The should just have an option to disable character voice for fighting and skills. It does get annoying after a while.
Annoyed of my character sayings….
“For Great Justice!”
“Shake it off!”
“Urge to kill rising!”
“Must unleash”
“Adrenaline building!”

Yeah, idk how that ele did it, guess that’s what threw me off. I was like, “no way”

I downed an ele 4 times. Kept shooting my rifle when he was downed, he managed to get up all 4 times and last time, he was alive. I was like WTH? Even a warrior can’t get up permanently from downed state. Total bs. Should’ve just “finished” him.
Fix Fast Hands!
@Xhaine No, I don’t have troubles dodging. However, I think if it was more like Monster Hunter battles, the boss fights would be a lot more interesting. (If you’ve ever played that game, you’d get it) GW2 def has the mechanics to do it.
Def like some of the new things in GW2 that GW1 didn’t have, but def miss some of the things that they did do right in GW1. Too bad they didn’t bring all the great things about GW1 to it’s predecessor.
I’m okay with 1 shot bosses as long as they’re directional skills and not target skills where the only way you can avoid it is to “evade” with a roll.
I have to agree with the OP. Too many crybabies, it’s giving me a bad taste about the GW2 community.
From my experience, the reset occurs whenever the person that started the instance leaves the party.
I’ve had a similar bug/issue doing the a heart in Timberline Falls, “Help the Priory’s excavation of the ruins” where you have to pick up items and bring them to a box. Sometimes the items would just disappear while running or just as I’m about to get to the box. I had swiftness on (from signet of rage) and I assumed it was because I was running over bumps on the ground that gave me some small air-time that caused the item to disappear, but just a guess. I just walked really slow to get it to work.
I wish there was more boss battles like Monster Hunter. GW2 has the mechanics to pull it off, it just needs the AI and better skills for bosses…
My suggestions for bosses:
- Add charging directional attacks
- Remove charging single target attacks where player’s really can’t dodge, but have to “evade”. Players should only have to “evade” when there’s no way of dodging out of the line of sight of an attack.
- Add directional AOE attacks
- Remove 360 AOE attacks at position of boss, unless it’s like a stomp or something where it actually makes sense.
- DON’T just buff their stats or give them more health. Groups will just be doing the same thing, cornering a boss and attacking it until it drops, just for a longer period of time.
- DON’T just give them higher damage AOE poison/fire/fear/knockdown. (Like in the last dungeon patch. It just feels lazy.)
On another note, chain fears and chain knockdowns that where added in the dungeons to “counter” speed clearing dungeons is just really stupid. It’s so annoying and feels like a lazy way to counter speed clearing.
Abyss is black (light reflection is white)
Midnight Ice is black (light reflection has hint of blue)
Black is not quite black. More like hex color #333
RP1: My word! Do you hear that? What is that sound?
RP2: Oh, that? Nevermind that. Those would be Krait. Filthy, ill mannered creatures, one and and all. They come in from whatever hole they call home and enslave the villagers.
RP1: Enslave the villagers? Shouldn’t we do something?
RP3: Oh heavens no. Look outside the window. There are plenty battling away as is. More tea?
RP1: Delightful tea by the way, but I believe I have had my fill. But to remain on point – doesn’t our mere presence here increase the number of Krait? Aren’t our sheer numbers making it more difficult for them to fight the Krait off?
RP2: Perhaps. But that isn’t our concern. We here to have civil conversation, not fight slimy brutes in the street like common mercenaries.
RP3: Yes, it isn’t our concern at all. And if you knew the price I paid for dye at the auction house to get these town clothes looking just so, you would not be asking me to switch into that horrible looking armor right now. More cake?
Lmao. Brilliant.
Would definitely add a cool factor.
- The cover of Final Fantasy Tactics. Knights on chocobos riding in tandem. Looks awesome.
- Assassin’s Creed and Shadow of the Colossus – Horses. One of the coolest things about those games.
Although, Guild Wars world doesn’t have horses. But if I remember, they do have undead horses in GW1 outside of TOA… and there is “Iron Hourse Mine”.
I don’t think it would destroy weapon swapping, it would just allow more variety using a weapon.
Btw, I’m lvl 80. My character
- Skills – I’d like to have the ability to change our skill set like in GW1. That’s what was so great about GW1, even though the max lvl was 20, you could create hundreds and hundreds of builds. That really was one of the best parts about GW1 for me. 1319 skills in GW1 to choose from. In GW2, it doesn’t have to be that extensive, but just add a few more options would be a great start. Make it like our class traits are but for weapons, allow us to choose more than the cookie cutter default weapon skill set, for example, say for greatsword, if we don’t want 100 blades, allow us to purchase a new skill for that slot with a skill point. I know this isn’t an easy thing to just implement, but it’s just a suggestion and I appreciate all the work the devs have already put into the game.
- Armor – Regarding armor, it’s so bland. IMO the best looking armor is the Charr’s. Pauldrons look way too big on humans, like they where meant for other races. More armor sets would be awesome, and (make them actually look cool). This would probably be in an expansion. No offense intended, it’s just not my style taste in armor design (specifically for male humans).
- Character – More customization of our characters after creation. Like hair style change/color change (a barber shop or something), ability to dye our weapons. Can’t find a shield that matches my armor, not a big deal, but it would def make some of us feel better. ^^; Oh yeah, and tattoos looks awesome on Norns, can other classes have that as an option too? lol. (Tattoo parlor?)
GW1 has really spoiled us. Other than that, just fixing the current broken skills in-game would make the game a home-run for me. (Like fast hands on warriors)

Yes, I agree, I get frustrated every time I see that 10 sec cooldown. Fix this please.
Along the same lines, but per dungeon completion, I’d like to see the stats for the party such as who had most DPS, who had most heals, etc. It’s just be nice to see how party members contribute to completion of the dungeon.
The sound is caused from the Fire Elemental summoned by Elementalists. It’s not at the same volume as the master volume. To fix it, go to your sound options and hit default settings. Then you can readjust your master volume.
