There are some servers struggling on WvW and changing servers should not be the solution. At least Anet should strive for it not to be the solution.
Adding a waypoint for out of combat use would go along way so players could actually get back up and help eventually when they get thrown to random places players cannot get them or fall to random places.
That would also be very good. As long as it´s out of combat.
So about my question, isn´t there a way to do this already? I somehow feel I´m being noobish and haven´t found this way yet.
Look around. There are many posts that are so childish it’s not even funny.
How about this? Post your positives and negatives? This was well done (to show that part was going in the right direction) and this could be worked on (post alternatives). A rant, a curse or being vocal that you will leave because of this behavior brings no positive feedback at all.
When I look at these updates, I love the amount of content that arena.net gives us for free. Not just that, but the contents are great in general. I really like the way the development on this game is going forward.
Although, the updates are generally positive, there are always a few quirks that need to be fixed here and there. That’s normal. Although the quirks are small related to all the positives that we get, the should be addressed. This post is on the way these quirks are addressed on these forums and this is my rant:
The way many complaints are made on this forum is completely childish and immature. Many players complain on these quirks like nothing good was introduced at all. The behavior I’ve seen looks like a 5 year old child trying to get something from their parents. Something like: “If I don’t get a cookie later than I won’t eat my lunch”. It might work for a 5 year old if his parents are overprotective and dumb to fall for that. But arena.net is not your parents. Threatening to leave and saying how horrible the updates were is not the proper way to help this game go in a positive direction.
Stop being 5 year old spoiled brats! If you want to improve this game, please change your attitude. kitten #8230;
First of all, thanks A.net for this Dungeon. The level design is amazing. Simply stunning! Also, mixing the dungeon with jumping puzzles was such a great idea. We had a blast last night. The no waypoint idea is also really good as people now have to res players and not just have them come back from a waypoint. This was also a really good idea.
But on this last point, we had some trouble last night on the jumping portions of the dungeon. Both on the lava fractal and on the big giant fractal we had one or two players fall to unreachable places so they could not be resurrected. Since we did a considerable part of the dungeon already, we didn’t want to forcibly wipe so that they could join us back again. So we continued… Since we had less players, it took way longer to finish the dungeon than normal and I can only think it was not really fun for the people that were dead and had to wait for 20+ minutes for us to finish it.
By the way, on the giant fractal, I once fell on a big hole and way brought automatically to safe land. But someone else on my party fell without coming back. I don’t know how he got that.
So with that said, does anyone know of a way to bring their bodies back to the start of the dungeon or somewhere that they could be resurrected?
I don’t mind having a detour because of our mistakes. But having them wait for us to either wipe or to finish the dungeon was odd.

EDIT: at least replying to say they are aware and that they will not kill this build or something like that.
The way it’s been described is that you won’t be able to put runes into the Ascended armour.
What will probably happen is you’ll get a few extra stats as if you’ve got an orb already included in your armour, rather than being able to put a rune in yourself.
At least, that’s how I’ve read it. I have a feeling most people will continue using exotics in their day to day playing because of the versatility runes give builds that I don’t think will be replicable with Ascended.
Of course, I could be TOTALLY way off the mark. Wait and see I guess!
That’s how I read it also. If runes leave, warriors will be nerfed again as warrior is already quite weak and it would take away one of the warrior’s best strategies.
Will ascended armor also have a rune slot so shout warriors can still remove conditions on shouts? f the rune is integrated into the armor, will all the rune effects be integrated?
Got worried because of the description that says ascended items will have the rune slot integrated and some builds are quite dependent on runes.
That’s quite reasonable, especially with the big event coming up.
The sooner the better.
I was reading a reddit post on the guild wars 2 subreddit and I came onto this comment which I thought was quite valid.
I wonder if the devs have seen this and what they think about it. It doesn’t bother me much yet as I’m not even lvl 80 and my equipment gets changed way too often for me to worry about it much. But the thought of having to change armor when I go to WvW anoys me a bit.
Maybe we can have multiple armor sets available that we can change from one to the other without being a hassle? What do you guys think about this?
Simple bug description:
My character would get stuck being unable to move without any condition on me. I could use skills but could not move or dodge.
Detailed Bug description and why I think it’s a bug:
I have started to play sPvP just recently. In the beginning things are quite confusing. What intrigued me the most was that at some points, my character would not be able to move just like the ‘simple bug description’, even though I could see no conditions on my character. At first, I thought it might be a skill or spell I don’t understand yet. This occurred repeatedly, usually at least once every two matches. Usually this occurs during combat and usually after someone uses a skill that immobilizes my character.
What at first seemed like something I did not understand confirmed itself as a bug when I got stuck in combat and the opposing team left the area/died. I stayed like this for at least one full minute and I can guarantee that there were no conditions on my character. I reported this issue to my teammates to see if they could help me during this time. One mentioned that I should destroy the roots of a ranger skill, but there was nothing around when I held the CTRL button.
I tested using skills and they would all work (including shouts that) remove conditions. Once other players got around me, they basically said my character seemed broken. I could only move again after I used the burst skill of my hammer, which forcibly moved my character from that spot.
Other details:
As I mentioned, I was playing sPvP. I am a warrior using a shouts build with traits 10/0/30/30/0 and a complete set of Superior Rune of the Soldier (to remove conditions). I don’t know how to properly reproduce this bug as it would only happen in PvP and it’s not an easy testing environment. If I could guess, I think I was affected by an immobilize (usually by many other conditions at the same time) and I removed the negative conditions with a shout. That left my character stuck and unable to move. Not sure, but it mostly occurred after I was affected by many conditions at the same time.
