Instead of taking all those screenies, you should have come help your buddies in IoJ BL who were getting destroyed.

Destroyed? That’s a strong word for the difference in numbers. When we got one of your guild groups isolated it was very even. When you all got together? Yeah, 80 on 30 or 40 is gonna go in the favor of the 80 usually.

Lots of fun fights in IOJ bl so far tonight. I think SBI and IOJ are both getting a lot of bags out there. Looking forward to more fun fights this week.

You don’t understand the monster that SBI is right now. They were strong before and got bolstered by transfers. Look at their matchup now. Ranked 13 and steamrolling 12 & 11 (BP and YB). SBI had 50 man groups rolling on our bl at 11 am est on a weekday. We’re lucky to get 20 together then for an emergency. Here’s to hoping they get pushed into the top league before leagues start…

lol so much kitten talking from all sides -_-. SBI I’ve had fun fights against you. Lots of chest thumping, but none of it is really earned. We haven’t really cared about ppt, or at least I haven’t. I don’t think any of the groups I have been in have wiped to DDLG all week. You bait us, we don’t take it, wait for you to blow your cooldowns and then get our baggies. Thanks! TE, had some good fights from you but your donations to the bag farm have been great as well. Honestly of all the guilds from both servers, the only times I remember wiping repeatedly were to OS on NSP from the last time we were matched up.

Call me crazy, but I can have fun zerging or roaming. Had some awesome group fights tonight when [HARD] and [CORE] grouped up in IOJ bl. Good fights from [DDLG], [TE], [BAEST], and several other guild groups. I know to some it just looks like stacking up might and blobbing into each other, but the amount of micromanagement that goes on is pretty impressive.

SPCA, you guys just inspire me to get better at solo and small group play. I’ve been watching a lot of Your Big Horse’s youtube videos and been going out on my support guard in small groups more. Your group play is ridiculously coordinated. I ran into the char mesmer (waffles?) on my zerg specced warrior and might as well just have /cry’d as he melted me. Looking forward to talking with you all to get some tips on our small group composition and builds.

Keep up the good fights, don’t know how many 3 hour defenses of our bay I can handle in one week O_O.

I think SBI is a better choice for [SE] than IoJ. You clearly want to not feel like NA prime is not riding on your shoulders, and that’s probably what you will find on IoJ. Based on score history, HoD and SF commonly out tick IoJ during NA Prime, which means only bad things for IoJ when they face more competent servers. I’m just feeling like you’d be moving from one place with insufficient NA coverage, to another, only the second option can PvDoor bad servers during oceanic prime? If you’re about the PPT maybe you should choose IoJ, if you’re about the bags and working with skilled guilds when you are online you should choose SBI.

lol wut? HoD and SF have given us some good fights but this week has mostly been a blow out. Our whole corner stays fortified in NA primetime while we constantly flip their paper towers and keeps, in EB and BLs. I don’t think you looked at the score history very carefully, or looked specifically for times when we were being pressed hard from both sides. IoJ has changed a ton since the last time we faced SBI. I remember that because it was my first week in wvw (late may or early june I think). Since then I’ve ran with IOJ through 340 wvw ranks from 0 and seen us go from losing every week to winning every week and everyone working together. I’m in one of the big wvw guilds on IOJ and no one ever asks or begs us to do anything. The culture of IOJ is that we’re all IOJ, and we all work together in wvw. Guilds don’t get thrown under the bus, we’re all on the same TS channels and know each other. SE is about the same size as us and would fit in nicely with the current wvw scene here, we’d love to have them.

Nothing but respect for SBI, and I have been hoping to roll you each week at reset… but I think SE’s guys that have been rolling with us this week can tell you that your perception simply isn’t true.

Dunno if that question was directed at me or not. I’m from SF, but talked with someone from HoD that saw their Bay get taken repeatedly with this glitch from a few different servers in the last few weeks. They reported the glitch and so did I, so we’ll see if it gets patched. I tested it to make sure it was not a fluke, but WP’d out after confirming that it worked. Anyone with a port (thieves, mezzies and Ele) can do it. :/ Just keep any out out for it and if you know anyone on your server that is exploiting it just bring them into check. I know i will if I know of anyone does it to take a keep.

We saw a thief get to inner with nothing down. We went to reflip briar and bay flipped. Our fault for not staying on the thief. We took it back and saw no siege on the gates so it was either a golem take or the thief. It’s fine, we reflipped it. I’m just curious because if it is an exploit I’d hope anet would fix it.

HoD… did you legit take our bay or did your thief that somehow got in without gates being down do it? Just curious.

It was a fun siege. I remember the first time we ran by QL into Dane and ALL THOSE AC CIRCLES. Fun to see us from the other perspective, we had quite a few on for a monday afternoon lol.

I’ve enjoyed talking with some of you guys so far. I hope you’ve enjoyed the time on IOJ, we’ve loved having you here. Edge has been DOING WORK in EB lol. Let us know if you have any questions, I know CORE is ready to help grind for the gold farm to help out if need be!

I had a crazy fun time defending IoJ bl last night. Definitely one of the hardest pushes on us in recent memory. HoD just kept coming and coming at Hills. ALL THOSE GOLEMS. You did eventually turn our Hills to paper while a lot of us were trying to do some quick emergency management in EB. However we deflected your push onto garri and SF’s pokes at Bay. Definitely some stressful times, but we managed to have fun through all of it. Our TS was pretty insane by midnight est, lol.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed your stay on our borderlands. Some guildies did some spec ops on your bl after the big pushes to make sure our insomniacs and oceanics would enjoy their stay on your bl. From the looks of MOS, it seems they had a pretty good time.

Once again, bravo for the toughest challenge we’ve faced in a few weeks.

Props to the DR who took back their EB corner. I honestly didn’t expect to see our Outnumbered buff pop in EB all week. I feel for your server, especially with this exodus. Takes some gumption to bring those numbers in and clean sweep your corner. Keep it up, and I hope things get better for you guys soon.

I don’t condone spawn camping and I wish we weren’t doing it. I want some good fights, if only to show you what the real skill level of IOJ is. You have some good groups, yes. I remember 3 distinct wipes in the group I was running with. 1 of them was legitimately good strategy and planning, the other 2 came from siege and superior position in a tower, the same thing you guys talk down on us for.

I’d be listening to the other people on your server. I talked to a few and they were genuinely nice and well-adjusted individuals. There’s a vocal minority that gets under our skin, and unfortunately that gets taken out against your entire server. Be careful because they won’t put up with it forever. Morale is very important for a server, we’ve seen the benefits of it over the past few weeks.

It’s embarrassing for all parties involved how trolltastic this thread has been, myself included. I want good fights, not edited clips that showcase only the positive outcomes for you. People are excited in IOJ, we have new people in wvw every day and we’re teaching them how to play for objectives and fight intelligently. No, we’re not making any MLG x420x highlight videos, but our server is on the rise. We’re open to any wvw’rs that love playing the game for the objectives and always have room for more. Don’t put up with a few groups who bring your entire culture down, find a culture where you fit and have fun… it is a game after all.

Anyone wanna pull up our last matchup thread with DR? HOW BAD IOJ IS? We’ll be running fraps 24/7, have fun this week DDLG.

The new patch and subsequent updates this week have been ridiculous. There is never adequate warning. We all know that “a new build will be available in the next few hours” means 20 minutes at most. I’m all for updates, but there has to be a way that these WON’T affect siege in wvw. We’ve had guildies spend hours in enemy bls slowly building up golems, just to have them wiped when ever there’s a ninja patch for some extremely small pve thing. You know what it did to our collective guild morale to hype up a 25 golem rush of a BL, only to come back on and see none of the golems there (all obsessively refreshed, mind you)? Not to mention the defensive siege some of us painstakingly place and build. Superior prints aren’t cheap, and they can all be wiped with a simple patch. Just a pain, and the 3 or so hotfixes this week have all come at terrible times for us in or close to NA prime time.

NSP… you make fun of us for pvdooring, right now is our weakest time of the day. GG. Our revenge will be sweet.

NSP, nice push on SM this morning. It was fun commanding against you guys and my first time commanding against an omega rush. We had almost nobody on thanks to the patch and I thought we were going to lose it for sure… especially the second time you came back with an omega. Somehow we managed to deflect you all, repair everything to 100 and get a waypoint.

So excited for our new transfers to IOJ. I saw RUN and MoW take SF Bay this morning and paint it that new smurf blue. I wonder what tonight will hold!

This has been my point from the start. Why would fight clubs be held in IoJ territory and not the other map whoever the fight club starter is? As I told everyone before, I will break those fight club if I am commanding. I don’t want any red names on the map I am protecting.

Yeah, you can use the EB JP. It’s almost abandoned now that sieges can be bought from TP.

Well if it was between people on NSP and SF then the logical thing is to use IOJ BL as the Windmill(which is a common dueling ground across all servers), is very close to both teams spawn points.

NOP. If it’s in IOJ bl and there’s not many (any) IoJ there, go to your own bl. If a server hosts it, have it on your bl. When our south camp keeps getting flipped, we’re gonna wipe you regardless. I’m sick of our bl being used for this kitten. I know you roamers think you’re the bestest when you can solo us while we run (yeah I run zerg busting build and do no dps, congrats for taking me down while I run to defend something) but 99% of the time I’m just trying to scout for our bl and defend objectives.

Also, really cute NSP building golems in vale. I’m glad I got curious and suicided in there to see all those alphas right before you portaled them. I love spoiling the fun. You can jump on me in the golems as much as you want, but our keeps are still fortified with waypoints… since reset night. GG.

Averaelas, what is this rumored IOJ numbers boost? I wish. We run with skeleton crews throughout the NA day until around 9 pm est. Last night was pretty rare in that we had 3 organized zergs running around for a BIT. By the time we were pushing keeps we were one group. Sounds like you guys got rid of some dirty laundry, which is always a good feeling. But HUGE NUMBERS BOLSTER is fictional, this is the same group of people we had the last time we were matched up. Fun times so far, let’s keep it up.

I enjoyed the clip of the norn warrior in red from CORE dying. He was on when I was roaming this morning, and it was pretty ridiculous how sad he was. He’d bolt away from me and run to a ballista in the nearby camp and just sit there until the zerg showed up. And it did, every time. It was really impressive that they’d be able to bring 10-15 people within 30 seconds just for one roamer over and over. I wish I’d been able to get him in open field like that.

Yeah, what do you want me to do? It’s not fight club, you didn’t /bow, and you’re trying to flip our camp. Of course I’m gonna try to spreadshot you in the face if you’re taking the camp. Way to ruin the game

you must not have any AC abilities, 1 that is well within range prior to having ac range buff. 2, you just need to get the circle on the edge, the radius is pretty big. if you play with your fast cast ground targeting on, then you wont see the radius (assuming you have actually used an arrowcart) of the arrow cart.

stop whining and build a ballista on the lord room, thats an easy counter to the ac.

That’s ridiculous. I have all but the last point in AC mastery (as in, yes I have extended range) and I’m pretty good at working my camera around. There are impossible shots being made. I know about just catching a spot that barely gives a green aoe circle. That’s one thing, that’s what I did the first night DH called zoom hacks on us. What I’m seeing is targeting with absolutely no line of sight. We were defending inner bay against DH earlier this week and had siege set up well away from the door they were attacking (east inner by the lord’s room. Our AC was south of the entrance by a good measure. If their AC aoe circle had been overlapping on the wall and the ground that would be one thing. But it was entirely on the ground in a position that would be impossible to see from the gate.You would have to point the camera at the ground and zoom all the way out, and even then the arch on top of the gate would be in the way. I would love to be proven wrong, but I can’t find any other conclusion for how this happened.
