I’d like to see you come up with another suggestion . And a bunker Mesmer doesn’t need phantasms constantly. One berserker and one duelist out damages all the minions summoned by a necro. You thinking this would destroy a Mesmer is wrong. They could still put clones up this wouldn’t effect the shatter Mesmer. Yea it would nerf the phantasm Mesmer but that is what needs a nerf.. The Damage and survivability is out right kitten

I think I found the problem…
When you summon a phantasm the cool down starts counting down as soon as you cast it. This is very annoying vs a phantasm mesmer because once you kill the phantasm you have another one to deal with thus not focusing your damage on the actual Mesmer. And if you did manage to kill the phantasm quick enough the mesmer will just stealth blink behind you and can summon another … The phantasm cool down should not start counting down until the phantasm is killed .. This is the way to nerf the mesmer while still being viable…

This is not something new I’m trying to implement . Look at the necro when he summons minions the cool down doesn’t start counting till the minion is dead. Same with ranger spirits.

Best burst build literally melt people in 1v1s in spvp rampager amulet it’s a a beast aster spec

Shortbow sword dagger

Pop signet of the wild pop quickness panther stealth with rampage as one sword 1 BOOm melt anything and can still survive

Swap pets more quickness use drakes f2 I use river cuz it has longer range f2 and when people die they see 5k+ dmg from just the f2 drake ability lol also drakes and cats bleed on crits which is easy when I give them fury rampage as one 1000+ condi dmg those bleeds hurt

And yes I have survivability while glass dodge roll gives protection I get regen from bleeds burns poisons when I dodge remove poison then get full heal off 4 evades from sb and s d

Use rune of Orrin so when I get to 20% hp I get 5 second quickness and a trait makes my pet do more dmg again!

Everyone just focuses on there own dmg and forget that there is 2 of you

Put points in BM or use a tanker pet or swap your pet… I love what they did last patch now it takes 3 conditions as opposed to 1 … If anything the signet needs a buff 1 every 10 seconds is garbage waste of a utility spot

gs better in agresive playstyle, staff not. staff not for kill some1, its more for “save your azz”
btw direct dmg>conditions in this game

Staff not for kill someone? Pretty sure that phantasmal warlock hits hard enough to kill something and at the same time can save your azz

You can’t focus on confusion as a primary damage source. Think of confusion as an added bonus damage effect. in other words don’t stack condition damage as a mesmer just plain terrible.

Greatsword is great just not for shatter builds. Number 3 skill is trash they need to just make it where it is used on your target instead of an aoe circle. Otherwise nice damage looks cool great for phantasm builds and mantra builds.

Staff just has way better utility then a greatsword. And actually the damage can be the same if not better. Most mesmers that use staff think oh conditions! Lets use condition damage lol so wrong. Power and crit crit dmg is way better on a staff

I’ve seen necros destroy in 1v1 duels yeas its harder then playing other classes but a
0/30/10/0/30 s/d staff fear damage necro can destroy people 1v1 if they are good cuz when I use it I suck but am getting better have beaten some good people with it

The downed 3 skill actually does a load of damage, and is aoe, and a dark field as well.

Our downed auto is a channel so it will keep hitting thieves even if they cloak, which has netted me more then a few kills, but it also make it hard to change target as it will keep trying to hit the first person you used one on unless you use another ability.

While it would be nice if our fear was AOE, we’re overall not that terrible.

I’m sorry but the number 3 is terrible it doesn’t save you at all. Dark field? Why is that good when your downed? Compared to the other classes this is pretty terrible. Not considering when you use it any person would just walk around it and finish you and jeez the fears cast time is so long if you are quickness finished you are done. They are the worst downed skills in the game and need to be better.

Honestly rangers just need better and different utility skills.. As of now the only thing good are traps and you have to spec to make them good as where other classes don’t have to spec into things to make their utilities good. I miss the gw1 ranger so much better IMO and completely different … Now I’m forced to use a pet.. Shouts are complete garbage. Cool I can trait to make signets effect me. Other classes have signets as well. Survival skills. Lightning reflexes cool I do a backflip stun break! Awesome.. What do mesmers get stealth clone now that’s cool! (I compare these 2 classes because I main both) . Sharpening stone great my next X attacks cause bleed not very appealing to me even as a condi ranger it’s good damage but it doesn’t add “flare” to the class.

Add something special that really makes ranger fun to play cuz right now they just seem boring.. Only reason I find them fun to play in pvp is because I can swap pet quickness stomp. No other skill makes me wow when I use it.

Anyone else agree with me that necros downed skills are just trash… I mean a long cast single target fear as number 2… Don’t even get me started on number 3 LOL just plain terrible… I mean in pve these might be good but in pvp it’s just a disaster… Number 1 is meh. I know you can spec to make downed better but still trash in pvp

Compare these to the other classes
Ranger – aoe daze fast cast.. And pet Rez (which is bugged)
Warrior – hammer faster cast then the fear… And vengeance which I personally think is better then ranger pet Rez
Mesmer – teleport away with stealth and a phantasm which can hit hard
Guardian – aoe knock back bubble plus the heal thing
Ele – mist form and don’t know what number 3 is
Engi – maybe just as bad as necro :P still better tho
Thief – teleport stealth

Honestly RTL is OP on orb running, but I don’t think they are the best orb runners… Rangers by far are the best specially with the greatsword, Signet of the hunt 25% speed, quickness for 2 seconds grab the orb 15 sec cd, dodge all day… Impossible to kill.. Had games where I capped the orb over 10 times lol

In all the honesty the best way to fix this is to remove skills 1-5 from your skill bar when you grab the orb… It’s very simple to do and makes complete sense your team should protect you and you would still have certain utilities. Otherwise they nerf one skill gotta nerf another. This is how it should have been from the beginning.

Yes I think they are going to nerf this .. As of now on my ranger I can use signet of the hunt and dodge like a million times swoop with the greatsword which is moving forward 1100 range lol and then turn around and use lightning reflexes to backflip for the score! Takes little to no time lol

I just met the mesmer Ellen ary and murdered his mesmer so any times because he said I was scared of him…. Then he brought his ele and i still beat him .. He has serious anger problems I would never join his tpvp team Ty
