The rating system is flawed and actually rewards the losers in a tier rather then the winner.
That’s the way it was designed. To increase or decrease their rating relative to how well they performed. Not to give them free points for winning against a much easier opponent, especially if their win was only 10k at the end of the week. You wouldn’t give Manchester United a pat on the back for beating a local school’s U16 soccer team would you?
The glicko system is designed to give players (or in our case servers) an individual rating on their performance. This rating will go up or down depending on the performance against the rating of other servers, not whether you win or lose. It is much more balanced then a +1 for a win, 0 for 2nd, -1 for 3rd.
The glicko system works in most implementations, but not in GW2. Why?
It is assumed with the glicko system that you are matched up against different, but similarly rated opponents in every match, but in Guild Wars 2 this doesn’t happen. Instead, ratings are put into numerical ranking and every grouping of 3 servers gets to duke it out for the week.
If the matchup stays the same week after week after week, then the rating no longer applies to their ranking as a whole, but how well they compete against other 2 servers in the matchup.
Good example of this recently was Tarnished Coast. We’d been rank 7 for about 2 months, but couldn’t break out of tier 3. When IoJ fell, and TC went up, we gave the two servers in our new tier BG and SoR great competition, often flirting with the lead at the start of the match. Ironically enough, a statistician posted in one of the other threads on this topic, saying that we’d get smashed. Didn’t happen due to our rating stagnating in tier 3, and not giving an actual indication of our ability as a server.
Two things that could alleviate, but not 100% fix this problem, whilst still giving balanced matchups.
Idea 1 – Merge the NA and EU tier. 24 (or 27 for EU) servers split between about 1600 rating means finding different servers that are evenly matched is quite a problem. ~150 to 200 rating difference often leads to a blowout in a matchup. With an increased server pool to create grouping from, there’d be higher chance of a balanced match. More importantly however, less rating difference between tiers would increase the likelihood of a different matchup each week. I worked out the matchups for last week, and only 1 match out of the top 10 combined tiers would have been the same (NA T1 becoming World T1).
Side effects may include another week of 1 day matches, (or some combination of 1, 2 and 3 days) to ensure the merged tiers are equally rated, and possibly a few hundred ms of lag when entering WvW against servers in different parts of the world.
Idea 2 – Add in some form of manual rating change if certain conditions are met. One possible method would be that if a server in a higher tier lost 3 matches in a row, and a server in the tier lower won 3 matches in a row, they’d have their ratings made near equal, with the lower tier server having 1 rating higher then the higher tier server, essentially having them switch places.
Of course, this could still end up in a blowout if the servers in question are too different in ability, and would result in a blowout in both tiers.
Also to all the people blaming server transfers….. People moving increases the volatility of the matches, because it’s still change. Change increases the likelihood of servers moving up or down the rankings. If anything closing transfers would make the problem worse as players would have no freedom of movement, just causing this whole dilemma to get worse.
+1 for merging this thread with all the other topics on the exact same thing.
TLDR: Glicko as a system works, but Anet’s implementation of it is poor.

You can also build golems at the camp, and if you’re discovered, run / port the golems to the invulnerability spot.
Step 1: Make it so you can join the overflow whenever you want (and possibly choose which overflow as well)
Step 2: Make a WvW Eternal Battlegrouds and Borderlands overflow maps composed of random players from all servers, so people in the queue can do something WvW related, and not sit around doing nothing.
Step 3: Allow you to queue for the WvW overflow directly.
Step 4: Remove jumping puzzles from the maps that are used for the actual server matchups, while keeping the ones in the overflow.
Step 5: Move the EB entrance portals to the jumping puzzles into the spawn areas, and add ones in for the borderlands puzzle in the spawn.
Step 6: Watch as people that want to WvW can actually do WvW and avoid queues, and those that want to jumping puzzles can do so without hindering their server.
Optionally, do what OP said and remove badges from the JP chests. Personally, I’d rather them stay unless they buff the drop rate on badges.

Tarnished is holding their own in tier 2 at the moment, currently beating the reigning tier 2 champ Blackgate, and not far behind first place Sanctum of Rall.
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/32441/bglol.jpg
I don’t think anyone has any doubts about TC’s ability to perform in the upper tiers anymore, as this matchup’s score coupled the praise from BG and SoR alike proves this.
With a large organized guild or two as part of a night crew, we’d be giving Rall a run for their money easily.
(edited by Zynthetic.2954)
I’ll just leave this here.
If you’re a WvWer looking for a new home, or just want to see what a different server is like, transfer to Tarnished Coast for the week to see just how much of a friendly, helpful and cohesive server we are.
But most of all, bring on Tier 2!
(edited by Zynthetic.2954)
Personally, I am afraid that we have a) too many commanders that each do their own thing and b) too many people that don’t do supply runs. But we’ll see what happens in t2, the ranking system is desgned so that we need to loose by alot of points to loose ranking, so it’s hard to say how long we’ll last.
I think you can never have enough good commanders, more often then not for the night crew there are times that there is no commanders on some maps, and it becomes harder for pugs to co-ordinate and attack objectives.
Some commanders just need to remember when to turn off their blue dorito, and when to have it on. Ideally we shouldn’t have only 1 commander on full map, but getting the 100g can hamper that.
But a problem I run into often is that commanders don’t want to split up their zergs to hit multiple targets. We don’t need 30 people hitting one supply camp. Good players can solo supply camps if noone turns up to defend it. 8 people is enough to take an undefended wooden tower, if not a keep. But all attacks should all aim on the same end result, which is hampering a the enemy. No real point having 1 group attack the hyleks while another is hitting mendons.
I do agree we have very few people doing supply runs. We’ll either have a zerg run over and repair it once (sometimes not even to full) and leave again, or have 1 person spending an hour solo-repairing it.
All in all, looking forward to getting smashed in the face with BG’s and Rall’s night crews.
The lack of stat combos is one of the things I dislike about the game. Anet are adding more combos in which is good, like apothecary’s and given’s, but they still haven’t put in the 1 combo that’s greatly needed. Power / Precision / Vitality.
It seems stupid that the other only options for Power / Vitality / Dps Stat are Power / Vit / Condi, which is useless if you don’t use conditions, or Power / Vit / Crit Damage, which is pretty useless if you don’t have a high critical chance, because you’re to busy stacking vit gear to get any precision.
I know I’d have to re-gear personally, but I’d rather that then then waste parts of my stat budget.
Siege despawning has got to be the stupidest mechanic in WvW. If it’s to reduce lag, then ok, whatever. But having siege despawn having 30 minutes? You’ll push out of a keep, attack something, then get pushed back in and all your siege is now missing. At least increase it to a few hours before it despawns.
Also give us the ability to destroy siege we place as well. Annoying using 4 rams for a keep gate, and then not being able to drop anything on the next attack or defense.
I’m sure FA and CD would have way more points if TC didn’t have a max population that filled all BL nearly 100% of the time.
Every night TC gets ahead by an additional 10k+ points. It’d be fun to actually have a 1v1v1 instead of a fight for second.
This matchup, only once have I seen a queue for any of TC’s maps. So no, we don’t “nearly fill all the BL nearly 100% of the time”.
What we do accomplish however, is switching between maps when needed so that we can maximize our presence, and then leave a skeleton crew to defend. Maybe that’s why we seem to be everywhere all the time. This is part of the WvW meta after all.
Regardless, we’ll probably get roflstomped into the ground come oceanic primetime vs BG and Rall. We still have no real coordinated night crew aside from who’s online in PiNK afaik.
WTB Oceanic guild on TC.
Um, pardon me .. but did GODS transfer to TC? I just saw one on the FABL map with the GODS tag — and he wasn’t all angry and red … O.o
Really need to check the actual guild name, not just the tag. Especially if it’s a common word like gods.
Both TC and FA have a WvW guild with the tag PRO for example. Wouldn’t be the first time someones mistaken PINK for PiNK either. Hell, my old guild TSG ran into about 4 different guilds with the same tag in WvW.
Yes, let’s remove a core part of combat because it is annoying to some people.
/sarcasm
Not discussing game mechanics at length and in-depth to evaluate them is probably one of the worst things you could do to a videogame. As it stands, many of the other posts have given reasoning why downed state should be toned down, because it is to pro-numbers.
Yesterday on my ranger defending bay, the amount of people I downed and got them to 20% of the downed state, before 5 people came to rez, them was ridiculous. Can’t exactly jump down into 30 enemies to stomp them.
Oh yes, remove that invuln! As a necromancer, ugh…
Invulnerability removing bleeds plus 900 range for bleeds is why I stopped playing mine, despite how fun it was. I found it annoying trying to survive zerg v zerg. Running around in 5 or 10 mans was fine though.
I’d prefer to keep the downed state, it’s a good mechanic for game where you don’t have people spamming heals on you that give you 50% of your hp every 2 seconds.
But when someone is downed, they get a second or two of invulnerability. Why?
All it does is reduce the amount of damage they take for no apparent reason, making it take even longer to kill them. It’s annoying if someone gets downed midway through rapid fire or a similar channeled burst ability, because half of it gets wasted. Plus all the conditions disappear to. I feel sorry for all the condition necros, getting 15 stacks of bleed on a target just for them to all disappear and lose all the pressure that was built up (and possibly waste a great outbreak opportunity).
Remove the invulnerability, it gimps some builds heavily and makes it harder to finish off the downed player.
Also +1 for removing rally. Just stupid that it’s a race to kill someone on the other team ( or some irrelevant npc) so all your downed players get a free rez. To many times I’ve seen people ignore downed players and try to go for the kill (and often failing).
And +1 for removing mist form’s ability to go through tower portals.
Elite Slasher’s stories not being satire?
…I don’t think that possibility crossed my mind.
Sorry to read about your luck TC.
What happened?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Pink-Monkey-s-DEVS-now-on-TC
^ That? No idea otherwise. Regardless, TC doesn’t put up with hackers and exploiters on our server, and we’ll make sure they either get banned or transfer off in disgrace.
If it is just the other servers missing a mesmer or a random bug, then we’ve got no problems. Wouldn’t be the first time someones called me a hacker because someone built a wall back up on top of me and trapped me inside it.
Tarnished just golem zerged both FA and CD keeps in eternal to reset them.
Not sure if overkill or not.
Still, great job to everyone that was there, went along very smoothly seeing we were mostly random pugs with a bit of gold to waste.
Shoutout to those that held back CD’s defense long enough with me for the golems to break through. 6 v 20 and having to run back ftl, but still successful in my book.
(edited by Zynthetic.2954)
Also worth noting that if the tiers were merged, the fights this week would have been
Tier 1 SoS JQ SBI
Tier 2 VS BG BT
Tier 3 SR Rall AS
Tier 4 IoJ TC BB
Tier 5 Des ER CD
Tier 6 FA YB Kod
Tier 7 PK RS MS
Tier 8 Gan Mag EBay
Etc, Etc. If you don’t know the names of some of the servers, that’s a good thing volatility wise.
The problem is that if servers are so evenly matched that they can’t pull ahead, then they’re stuck against one another. You could have all the best servers in a lower bracket, and they wouldn’t be able to escape it.
This is not a problem. This is the whole purpose of the score system. Put evenly matched servers against each other. That in turn should provide the best WvW experience.
Should Tier 8 have such fortunate situation why would anyone want to escape it?
This guy gets it. Even matches are exactly the purpose of a ladder system.
I didn’t say that even matches are a bad thing. Matches where the teams are near equal in points at the end of the week are the best.
I said if matches are too even week after week after week, then they stagnate with no servers going up, and none going down.
This has numerous other side effects to, such as boredom, irritation, and unfriendly rivalries (TC vs FA threads make good examples of that last point) among others.
The rating system is purposefly designed to rate the skill with the player constantly changing opponents. However, if the system was used to match up based on rating. Then the result can lead to deadlocks that don’t represent team ratings.
Anets use on the system is wrong.
Which was the point I was trying to make. The same matchups no longer truly represent the servers, but only how they compete against the same 2 – 3 servers they’re facing.
If all of evenly matched tier 3 servers chose a respective server for next week in tier 8 and transferred, these new t8 realms wouldn’t change their rating, and would still stay in t8, even though they should be much higher in rankings.
Anet should consider modifying their rating system slightly to counter this, or merge server tiers to alleviate the chance of stagnation.
I don’t think they need to get rid of the scoring system, but it does need to be tweaked. It’s a similar story in the top NA 3 tiers. All the servers are so evenly matched that noone goes anywhere.
The problem is that if servers are so evenly matched that they can’t pull ahead, then they’re stuck against one another. You could have all the best servers in a lower bracket, and they wouldn’t be able to escape it.
Two possible options are
a) Merge EU and US tiers, so there’s more servers to fight, closer point differences between tiers increasing the likelihood of different matchups and reduced a chance of fighting the same opponent for 2 months straight. I worked out in another thread that the only tier to be the same this week would have been NA T1 as World T1.
b) Make it so that after the 2nd week, and increasing every week thereafter of the same matchup, that the point difference gets multiplied by a factor (maybe 0.5). So after 3 weeks for example, there would be a multiplier of 2 (normal 1 + 0.5 × 2 extra weeks). Currently at the time of writing this, JQ is set to lose 70 with the current scores, so instead they’d lose 150, which would be enough to put them in T2 and let Blackgate go into tier 1. It wouldn’t solve the tier 3 problem this week, however.
Obviously neither of these are foolproof and both have their flaws, but they are still options none the less.
(edited by Zynthetic.2954)
Add a new island to the mists that is always an overflow map in an effort to avoid killing your own server-mates (which Anet doesn’t want). Make it free for all, but people in your group are friendly and you can’t attack them. Killing enemy players gives tokens, tokens can be traded in for a set of aggressive looking gear. Thoughts?
Not sure how you’d incorporate any objectives for FFA PvP that made sense though.
Personally I think they need to merge the NA and EU tiers. This will result in a larger pool with more servers, and thus higher chance of getting equally matched teams and a higher likelihood of differing matchups each week due to smaller score differences between tiers.
For example next weeks matches would be
Tier 1 SoS JQ SBI
Tier 2 VS BG BT
Tier 3 SR Rall AS
Tier 4 IoJ TC BB
Tier 5 Des ER CD
Tier 6 FA YB Kod
Tier 7 PK RS MS
Tier 8 Gan Mag EBay
Of course, one of the repercussions of doing this would be that you’d end up with NA PvDooring during their primetime, and EU PvDooring during their primetime to. While the effects on higher tier 24 / 7 servers wouldn’t be as severe, the constant sway on lower tier servers would be problematic.
Think old Sea of Sorrows before they got the transfers. Constant +500 sways all over the place if they went up against anything but Janthir. TC’s night crew should remember this all to well.
There is no treadmill. Yet.
Anet stated that they’ll be adding in new infusions that increase in power.
So ascended gear is just a long grind, yes, and you’ll have to repeat it for every new piece of gear. The infusions however are a treadmill.
It has an impact on
- WvWers.
- People playing with alts.
- People wanting to play some other games for a few months.
- People with little time.
- Anyone that wants to use more then one gearset.
<snip>
Yeah, I agree. And you know, people aren’t really talking about this much but……this degree of constant negativity on the forums will, over the long term, have very real and tangible effects in shaping the identity of the forum community. The more consistently hostile a forum, the more likely we are to drive away sensible people who might have something very cool or imaginative or intelligent to share with us, but end up thinking, “Wow, look at these guys. They’d rip me apart. I’d rather not waste my time here.”
Consequently forums which stay ugly for a while tend to spiral, because they either drive away readership and discourage contributions or sort of become cannibalistic where just a small, angry core of perpetually dissatisfied players (or ex-players) who chase each other in circles over the same arguments over who’s ruining the game and why.
I’m not trying to be dramatic. I love forum communities and I’ve been part of at least a dozen major MMO communities over the last decade. This sort of situation can end up defining the tenor of a forum.
:(
If you’ve been part of a dozen major MMO communities, you’d also know that the situations on the forums were shaped by the state of the games.
^ The forums where mostly fine before the patch. Then after they announced their plans, it became a hater v hater fest of negativity.
It was an expected reaction though.
Guys, the OP isn’t exactly complaining about the game or recent changes, but expressing regret over the dramatic change in attitude in the General Forums over the last weekend.
He has a credible point. Whatever you might think about Ascended armor, the forums have been objectively nastier and more hostile lately, much more argumentative and far less constructive.
The OP is talking about how the forum community went from relatively civil to almost exclusively flooded with a front page of angry, baffled or hostile threads. Frankly I agree. It’s depressing.
When you merge all of the threads concerning a different part of a topic into a single thread, it makes information hard to find.
What happens is you either have to spend to much time to find the proper facts and maths behind them. It also makes it harder to find any and all logical conclusions and reasoning.
This is completely ignoring all the other threads that have been deleted as well in the past week.
So debating with reasoning becomes hard unless you’ve bothered to sift through it all. Many just decide to wing it and argue blindly without knowing anything.
…. Explaining why X is bad for the 10th+ time is quite annoying.
I love how you call anyone with a different opinion than you a “vocal minority locust”.
Is that a harsh term? Yes. Does name calling get either side anywhere? Nope. But when you come into a game, marketed as not having a treadmill, and ask for the total opposite, that is pretty idiotic.
I never asked for this change, I was enjoying the game quite as bit as it was. I’m sure that’s the case for many of the people you refer to as “locusts”. That doesn’t mean we’re not going to enjoy the hell out of a new tier of equipment.
Majority of the playerbase was enjoying the game before the last patch, you and me included. If you had asked me a week ago I would have said I’d be playing this game for years. It was a minority however asking for the gear progression / treadmill. If that’s what you want however, there are many, many games that do it so much better though. WoW, Rift, SWTOR, and many others.
This new tier of equipment isn’t going to break the game. A game which I might add has only been out for THREE months. They never made a promise that exotic(easy as hell to get) gear was going to be the final stage.
Adding in ascended gear was a grey area. If they had added in legendary armor instead of ascended gear, it would have been fine. Noone would have cared, hell people would have been happy.
But by adding in an extremely long grind, (with infusions that increase in power) which the game was marketed as not having, to get these new items, it has put a lot of people off the game. I would suggest go educating yourself on both sides of the argument, but sifting through the 214 page thread, but it’s nigh impossible to find your own posts in that mess (I’ve tried and failed using permalinks) let alone anything of value.
The TLDR of the past week is;
=>Vocal minority locusts QQ they have nothing to do, even though they probably haven’t done most of the content yet anyway.
=> Anet introduces the Ascended gear treadmill to shut them up.
=> Vocal majority, also the legit fans of the game go WTF?!?!
=> Legit fans explain in detail why it’s a bad idea, what’s wrong with it, and what they could have done instead of adding grind.
=> Apologists don’t understand the consequences, nor the other group’s viewpoint, and tell the legit fans to leave the game.
=> So the legit fans leave when Anet makes no attempt to respond to the PR disaster.
And now there’s a 50 / 50 chance this will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in the history of gaming. Well, I think anyway.
(Blizzard was actually found out to do this) to sabotage the game
[Citation Needed]
Keep in mind that the portal from the Mists to Lion’s Arch also puts more players in LA. Moving the portal around, and adding in the other 5 cities may help to split the population up, instead of cramming everyone into LA.
But yeah, +1 for moving the portal to Rata Sum.
Yeah it’s bugged. I think only the condition duration from traits edit the tooltip. As a condition necro, my scepter 1’s tooltip says 5 and a quarter seconds, but the actual duration is more like 13.
I don’t mind Ascended gear to be honest. It looks to me like the stat boost is rather minor when comparing the stats to regular exotic gear. Actually I’m more annoyed that apparently I can’t slot sigils into them and for example my ranger is built to utilize Sigil of Fire.
Also both of my level 80 characters run mostly on masterwork (green) gear and I’m able to do even harder content like dungeons (i.e. Arah) just fine. I don’t really see the ascended gear changing that.
I’m more interested in their cool looks so I’m not going to start raging if something offers 10 points more in individual stats than exotic gear does currently.
People have thrown numbers between 8% to 60% increase over existing exotics. That’s a lot, hardly minor. Especially when you consider many people are already fully geared, and all that gear is about to become completely redundant.
In addition, you will eventually hit a roadblock with the new gear, as to how far in the dungeon you can go due to the agony resistance. Agony does ever increasing damage as more content is released.
So while you can do Arah in sub-par gear now, you won’t be able to do future instances, or complete the new one, without grinding out the new agony resistance, which as many have noted, takes an extremely long time.
So yeah, the new gear does make a difference, both in stats, and how everyone plays the game.
….. Need a page on reddit or something that has a summary of all the changes, and what it all means, rather then forcing people to sift through a soon to be 200 page thread to find information and clarification.
The daily sPVP is very easy to complete. Just gotta participate in 3 easy hotjoin matches really, the rest takes care of itself.
I could forsee a problem with people that
a) Don’t know what the top stat means, needs better wording.
b) Are bad at / dislike / have nfi how to do sPvP, having trouble getting the top stat. They could be there all day.
I must’ve only got top stat via capping the points, instead of running around fighting on roads.
GW2 has no
- in-game support
- account restoration nor plans for acceptable system (rollback only, no ETA)
- no reimbursement system even for colossal player losses caused by game bugs
- no dungeonfinder
- good dungeon mechanicYou forgot to mention there’s no loyal and happy fanbase.
Noes, what are you saying!
ANets most dedicated players just got their wishes fulfilles, after all, according to Chris’ post. Get your facts straight, man!-_-
So does that mean if I play the game 24/7 and spend $1000 on gems, they’ll listen to me because I’d then be a “dedicated player”?
Wait no, they still wouldn’t. I play the game for fun, not to grind mindlessly like a zombie.
GW2 has no

You forgot to mention there’s no loyal and happy fanbase.
Anet is trying to put out an mmo that pleases everyone.
No they’re not. Originally they wanted to be different, and not have a gear treadmill.
Now they’ve changed their minds, and are adding a gear treadmill to the disdain of thousands of players, which has put a bad taste in the mouths and many, and given them horrible publicity.
As someone posted in one of the many critical threads of this horrible idea, “The man that chases two rabbits, catches neither.”
Sea of Sorrows and Isle of Janthir are the two unofficial oceanic servers.
I’d assume that every server, with the exceptions of SoS, IoJ, SBI and JQ, are looking for more oceanics for WvW. Whether or not their night force is semi-competitive and/or organised is another question.
TLDR; SoS > IoJ > SBI > JQ > Every other server that’s LFM for a WvW nightcrew.
None, I couldn’t force myself to inflict the game on friends, it’s not in a state where it’s even a good idea for trials right now.
There isn’t even any guesting.
AFAIK trials get put onto your server, regardless of the server’s population, even if it is full 24/7. However, if your friend(s) bought the game instead of accepting the trial, they’re now stuck on backwater servers, and can’t play with you, unless you transfer to them. In which case, good luck getting back to your original server.
I’m well aware you can play with people in the overflow, but that’s the thing. I couldn’t actually get into an overflow to play with them.
+1 for adding in guesting.
I don’t do any sPvP, only WvW, but I might actually bother to do it now that they’ve added in the dailies.
It was a great idea. I just have nfi what “Top Daily Stat” actually means.
To all those reading;
Just because you have no interest in something, doesn’t mean it won’t affect you.
The more that sit idly by and watch, the worse problems get.
Sign in, post a reply, let your voice be heard and inform Anet that they’ve made a mistake.
Well there is the Monthly sPvP stuff to do as well, but not sure how many people will do it seeing as you have to win monthly tournaments.
Or did you mean better loot? I was expecting an account-bound Jug of Glory, or something of the like.
On a side note, what does “Top Daily Stat” actually mean. It was the only thing left I needed when I was doing the sPvP daily. I won a 2nd match, got the daily done, but had nfi how I completed it.
I don’t understand why they increased the cooldown on mesmer portal. I WvW in tier 3, and don’t see mesmer bombs every 60 seconds. May be different in higher tiers though.
However I’d expect that most organised and legit WvW groups would have more then 1 mesmer with them, thus making zero difference in the amount of portals actually going out, just only requiring a bit more work and co-ordination.
Only thing this has nerfed is how often I can drop a portal to help people trailing behind the main group to catch up.
There have been numerous other suggestions on how to nerf the portal without doing anything radical, but seems that none of them have been listened to. I agree they need to do something about it (imo making the portal’s effect much more pronounced, think pink explosion with doves or something coming out).
TLDR; Portals got nerfed, but nerfing didn’t solve any of the perceived problems with it.
The only part that’s “exciting” about ascended items is working out which game I should play now instead of Guild Wars 2.
Just leave for a while and play something else.
You’ll be back soon enough
Yep. When Arenanet realise ascended gear was the dumbest idea ever, and admit they kittened up and apologise.
Then people will come back.
I used up all 3 of my invites. One even bought the game instead of using the trial due to Anet’s confusing error messages.
After losing all faith in Anet, I 100% regret doing so.
I was planning on getting my necro to 80 tonight and making exotic gear for it. Then I read the filth they plan on implementing and thought “Why the kitten bother?”
Just the other night I was saying making a full set of gear 80 exotic gear, and knowing that it’ll last was one of the selling points of the game.
So less, if at all for me.
Why not just go take the keep of the team that’s doing the camping? That way they can’t get reinforcements down there, and if they die, they can’t get back in. Redirect a few more people after the keeps taken to wipe out the campers.
Problem solved.
Ok so, right now, if you’re in TC borderlands you’ll see a 40 man zerg PvDooring. Want to know why?
We just defended the garrison with a skeleton crew from both CD and Yak’s trebbing it at the same time, with breaches, and fending them off to the point where they completely gave up.
So we just get to karma train around our own borderlands, reclaiming what is rightfully ours.
Brilliant job to everyone defending, and a perfectly close matchup so far.
TC wins NA, Yaks wins Oceanic, and CD wins Euro.
Seems so far that Yak’s Bend has the best night crew. Waiting for CD’s night crew to log on and we’ll see what goes down.
Current scores are;
TC 4671 +280
Yaks 4164 +215
CD 4144 +220
I expect CD to pull ahead later on though, CD’s night crew always seems to turn up in force, but it will be interesting to see how they fair with 2 decent servers, instead of only 1 like last week.
Also if those guilds that do register write a post in this thread as well, that would be great. The more exposure for both guild and server, the better.
Well, so long as we don’t get the bandwagoners when we hit (or if we even get to) tier 1.
