Because I am not a 10/10 at thief like you I had to look up these numbers. Short bow auto = the damage of dagger auto, which seemed to work well for doing damage.

If anyone remember during the beta and I believe shortly after release there existed rank 90 and 100 vendors.

Why not bring those back making them like “super saiyan dragon”, “god”, “l33t sp0rt5” or other ideas.

All thought they were a small thing many build relied on using a different amulet from their jewel to increase their effectiveness.

Bunker Guardian which already have a low health pool would usually run barbarian jewel on a clerics ammi to get higher health + an about 20% increase in vigor up-time.

(tanky) Hambow ran soldiers ammi with zerker jewel in order to increase damage while still staying annoyingly tanky.

Spirit Ranger usually ran (at higher levels) carrion ammi with rabid jewel, I honestly do not know for this one because I rarely ever dabble in ranger but I trust players like tany have a reason for running the jewel.

There are many other builds that ran combinations in order to get more out of their stats. It also allowed you to hybridize builds little bit, moving them away from full burst or full tank to a good midpoint. All this is doing is dumbing down an already simple system compared to the crazy stat combining that goes on in PvE.

It is the same problem we have with heal skills right now. There are so many and around 50% are just awful.

Do not just keep adding and never fixing. Fix what we have and then innovate. Do not keep adding parts to a broken system.

Changes to Guardian Weapon Skills

Do not get me wrong, I love my guardian but some weapon skills seem to give you no choice or are weakened due to the meta.

I think a few changes would make them better and provides more diverse play.

Staff:
auto: damage is highest near the enter of the attack and grows weaker the further out (would add more play then senseless spamming)
2 skill: increase the healing to 1-2k if you can get the orb to travel through an ally and increase the CD of the detonation to about 15s and add a blind. (currently on bunker/support you almost always detonate because the healing is more reliable and in most cases better because hitting is really hard, this would make it more rewarding to hit a hardish skill shot. On DPS you never detonate because the DPS is bad compared to using the skill ever 3s on CD.)

Shield:
4 skill: same as staff auto but also increase the protection duration based on where the ally is in the attack
5 skill: remove the ability to break the animation and increase the healing the longer you stay holding the bubble. add .5s cast so it is not a stupid instant cast knock-back. make it block projectiles, not absorb (this it to let it work better with blocking traits).

Focus:
4 skill: let you initiate the bounce on an ally

Hammer:
4 skill: decrease the swing to .5s but allow the player to charge up the knock-back, longer you charge the stronger the swing.

Greatsword:
5 skill: make the inital charge up spin look different form 2 skill’s charge up so it is easier to see and counter.

Scepter:
3 skill: give this a better animation so it can be seen and countered

Spirit Weapons:
KILL THEM BEFORE ANET FIGURES OUT THERE IS MORE AI TO BUFF

These are meant to be small changes because I want the only balanced class in this game to stay balanced.

Look awesome. The problem one of the problems with DPS guardian is there are a lot of traits that are really powerful you must take, such kitten in 4th line, 5 in 2nd line, 30 in 3rd line for meditation traits and 20 in 5th line(mostly to give you sustain and some team support). This change would provide another trait that look as desirable a the others and could increase build diversity.

Only thing I fear is the healing potential of almost 700-800 a second if you are allowed to auto-attack but this seems like an awesome idea to make the 1st tree more desirable (we only now need to make the 2nd tree good for anything other than full burst).

I really want to see templates so I can delete my some of my guardians.

I would also love to see special servers for tournaments that allow for an almost unlimited number of spectators with their own isolated map group chat.

Kizos is a bad warrior and a liar. I am best warrior. I main killshot warrior and go more ham than Oeggs!

1. I have won like 100 games on warrior, including hotjoins, so I can say I understand the class fully.
2. I have never run healing signet because I am not a pansy.
3. I have successfully globaled caed on kill-shot so… I AM BEST.
4. My head looks like a carrot, this may seem irrelevant but it VERY important!
5. I have once gone on a 10 game win-streak in solo-que with kill-shot.
6. I run Rifle and Greatsword because Anet felt like senselessly nerfing may old sword sword block-bug and rifle build. (made an engi global himself)

I am an obvious pick and a far better warrior than the terrible kizos, who you were probably going to pick.

NO NO NO NO NO NO.

DPS guardian is currently in a good place. The problems is we are playing in a meta where most builds are so broken they do not need to worry about the same problems. Buffing another class is not the fix to the issue, nerfing others is.

Once Anet learns that making classes have weak points like guardian soft CC is GOOD. It incentives team-play rather than the 1 man army kind of game-play this meta has breed. No build should be able to do everything, guardian gives up soft CC for its really good AOE cleave.

If you want soft CC do not push a point alone…

Good idea but I think the 10 points cymerdown recommended would be better. An increase to 10 points would also mean a player would have to effectively hold a neutralize for 20s to make their sacrifice worth it.

Even if this is not changed for team ques i would love to see custom arena gain the functionality to change around values given from different events. This would allow for the community to test out different things like: higher points for kills, different values for boss and lord kills, and maybe even points for killing treb

I like most of the changes to guardian but the making of banish into an instant cast makes me a little wary. I think a charge up before the swing and after you release it takes .5s for the skill to hit would add the same counter play banish has but allow for the new mechanic. You could make a fancy light grow bigger as you charge to indicate to the opponent the amount charged ( you see a giant orb of light around the hammer and you know to GTFO)

The aegis change is needed and a little more health would help guardians not melt to condition builds unless they run a ton on condi removal.

Another thing I did not see covered with necromancers was making the marks easier to read when on the ground. Ideas to fix it could be have each mark have its own color or make them easier to read like symbols which are easy enough to distinguish from one another.

I would love to also see more skills like the idea of the charged banish or just more skills like guardian staff 2, guardian shield 5, and engi shield 4 and 5. These skills add complexity to play.

Light combo fields need their leap and blast finishers moved to condition removal rather than an almost worthless 3s of retal (when compared to other fields).

AI builds should be weakened so they are like guardian spirit weapon builds. Unviable in tournies but usable at a low level in hot joins. Allow them to be the nooby spec that is not as effective as the higher level specs but allow a new player to get into the game and learn a little bit before they have a play the harder specs.

One last thing, the 5 trait in the vitality tree for guardian and the 5 trait in the precision tree for mesmer need to be nerfed. perma vigor should not be rewarded for 5 trait points.

I love the changes but I only have a few questions/requests

Diamond Skin:
Could there be an animation or buff icon on the ele while active so someone knows not to spam condis just like someone knows not to CC while someone has stability. Can’t wait to try a 0 30 30 10 0 full burst ele.

Vigor nerf to engi:
why just engi… mesmer and guardian get perma vigor right now from just 5 into a trait line. Perma vigor should never be available for such a small investment. Maybe make it a 25 trait which would force Guardians to go more into the vitality tree and Mesmer have to go more into the precision.

1. Staying power – Something to achieve that shows skill rather than you lack of life i.e. weapon skins for top 100
2. More players!!!
3. Balance and reducing the skill floor on some builds or making easy build not as viable in high level play but work as an entry way for new players.

This game is amazing and the balance right now is better than I can remember, it just needs a few tweaks over time in order to balance out specs and allow for skill to shine

I have recently started playing my ele again and loving it, but I do not love being face-rolled by any condi class. I can kill most other classes, it may be hard but I can with some well placed blinds and phoenixes.

The current condi removal skills are cleansing fire, which cures 3 condi on a 40 second cool down and ether renewal which cures 8 condis but takes 4 seconds to cast.


Compare these to other classes condi removal:

Guardian:
purging flame (30 sec cooldown, 3 condis from yourself and allies, reduced condi duration inside, fire field)
shouts (convert 1 condi with each shout and with soldier runes 2 condis removed a shout)
Contemplation of purity (60 second cooldown, converts all condis to boons)

Warrior:
Cleansing Ire (cooldown depends on how much adrenaline but not long if you are being hit, removes 3 conditions)
Beserker Stance (60 second cooldown, immune to conditions for 8 seconds)

Necro:
Putrid Mark(25 Second Cooldown, Takes conditions in an area and puts them on the enemy who triggers it,)
Deathly swarm (18 second Cooldwon, transfer 3 condis)
Consume Conditions (25 second cooldown, remove all conditions and gain extra health for each)

Engineer:
Automated Response (permanent condi immunity under 25% health)
Cleansing Formula 409(removes condis from everyone affected with each elixir)
Healing Turret(20 second cooldown, creates a water field and removes 2 conditions)

Ranger:
Empathetic Bond(Removes 3 condis every 10 seconds)
Healing Spring(30 second cooldown, removes one condition ever 2 seconds AOE and water field)

Mesmer and Thief are in the same boat but they can be allusive and stay away from a lot of the condis while and ele has to dip in regularly and they both have good elite skills for lyssa condi removal.


Elementalists need their condi removal to be brought on par with other classes or they will forever be a laughed at class in solo and team que. These ideas may be a little absurd but they are just a few ideas I came up with in like 10 minutes.

Some ideas would be:

Cleansing Fire: 30 second cooldown, removes 3 conditions from allies and creates a fire field for 5 seconds that burns enemies who stand in it.

Ether Renewal: 15 second cooldown, same cast and animation but gives 15 seconds of might for each condi removed and if you have no condis it will remove them from allies withing a 300 range.

Soothing Rain: New master water trait, while in water attunement you and allies affected affected by soothing mist get 50% reduced condi duration.


I would love to hear feed back about ideas to make eles able to hold their own again against anything because the master of elements should be able to deal with a few condis.

Engineer is broken in how it applies conditions. Their rate of application makes so any class, except warriors and necros, cannot even get close without dieing to condis because any condition removal is made useless because the conditions are reapplied in a few seconds.

Warrior has to much AOE with hammer|longbow. The skill required to beat a hammer|longbow is high while the skill required for them to kill you is not so high. The biggest problem is the signet heal allows a warrior to get massive passive healing so they can always be on the offensive while other classes have to play defensively against them.

I am fine with a class being a counter to another, like stun-lock warrior being the clounter to a necro, but I do not want it to be near impossible for the necro to win. I want it so skill and team comp shine rather than just having all the good flavor of the month builds.

Crysis’s build will be barely effected by any change to the paralyzation sigil change. It runs only 2 stuns each of which will only lose 1 second of stun. It is OP against anyone who does not run a massive amount of stun breaks, blinds or aegis. I personally think the problem with the build is its rate of application not with the length of the stuns.

If the rate were toned down a warrior may have to start counting dodges and watching for blinds and aegis, but with how many disables they have SPAMMING = WIN.

I personally run Virtue Guardian and I find it a nice respite when having to fight Crysis rather than a H/L warrior. Crysis does not run any stability and spams the heck out of his disables where H/L just lays down a bunch of AOE I would have to concede the point in order to avoid.

On the front of easy classes. I put bomb/grenade engi in the ame group as Necros, Warriors and Spirit Rangers. They have an enormous rate of condi application, such that almost any condi removal does not work and all they have to do is spam where the enemy is in order to hit them. I do not understand the nostalgia for previous metas, Fresh air ele used to be big and they were mostly spamming air attunement, heartseeker thief, sword pistol quickness thief, bulls rush/hundred blades warriors, BM ranger, Staff ele, and so on were all big before when the game was “balanced”

World 2 zone 2 checkpoint in spikes

I just finished the World 2, zone 2 of tribulation, to much anger, last night. The checkpoint directly after the portal section has 2 major errors.

1. The checkpoint spawns you in spikes and sometimes you do not get the invulnerability, causing you to double die.

2. After doing the pillar jump and avoiding the cloud piranhas you will get to do a balloon-cloud checkpoint but the portal checkpoint supersedes that one causing the checkpoint to not work and for you to re spawn at the portal checkpoint, even thought the balloon-checkpoint is further in the zone.

I loved the rest of the zone on tribulation just that error lost me over 200 lives and got me incredibly frustrated.

Do you see adding more variety to the statistics on Ascended items?

I ask because I currently play an elementalist on which my gear is composed of carrion (vitality, power, condition damage+) and rampager (precision+, power, condition damage) gear and none of the current ascended gear have those stat sets.
