A higher up: “When are the features ready?” The coder: “Oh, in half a day.” The higher up: “Oh, then we will surprise them positively and respond to them when we actually have results!” Half a day later the coder tells how there was a “little” bump in the road and that he needs “only half day more”. Rinse and repeat.
edit: Oh the irony, we had a reply while I was writing my post ;P
Actually, twice now I’ve seen my fellow team mate run away from the node when he/she realized there was more people attacking than there was defending. And then I was alone fighting against 3-4 people. Fun times.
I agree, remove it completely. The amount of times I’ve lost a 1v2 or 1v3+ because I was constantly interrupted trying to finish an opponent is ridiculous.
Your class probably has a utility skill that let’s you stomp without interruption. It’s a world of choices.
This is a problem yes. As a guardian I really like to defend a node and it feels so stupidly unrewarding when you manage to keep the node in a 1v2 situation for a long time and then they finally manage to beat you and you get nothing for it.
The game is too new and you people are not good enough to judge what is balanced or not. The fact that you are disparaging the ele is proof of this. In the right hands the ele is extremely powerful and very hard to kill.
Rotating through the attunements is what makes the ele so powerful. Without that 1.5 second CD we’d have people whining about ele’s too.
As it is im just waiting for you all to discover how powerful the guardian is and to whine about them.
Oh believe me, a lot of people have already figured out that guardians are strong(and it’s funny how people were QQing a lot when guardians received a nerf after BWE3…). I am a very new guardian player and I can still easily manage most classes in 1v1 except for the mesmer which seems to be a pain for me
The retaliation uptime is phenomenal and it makes thieves very angry when they burst themselves to death.
Concenrning eles, people should go watch phantaram’s stream and then come back and tell me how it lacks raw power.
My experience as a guardian is that the only class I find really irritating are mesmers. Warriors and thieves are manageable. Also, eles and necros aren’t weak, the really good builds they use just aren’t as well known.
The free tournament description explicitly tells that if you join as a partial roster, it matches you up against partial rosters. Problem solved, yes?
it either doesn’t do this, or it tries for a bit then if it cant it’ll throw you against a premade.
i know this because every day we are destroying random pugs much more than we are playing against 5 mans, and it gets really boring.
matchmaking needs a lot of work, its not fun for anyone to have 2 teams of different levels playing against each other
So the problem actually is that people aren’t playing enough with just a few friends. Ironic in a way.

The downed state is great but it could use some balance. Immediately usable interrupts are perfect. As the stomper I can just pop my stability and stomp without trouble(or alternatively blind the enemy) but in a group fight those interrupts can have an effect on the fight and save you. It also brings some very interesting strategies to table on tournament play when the good teams wait on stomping to put players on different res timers.
I feel the need to correct something: This was not Team Paradigms number one team. Paradigm Shift is their secondary guild where they let recruits in I guess. Afaik their number one team consists mostly of Teldo, Xeph, Reyon and Azshene.
@BluBla: self named maybe but I think they haven’t lost a single game after the game went live.
