i changed my password for the lulz today, changed it maybe 2 times since launch.

never been hacked… password is stupid long random key, always copied pasted also have 2step auth, SMS auth, as well as gmail 2step Auth.

ive gotten a “you’ve successfully changed your guild wars password” email, every hour on the hour, 3 times now since changing password. from noreply@guildwars2.com

changed at 4:57pm, got email
then another at 5:57
another at 6:57
50minutes till i see if i get another

logged into game all 3 times with new password, all good.. why do i keep getting password changed emails.

i dont know how ppl play with all the crazy keybinds.. i just use the wasd (qe for strafe) to move. 123 on keyboard space to jump.

then i have the 12button naga mouse, f1234 is mouse wheel left right click and button behind wheel

then 4567890 on the side of the mouse. with the number 1 key on side mapped to right control for teamspeak.

i have a friend that plays ele and the keybinds they had for D/D was insane, shift clicks and such all over the place. not interested in early carpal tunnel.

as far as dungeons, pugging LFG dungeons can be a pain, and i know what ur talkin bout the AC burrows is a pain if ur not organized. i wont ever pug a dungeon, will only do with guild…

wvw.eotm.battlegrounds is not pvp. its world.vs.world. spvp is a blast once u understand the maps. win or lose, u play to get better.. msg me

forgot to add, so if u get a razer mouse, and it works fine, check forums, and dont update razer synapse software unless u know its stable and works. currently using my razer naga again… all is fine. keeping g600/g502 as backup.

i currently have a logitech g600, a 2014 naga, and a proteus g502… the way i play i prefer the 12buttons on the naga and g600.. although the proteus g502 feels best in ur hand.

f12345 are the mousewheel left right click and 2 buttons behind wheel.. 1key on side is teamspeak, rest is set to 234567890

i will say, the naga has the best feeling buttons on the side compared to the g600. BUT…. if the razer synapse takes a crap or glitches out, makes the mouse worthless. razer uses a cloud based driver setup, there was an update a bit ago, and all of a sudden the pointer went bananas, hopping clicking randomly 100% of the time. i thought the mouse died. so i bought the g600. very similair feel in hand, but ur ring finger was a little higher and an extra button on the g600.. soo took a bit to get used to, and disabled the g600’s ring finger button.

i love the way the g502 feels, but not enough buttons,the mouse wheel, is heavy and clunky. its either freespin, or mechanical, and it just doesnt feel right. and the 2 buttons that are to the left of you where ur pointer finger is, its almost like a rocker switch, is very inconvienent while playing, (at least in pvp where twitch movements apply)

depends on the class i suppose, i like power/tough/vital (have a spare set for warrior/guard) and power/precision/toughness (have a spare set for ranger). mostly zerker trinkets for them, with a couple PTV trinkets.

if u have any karma saved up you can get a free set from cursed shore, for 42k karma for each piece.

if ur thinking complete and total bunk/heals, i guess clerics or sentinels, guardian staff/mace/focus for dmg mitigation, or druid ranger staff for healspam.

im 50/50 wanting GW2 to go the way of needing dedicated backline, cuz i loved playing heal or prot monk in gw1, but it would probably be bad for gw2 unless they flatout make a monk class, which they wont.

is it the controller you want? or to play from couch on tv for bigger screen?

i dunno how you can say it doesn’t work worth a kittenz hooking up to tv, thats how i play, i dont have a computer monitor, or computer desk, i play on my 55" hdtv 1920×1080 and its beautiful. full screen/or windowed when i need to multitask (i7-4790k/ HD7870 GPU/ 8gig ram) max graphics.

i couldn’t imagine going back to playing on a regular monitor now.
i use mouse and keyboard. i tried the xpadder, and like others said, its just not enough. it could work for a general roaming PVE easy toon like war or ranger, anything that doesn’t rely on ground targeting, or fast twitch movement/rotates.
chatting in guild chat is a problem as well as inventory and stuff like that.

The way the staff is held (like a hammer) looks too aggressive in contrast to the more elegant characteristics of the Druid, and feels like my character is about to hit somebody over the head with it. Would greatly prefer it if the staff was held like an Elementalist.

can always set ur teamspeak PTT button to something on the keyboard, then just bind that key to your top mouse button wherever u want. i have the logitech g600 and i have my push to talk button set as letter Z… then i assigned my number 1 key on the mouse thumbpad (g9) to the letter Z. i was alwyas using keyboard for 1-3 skills anyway, use mouse thumb for 4 5 6 7 8 9 10….. when im on TS, i never use chat much, so very rarely do i spam zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in a chat box while talking…

seems like it was a conflict with avast web shields., reboot, turned shields off and on again, refreshed, and now all good. no viruse, no malwarebytes finds, so disregard.

i’d like to see number 2 and 2.5 added. im really starting to want to quit this game, i am definitely on the outskirts of RNG favor. after 2400+hrs, playing since beta, best drop i have gotten was Genesis, worth around 40gold, and teqs weapon box and that was just recently. other than that, its a literal handful of exotics worth less than 5gold… a bunch of rares just because i do the world bosses which are never worth morth than 30-40silver or so… while guildies are pinging pre’s /ascended trinkets/ ascended armor, weapon skins, and high value items i will never see, unless i just outright farm/sell blues/greens/rares/mats and buy it. i have zero hopes for a legendary. There is no surprise happiness when RNG doesn’t ever work in your favor, at least in my case, (aside from the 2 mentioned above in 2400hrs play time.). i had to buy thousands of coffers for a few of the jade weapon skin tickets….

so something mentioned about after x amount of crap drops, your good drop rate increases etc…..

i bought a second copy, and no code in email. just a link to register acct. funny though a guild mate bought a copy as well and instant code, and she has a second acct now… so if Anet doesnt plan to honor their screwup how bout throwin us a few character slots….

i ran the same setup on a 1080 res, and ran all max settings except shaders low aa low.. and had 50fps everywhere except LA and WVW… and even those were good until a complete huge zerg dropped me to 20fps. please do not let anyone tell you to waste money on an intel system, No i am not an AMD fanboy. i am speaking from experience, i ran the same amd 965black stock not OC, with the same gtx 550ti and had zero problems running the game at beautiful settings. i have recently upgraded to an fx 6300 and an hd 7850 card, and have not noticed much of a difference.

got mine at 6000 coffers, 2nd ticket at 7000.. so dont complain if u havent gotten one under 1000.. lol… theres a 20 page post on the coffer bullcrap;..

yeah rich ones are a waste of $, i bought all regular coffers and dont feel bad, read my post i had to pen 6000 before i got my 1st ticket, and luckily got a second at 7000 mark.

finally got my first ticket at 6000 Coffers.,,,, nothing but candy/fireworks and like 12 minis. then got a 2nd ticket at 7000coffer mark.

im happy i finally got the 2 skins i wanted, but this whole ordeal left a bad taste in my mouth, and will not be bothering with any future RNG.. i would rather just BUY THE kitten THINGS FROM THE GEM STORE…. good lord make it an option, im happy for those that received 1-5 tickets opening under 1000, you guys have great luck. me and many others do not.. and to the guy that keeps defending RNG, take a break from your soap box. you got a ticket in a reasonable amount of coffers. i however did not, took me 7000 coffers. many WILL NOT get one. and that is sad. i am not a child, i am in my 30’s and when i tell you most people want the skins for THEIR chars, not to be ELITE because it is rare. i dont care how many ppl have the same skin as me, i am building my chars how i want them. do not say rng is great because it makes it rare. now, i will not say it is a stupid design to have rng boxes, i will however say it is a bad design to not give us other options that are guaranteed to reward us so we may work torwards it. i dont care if i have to farm 100,000 candy.. as long as i know going in i wil get one for the effort…

good thinking, we just managed to stay out of the hecticness of the room by staying by the entrance avoiding the sparks, i was the guardian so conditions werent really an issue

we just did this in 4 minutes,

for anyone having trouble, yes the room can get hectic, sooo..

at the entrance to where he is standing there are 2 poison traps that almost overlap.

have everyone stand around there, let him come to you. dmg until he takes -0- dmg.

use guns on the 2 poison traps and let him come to you, he will trigger traps and rinse repeat.

disclaimer: we did this 3 times in a row and the 2 poison traps were there all 3 times.
so if they do in fact change pattern, please correct me, but simply put, stack your party on a couple poison traps and do the same thing. runnin around the room scattering will do no good.

same here.. finished sab swapped chars and now network error on every char at char selection screen.

a 32bit operating system, be it vista/7/8 whatever can only see/use 4gig of ram. a 64bit OS can use alot more. 4 should be enough for you, i have 8gig ddr3 and i never use more than 3gig doin alot of stuff.

what brand of PC do you have. FYI most shelf computers are running a smaller than regular case and only fit a micro atx size mobo. and sometimes the screws are even diff to deter upgrading. that m5a97 is a full size ATX board.

if your upgrading your proccessor, make sure your power supply can handle it.

google cpuid and dload that it will tell you your exact mobo so you can google it and see what processors are supported. because if you decide to just drop a phenom 2 quad core in a board that can only handle 95watts you’ll fry it, and im betting your stock mobo will top out at 95watts.

NO, you woul dnot have to reinstall winows.. what is gonna happen is if you get a new mobo and new CPU, when you plug it all in with your current harddrive with windows vista, it may give an error about validating windows, in which case you need to just call microsoft support and bullkitten lie about, etc my HD crashed i needed to reinstall need help activating, they will activate it no problems..

i was running amd 965 3.4 black editon, NOT OVERCLOCKED, with the same gtx 550ti and was running all max settings except shaders on low, and reflections to off. and was getting 50+FPS everywhere except wvw zergs and huge events. an intel build for this game is a waste IMO.. i have recently upgraded to a FX 6300 vishera and an HD 7850 gpu, (and gave my g/f all my old parts fro her pc) and run ALL maxed out settings 50fps+ everywhere. a wvw zerg will drop your FPS no matter what you are running. so dont waste the money. an 8350 is a waste of money. my fx 6300 runs 3.5ghz, i can overclock the hell out of it if i want, but i dont need to. i get 20-30fps+ in zergs.. so buy an asus m5a97 mobo and an fx 6300, should cost you 220$ish i didnt use the stock cooler, i run a hyper 212. and my pc never gets over 40c maxing gw2 for hours…

are you watching the cpu and gpu usage while your playing?

dont know how your getting such a bad FPS, im running AMD fx 6300 vishera, 8gig ram, and radean 7850 (20 minutes ago i was runnin gtx 550ti, new GPU in mail today) but i am getting 50+FPS everywhere excpet zergs on all maxed out settings.. auto detect puts me maxed out on everything, but i drop reflections and shaders for the hell of it..

ok so the tooltip just does not reflect the actual number, i admit i did not sit there and time the skills. was just reading through all the descriptions in the traitlines and noticed nothing changing on the tooltip when u swap in the specific trait.

So i was reworking my build for pve/dungeons, and was about to use “blade training” +50precision and recharge sword skills by 20%.. sounds great right? i love sword focus. as well as sword sword. but turns out the recharge only affects skill 2, and has no affect on offhand sword.

so i started looking and it is the same for the pistol skill, you only get 2 skills with pistol, and recharge only affects skill 5. same thing with the greatsword, only affects skill 3 and 5

is this because the unaffected skills are generally phantasms and since i already have more than 5 points in illusions i already get the 20% recharge on summons? so recharge is capped at 20%?

are the skills still worth taking just for the added bonus to prec or power?

thats just it, i do change it up.. aside from the daily cof’s we are all over the place. as well as leveling alts, and running diff chars for diff situations.. ah well.. i will have to be content with cornering the market in blues…

Really really sick of how much the RNG hates me. do daily dungeons, cof/coe/se, some fractals, jump puzzles, events, alot of everything. all i ever get is stinking blues. with or without magic find, does not matter. run with 2 other guild mates on all these runs, they always get cores, rares at least 1 every run. blue used to be my favorite color until gw2…

too lazy to post all the links, but that will get you almost max level graphics. i choose auto detect and everything is maxed except shaders at medium, and reflections terrain/sky which i turn off anyway. 35-40FPS in busy places, 50-75FPS in open world such as norn hills where not alot of stuff going on, Yes you will lag in wvw zergs, but 40-50fps in just normal roaming. this is my experience, as im running that same setup although im using a gtx 550ti card. so yes it can be done for 400$ dont let people tell you it cant. Hell my g/f 1st gen i3 530 dual core and gt430 card can do medium settings over wifi with no problems. Dont be afraid to build your own PC, its easy.

Only trick is when you plug in your harddrive with windows on it, you will have to call and ask the microsoft rep to re-register windows, just say you did a reinstall and need activating, ive never had a problem with someone ever saying no.

some USA, couple UK ppl, all on jade quarry USA home server. We have a Teamspeak 3 server and use it daily, i am usually always on when i am logged in.

We do Dungeons, storymode and/exp speedclears, mainly COF and COE, we explore pve, do jump puzzles, farming a bit here and there, most of us are leveling alts so we are all over the place and generally available to help. We have alot of guild upgrades and have buffs up most of the time.

We welcome people new to the game as well as veterans, so rather than post a long wall of text which i basically already have, if you are tired of the empty guilds, as well as the 400+member guilds where you are a ghost in the crowd, come join us, we do not demand 100% repping time, you are free to rep other guilds and bounce back and forth. nice info, i read alot of good reviews on the 8350, or possibly the 6300 since i dont need that many cores and it would run cooler so i may just go for that, and upgrade gfx later, im running the hyper 212 cooler currently, my 965 never breaks 50c playing gw2 what is the max operating temp of the 8350/6300 vishera? i have an older case given to me from an IT guy at work, but its huge and has 2 fans in front, 2 in rear, tons of air and side fan removed for the hyper 212 to fit. 20×20×8ish

ty for the detailed reply, .. the fx 8350 is a drop in chip for my mobo, but 8 cores is not needed if the single thread is still weak. the 7770 gpu is higher up on the teir, but maybe not worth it at the moment, will probably do a complete new build in a couple months

appreciate the replies, i debated on just goin intel but spending 400-500 for new 2500k/3550k+mobo but for just a few fps its not worth it, even reading alot of posts about i7’s running way worse than mine i think i should consider myself lucky to get 50-70fps most places almost maxed settings,

my other question, was the hd 7770 an upgrade or a lateral move, its a decent card, and i could give the 550ti to my g/f.

stupid screenshots didnt include the task manager running beside the windowed game, but in LA 80% cpu on each core. 60% on each core for the norn area.

Looking for a little bit better FPS, or just maxing appearence settings with steady FPS.

22"monitor i usually play windowed sometimes fullscreen 1920×1080

using autodetect settings i get mostly all high settings, and i turn off AA, and turn off Post processing. also medium shaders/shadows, i get a good 45-70fps in most areas, which is great. problem is i get 20ish in LA and more busy zones such as cursed shore, 20-30. wvw i get 40-60 open roaming unless in a zerg etc.

in lower populated zones like norn areas, i can max all settings and get 40-50fps, but nowhere near that if any activity starts happening, like events, big groups, towns.

i would say im doing pretty good with my gtx 550ti, but it recommends at least an hd 7770 according to that if i want to up my fps in the areas im having trouble with running 1920×1080. the last page comparison gave cpu limitations but do not have my cpu listed, only junk FX chips.

so question is, would the 7770 be a lateral move in a card or would it be an upgrade? 114 on newegg at the moment, the 7870 is double the price, and im afraid it may be overkill. Yes i know GW2 is poorly optimized and CPU intensive, my 965 does great under 50% load runnin gw2 at almost max settings everywhere 40-70fps but those few areas, so i think a bump in the gpu would help.

so dont send a crash report, no big deal, but crash reports include region/location/hardware etc.. helps them fix their junk

i run my traits at 0/15/30/20/5 15 in radiance to get the recharge virtue on kill, blind/burn etc.. and run my own variant from brutalities hammer altruistic healing build. i use hammer, or GS, with mace/focus 2nd set for dungeons, my crit is around 40% chance, heal burn blind repeat, running basically a CoF armor set, but transmuted to vigil looks.
