Wow so expensive. lel didnt know it was that expensive if we’re counting all classes. But as a wvw player who roams alot and say makes a new toon, it was easier before. I thought they want this to do whatever you want take charge of your fun kinda game, but forcing these is kinda annoying I’m out of SP scrolls atm and I’m gonna be looking on farming them just to trait.

It’s been pointed out so many times.

Anet caused all this due to separating out NA and EU. People and guild were forced to believe they had to choose which one to go on. If they were american then NA, european then EU.

But then WvW is supposed to be a 24/7 battle, so what was the point in that. If you only have american in NA and european on EU, then at nights you will always have just a handful of players, with nothing going on.

As I posted back after free transfer were ended, anet need to monitor the activity of WvW on all servers. This way they can easily find out which server are inactive at given times, and which ones have long queues.
From this they can then offer free transfers from the busy server to the less active server to help balance everything out and make WvW a real 24/7 battlezone!

But as always this required anet to actually care about WvW, to spend time on it and actually help improve it!

What is the point of coloured tags now? Noone runs tags any more unless they want to run the server zerg, and you only need the one tag, the guild raid and small groups just run around tagless with a target on their leader!

Exactly. I agree with this post 100%. There was no reason to separate out the servers according to nationality/position on the globe. If they really want WvW to be a 24/7 battlefield, it takes players of all time zones. Although, a guild tag would totally serve a purpose. You can target the guild group leader all day long, but that won’t make them appear on your minimap.

Purrrrfect coverage is a problem with 24/7 setup.

I know this is a bit of a tall order of a suggestion. Besides EB, also good if we can get three different borderland maps with different placements of keeps/towers for red, green, and blue instead of three identical maps. Let’s say keep the old map then make another map with an Ascalonian tileset, and another one say a maguuma or Krytan tileset. Would be nice. Also ppt could use a little rework~

DR nightcrew does have a surprisingly high amount of females, enough that they run a ladies only Zerg with one of the DMD leaders leading it. We obviously perfer you are on teamspeak to hear whispers and such to know where everyone is going but we also post in map chat prior to switching. After transfers a lot of guilds don’t really use teamspeak. We do have it set up so all guilds can have thier own private room as well as a few central grouping/roaming rooms people can join to get people together. Typically nightcrews work in silence just taking all the keeps.

We moved here 4 months ago after an exhaustive search. DR was selected because it was the community that we felt would be the best fit for us and spoiler alert it has been.

Feels like a year now, like they’ve been part of us since forever. If you come here to DR you will feel home

we have tried a thief zerg of ard 10+ with shadow traps before it got nerfed it was fun lol. we also used ambush trap and thieves guild loads of fun.

Competition hooked me and I’ve been here for as long as i can remember. Also having a non-toxic community who do stuff together and organize stuff for fun helps to keep it exciting at least since wvw has been the same 24/7 since launch it gets stale and burns out alot of people.. Currently on T4 NA. Never switched servers but have thought of it once when we were losing hard but I stayed cause of the great people here.

we have females running at SEA time as well but definitely more of them during OCx. OC/SEA time aren’t very far off just around 2 hours difference. I’m SEA but I play EU nights since I work during EU time.

All I can say is good luck with dominated matchups, several weeks in a row and lets see how DR’s community stands.

We’ve actually hit a big GoM wall that’s been thrashing us for several weeks and we got through that fine. Win or lose the community is quite good here. People have been calling us “bandwagon” even before S2 tourney started, So that’s at least half a year already and it has no effect whatsoever on us. lol

Thats why the guilds that ask for us to bid for their services or demand we pay their transfers we turn them down. And only 2 of the guilds that came can field anywhere near 30 nonetheless 40. Most of the guilds we’ve gotten are 10 people at most. A couple of them have merged but we didnt get 10 guilds fielding 40 each.

OP, You do realize getting all these guilds doesnt guarantee anything, I wouldnt be surprised if we get a beating in T4. Bronze was pretty much dead before all this happened, which is why this happened. Most of the guilds we’ve gotten are from bronze servers who wanted something new and not dead match ups every week and want to see what it’s like at the top. You can also blame your own server for outnumbering and blobbing down every other server for 20 straight weeks. (im assuming you are from that server)

The game is dieing, and unless this new September update brings something major to the table for WvW, you gotta adapt for your server to be successful and stay alive, and that’s exactly what we did.

THIS IS NOT A MATCHUP THREAD…

The WvW community DESERVES a GENUINE response from the development team regarding the current state of competitive health of WvW.

Currently there is yet ANOTHER server making mass guild purchases… this server in question in the last 3 weeks has spent TENS OF THOUSANDS of gold to move in excess of 10 guilds to their server each with 30-50 man zergs.

This has stripped SEVERAL servers of their BEST guilds. If this continues, WvW will end up with 6-7 superservers and EVERY other server will be a graveyard…

How is this even REMOTELY good for the competitive health of WvW in GW2? Since when did a game that was based on free to play become pay to win in WvW?

I’d like to hear people’s thoughts on this topic. PLEASE keep this topic CIVIL and DO NOT turn it into a matchup thread. In particular I would like to hear SOMETHING from a developer regarding this even IF it is just saying “we are looking into it”.

I find it appalling that all a server has to do to win in WvW is whip out a credit card now…

I think the main reason DR can que maps unlike most servers is since we have most of our server using one central communication line that we all hop together as we typically try to paper things at same time rather then having everyone being disorganized and hitting 2 or 3 separate maps.

One of the issues most servers have is the lack of working together, if you have 2 keeps under attack you will fight over which one gets defended and most guilds will end up fighting over that. We all work to defend both rather then fussing over which one needs more help. We have several guilds that work closely with each other for defense and offense, rather then 1 giant guild. By having several guilds and several leaders it allows us to have assignments for each week to work towards a common cause which is to put up a great fight and have fun. We obviously want to win but losing a few times to a server doesn’t break us. We are aiming to climb and improve every week. So when we go against IoJ and CD sometime in the following weeks we won’t cry and give up if we lose once or twice. We will learn and adapt and hopefully be able to eventually win and move past the tier into next like we have done all the way to where we are.

We are climbing and growing by working together and building an unheard thing in this game called community. We are giving guilds a home that have been harrassed and abused on their current servers and not appreciated for what they were contributing. So the next time you go to a fellow server mate of yours and call him stupid or something rude just think that he doesn’t need to put up with you or your guild, he can transfer away and hurt you. The guy that stands in the runes and just tells you where the enemy is moving is useful even if he doesn’t know how to use his basic skills. Everybody in this game is useful in some way and doesn’t deserve to be put down. For to long larger guilds bullied roamers and other guilds for doing one thing or another so we offer a home to those guilds and tell them they don’t need to put up with being bullied anymore. We have taken guilds from all over for various reasons, whether that is because they wanted to move up with us in rankings, beat the guild that bullied them, or simply wanted a different play environment. We welcome them all. We are a place for people to come and enjoy the game for what is has to offer and let them play how they want to play, not tell them how to play and what to do.

This has convinced me. I’m tired of being a part of an unappreciated nightcrew, and not feel like I’m part of the community. I’m sick of not being able to play the way I want to play, being insulted for using my Spirit Ranger as a commander in WvW, despite my wealth of utility, water fields and lack of dying. I’m sick of being told to play for an arbitrary points tick; I just want to farm bags, I don’t care how I do it, I’d build 6 super ACs and 2 ballis if I have to. I’m tired being told continuously by my server to get on teamspeak, when all there is a cacophony of male voices and I can’t make head or tail what they’re saying. I’m sick and tired of hearing only male voices on teamspeak. Being such a wonderful community, I’m sure Devona’s Rest has attracted ample amounts of lovely ladies I can listen to on voice comms.

Looks like my guild and I, finally, have found a potential server that lets us do whatever the heck we want and not be segregated and belittled for it. #TeamDRftw

I’m just throwing out a thread for new suggestions about the commander tag:

-Quick hot keys for count and supply info
-Option to show the commander tag only to represented guild members.
-Editing colors so it doesn’t get confusing especially if there are one or two tags on map. (and no two same colors can be used in 1 map.)

Hello community: Need your suggestions also especially for the “Squad” functions as I currently can’t think of any. One thing I have noticed is anet listens to their players so I believe this will reach them. :P
