I would deffo go with the second 1. but next time you should start your own thread.
it will pretty much stay above 20. i have a q8400 and a 9400gt back then and i could run mediumish at 15-20ish fps.
what i7 are you planning to get? the i7 3770k is abt $300
yes, it will run at low.
you will be better off with an i5 3570k and overclock it. and for that money, an i7 isn’t a bad choice. are you only building the computer or do you need monitors, keyboard, mouse and stuff?
MMO’s are always updated once in a while and an update is called a “patch.” It is normal that you download lots of files because the game has been out for more than half a year.
I think you really should have above 10 fps on that hardware. i have these specs before:
CPU: intel core2 quad q8400 @ 2.66ghz
GPU: nvidia geforce 9400gt
mobo: gigabyte g41m-combo
RAM: 2gb
and i believe i can play at medium at 15ish fps. and lowest for 30ish (i guess) so you should be getting more than 10 fps.
Map: Sparkfly fen, toade’s head
World: dragonbrand
Time: about 9:20-9:50 GMT+8
have you updated your drivers? or try doing a clean installation?
i dunno much about AMD stuff so here’s an Intel build. case is a personal choice and i only chose this case because of the $30 discount (5 dollars ftw). if you were to buy this in a store, i would say about 505 dollars or so. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PXM9
I’m not an expert in this, just trying to help
With monitor? or without?
yeah, but ya know, the physx technology and some other flashy stuff……. now i realize why Nvidia cards are more expensive than ATI.
about 4.2 ~ 4.4 maybe? anything above 25 on WvW will be ok for me. i’m thinking about getting a 660ti. about 100 dollars difference here. and a 7970 is slightly cheaper than a 670 here.
Edit: just checked newegg, 7970 really is cheaper. xD

how bout a CM 690II advanced for case? i really like to get one but not sure about air flow though.
Processor – i5 3570k
Cooler – Hyper 212 Evo
Mobo – Asrock z77 extreme4
GPU – Palit Geforce gtx 670 jetstream
HDD – 1TB seagate baracudda
RAM – 2×4 kingston hyperx memory 1600mhz
PSU – Coolermaster GX 650w
Case – Coolermaster 912 HAF
OS – Windows 8
an optical dfrive
BenQ 21.5" 1920×1080 monitor
Hyper 212 Evo may be replaced with an Antec Kuhler H20 620. I’m choosing Windows 8 because it is cheaper. if possible, i would like to reduce cost without sacrificing too much performance. Suggestion would be much appreciated. i haven’t bought anything yet.
oh sorry, now i should read the post before replying. xD still cool though.
Cool, i would like to see the final version. btw, do you do requests?
try updating flash maybe? i heard somewhere that UI uses flash. not sure though.
Exiled Dbl.9035 do u mean that i need to check my pc is on DX 11?
no. the game does not have dx 11 support and needs to have one for better performance.
then go with the 3570. however, if you would like to upgrade your gpu soon and play at high/ultra settings. the 3570 would not be able to keep a stable 30 fps in massive WvW battles. What is your budget? it would help if we knew what your budget is.
a 3570k would be much better since you overclock it. i think your mobo is compatible with it but i recommend to get a z77 for max efficiency. i’m not an expert at this so just wait until someone with higher knowledge confirms this or gives you a better option.
Can you list your full specs? also, 32-bit systems are most likely to have out of memory crashes because of it using only about 2 gb of ram.(i think)
They should test this with players before actually releasing it to the public. i think the deluxe edition players (and anything above that) should have access to a “test” server and selected players which would be chosen by sort of “beta” sign-ups that asks questions and asks why you should be chosen or something like that.
Edit: Why wait for for the consoles? they know it’s coming. do it right now and if ever they want to put it on consoles, just make a few adjustments and slap it in there. after all, ps4 and the next xbox (probably) would be using pc-like architecture.

well, you could but why? the box is nice and you can keep the disks there.
i notice something on your name, hmmm…….
i dont really have the money to transfer but i will consider it.
Hi! so i spend most of my time playing solo and i want someone or some people to play with that can be friends with me and help me progress. i would like to chat not only about GW2 but also about interests and other stuff. I play on Dragonbrand server and i wish i could make some new friends in this game Also I am from SEA and i play on sometime between 10am to 4pm and 8 to 10 pm GMT+8
(edited by iAsuno.9654)
I would like to look at this. Send me a PM
This is awesome! I hope you do more of these vids. I see you did many on Aion. Give more love to GW2!! i’ll sub right nao!
9/10 i like the name personally. i like names that tells characteristics
My Sylvari name is “Flasmyr” i want something original and has a uniqueness when it is heard.
are you connected through wifi? i was on wifi when i was lagging (though a couple months before it was not lagging) then i tried a wired connection and guess what? the lag was gone.
yes it can be. its not illegal or something like that. the disk should install to any pc how many times you want. installation doesn’t require your serial key because it is used on your account and not on the PC itself.
around 3-4 Gb if you never updated the game. Can be less, so don’t kill me if it is :P
Actually its more. i dunno exactly but definitely more. around 7-5. its not just adding files, its updating the old files in the disk.
this would be perfect for weaker PCs. i think it would be nice to have like an automatic switch between presets. for example, you were doing PvE at high/mid, then you want to go to WvW, the settings should be changed accorording to the preset you’ve made when you teleport to the battlegrounds. anther one for PvP would be nice.
my cpu temps are between 69-74 degrees. that should be alright, right?
that processor wouldn’t give you that much fps. BTW. is it lagging like low fps or lagging like delays? Windows aero is not a graphics card. as sandra solace said, it would really help to give us the make and model of your laptop.
can you list your full specs? its not only the ram which makes the run smooth.
so I mainly play GW2 on my laptop but some people say that gaming can kill my laptop. i don’t like to play on my desktop because its old and slow. does gaming shirten the lifespan of a laptop? BTW i have a dell xps 14z .
have you updated your drivers?
medium settings if you don’t mind dropping below 30 fps. for me, anything above 20 is good for me. my specs are also near from yours. an i5-2450M 8 GB RAM and GT 520M and i play on med-high settings with 20ish fps. i only play PvE atm so no prob for me. and lag is preventing from enjoying sooo….. yeah.
the guy saying that you can play guild wars 2 oflline is trolling (or maybe something that i totally didn’t know of but most probabbly trolling)
EVERY MMO does not save your characters on your computer. it is saved on the database which you can call the cloud (just maybe).
well, if you are trolling, (and i am not saying that you are) fine.
could you list your specs so that we may recommend a more accurate answer?
Try looking at your documents and look for the guild wars 2 folder and open it. you should see the local.dat there. below average must have installed guild wars 2 on the documents folder so he had only 1 folder for the game and local.dat
the game is nearly unplayable for me. daily dodging is a big pain!! globe user in the Philippines. it’s been MUCH worse this time.
Am I the only one in Philippines using globe that has issues?
have you updated your drivers?
I am from the Philippines I never “lagged” before, but now I can’t even play because of the 5- 10 secs (maybe longer ) delay. PLEASE FIX THIS
I’m from the Philippines too. been experiencing lag for the past weeks. it was fine a couple months. i experience 1-5 secs of delays. it is pretty annoying.
been experiencing that too. I’m from SEA playing on a US server. everything stops for a sec then speeds up.
