Im in the same boat. I have a level 50 mesmer whom I HATE playing. I started with her, moved to ranger, which I love, and now when I try to level my mesmer it is SOOOOOOO SLLOOOOOWWW that I get bored within about 20 minutes and log off. Please tell me it gets better, faster, etc. Im using GS and Staff, as recommended…. shattering clones, etc. (Which, coming from GW1 I absolutely detest that clones are necessary – I wish they were weapon linked with an option to play without them and do more direct damage.)
I am EXCLUSIVELY PvE – and I see how they would be good in PvP, but, IMO the ‘clone mechanic’ is fairly broken against Enemy AI. They still go after me and pretty much ignore my clones, even when I keep my direct damage minimal. Sigh. I was a primary mes in GW1… totally different class I understand, but then, the profession should have been different IMO. I miss my old Mezzy.

I also agree that its kind of funny to show them on Horses when you cannot find a single horse in game. LOL
No. The most money you will get off of any MF gear is either selling the runes to some poor schmuck on the TP or salvaging the gear its on. MF is broken.

Seems so…. seems almost any higher jumps are now more difficult. Even in Jumping Puzzles.. I’ve found alot of things to be a bigger pain in the a…. err, more difficult.

Trying to transmute the Duelist armor off my lower level pieces to slightly higher ones (Not maxxed) and NO stone is allowing it to be transmuted at all. (It was transmuted once before) It doesnt make the ‘Accept Transmutation’ button available – it remains greyed out even if all choices are made.
Anyone else having this issue – tried with a basic stone (Since neither piece is lvl 80) and for the heck of it, I tried a fine stone. NEITHER allows you to approve the transmutation.

They SHOULD be separate. IMO, PvP’rs and PvE’rs play for VERY different reasons and enjoy the game for different reasons. Forcing them to play the opposite for achievements only serves to make them dislike the opposite more.
I am not interesting into playing the game for fun.
^ Then why play or worry about the Amulet? I guess I can never understand why people want to log on to purely farm for an item they arent ENJOYING while they PLAY for FUN. Oh well… I get my dailies as I play with friends. Usually without thinking about it. But, I just got todays in about 20 minutes in Queensdale completely, without really rushing.
Yeah, this is an out of hand issue – sometimes they jump WP’s so fast its next to impossible to click on them to report. We stood outside of Ebonhawke one night reporting bots who were showing up at the WP for a split second, only to disappear and then reappear again seconds later. Its crazy…

I dont think its jealousy at all. I personally at this point don’t like ANY of the Legendaries. The ranger usable ones are a joke, IMO. Maybe its moreso the kind of people who usually run around thinking they are flaunting them? LOL THOSE kind of people get annoying, because most people such as myself are totally unimpressed and they get kitten when everyone isn’t drooling.
IMO The Greatswords look like those huge weapons you see in the VAST MAJORITY of Asian MMO’s – oversized and kind of out of place. More funny than anything you are impressed by.
The Legendary Shortbow??? Cmon. Who wants that? Big eyeroller there.
So, I disagree, has NOTHING to do with jealousy. If the Legendaries I have seen were all karma weapons, I wouldn’t have spent it on a single one of them – YET. Maybe Anet has some others coming – I sure hope so. Id eventually like the Legendary ‘Achievement’ but Im not getting one of the current ones as filler – if Im going to bust my butt and spend that kind of gold, I want one I really like alot.

The animations still appear to be bugged. You pull the weapon out, and its all shiny/swirly but when you USE the bow – the animation disappears and does not come back even when you switch weapons, or put the bow away. You have to entirely unequip the Bow and then put it back on.
Any idea when this might be fixed???
I see nothing wrong with jumping walls and checking out areas for fun – but to use it to benefit, yeah, thats an issue. Outposts, etc… why not. Explore, get cool screenies, play hide and seek (Which is a blast!) But for chests? Nope. Bad bad.
Im curious if the longbow is the only one with the issue, or the shortbow as well…
Seems like people have been asking for months. Im about to choose my first Ghastly weapon, and my concern is that since October people have been reporting this as a bug, yet there seemed to be no responses or information.
Is the longbow stuck the way it is? Or will we see a fix coming?

I hope we see an answer – and I hope Anet understands that the people who put the supplies in to MAKE the EL tonics pretty much are guaranteed to purchase the minis, moreso than the person who Crafted them. So, to have this be ‘chance’ is in pretty bad form.
I could have used my supplies to craft minis, therefore spent LESS at the Gemstore. BUT, I used my frames on tonics, so I planned on PURCHASING all the minis.
^ Having the combo drop a Golem is kind of a slap in the face. The Dolyak was better even, for me particularly since I cant stand those Golems. Hated the Mox tonic in GW1, and this one does nothing for me either. =/ REALLY hoping to hear an official word on this one.
I wonder if Anet can confirm the Endless Toymaker is the intended result, or random? If its random, its pretty crappy seeing what most people invested to make them NOT TO MENTION those SAME people are likely shelling out cash to the Gemstore to BUY the minipets.

Really? I was a primary Mesmer in GW1 going into this game WANTING to LOVE Mesmer. I stopped at level 47 out of boredom, and moved onto another profession. =/ I just can’t see it, and cannot imagine what would make it anymore fun.

Way more should be done when its CLEAR it was absolutely an account hack. They could fix it in GW1. I’d be seriously pissed if this happened to me.
HoD is a ghost town. Im still there due to friends, but, it IS time for a merge. Its a sad sad state over there, and I agree – I rarely log on anymore, for several reasons, but the server being so underpowered that NO ONE PLAYS ON IT is a huge reason its bad. Too many people to jump entirely still – but, Im at the point where Im close.
I would have. Now I wouldn’t. I LOVED GW1, and LOVED GW2. But, since hitting 80, and now Fractals, there is little to do for the casual player. God forbid you get ‘behind’ on Fractals – everyone who plays is ahead and the majority won’t downscale for a lower level. Mapchat is nothing but LFG spam. Orr is dead. Doing a new character is nothing but hairpulling repitition – if I have someone new come, I have to do the same crap over, and over…. again. I can’t reply the great story missions.
SO many reasons to love this game, all of which are kind of being pummeled and buried by the things Ive found to NOT love it.

Go to the new island? Where there is nothing but Drakes and Karka and the drops pretty much suck? And why? To run around with no real mission or purpose HOPING maybe something NON-blue will drop? Naw.
Play my Mesmer I started first? I won’t even GO there. XD Its like trying to kill an enemy with a pillow. You beat them up until they die of boredom.
Start another character? And repeat everything I did before? Exactly as it was since story missions are few and far between in the grand scheme of leveling?
Sigh… Im bummed. I want to love the game again, and be excited to play.
Im not even amped about Wintersday since I already KNOW everything thats truly fun and desirable will be cash shop only, and the gem exchange rate is brutally horrible right now.
Oh well…. I can’t recommend it at this point. I hope I can in the near future.
Overall, considering the tiny percentages, MF Gear is Laughably overpriced… and not worth it. I have full MF, and ‘Luck’ on Weps, but, I see ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE when using it as compared to my non MF gear. (Full Travelers Set) Oh well. Waste of gold and upgrade slots IMO.
I have to agree with the OP. I was logging on for the social aspect, if anything, but Fractals killed mapchat in Lions Arch. Now I just don’t log on as much, because chat in LA now consists of ‘LFG LFG LFG’. Sigh….
I love the game, its gorgeous. But GW1 was a more fun game to play over a long period of time.
Why?
You could replay missions/storyline for something to do. And the Bonus Missions for completion/titles was fun.
More variety of things to do.
Easier to group up with friends, since we still lack guesting.
Mesmers. What is called Mesmer now isn’t nearly as great as the original class.
I think GW2 is beautiful. I love the world, I just am not enjoying playing IN it as much anymore. Most places are ghost towns, while LA has become the ToA of GW2… (LFG LFG LFG)

Loot is pretty ugly right now. Sadly enough. With full Magic Find and Luck, its still pretty painful – not enough to keep me at the new island killing the same two enemies over and over for the drops that are dropping. About 10 minutes of that and you’re ready to shoot yourself in the foot. Karka, Karka, Karka, Drake, Drake, Karka, Karka, OH WATER! Shark, Shark, Drake, Drake, Karka, etc etc etc. =/ And, wow. I got a vial of blood and a few common weps. Sigh.
Bigtime. BEING in LA is annoying now with all the LFG LFG LFG LFG. I wish there were a party channel – would be nice. Turn them all off. Im not a fan of Fractals, or how the world has evolved since the release. It feels like the final blow to an already dying server (HoD) Its dead. Everywhere but in LA. Sigh…. I thought Id never leave HoD, even after the mass exodus, but its looking to be about that time.
