@Konig I wasn’t aware of that yet. Still haven’t been to Arah.

What exactly ARE the Elder Dragons?

History:
Not much is known about the Elder Dragons last awakening, aside from a few smattered accounts from Arah. many races have not survived these periods of time, the only ones known being: The Jotun, Forgotten, Murrsaat and Seer’s.

You forgot the dwarves. Their knowledge of the EDs survived in myths and legends. Thus they had knowledge of the Great Destroyer and Zhaitan.

The Seer’s and Murrsat:
These tow races seem to have a similar time line to the Forgotten and according to lost Lore kept in Arah, were responsible for the creation of the Blood stone’s. The Blood Stones sealed away all the Uncorrupted magic remaining in tyria, saving it from the dragons. These two races worked closely together for this purpose, then later hid away. afterwards they began to War upon one another, ultimately leading to the events of Guildwars 1 and the Flame Seeker Prof’s.

The it was the human gods, NOT the seers/mursaat who created the bloodstones and split the four schools of magic to limit the destructive powers of the four when used together.

The dragons left guardians to guard them as they slumbered, obviously fearing the surviving races if there were any, while also ensuring they might have an easy meal when they time for them to awaken again came.

They didn’t necessarily fear the races. As far as we know, they consumed all they saw before them. Glint hid those who survived so the dragons would not discover them.

I will try this as well. I found several book carts that I missed yesterday and am willing to spend hours looking for each book cart again in case I missed any. Unfortunately because the books are not numbered as there are for The Founding, it will be a bit more difficult to keep track of which ones have already been read.

Norn Language?

So far I have yet to see anything like this in GW2. Although I believe they may have a writing system of their own in addition to their version of New Krytan, I also believe much of their storytelling is done orally and so the writing system is not extensively used by most norn.

What legion would a Charr elementalist likely be in?

Any can work, although Ash would be odd because elemental magic is so flashy (not subtle at all!). I would say a Blood Legion ele would be all about raining down fire and rushing in the midst of things – my dual dagger ele style, for instance. Blood like to be on the front lines and be ferocious, which you can certainly do with magic.

On the other hand, I’d say an Iron Legion ele would be a little more calculating, perhaps take more pride in mastering the craft of magic. Magic can be a powerful tool which not everyone has open to them – it might not be the same as technology, but strategically applied… it’s a weapon that shouldn’t be overlooked.

This is a valid point. Being an elementalist in the Ash Legion can be subtle depending on how the elemental attunements are used. For example, an Ash Legion elementalist specializing in Earth Magic could cause a landslide which might block Flame Legion forces from passing through a valley, allowing Blood Legion soldiers to them flank them from behind. A Blood Legion necromancer could raise an army of minions to fight for him. It’s all a matter of how the individual uses their abilities in battle.

It comes down to personal preference really. While it is true that most shamans were members of the Flame Legion, there were others within the other High Legions as well. Also, while the legions do specialize in specific methods of combat, that does not necessarily exclude individuals who don’t fit the stereotype of their legion from choosing spell casting professions over others that do fit the typical image of each legion.

8. In Fireheart Rise, I found a burning forest (there’s even a skill point there) which reminded me of the one in Sacnoth Valley (Eye of the North) located not far from the Catacombs of Kathandrax. The Burning Forest seems to be in the same general area.

I would like to point out that although the two locations do share some similarities, Sacnoth Valley and Fireheart Rise are not close enough for the two to be considered the same location. Sacnoth Valley is in the southeastern corner of the Blood Legion Homelands while Fireheart Rise is in the northwest corner of northern Ascalon.
