We waited 4 months for this and what we got is sadly underwhelming. This is the fractal and the story which the developers had claimed to be at par with the Fall of Abaddon?
I just can’t see how this fractal is interesting in any level. The story is bad, once again we get more boring badly written Trahearne 2.0 aka Scarlet and no dragons. The whole level design isn’t compelling or amazing at all.
What makes it even worse is that we were told this fractal was worth it and that it would surprise. This is sad and a lost opportunity for us to see more about the dragons and be surprised in a positive way by Anet.
This is a let down, as soon as I finished the story fractal I turned off the PC and I don’t know when I’ll feel compelled to try it again, it is just a materialization of the bad parts of the LS all condensed in one update, without even mentioning the re-skinned cultural armor.
:(
First off it’d be better to have both shield and focus good rather than having to nerf focus just to make shield almost good. Focus 5 should stay where it is.
Guardian’s shield is relatively useless based on the recharge times and effectiveness of the skills. Shield of judgment should be more easily able to provide protection to allies. The damage is neglible (it should be increased by at least 50%) and a further effect should be added. The cone effect is garbage to be honest and should never have been programmed to be a cone.
Shield 5 should have no cast time and no root. However a 1/4-1/2 cast time could still work. Then instead of a second skill just make the skill heal for the same amount over the 4 seconds its active.
I would prefer if the shield was at least able to give aegis as there are too many traits that use it and almost no way to get it.
I dont think that switching skill 5 between shield and focus would make the focus weaker but actually rather stronger for what its real use should be. Ideally a shield is a weapon for close quarter combats ( unless its a tower shield) and the focus is a weapon for casters at long range. Thus giving the shield a better skill for melee fights would encourage its use with swords and maces and giving the focus a bubble that blocks projectiles would encourage its use at range with the scpeter. This way both weapons become better at what they are supposed to do
why not add to Shield #4 a 1 or 2 seconds daze and maybe increase the damage? or reduce the CD at least 50%
Those would actually be good changes
This is the only thing I hear in support of the shield as it is right now. Personally if I could choose between 1 skill to push people off cliffs with a very high recharge rate or an overall stronger and well rounded weapon with 2 useful skills in most situations I would choose the latter.
Granted it’s between weak and useless in 95% of PvE but very good in PvP and WvW
Knocking people of ledges is all fine yes – but really #5’s best feature is that it’s a 0 cast-time interrupt which you can actively use to negate any big attacks you see coming as well as an ally anti-stomp mechanism.
The fact it absorbs projectile’s and heals too is just icing on the cake. All it really needs is a slightly reduced cooldown ( and a blast finisher would make it perfect )
Maybe? I think it should lose the rooting in place and add some actual defense against melee. I much rather have it granting me aegis which is a certain block than have an interrupt that isnt guaranteed and then goes into a very long cool down
I tried mace and shield a couple of weeks ago to replace Staff as the secondary weapon to heal up. In the middle of a zerg, they give a better performance than Staff. Sure I don’t have an access to swiftness, but I think it’s worth the tankiness that mace and shield provide. And no, I don’t run a healing power build.
Shield is fine for me. I don’t mind some lil buffs if a lot of people think it’s weak; but I would not give up Shield 5 for Focus 5. Especially if it’s like what OP mentioned above; no damage output and 2 blocks. I mean, seriously?
I would love my shield to do what shields are supposed to do: block attacks, I much rather block the next 2 attacks thrown at me than have a channeled interrupt skill which doesnt even guarantee the interruption and takes ages to reload
This is the only thing I hear in support of the shield as it is right now. Personally if I could choose between 1 skill to push people off cliffs with a very high recharge rate or an overall stronger and well rounded weapon with 2 useful skills in most situations I would choose the latter.

So by your logic weapons that can interrupt enemies should be worthless? Guess Warrior hammer skills did not understand that logic.
By my logic a skill that requires u to stay still and does not guarantee an interrupt with such a big recharge rate is a waste of defensive and offensive capabilities.
Many people seem to appreciate the interrupt, Im not saying they should remove it, however as it is right now it is not worth the trouble.
You mess with my shield 5 skill since I use it quite a bit in WvW for knocking people off cliffs, and what not, and I will have your behind.
This is the only thing I hear in support of the shield as it is right now. Personally if I could choose between 1 skill to push people off cliffs with a very high recharge rate or an overall stronger and well rounded weapon with 2 useful skills in most situations I would choose the latter.
The shield right now is probably regarded as our weakest weapons and probably one of the worse and less useful in the whole game. Just going around the forums u can see how much hate it gets by the majority of the population.
Just as long shield 5 is not scrapped, move it to focus or keep the Area avoidance on shield. It’s going to be pretty fun when Edge of the Mists is live, and tossing players off cliffs never gets old.
Yah I dont think it is a bad skill, in fact us being a class that doesnt have much means to run away its good to have such a skill that can protect us from the faster classes which tend to also rely on ranged attacks.
However, except for the animation it really does feel like a focus skill, and the focus skill 5 really does feel like a shield attack, so I dont really know why they mixed them like this.
People who love melee and do care about how they look (like I do) would really like to see sword/mace+shield be more relevant since it looks rad.
What if shield #4 also applied aegis?! :O That’d be pretty neat. It’s a simple addition of block to the shield which a lot of people have requested whilst retaining the philanthropic nature of the Guardian and promotes a fairly decent spread of trait synergy (On block traits, all aegis traits and AH). I wouldn’t mind a few seconds shaved off the cooldown either but if they added aegis to it the current cooldown might be warranted. I dunno, up to them.
I really like shield #5 where it is. It’s such a useful skill, the only real drawback is the cooldown.
I had the same idea, I actually wrote it in my post to Jon in the proposed changes thread. But ultimately I changed it because I foreseen how players would probably start to complain about guardian and blocking.
Do you feel giving shield of judgement aegis would upset the balance of the game?
I dont think so, I mean Guardians are meant to do that, it would be like complaining because a Mesmer can cast illusions with a certain skill they have, or complain because a warrior attack gives them adrenaline.
The guardians main mechanics are damage mitigation and defensive boons, if anyone complains they should be reminded we are the ones with the lowest hp pool out there :P
With all these posts about the December the 10th patch and incoming trait changes I think it would be good to call Arena Net’s attention into some other and maybe more serious aspects of the guardian that do need some re-thinking and re-design.
It seems to be a shared opinion among most of the guardian player base that the shield as it is right now is completely lackluster and falls short compared to the defensive and/or offensive capabilities of any of the other weapons at our disposal.
I believe that if the shield skills were improved or changed the weapon could not only be at par with the rest of our arsnal but also it would open the door to a wide array of new builds, not even mentioning the fact that sword/mace/scepter+shield would look amazing specially for a class intended to be like a paladin or knight.
I would like to use this post to try and start serious discussion among those who agree with these views over what could be done with this weapon and which could be the ways to improve it.
Maybe some ideas could call Arena Net’s attention and bring this issue on to the table for future patches.
Thanks!
Now for my ideas:
a- Shield skill 4 seems to work fine overall but as it is right now I think 1 of 2 changes should be implemented:
-If we want to keep the recharge rate high as it is right now then make the protection be AOE and not a cone in-front of the player.
-If the recharge is reduced then keep the protection applied as a cone in-front of the player.
b- Shield 5 doesn’t look like a shield skill at all I would probably switch it around with the focus skill 5. Since this might make the shield too overpowered they could take away the damage effect and reduce the block to 2 attacks.
TL;DR: how about starting a serious discussion about the shield and how it could be improved?
yah exactly! i wish we had all those options for us
We all know Ascended armor is coming soon, some might be happy, some indifferent others even angry.
I think that it would be positive for the game if the Ascended Armor isn’t locked behind the requirement of getting to level 500 in crafting.
It is certainly positive to allow players who enjoy crafting and the search for materials to craft their way to ascended gear. However not everyone is into this, and not everyone sees dropping 200 gold into crafting pointless exotics to get to 500 just to craft a few ascended pieces that they cant even sell worth it or fun.
I know many might think or say “well but you dont need ascended gear, if its too much for you then dont get it” but we all know this is a bad argument, weve seen it with exotic gear before when this was the end game gear, people kicking you out of your party just because you didnt have exotic gear to clear the dungeon in 10 seconds. Its not happening now cos we dont have full ascended gear but it will certainly come to happen.
Why not allow people to buy pieces with laurels just as you can do with trinkets? or why dont let people buy the pieces with fractal relics as you can also do with some of the trinkets? or through guild commendations? etc?
With trinkets people could choose how to approach them and how to get to have them, we had options and we could choose what was the most fun for US.
Ascended weapons on the contrary force you to craft and if you don’t like it then suck it up.
If we have a precedent of ascended gear being accessible through alternative routes why did this freedom get restricted when ascended weapons came out when it could have been one more option along with the many others we already had?
So my advice, my suggestion for the people who are in charge of putting the ascended armor into the game is: give us back the freedom we had with ascended trinkets and expand it with other options such as crafting, dont do the same as you did with ascended weapons, it just makes the game a grind fest.
Thanks!
IMHO no such a build doesn’t exist but I guess it depends on peoples opinion of good, I believe a Guardian should have a solid dps build for pve and multiple builds for pvp roles.. played alot of Guardian since beta and gone through countless builds and morphed mine as i’ve improved as a player and learned situations/content..
Wondering why you are so opposed to retraiting as it’s pretty much free and fast/easy, I do it every day with no issues, helps you learn the class inside out to try everything too, take a look at how many people on this forum speak matter of factly about how someone elses build sucks or how theirs is so great, it’s really about the players skill/experience level and the situation.. when people I know are new on guardian I don’t recommend my personal builds, my pve build is too reckless without knowing the content and my pvp builds are specialized and specific for how i’m going to play and who i’m going to play with… I love having all these valid trait options it’s one of the best parts of gw2 for me.
Im not against re-traiting, its just that once you make the jump to ascended or legendary gear you are pretty much stuck with one set of stats unless you are willing to work on more ascended sets. Thus with one fixed set of stats not every build works.
Im just trying to make this jump to ascended gear and I would like to have my set have the stats that will allow me to play most if not all the content of the game without sucking.
Since there’s no ascended armor yet and you like PVE I think getting all zerkers is a no brainer since you can balance the rest out with your armor/runes if you feel it makes you too squishy, full zerk guardian in WvW can be a total joke or with the right group/situation/player quite good(but hey you can get all zerker ascended then use a healing/tank armor rune combo)… anyways yeah full zerk ascended if you want a chance at being good at everything imho, while I wouldn’t recommend full zerk to someone new at say high level fractals, it’s something I eventually ended up using alot of the time after gaining experience… get full zerk ascended and then pick 2 diff sets of armor to work on one for pvp build one for pve build.
This does sound like good advice and a good idea, finally I get some concrete answers =) thanks! one more question do you think GS+H is a good combo?

Im still looking for some help with my guardian.
So far Ive heard many different things that can be summarised into the following 2 stances:
AH is the way to go works well all around do not listen to the elitist Zerkers who only deepen the problems in this game.
AH is outdated and elfish, you can do way better going Zerker, if you run AH you are either a noob or a bad player.
From my understanding AH builds seem to be the way to go for WvW, while full Zerker builds are the way to go for most PvE content. So it seems like both are rather useful depending on what you want to do.
My problem is that Im a player who does a little bit of everything. Im not stuck running dungeons every day, nor do I run fractals over and over at max level. While I spend most of my time in PvE I do not always run within a group. Sometimes I even go to WvW to have some fun.
What I am looking for is a versatile efficient self-sustained build.
I dont want to be the BEST dungeon runner, or the BEST fractal runner, nor do I want to be the BEST solo player or WvW fighter. I want a well rounded build that can perform good in most if not every aspect of the game with little changes in the trait lines. A build that helps my group when I run in a group or a zerg but that can also stand on its own when I go solo.
Maybe a build like this does not exist? so far I havent really been able to find one so I would really appreciate it if some of the guys from the community could shed some light for me and maybe help me find a build that performs close to what I want.
Thank you and all opinions are welcomed!
TL;DR: hear ppl saying AH sucks, and others saying full Zerk sucks for guardian. I dont want to be the best in only ONE aspect of the game but have a build that performs good in most or every aspect of the game with little to no changes in the trait lines, any advice?
Well I dont know why you assume I use staff or Clerics armor.
I actually run Gs+Hammer build with Knights armor, ascended zerk trinkets and zerk weps.
I find the AH build I run very useful since it allows me to be in the front line dishing damage while also taking most of it without any major issues.
At the same time I can provide boons to the group and clense conditions which adds to the overall survivability of the group.
Im open to other kinds of builds, however since ascended gear is so hard to get I probably will only have 1 set of trinkets and weps for a while and I would like to have the stats that would allow me to run most of the builds without any major issues.
What stats and traits would be the best for a GS+H guardian? if Gs+H is not a good option then what should I go for? I mostly play PvE but I dont want to run a build that ONLY lets me do PvE content.
Im Ok with changing traits for the different aspects of the game, but I wont be able to switch stats since as I stated before I will only have 1 set of ascended trinkets and weps.
Thanks!
- No.
- Yes, very.
- What do you mean by build diversity? Right now gear has nothing to do with trait choices, aside from stuff like RHS.
Why not? I just dont see full Zerk Guardians as a good option, yes they certainly can dish a whole lot of damage, but they are only good for PvE and even then if you get a bad group being GC wont help anyone.
To your last question: yes gear has a lot to do with the builds you choose, you cannot trait for Brazil’s Sw+Fc build without having Zerker gear, I mean you could but it would be very silly.
Im looking into crafting my ascended weapons. Because of this I want to make sure I am crafting them with the skills that provide me the most flexibility.
What I mean is that I dont plan on making more than 1 set of ascended weps for now so I would like to get the stats that work for most of the Guardian builds.
At the moment im running Gs+H with an AH build.
My questions are:
- Are AH builds still considered a good option for people who normally run solo or PUGs in dungeons?
- Is Hammer still considered a good choice for Guardians?
- Lastly, would Zerker stats provide me the most build diversity?
Thanks!
I really wish that we can use our exotic armor in some way when crafting ascended gear, maybe making it cheaper material wise. That way we dont have to use this hard earned gear as salvage or have it taking up space in the bank.
If it is account bound, I call kittens. You can sell Legendaries; if you cannot sell Ascended gear it is literally just to punish those that haven’t leveled the necessary crafting skills… It would be contrived and asinine to do that.
I do agree with you on that one, thats why I leveled every crafting profession when all this farming started taking place and the prices of materials fell.
However not everyone can do this, or wants/enjoys crafting at all. I feel like forcing them to craft their way up to ascended gear would be pretty much going against everything GW2 was supposed to be.
Yes I completely agree, Ascended gear being time gated requires a whole bunch of dedication and grinding which not many enjoy. At the moment I only have 1 set of ascended trinkets and I am not intersted at all in investing more time in a new set.
I would really like to be able to have flexibility and change my stats to fit the battle ahead but ascended gear is way more restrictive than exotic was and Im stuck playing only one build which I hope never gets nerfed.
Thus if they allow people to change ascended stats easily, even if it was at a cost (say 1 gold per piece? ) I would be very happy.
I would like to know if crafting will be the only way to get the new ascended weapons and in the future armor too.
I like the idea of being able to craft these gear pieces, but are we gonna be able to buy them with laurels too?
After getting all the ascended trinkets for my characters I’m now stuck with at least 100 laurels and it would be nice to be able to put them to good use instead of buying a cat…
I feel like many people out there don’t really care about crafting, or just plainly do not like crafting and hunting for materials so forcing them to do this in order to get end game gear would be going against the idea of letting people choose the way they enjoy to get the gear they want.
One way to avoid this would be to allow people to sell the ascended gear they craft but do you think this will happen? or every ascended item crafted will be automatically account bound?
Lastly, exotic gear is by no means easy nor cheap to get. Gearing a lvl 80 character with full exotic gear costs at least 40+ gold, not counting the fact that many people actually do need to transmute the gear which consumes at least 2 stacks of 5 fine transmutational crystals and we all know that gems aren’t really becoming cheaper. 500 gems at the moment cost around 20+ gold.
Thus, I believe it would be a good idea if the new ascended gear could also be crafted at a lower material cost if we drop the corresponding exotic piece into the recipe so all that exotic gear that we have soulbound doesn’t end up in the bank without any further use.

I’ve been trying to do this achievement with no success , I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some tips or help for a guard! Thanks!
Can anyone give me some help with this achievement? I’m having a bit of trouble with it, done all of the other achievements except light up the darkness. Thanks!
Seriously people there has to be a guardian who did this before, I really need some advice as to what gambits to choose, what boss and what build to use! thanks!
20 zeal for increased sceptor dmg/dmg to burning targets
30 valor (standard stuff)
20 honor shout/emsceptor/focus (need the shield for blocks), 2nd hand didnt matter only used it for energy proc, so staff
2nd phase, just kited around in a circle, because the ceiling drops in 2 place on rotation, so doing that I was always under an empty space by the time it drops so I didnt have to dodge anything really
I can confirm this Build helps! I have just beaten her after around 100 attempts using this exact same build.
It takes some practice, you have to really memorize phase 1 completely til u master it.
It helps to use great sword cos u can pull the shadows to the wells and earn yourself some time, I normally do it to get the second crystal on the well next to the wall.
After that just Scepter her down while keeping an eye out for the orbs.
Pro tip: be in a party so you can target Liadri, do this as soon as you enter the arena.
Also reducing the graphics to best performance removes the wonky vision spell.
that could be good, at least u get it
While it would make more sense that way, I find having them they way they are now does seem to feel more right. Once I realized which weapons to pair together, it flowed much more smoothly. I know the traditional “sword-n-board” are hard to get over. When pairing the shield with a scepter, you become a powerful midline support, and since you’re already back near squishies, the bubble benefits them more (this is during normal play, not boss-stacking gimmick play) and I’ve found that focus not only works well on sword, but works pretty good on mace. Too bad mace just sucks in general, but if you have more than 1 guard in the party it doesn’t do too bad.
The problem here arent the skills but the fact that the skills are placed on the wrong skins, the focus feels like a shield and the shield feels like a focus. Doing what Im asking for or completely switching both skills from one weapon to the other would make each feel more like it should!
I think the shield is fine. The 5 skill is incredibly useful against projectile-heavy enemies and bosses (e.g. Lupicus) and can be used to push enemies away.
Sword/focus is a pretty common combination used to stack vulnerability on an enemy through blinds.
That is exactly the problem with the focus, it is being paired with melee weapons. As a mace or sword wielding guardian I feel like it would eb cooler to go into battle wielding a shield instead of a focus. Its basically just asking to switch skills not to make them go away or destroy them so in that way the shield can get to be used as shields are used for melee combat and blocking attacks while the focus can be used as it is meant to be used as a magical tool that helps you keep your distance from enemies and protects you at ranged
I feel like these 2 weapons are very badly designed in this game for the Guardian.
The shield is normally a weapon you want to use in melee and its main purpose is to block attacks.
The focus is a more magical weapon normally paired with a scepter for a more ranged/caster approach, for this purpose its a weapons that should provide some blocks to ranged attacks and allow you to slow down or blind your opponent so you can regain the distance between you and him.
As it is right now the Shield lacks any melee “blocking” and usefulness while the focus is being used at melee range.
I think that just a slight change would make each of these weapons better and more appropriate.
I think we should switch the number 5 skill in these weapons with each other. Give the shield the SHIELD OF WRATH and give the focus the SHIELD OF ABSORPTION.
By doing this the shield becomes a true melee weapon with blocking capabilities while turning the focus the perfect ranged off-hand.
It would be nice if the design team looked into this since many players playing the Guardian are very disappointed by how the shield performs at the moment and this very simple change would actually be an improvement not only in the playability for both weapons but also design wise.
Thanks!
It would be nice if they allowed us to exchange our ascended gear for other ascended gear pieces. After such a major balance update many builds will go useless and new ones are bound to appear. Many of our hard earned gear will become less effective or even useless for some or many of the new build arrangements.
Ascended gear cannot be bought or sold by players in the trading post and cannot be crafted, its just a grind mechanic that takes many hours and days until you get to have all of the ascended pieces.
I wish ANet was more respectful towards this and the hard work many of us put into the game by allowing us to exchange this hard earned items for other ascended items with different stats after major balancing updates like the upcoming one.
Don’t get me wrong I think this game needs balancing and more variety, it almost feels like every class when it gets to 80 everything revolves around Zerk gear and being a fast killer.
So yes I think balance and changes, new traits, and new skills, are very much needed.
However it has always bugged me how little respect does balancing show to a big bunch of players.
Let me explain myself: many of us spend lots of money and even more important LOTS OF TIME to get to have the particular gear that works well with that ONE particular build.
When balancing takes place many of us are left stuck with gear that costed lots of money and/or took us lots of time to get that has been turned into less effective, less useful gear.
This wouldnt be a big deal if player had the freedom to re-sell their gear, but because of the soul bound/account bound mechanics this isnt possible.
Thus BALANCING in many cases also hurts and punishes hard working committed players.
While many might enjoy going out there hunting for new gear for the new trending build others like me just want to stop grinding and start playing less repetitive parts of the game that while they might provide more fun do not provide the amount of loot and/or money that grinding does.
Balancing is particularly dangerous for ascended gear since it is not craftable and cannot be bought at trading posts, getting this gear takes many days of playing and many hours of fractals and doing daily achievements.
So MY SUGGESTION IS: whenever a MAJOR balancing takes place it would be good if ANet allowed players to do ONE exchange of stats for ascended gear.
For example if you have ZERK trinkets that you dont need anymore because of the balancing that took place you can take them to the laurel merchant and exchange them for different trinkets with different stats ONLY ONE TIME.
This wouldnt be mandatory so those who want to grind for new gear can still do that.
Thats all, what do u guys think?
worst fix ever it changed like nothing …
How about actually fixing the matchup system A-net instead of claiming to having fixed it?
worst fix ever I think it even made things worse >.<
Horrible rkitten matchup system that doesn’t work…. lets fix it and make it the same!
Yha I am completely disappointed and lost much of my interest in the game
This is complete utter unfair crap! the WvW matchmaking is not working right and we keep hearing about fixes and nothing happens! this is ridiculous, A-net FIX THIS ASAP! you want to balance servers population? WELL YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!
This is just pulling our leg, teasing with a fix and giving us the same crap…
you want the title but dont want to do the work ohh ok!
I want the title but I do not want the work? excuse me I’ve been all aroudn the map completing hearts, geting vistas, POIS’s and skill points and I don’t want to work for it?
I think you are being silly. Im just asking for fairness, if we have a title that is PvE centric they shouldn’t force yout o do WvW content to be able to finish it.
It is not fair, since in many cases people like me who like PvE content and are stuck in a World that does bad at WvW shouldn’t have the need to switch servers to be able to complete it.
In fact that is exactly why we have PvP daily, PvP monthly and PvE daily and PvE monthly.
All im asking is for this title to not be so tied, as it is right now, to how good your World does at WvW but actually to you personal skills and interest in the world of the game. I have little to no influence in how a whole world does at WvW, why should other players determine my chances at getting a title I worked really hard for? and why do I have to deal with people like YOU who treat PvE players as scum just cos we want to play PvE content and complete PvE titles without being forced into Competing against other players?
I think there should be a system by which players are allowed to reach the vistas and POI’s in these maps without having to be forced into playing WvW or switching servers.
I feel it is unfair that many people that are mainly PvE players are forced to go and compete in WvW where many times if your world isnt good at WvW you dont even stand a chance at changing anything or taking over places.
Titles shouldn’t be something that depend on my luck when choosing servers but actually something that show my personal skills and dedication.
I dont understand why a title that is 95% centered in PvE exclusively suddenly forces you to go to WvW.
I think it would be better if the POI’s and vistas in WvW were openly accessible to everyone. This would still require some skill from you to be able to get to them probably fighting your way against other invaders but it wouldn’t be as bad as it is nowadays.
Maybe they could even introduce some sort of system by which when you go into WvW you have a 10 minute frame window in which you are World Neutral. You can press a button and leave this “Neutral State” as soon as u get into the WvW map, or you could use that time frame to hunt down the POI’s and vistas you need.
In any case it would be nice to see a fix to this, at least that is my personal opinion.
Thnaks
I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on this kind of builds focused on meditations healing yourself.
I personally am playing a triple meditation build wearing soldiers gear with sup eagle runes, half berserker trinkets and half Magis with Beryl.
I try to have around 50 to 60% crit chance, 75% crit damage, 16k health.
I’m mostly trying to look for a solo build , a good all rounder, that can be used for WvW and PvE, that can also work well with a sword and a shield.
Do you guys think a triple meditation build is worth the while? can a triple meditation guardian face a warrior with any chances of being victorious in 1v1?
If not then, what builds do you recommend for a solo focused guardian?
I know Guardians work best in groups but they also have alot of damge mitigation and healing that makes them good for soloing
i would love a fix
yah beat up sucks
agree i want a fix to this. I have been asking for a fix to this for months without nay sort of reply
After alot of work and time spent on this Dungeon I finally got to get this armor which is for me one of the best in the game. Sad enough for me when I got to buy it and try it on I realized that it was really BUGGY and the texture of the one you buy is not all as good as the one the NPC’s wear quality wise.
I know this sub-forum is for suggestions so I wont spend more time explaining the Bugs and texture quality issues of this armor.
Ever since I got the armor I started making posts in the forums, particularly in the BUGS section, explaining in detail and providing all the information A-net asks for about the issues I had encountered. I made a new topic which got closed shortly after so instead I started posting in the dedicated TOPIC for issues of this kind. Before the one that is active ATM there was another one, I started posting there. After a while the topic disappeared and got replaced by the new one that everyone can see now. I also posted there.
I also sent personal messages to the Mods that were running those topics.
After at least 2 months of not getting any answers or fix I wrote a personal e-mail to the Guild Wars 2 support team. I got a reply that just said that I should post the BUGS on the FORUMS, thing that I had been doing for months without getting any sort of attention.
So, NOW im trying this. Basically I would like to make a suggestion to the A-net team. I would suggest the implementation of some sort of way by which they could let people know if the bugs and issues they are reporting are being looked into. I know there are different level of importance to the bugs we report and that some arent even going to be looked into, but SOME of the problems I am experiencing arent just MINOR clipping issues.
It’s just not a nice feeling to try to make yourself heard and not get any answer of any sort. At least if I knew that A-net considers that the issue I experience isn’t going to be looked into by them I would just stop posting it instead of keep trying to make myself heard.
In any case this is one of the posts I made before if anyone cares to read:

Thank you for your time!
agreed! hope they implement this
Race: Human
Sex: Male
Class: Guardian
LVL: 80
Armor: Noblemans Armor set (Caudecus Mannor Dungeon Set) lvl 80
Issues:
a- Bad clipping on the belt
b- Bad clipping on the back and front of the shoulder pads.
c- Bad clipping on the back “tail” of the armor, leg piece just cuts through.
d- Texture is cut in one of the upper arm parts.
e- Texture of the whole armor is bad and inferior to the texture quality of the same armor while being used by NPCs (comparable in attached file). The NPC’s Nobleman armor set is smooth and shiny, new and not worn off. The one we get isnt shiny, its covered in black patches that look like a bad imitation of “rust” and worn off.
For more information check the attached file with several screenshots showing each and every single one of the points listed. Please fix it, it’s a dungeon armor set that takes a lot of time and effort to get, it would be nice to have it as it is shown by NPC’s without all the bad clipping issues that it presents all over.
Thanks
I agree with nerva.7940 it would be good if we had some way of knowing which of all these issues are being looked into.
