I have been messing around with the gw2 api lately and when I made a request on my pvp data it included byes, forfeits, wins, losses and desertions. Wins, losses and desertions are obvious but what are byes and forfeits?
Are byes wins against teams with a desertion or something?

Animations and effects should be synchronized across classes and abilities to make it easier to understand what is going on. This is a huge QOL thing for players especially with all the crazy new build going around because players have to constantly learn what a new icon/animation means.
Example:
- Defiant Stance, and Infuse Light from Radiant Revival and Facet of Light should all be the same buff icon.
- Dragon’s Maw should have the ward animation added so that it is easier to tell where the player is in respect to the wall created by the trap.
Minstrel’s ammi was not the way to make bunker guardian viable. It was kitten on this game and the removal has made this game better.
Guardian should have more healing than any other class (due to its low health pool, which should not be changed) but right now it cannot keep up with classes like scrapper or druid. The shouts have become outclassed by other skills over time and need to be reworked in order to keep up with other classes.
What do I do if dodge is not bound?
DH beats most zerker builds. It dies to sustain builds if they do not face tank all the telegraphed damage.
Reaper is insane. Just watch Nos in the ESL finals.

If this follows standard single elim tourney rules (I have not checked) the semi-finals will be Abjured vs the Dankening and Radioactive vs DoD. Meaning that Abjured and DoD will most likely be going to Boston.
The seeding seems unfair though because DoD had an almost complete roster change, if I am not mistaken, they should be a much lower seed.
When playing bunker guard you should not be sitting alone at mid, if you are, your team is playing wrong. Guardian bunker is a team fighting build it is decent in 1v1s and 1v2s but if you want a a build to do that use a warrior or ele that can bunker and exert counter pressure to keep themselves alive. If you go watch players like tage or kensuda they almost never sit alone on bunker guard, they rotate with their team.
Tired of listening to NA players complain about nothing relevant to the PvP scene. I’d actually rather google translate a french or a german forum, where the debate is on a higher level.

Celestial builds can now might stack more on there team than empower can. d/d and staff ele can heal as much if not more than a bunker guard. Ele has higher uptime on AOE protection and regen than a guard. I am not saying ele should be unable to support but it should have to go clerics because right now their damage + support is ridiculous.
P.S. I do not want a guard buff, I just want cele toned down
When teams have to run >= 3 players with cele amulet there is a serious problem.

That sounds great. There is very little strategy now when making a group because everyone just switches whenever they want. It would also reward smarter teams for coming up with a counter meta comp.
I think at least utilities and weapons can be changed but not traits, runes, sigils and ammis. Would prevent 5 lich comps from being rampant but at the same time prevent people from completely changing how there class plays (d/d→staff, hambow→axe, bunker guard→DPS and so on)
2—Solo Que & Team Que Map vote system
I think this would be terrible for team que because people would build a comp for a specific map and move for that map everytime. that means the entire other team would have to agree on the same map to get it to even a tie vote.
It would be great for solo que tho, would remove a lot of the skyhammer and spirit watch ques.

honestly, passive fear condi necro and the cele builds are rather cancer. At least radioactive has next to no pressure other than lich which can be easily dealt with.

It seems ok, I have been trying using merciful intervention as a third utility instead of save yourselves and the CD reduction on 2 skills is nice but against a high condi team purity seems way better (it may just be me being used to playing around the condi removal).

yes, combustive shot is easy to land, there’s a reason war has been nearly pidgeon-holed into that weapon for the past year.

I have had 5+ pugs quit after reking jin’s team because we had to go get chemotherapy. The comp is so unfun to play against that even beating them is worse than not playing.
Nightmare runes and reaper’s protection are just bad game design. They support having bad positioning and getting hit by attacks you should otherwise avoid. They need to either be shortened substantially in duration or have a condition that needs to be met that takes active play by the necro, like dhuum fire.
It is just cancer to fight in 1v1s because you are not beaten by the player but by there passive procs, it feels like fighting a mm or turret engi.
meh, most leap skills cannot be canceled (which do basically the same thing). At least you have a_5s weapon swap unlike other classes. (I guess “_” is the safe word divider for Anet because " " makes them think it is a luscious booty)
If it is changed it should be done for all movement skills not just warrior’s.

Play a class you fully understand, classes good for 1v1s usually work better. Rotate according to what you know and to compensate your team’s weaknesses.
Most people in solo que are nice and want to win. Just do not be an kitten and your team will usually not disappoint you, salty people usually weigh more when you try to carry
The battle sigil nerf would help in nerfing the engi build but I do not think it would help much with d/d ele. I think the blast finish itself needs a nerf, it is incredibly easy to pull off and on some builds allows them to stack insane amount of might. Might should be a coordinated burst boon not something stacked to 25 by going through a basic rotation.
Drake’s breath is a problem because of the might stacks, burning with base cele stats is not to dangerous.
Lightning whip just sound like the programmers need to change how the skill functions with the heal in-order to require a full cast of the skill.
The nicest player I have ever meet and one of the best thieves in NA.
He was shot by a burrito gun. Not one of those delicious chipotle guns that makes the rest of your day heaven but a taco bell burrito gun that makes you feel sad 30 minutes later.
XI. Permeating Wrath – Activating Virtue of Justice also deals damage to nearby enemies (~300 at high power, so 900~1100 on a nice crit, 240 range). Virtue of Justice’s cooldown is reduced by 10%.
That just seems like a bad smite conditions, I think something like a 10-20% damage boost for 2s to all effected would be more apt of a grand master trait.
XII. Shielded Mind – Activating Virtue of Courage also breaks stun for any ally affected by the ability. Virtue of Courage’s cooldown is reduced by 10%.
This still seems worse than the stability trait, I think add something like block all incoming attacks over the next 1s for all those effected including the previous effects.
XIII. Purity of Body – Activating Virtue of Resolve also grants immunity to chill, cripple, and immobilize for 3 seconds for any ally affected by the ability. Virtue of Resolve’s cooldown is reduced by 10%.
This seems like a good alternative to the stability trait

There are so many variables that you have to consider when it comes to balance (especially in this game/the conquest game mode) before saying that something that can sit on a point and deal damage is “unbalanced”.
There’s power damage, condi damage, burst damage, ranged damage, melee damage, AoE Damage, direct support, hard cc, soft cc, mobility, sustain through healing, sustain through toughness/vitality, condition volume, condition cleanse, condition application rate, invuln periods (which count as sustain in a way), stealth, EVADES, etc etc etc etc.
When you talk about class balance within the conquest game mode you have to consider the number variables/assets/detriments existing within each class/build and how they can lead to a teams ultimate success or downfall. Also, you have to consider how much counter play there are to these abilities/features and form and argument about how it could be changed to better improve the game.
Seriously… Think hard, play pvp ALOT, and form a legitimate argument before coming on the forums and crying about game balance. The majority of what is said/discussed hear is mind bogglingly boring, useless, and non-insightful.
Seriously, don’t come on here and criticize others when you play a warrior. Obviously you aren’t going to have a problem with balance. We get it. Warriors think their class is completely balanced.
The problems I have with warriors are staggering blow and axe auto being a little bit too strong, other than that they are in a decent place. Warrior is just easy to play.
