JQ was Tier 2 for a week while ET/SBI dueled HoD. In the ET/SBI/HoD match it saw HoD flip a 40k deficit to a 40k lead in 24hours~.

JQ has been top 3 throughout the history of mmo.millenium’s records. Those records include all but about the first month after the game was released. In that first month, there was all kinds of craziness in the ratings, along with people leveling chars, running through all of the PVE content, and figuring out how to play their classes. If you want to knock on JQ because they weren’t in T1 throughout all of that craziness, then you are missing the point. After things settled down, JQ never dropped below 3rd place.
Also, to respond to the guy pointing out that JQ has 54 medals to the EU server’s 55, if you add up the total medal count for the EU servers, they add up to 165. The NA servers’ total medal counts add up to 162, so for whatever reason, the EU count includes an extra week. Thus, you can conclude that JQ has actually been top 3 for at least 54 weeks.
Are you trying to say 1 week matches dont count? Because for every server, those were the real deal when they were announced (SBI/JQ/ET claimed 1 and 3 day matches were too random — 1 week didnt help them either). That is when WvW really started, and JQ just happened to be T2 in one of the very first 1 week matches. Also there wasn’t actually much craziness. What you remember is inflated scores, but the scores got nerfed eventually. JQ/CD/DB happened because DB and CD pushed themselves to T2, JQ got put in T2 by HoD. SBI/JQ/DB happened because DB was actually winning most of its matches, and SBI/JQ were fighting HoD and subsequently losing. It was all based on ranking however, guru was even predicting matches back then.

I think you’ll agree that is simply not true. Though I have no idea why you specifically are taking it like being in T2 has tarnished JQ somehow.
That is due to randomized matchups. Just because JQ was in a T2 matchup doesn’t mean their ranking based on their rating had fallen below 3rd. JQ was below 3rd in the early days of GW2 before the ratings had a chance to settle. No, it isnt. This screenshot is from a time when randomization did not exist. Your ranking decided where you placed. The SBI/JQ/DB match is from 3 day matches (yes, ranking placement existed), and the JQ/DB/CD match is from 1 week matches, pretty sure it was the very first or second one.
If you really want to know how this works. There was 4 1/2 T1 servers: HoD, JQ, SBI, ET (NSP), and BG was getting beat on by HoD every once in awhile even though they didn’t have the population to be there. The first screenshot it was HoD/NSP*/BG I’m pretty sure and the second screenshot was HoD/SBI/ET. Ask the people who have been on your server since the beginning.
*I don’t remember when AA transferred off of NSP, I want to say it was during 3 day matches though.
It has to have fallen to 4th or lower at some point, Total Medals for JQ is 54, the EU counterpart has 55. That means at the very least since medals started being handed out (for 1, 2 or 3) JQ didn’t recieve one of them.
JQ has been down to T2 at least 2 times legitly (ranking), I was there for those.

And iirc, we were on BG bl last night (not EB) and destroying GoF and other BG guilds (w/ and w/o ONE fighting with us). The only plus side to last night was when Agg came on the map and we actually got some real fights.

I seem to remember oPP spawncamping about 8-10 RISE + FA pugs last time you were in the matchup. You guys get better or something? This glass house chest thumping is confusing.
If necros are so OP, why do i see about 5 enemy necros at most a week? OP for zergs, only because of the 10+ guardians buffing and keeping them up no?

No condition build can beat that. Now a stun warrior might be able to do a lot of damage, but any properly built necro is going to have around 25-26k hp. It takes a lot more than a single hundred blades to kill you. Add on fears, chill, cripple, deathshroud, and all your condition dps… there’s not really much any melee is going to be able to do.
Not many Necro roamers because of the movement speed, at least in T1. Too many zergs you have to dodge to be so slow.
I’ve already bought a finisher, the SAB one. Besides finishers idk… maybe guild emblems or something? There’s not really a whole lot of them. End up seeing a lot of the same ones in WvW. Biggest problem my guild had with emblems was most of them were almost invisible on guild armor. There’s only a few that really look great, because of bold/thick lines that make them stand out.
I don’t think its OP it just has bugs (that work with and against the ranger). My favorite is having nothing but ranged weapons equipped, getting hit by it, and then having no way to attack it because for whatever reason the roots are behind you.
SBI and Mags got FA… either one could leech enough points to put themselves into gold. So while you unintentionally get points from TC, they also have the possibility of gaining a lot if they do well.
Indeed, the sheer number of bandwagon guilds and players lookin to be carried who stacked onto BG, it’s probably difficult to track who is who at this point.
If a NA guild wanted to be carried, they’d join SoR. If a SEA guild wanted to be carried, they’d join JQ. Now tell me again why the BG guilds would’ve gone to your server. I know it’s hard, but try thinking before you post.
Personally Tier 1 servers should just be given their own WvW meta and let the other servers play between themselves that way those that want to blob and win can blob and win and everyone else can play a more European WvW style.

Blackgate has been at the top of the NA pile for a while now, even after losing X amount of merc last week, BG still beat JQ by 30K. After complaining JQ was stacked.
For some of the BG posters on here – they act like chicken little.
You dont have to win everyweek, its ok to come 2nd once in a while. The world will continue to turn.
Nothing changed on SoS that week, if anything SoS had better coverage than the previous weeks with the addition of VoTF and ND.
Now I do not even care who wins T1, I go out into WvW to play with my guild and have fun killing dudes. But I’m not going to let somebody stay ignorant when this has happened before.

Must be because MERC moving over to Jade Quarry left JQ completely stacked, while BG setting up war chests and recruiting guilds by the dozen over the last months does nothing.

I’m not so sure that the kinds of winning merc and tkg are seeking have the ability to mean something..

What I don’t understand is why MERC is getting so much hatred and was even called bandwagoners for transferring to JQ. However, when Aco/Ward transferred to SOR, no one really complained about it. Hypocrite much?

That was the intention as I wanted to leave on a high note, yeah I did transfer last night. Its kinda disgusting though that the second that we leave that a lot of the leadership of blackgate turned feral, you wouldn’t have been in T1 if it wasn’t for our help and the way ICoa (Kin), KnT (Rid) and TMD (Choc) has reacted has effectively burnt all bridges. Nice to know all of the hours we put in got turned around so quickly.
From the reaction given to us not 6 hours in I know what server I’ll be focusing in Oceanic and late PST. No sympathy, I would’ve told you in channel but Choc banned me for a false rumor that was spread around in LA and has been continued to have been spread to make the war council feel satisfied with themselves.

As a roamer, I love the capture points and the buff. I don’t particularly care about having the stat bonuses, but the stomp points are amazing. It really helps the servers who do not like to map zerg and have good roamers. It was pretty funny watching the other 2 servers zerg points with 40 and then lose their points elsewhere while they did that.
It’s like the t1 servers don’t understand that leagues are coming out.
This is not even close to T1 exclusive, go check out the servers expected to be the top of silver league. It’s like you don’t even understand its 6 months later and you can stop being bitter.
Not at all. Either you don’t know what your server is doing, or you’re trying to play innocent. That’s fine, like I said, the rest of us know what is going on.
However, if a guild really wants to join your community and you really want them to be apart of that community are you going to say no? I think every server can agree they want a good stable community and if another guild wants to be apart of that who are we to judge that they cannot? Its easy for other servers to judge other servers on there recruitment, but when its the other way around. Things tend to change.
We don’t care what you do with your money, but let’s not lie here, every server knows what you’re doing.
Just so you all know what RATS is composed of, the majority are up leveled Asuran characters. So, if you get steamrolled by an upleveled group of new to WvW players being trained, there may be an issue at hand
You might need to participate in one of SoR’s counting workshops. The majority of that zerg was not upleveled. There might have been a lot, but I tabbed through and found maybe 10-15 uplevels.

I actually agree with many of the points that you mentioned, but frankly, this goes both ways. At least in T1NA, a lot of the GvG guilds basically insult anyone who doesn’t GvG.
My guild has done some GvG before, but as a former GW1 guild, most of us are of the opinion that the current GvG is basically just a pale shadow of what it was. Now this isn’t the fault of any GvG players out there, but when other guilds claim that we are bads, or afraid to fight them because we don’t want to play their way, that’s when we have a problem.
So the bottom line is, I understand where you are coming from, and that GvG players get a lot of crap for what they are trying to do, but remember, that goes both ways. GvG players are quite frankly throwing stones from glass houses in a lot of cases when they make fun of the way other guilds wish to play, just keep that in mind.
I believe this to be the same opinion of many in T1 NA (that do not GvG). I had no idea SF was seeing the same hostility though.
Pretty disappointed to see AoI running 60+ and not breaking up into a couple groups after the first 10 minute rush on reset but I guess if that’s how deep your guild runs more power to you.
I don’t know if you knew, but we had 2 sometimes 3 commanders on the map. AoI, JINX, and a MAD commander I think it was… so we were in fact split into a couple groups. There was also about 15 roamers running around in the south. I think AoS (JQ) can verify that, they started chasing me on sight.
Also, who cares about the treb. You had the map. I doubt the tower was that hard to take anyway given the timezone.

I think Indo is making us do FOTM 5 next week. We struggled mightily to get through the first 4. TW will likely take the week off as it will truly require the whole team to handle this.
