This trait is definitely a diamond counter and is absurdly OP in a 1v1 situation however only against a certain type of build but borderline useless in teamfights. Learn to pick fights or adapt to a well-rounded build if you want to stand a chance against all builds available out there.
Personally, I doubt I’ll use it much. I don’t really want to tank my damage for such a situational perk, but I don’t have a problem with the skill per se.
I have bigger issues. Sometimes, when pvping, I’ll go up against someone and I’ll be bursting them down and then, suddenly, get this… they turn INVISIBLE!
I mean, whhaaaaat!? So OP. No counterplay. Unbalanced. Nerf pls.
About that new necromancer heal doesnt it steal health? I mean you say that the new heal is bad and that diamond skin is overpowered why not just use your new heal steal health 1 or 2k and bam diamond skin aint taking effect.
Wasting my heal, given my profession has some of the worst sustain in the game, just to overcome your passive effect seems kind of unbalanced.
Of course any scenario where Necro doesn’t immediately melt face and have a heal left over for afterwards is ‘unbalanced’. You’re not ‘wasting’ the skill, you’re using it for effect.
Don’t expect a lot of sympathy if you have the capability to win an encounter but refuse to use the appropriate skills on principle.
I can partially agree there, but you haven’t seen Skyhammer frustration until you see an Engineer who builds and slots skill specifically for it. Also, break the glass and pull cheese gets old fast.
Sure, it’s a cheap move. Being a huge Huttball fan (best pvp map ever), I guess I’m used to being instagibbed by CC like that. It’s not like there’s no counterplay, or only certain classes have access to CC.
It is what it is. Unless a balance issue inherently advantages one team over another (like an asymmetric map), I don’t have a problem with it.
As someone who mains ele, I could complain that everything is OP, but instead I just rolled something viable.
I prefer rdps, so I demand maps where people stand on their own little platforms and shoot each other. No-one should be able to melee dps me or I will QQ and ragequit. No-one should be able to use stealth, because I can’t see them so that’s not fair. No AI/minions either, and no builds that can outheal my dps.
Different classes have different strengths and weaknesses. Some classes have good CC, some have stability, some have stealth, and some have none of the above but instead have more power/conditions/support. Similarly, different PvP maps will suit different classes and playstyles. Skyhammer suits crowd control builds, so play CC or position yourself better.
Play the game that’s in front of you, not the one in your head.
you were dueling someone and you beat him while he`s on downed state you are trying to finish him and someone else takes advantage of your low health and defeats you
completely annoying and useless in PvP.
Wasn’t useless for that guy, was it.
Does the cultural armor from pvp count towards the Empreror title?
Apparently not but I suspect that will change in the future.
Where is this npc? Is it the regular ones?
There are two. The main guy is with the other gear vendors, the Wintersday guy is in the middle.
T3 cultural from the PvP vendor goes for 60,000 glory + 60 gold. You’re saving 59g from PvE vendor price (~60), so 60k glory = 60 gold or 1k glory/gold.
T1 & T2 are daylight robbery. T2 saves you 3.6g for 40k glory at 11k glory/gold. T1 is worse, paying 1.38g for 20k glory at an outlandish 14.5k glory/gold. If you were making 300 glory/game, that’s roughly a return of 1 gold per 50 games, or 2s/game. These days you get 12.5s for losing a soloQ (plus glory).
20 slot bags convert at about 1k glory/gold, but the other bags are worse. Giant Wintersday Gifts currently go for 2s on the TP (falling). At that price they’d be 1k glory/gold although you lose the TP cut of 10%.
Glory/Gold Conversion
T1 cultural: 14,500
T2 cultural: 11,111
T3 cultural: 1,017
20 slot bag: 1,000
18 slot bag: 1,333
12 slot bag: 3,333
Giant Gifts: 1,111 (?)
The road to PvP glory is paved with the tear-stained pelts of Care Bears who inadvertently wandered into the Mists. Blame poor signage.
Trash talk is the best part of PvP IMO. At least until someone programs AI that will QQ at you in pidgin English for the duration of its respawn timer. So instead of trying to ruin the fun for those of us who enjoy the real PvP meta, just learn how to use the filter features that are already provided for you.
I think I am just going to start reporting ALL verbal abuse I see, regardless of source. There’s simply no other way to combat this nonsense.
It’s not your job to police other people’s personalities. Also, I doubt you’ll get much traction abusing report when you could just use the block feature as intended.
I’d just be happy if they gave me an option to turn off all chat from players on opposing teams. I would still get the occasional after game trash talk, but it would make it a little less annoying.
Try turning off map in your chat filter or creating a custom tab for PvP.
