I now have sunrise on my mesmer, I have traded it between the characters to test it out on my guardian, but I am keeping it on my mesmer

With a few transmution stones, that can be altered :P
and yes yes, people always yell at me telling me now it’s not legendary status, and now it won’t upgrade when ascended weapons come out, and I have three answers to that :
1- All of the grinding and work I did was for the weapon skin- not the pretty purple name.
2- When ascended weapons come out, I will get one and use another stone, not a problem.
3- Anet claims they are working on this to be a fix, however we will never know how long this will take
The question is very simple. It is just that I see so many guardians and warrior with twlight and sunrise and never a mesmer…I understand that there are probably more guardians and warriors in the game and that there is a motion to the attacks that make the legendary seem more worth while.
Basically, I am asking if you had a legendary GS, would you put it on a mesmer even if you a guardian and/or warrior alts?
My guardian was my main, he has 100% map completion and all my titles and stuff, however I now have sunrise on my mesmer, I have traded it between the characters to test it out on my guardian, but I am keeping it on my mesmer

If you transmute it, why wait for ascended? It will make little difference if you transmute exotic now and ascended later when avaible.
Because the point of us doing all of the work to get the legendary means we won’t have to grind or do whatever is required to get that ascended weapon, plus wouldn’t have to pay the extremely high gem conversion rates for another fine transmution stone. The point of the matter is that now we need to obtain a new weapon when we should have to
tldr; Anet announced this will be fixed eventually and should not need to worry
just ate 31 gold. this game is absolutely ridiculous, hf losing more customers because last time this happened the only thing they did was take the TP down and not even apologize to all the players.. dont expect re-payment

Yes after hours talking to old Gw1 Gwamm friend in vent last night, who stopped playing a few weeks ago, l’m thinking the frustration level is reaching a peak too.
Bored with levelling alts over the same grind cause l hate Orr drops, Dragon drops that don’t cover cost to travel there, porous bones and the same boring mobs over and over. So sick of OP risen maniacs on speed with spectral grasp and insane aggro ranges.
Not interested in doing OP dungeons, armor repairs and broken events when so much content is still broken since release so yeah, glad l’ve plenty happening in RL to keep busy. I’m playing less and less every day.Anet. Read this. Its not just one players feelings. Its not just mine and his. Its almost the entire community that feels this way.

I wouldn’t say OP dungeons, I do all of them everyday basically, except COE path 1 (bugged) and CoF path 1 (grenadiers OP) but other than that, seriously cut the kitten with these WP costs and having an MMO with the absolute worst chest loot EVER.

Will be leading it again tonight @ same time, 5p PST/8p EST. Yesterday surprised me with how the first half of his hp went so slow, second half ramped up hard. The time before that I had tried to announce the acolytes, but couldnt due to chat suppression. Unluckil, several spawned right next to him & he nomnomed one else it would have succeeded then.
oh well. be there tonight if you can.
1) rez the downed only
2) run back ASAP if you die
3) ignore the champion
4) burn those vet acolytes mobs immediately when they spawn
5) ranged weapons can help keep you from dying to stomping attk & make seeing the red circles of death easier.See you tonight team.

This is all I need for legendary, and it has been. Arenanaet claimed it has been fixed but clearly it has not.
We are being ignored as usual and they do not care about us as a community, just pushing things out with even more bugs. Going down the drain, a month of one of the biggest bugs and instead of even answering us on the forums or posting anything at all about it, they put out lost shores with 100000 times more bugs. When a mesmer has completed 100% world they get the star above their name, like everyone else.
However this star is not displayed above the heads of clones we send out, and we are instantly picked out from the crowd. Isn’t the point of a mesmer to confuse the enemy?

I get it that there are limited amount of items in the game, but great sword to me doesn’t quite fit the Mesmer theme. Mesmers seems more akin to the intellectual type than the brute force type. A great sword is for whacking and slashing. But we Mesmers fire laser out of their great swords as their main mode of attack.

Why not just use rifle? We already use pistols for offhand. Why not just make a mainhand (DW) pistol?
Want to stick with a 2handed ranged weapon so it doesn’t impede on older slot, but stick with non-tech theme? How about a bow?
The attack animations could very well be applied to these other weapons with minimal change. Phantasms are basically the same anyway, so you could very well leave that. The 3rd slow could be modified to show arrows/explosions/etc jutting off from the ground instead of a sword’s tip, and we can call it a day.

It has been fixed, and yes it is always the case.
Actually, I did this an hour ago on a level 80 Mystic Sword. I also plan on doing it with my Sunrise when I get it next week.
Say you have a mystic sword on a mesmer you want on a guardian (My case) what you do is use a fine trans. stone (on the mesmer) and copy the skin (only) onto a low level white item , typically bought from the TP for about 2s. Now the mesmer would have a white sword with the desired skin on it. (The weapon will still say soulbound). Put the sword into the bank and go on the character you would like it on. Even though the weapon is soulbound, now that it is on the white item, you will be able to retrieve it and use another stone to put that skin onto the weapon you would like it on. Then equip it and voila, you have your new weapons skin
This can also be done with armor

What would be better for Blink is to keep it targeted, but if you click outside the target range, in the “red” zone, it blinks you to the maximum distance instead of denying you the use of the skill.
THEN Blink would be perfect.

That’s about 1/2 of the mesmer ground target skills (mind stab, null field, time warp, and blink) Don’t forget: Veil, Focus 4/Into The Void (name eluding), Chaos Storm, and some racial abilities. I do agree though that Blink is perfect as is regarding it’s range/movement to ground target setup.
The Blink/surf bug is a minor issue and no where near a high priority considering all the other “issues” the Mesmer has.
who said anything about ground targeting besides blink?
I wish they would just make blink teleport you a fixed distance in whatever direction you want to travel (mouse, dpad, or arrow depressed).
Requiring it be targeted adds two encumbrances which make it difficult to use when its most needed.
1 – the time taken to move the mouse to where you want to go when it’s supposed to be an “oh **** that warrior’s unleashing 100 blades!” button.
2 – the distinct possibility you will target an area with your cursor OUT OF RANGE and therefore nothing will happen, again leaving you eating another precious few seconds in a hundred blades.
I’m sorry but that is a HORRIBLE idea. How about situations where you are trying to blink somewhere specific and now you would be thrown somewhere too far or somewhere where you don’t want to go. While in pvp when my friend goes down I go into stealth and blink to him to rez, now if I had no control I would stealth and blink into a mob of enemies and un-stealth into death. Not only this but while in pvp I use a sword/pistol combo and I use my illusionary leap and immobilize them and use skill #2 to do damage, since I used my leap I then use decoy, and blink directly next to them to get a few more hits. Having no control over where you blink would be a major problem, you might just need more practice using the mouse and keyboard at the same time.
PS Hundred blades is a stand-still skill so a simple roll will solve your issues, no need to use a utility.
Also if you go into options you can enable easy target or something, where when you use the skill it will go to where your mouse is looking at. So if you skill it properly that would eliminate your problems.

Thing is, i dont really have good idea how to set system to make this work.
Main thing is i wanted to see if ppl would care to help others.
If we would get bunch of ppl into this, we would need to get really good RNG system so that ppl on list get same chance.
Plus, how to chose who eligible for entering lottery ?
so if anyone would have good idea , hell, even if mods would help us with topic in some ways , it may just work.
And most important i dont wish to make this be in any way begging for items/money, more like , “help me if you can and make me smile for a day”.
You could do something along the lines of telling people to post on the forum with a screenshot of the items they have so far towards the legendary. Make a minumum requirement X amount of gifts or gold spent towards the legendary and proof to show it. Then count the number of posts, and how many are eligible and put them all into excel with numbers. Then use a RNG program to select a random number and boom.
and for a sidenote, just a personal standpoint, it would make me smile alot more than a day
well I see in my situation I have spent over 250 gold and I have 100% map and half the karma I need, now I need to finish my karma, get 95 icy runestones (95 gold) and 100 charged lodestones, (180 gold) and the precursor (300 gold) :/. I have made every other gift and have 400 weaponsmith/armorsmith..I consider myself somewhat close to it and help would absolutely be appreciated. This weapon is the Sunrise and I don’t see it as end-game. I enjoy this game very much and I would continue on dungeoning and working on my alts, and of course this is the only legendary I will be making. Also if anyone was willing to help I would be glad to help pay them back when I have the funds to do so.
Screen- for those of you who don’t know these gifts are very expensive and a big gold sink
I am very dedicated towards this weapon and like I said help would be appreciated

My dungeon experience last night:
(1) Sit in Lion’s Arch saying in /map, “Level 80 LFG for any dungeon”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~number/difficulty of bosses defeated once he/she was in the group … but he/she received the full number of tokens for “completing” the dungeon path*They could just make it so you can’t kick people in dungeons unless they are offline.
for reference, I was kicked in Arah and the same thing happened to me, I just posted about it a couple scrolls up.
Kicks need to be there for people who are not helping, AFK, or doing stupid things. Its a must, but just as I am, I’m sure he is more disappointed he got no tokens for leading up to that more than mad for getting kicked in general. I am not doing a dungeon again until they put tokens back in, if they don’t, so be it.
I just wanted to update everyone on where we stand with this. So far we have found a single bug with the system that is causing certain players to get stuck in a state of reduced rewards without actually exploiting. A fix for this has already been made and is being tested locally now. We are going to do more significant testing on this new version but we also believe it is more bulletproof to begin with. Please keep posting data as these cases are somewhat rare and are hard for us to find with internal testing but seem to be exposed quickly when thousands of people are playing the dungeons.
All rewards are susceptible to our code that is dealing with people who are speed clearing dungeons. This means that if you are speed clearing and then play some new chain for the first time it may not reward the full 60 tokens. If you find yourself getting less rewards consider whether or not your rate of dungeon completion is extremely high.
If you think you are running at a fairly reasonable pace post all of the chains you have run and the time of day they were completed and we will file it to try and figure out if it is a bug. Please post accurate times, otherwise we cannot determine if there are in fact bugs in the system. Please continue to use this thread as a place to post this data so that we have it all in one location.

Please define how fast is fast for a speed clearing ? we do the dungeon normally and we are killing things fast due to gears and spec or techniques how is it suppose that we kill all mobs and then sit for 20mins infront of main boss before killing him is that considered not speed clearing?
if you’re too fast you’re exploiting. that’s their stance obviously: causing certain players to get stuck in a state of reduced rewards without actually exploiting
well i dont think i m exploiting it tho by clearing a dungeon within 30mins its reasonable.
certain places like cof path 1 its pretty fast just ned the dps and able to coodinate
so i dont see thats exploiting ?
u penalise players for clearing the dungeon fast ? lol i agree if u want to prevent farming by putting a dungeon timer
but u expect us to finish a dungeon we can finish 20-30mins to do it in 1hour ? just to make it same lvl than those who cant do it ?

the only reason to have said system in place is in case people found a glitch again thus completing a dungeon in a shorter time than intended, but it also affects people that are able to clear it fast legitimately. which also answer why there is an abysmal amount of high-hp trash – they don’t want people to clear them fast. I don’t know, but how about nerfing the trash (or remove it alltogether) and reduce the rewards? wouldn’t that make more sense? you can still have the same reward/time ratio with all that annoyance.

dungeons in gw2 are not supposed to be run in pugs, but “skill organized groups”. don’t shoot the messenger, that’s what a.net said.
hence no need/greed etc (I love getting soulbound runes I don’t need on my char, which I can’t even use on another OR give to someone else) or a reward system that makes more sense for pugs.
“A skill organized group”. I sat in front of the dungeon for 30 minutes prior asking about traits and skills running to make sure we knew what we were doing. Now if by skill organized you mean friends or people I know, that is once again absurd that is required to do a dungeon. Rewards should be given for effort and time, not completion.
Well they are also going to add tokens to random drops, so that should alleviate this issue.

I was in a run for 5 hours in Arah, and at the last boss, I was kicked so that a guild mate of the people I was with could take my place, kill the last boss and receive 60 tokens. I understand you have no control if they kick me or not, but what you DO have control of is the 5 hours I spent are shown by whites, blues, and one yellow drop. I received no tokens whatsoever, and someone who jumped in for maybe 15 minutes got all 60 tokens. I wouldn’t even be posting this if I received my tokens for the bosses leading up to this because that is a simple misunderstanding, but the system you have in place is absurd, and I know how many players you have lost because of it.

Unfortunately, yes. And Anet is is supporting the ones who are doing it by granting the bonus that high and taking the work ethic away. It should be how it used to be with 5 tokens per chest and the 40 bonus for the end boss, not limited to the end. But they seem to not care what the players want anymore, it’s all about them.

you need to be in the zone before it is nighttime or near nighttime and stay in it, leaving or zoning into others will turn it off. It is very annoying and disheartening seeing all the work we put into it. Also is should glow when in AC, and we get none of that. But this game is full of bugs and problems being fixed by adding more problems :/.
2) Dungeons reward 20 tokens for completion and now reward an additional 40 tokens for the first time they are completed each day.
This should be in addition to what you receive in chests.
This is very true and would be greatly appreciated if you take note to it. It’s not fair whatsoever for us who spend more silver on repairs and our time, but simply cant beat the last part of a dungeon to suffer. This seems silly and needs fixing.
