I dont want to open new thread for this so here i go. Med kit is the most useless thing ever done to engineer! First of that number 1 skill is hilarious. So little heal that its absolutely waste of time. (Think what all u can do during that time u do 80 heal to ally). Secondly, all skills are thrown now and animation is so slow that u end up throwing them behind you. And now speedy kits is gone and this is supposed to be our way to gain speed. In wvw you need alot speed as an engi to keep up with anything. How they end up messsing up the old med kit even more useless?

It rocks ur enemies socks. Isntant suicide to use flamer in WVW. thought ANET could figure this out and do somethin but NO. FT is compeletey useless now.

Hipshot is sunk into heavies. My post was ment for organized zerg wvw battles. (Thus our condis are useless) Current meta is stun fest and power crit ppl down. We are so far behind in this. My best wish would be that ANet makes the game more intelligent so it would suite versatile engineer but i doubt it. We need more power and working FT. Juggernaut nerf was done so early that they didn’t realize what they did to us.
I would like Anet to see do something! We are so out of current meta! Some hamsters make decent builds but we are way off! Our auto attacks need serious buffs.
I would love the in that necros boot who feared whole blob down. I bet he cant sleep in few days of thinking this glory. Fear works as intended!
Im using knight gear power ferocity toughness and have traits in alchemy (boon duras rock) Survability is same as pvt but damage is much higher in my opinion.
- every class special wvw skills (engi siege mastery? etc.)
- players cant brake gates, only siege
- golems are nice in time when theres not much ppl but can really f up the game in prime time. (removal or some changes?)
- supp camps supply regen faster for faster gaming
- completely outmanned servers (especially night time rolled servers) some kind of “Call to arms” NPC elite fighters (if top tier castle u cant solo or duo it)
- sieges wont time out. Who really wants them to time out? constant tickin and watchin over them just brings unnecessarily stress to game. Whats done is done!
- Defend tower wpx. Seriously Anet, ur rewarding just makes all go blobbing. More in the blob more wpx you gain. Give defense event more wpx. Or all events to have higher rewards but its divived between players doing it (bigger the zerg, smaller the glory). I don’t know if it’s possible to do…
Scrap the entire mode, go back to drawing board, use all the info from past CDI’s, use a Beta test server and work out ALL bugs before release.
Billions times this! In beta wvw looked like a real beta map. I was kinda schocked that it was the way it would be next 2 years or so.

So projectiles are ranger and ele? Since when they were our issue? Ive met one ranger in this game who owned me hands down. And he owned alot of ppl. We are alredy rangers antitoxin. We need defense vs melee kitten !!
Modified ammu work with FT too? might stackin FT + modi ammu would be intresting. I roam with condi necro.
U can grind! All the champs in frostgorge sounds for hours and hours. Wait till they find out a bot system that auto wp and auto attack for you. Then you going to be rich. And if tired of grinding champs u can always grind same dungeon again again and again. Or u can just do some random orr grind.
Openin make’s no sence. Im pure wvw player wheres my legendary? Why i must grind pve for it so long?
Anet being clueless of engineer is big issue now when this game turned into korean grindfest with ascended armors. All long term engineer name how many exo sets you have (mostly bought after every new patch). I basically have every single one of them. Now with ascended we are stuck to one build and can just wait till anet change the meta of that build completely.
Thus asking which ascended set u would make?

Being slow wasnt problem because for example poison grenade had surprise factory in it. (no aoe damage red sign) Youl could throw them in to enemy zerg waterfields and enemies tried to heal themselves as poisoned. Now the fly time is like 3 seconds and only a kitten or afk player stay in there. GG anet
So basically nades that take long time to land in wvw get nerfed again and some hilarious “updates” to stuff that is not viable. (turrets range).
Superior sigil of torment is excellent it procs all time. Currently im running with power tough vita gear, p t crit% trinkets and zerker amulet and rings. PVT is good for gettin hit by retaliation. It’s pain but it never kills me. Skills are nade kit, elixir B for toss stability and tool kit for shield. Should i replace tool kit with elixri gun as im staying more in backline? (condi removals and ranged aoe retaliation)

30 Shrapnell, shortfuse, grenadier
15 Precise sights
0
15 Protection and ofcourse after patch 100 % change to change condi into boon
10 (speedy kits)
Im droppin speedy kits and need an advice where to put them. Coated bullets would be nice.
well glad for bombermen. Rifle engis on other hand still absolutely nothing. Speedy kit change sounds like a nerf but we will see. crit on burn was kick in the balls. Seriously Anet you only think of one build when u modify this class?
So are we back in nade spamming with 30/30 0 0 10 modified ammo and grenadier?
Tools master trait Armor mods is just so bad joke. Worst buff of the game aegis with so big cooldown! Any single hit trigger aegis away even rangers first auto attack that doesnt even scratch.

Elixir B should be kitten . And with traits it would be awesome! Thrown stability and and miz in elixir gun for reta fields.
Intresting for WvW’s sake. Is throw elixir B 2 second stability? or somethin usefull? With these uprages im tempted to test bomb kit, elixirgun, elixir B. (if toss skill is real).

damage redcution on stun is useless too. If you get 2 w or guardian on you it doesnt matter what u do = 100% death we have 0 ways to counter good timed CC. Even on tanky pants build hp melts like snow in sunlight and ofcourse 0 stability makes the things even more great for us. Engineer is in deep kitten. Anyone else thinks different is guardian.
This should be sticky – stickied to anet devs forhead! Engineer is so far off from others in organized gameplay. I tried healbombs too but as was mentioned they become uselss because of 0 ways to get stability. Retaliation issue has been on since start and nothing has been done. Other classes get fixes all time but engineers base mecanics are still in alpaha beta level. (How can you get more dmg from your own attacks than deal to enemy! That’s just very low level dev work! admit it ANet and fix it!)
Hopefully hammer and maybe mace would bring more variations to obtain combo fields in future.

unblockable meaning it cannot be blocked by warrior/engi shield skills or aegis.

Yup, feeling all the great “fixes” on this class in serious matter GvG. I personally rely on FT, heal turret, boot and aim for rets and aoe heals but as mentioned other classes do them way much better and our combo fields are just bad jokes. Heal turrets waterfield 1-2 seconds is just lame BS! All good things on engi was nerfed (aoe stealth time on bomb, heals on super elixir, heal turret and so on) and given all gimmick stuff for small scale stuff. Playing engi on serious guild and i feel sometimes more of a burden than a member of guild. Please anet start making engineer master of something!!
bump! Theorycrafting started long ago. Anyone have finished their celestial + divinity? What hp u stand? armor? tough? attack? condi dmg?
Im about to start to do celestials too but before spendin trillion on divinity I want to see some samples of this working. Im planning to use pp/+s , elixir gun/ft , tool kit , heal turret and boots for bye bye move. + another blast finisher for aoe heal.

War, TEO and the other one (forget the name) might have left but i dont care. I unlike them wont be running to a bigger server because they dont like having to FIGHT and dont always win.
@Hule even before these guilds left 90% of the time we had the Out numbered “buff” (what a joke, its USELESS!) The only time we didnt is when was were facing 2 of the “worst” (they just lacked numbers) servers.
Big talk from person who knows nothing. TEO and WAR were pretty much formed from pre-start as small guilds. WSR had one big high level guild We vanquish the Worlds that carried the heavy load. They moved to higher grounds and TEO was thinking too. But we stayed and grew much much stronger and so did WAR. This still wasn’t enough. Later on new guild We be chilling entered the ring and for me it was only reason not to leave in jan-feb. “Lets still try..” We soon noticed our numbers of organaized players were so few. WSR is pve server afterall. We did try a year and now it’s time to move on. I really love being in gunnar in firs time in year having equal fights that i was basically never able to do in WSR. Good luck with struggle in WSR but if you run out of juice your more than welcome join roams with TEO/WAR & WBC and many many others who moved to gunnars. It’s a game let’s play it!

In GVG u dont use siege. (GVG are set matches between guilds held somewhere hidden in borderlands where its 20v20 / 25v25 or so.)

Engi needs so much rework, After ranger revamp we are now the weakest wvw class and surely just burden in serious GVG. (im not intrested of ur silly solo roamer stuff)

Yup dovrak put it well necro weakness is mobility. Fighting necro as engi is very straightforward. Push the tempo! Rush in and burst burst! If Necro control tempo ur changes are plain 0%. Engineer has no cleanses if u dont like elixirs or doing combos is too slow vs Necro condi stacks.
Realwvw again! Great small-midrange battles all around. Expecting great week.

Hopefully there will be new mass pvp mode in fall. WvW is gone down to sewer’s. Brainless blobbin on wood villages with golems. Mostly everyone avoids any battle to not disturb farming. New game mode or about to pack my things. GW2 was so much better before ascended grinding and this new “system”.
Why an earth make new professions when alot need to be fixed in old ones. GW2 has right amount of professions. Just add traits and skills for more variety.
This thread is long, but I will add something anyway XD.
It seems fighting against higher rating servers you still gain overall rating points somehow even though you lose totally in game for the whole week.
On the other hand, you lose ratings somehow against servers who has lower ratings even though you mark all 4 maps with your color most of the time.
So, it’s strange really. It’s almost like you want to fight tough opponents if your server want to gain ratings. But due to the nature of the random match each week, you will gain/lose rating ever other week (in average). So I wouldn’t be surprised the total rating would look similiar to what it is today after a few months/years.
So this new matchup system is more of giving a chance to let people fight different servers. That is all. On the good side of this, when fighting tough servers, you practice defense the whole week. When fighting week servers, enjoy zerging with karma train.
It seems to me HC and casual players will take turn to have their good time.
Though I have no idea how it works for the buttom tier servers. Maybe old/new systems make no difference to them?
In EU this just sucks. tier 8 and 7 and one of tier 9 started to have really good fights. Noob-zerg-trains couldnt take a thing, u actually needed to know how to play. I have lost every intrest to wvw because of this new retarted match up. All tactical parts of game are dead.
1. Its nice to have items for achievements.
2. I understand your concern. If the achievement tiers are way too high for casual players these momentary achievements give too big fore-start.
3. They shouldn’t add new “content” this often but to focus on what we have and add few well designed dungeons. (like molten dungeon, it started to have potential but why an earth it was removed?)
I would like to see Dynamic events have some meaning again. They should make DE bosses like they were in beta. Remember fighting fire shaman who wiped 6-8 mand squad out and you had to request help. Add in laurel or piece of x that will make ascended items. (no need for this stupi daily grind)
One more reason to leave your smaller server. At lower tiers you are very good to have 15 000 kills. WVw achievements need 250 000 kills. That means around 15 more years for me. All WvW achievements can somehow be done in top tiers. Rest can just dream on. I’ll start look for constant battle tiers.
The game has turned very stupid. Big server PVE farmer train blobs everything and anything. WvW is my only game mode i like in GW2. I loved it infact. Now its been compeltely ruined for me and all other smaller servers that even try be serious. I can’t see long future for WvW with this current matching system.
Yeah current match making sucks so hard that soon most lower to mid tier get tired of being stomped and want to move bigger servers.
