No matter how they’re introduced capes will never be loved by all players. At best you’d get 99.99% because I really couldn’t care less about them. I’m not against them being in the game, but if people didn’t keep going on about it I would never have thought about the fact they aren’t. So if they were added the best they’d ever get from me is “Oh ok, one less reoccurring forum topic”.
Also if you know the issues with clipping and animation you should also know that it’s not something Anet can just snap their fingers and fix. I’m sure if it was that easy they’d have done it already but I’m equally sure all the people wanting capes would rather not have them than have terrible, broken capes that just look ugly or like a weird glitch following you around.
Guild halls….again I feel like I somehow missed something here in GW1. None of my guilds ever really used the guild hall. Sure it was sometimes nice to be able to push a couple of buttons and go to a town with all the different merchants available right there, but you could do the same with map travel and in this game by going to any major city.
I’m not sure what everyone elses guilds did with their halls that made them so desirable (other than GvG), but mine never had much use.
I have been in 2 guilds in my whole gw1 ‘life’, played gw1 since beta and the guilds I have been with made such good use the Guild Hall for hosting events, meeting up with alliences and bring parties for the Guild Members alone, that it made us all feel very close and loyal to the guild.
If you found a guild with a good core, and you will find the luxury of a Guild Hall, you’re settled.
GvG’s would be optional and/or for later patches (if it would even get into the game).
The capes in GW1 always brought some kind of special thing to guilds, people didn’t only see your tag, but also your Guild Logo.
Why bring a guild emblem into a game at all if there’s no way but displaying it by buying some stupid ugly guild armor that 99,8% of all players doesn’t use…
My point is, capes and guild halls can bring some sort of loyalty to the community, it would make alot of issues with people hopping from guild to guild dissappear.
Dear Anet,
Ever since the beta I’ve loved playing this game and pretty much every thing about it.
Some patches hitted harder then others, balance is far from right but that’s not why I’m here. The only thing I want to ask is WHEN will we finally see Guild Halls and Guild Capes?
I know the issue with clipping for capes etc. but it shouldn’t be to hard to finally open your ears to the community who begs for both of these since the start of the game.
I would love to see them appear at some point in some magnificent kind of way which is liked and loved by all players, which will most certainly happen. But 2 years and still nothing?
2 years is a long time.. in gw1 they were the base and the strength of a guild, the heart where every member could meet up, guild and allience only.
Not even making complaints about the community, but Guild Halls would strengthen the community and loyalty to guilds ALOT. It grows bonds.
Please just reconsider the importance of your patches and what you bring into it.
I love the Living Story, but not as much as I love to see an appearance of Guild Halls and Guild capes.
Regards,
I do have 63 stacks. How and why doesn’t matter, my thoughts were, Anet still haven’t planned on the ‘coming’ crafting profession which would come sooner or later.
Since they depar (reverse) me before on crafting materials I just wanted to make sure I had all I could possible charge ^^.. Now I know this amount is ridiculous, and yes, it’s 63stacks of crystals, which is 250 per stack.
Still not getting to my point, why not just charge all we want since they’re account bound still?
I’d like to get a serious answer from a dev or something.. acc bound means no harm, does it?
Today I was hoping to transfer my 63 stacks of Quartz Crystals into: Charged Quartz Crystals.
Now, I went to a ‘place of power’ , stood there to wait and transmute 25 into 1 Charged Quartz Crystal, all fine and well, untill.. I found you can only transmute 25 into 1 charged PER DAY.
This means I have to wait exactly 630 days… to transmute all of them.
630 days.
630 days.
Let me be clear, 630 DAYS TO TRANSMUTE.
Dear Anet, PLEASE reconsider your 1 per day limit.
This is NUTS.
Have a nice day.
There will be new armors and weapons, and also a new backpiece will be introduced!
All of this will come ALMOST free to you!
Only 800gems per piece.
Enjoy this week of Gemstore Madness brought to you by Anet!
Happy LS2 !
Bring us back this 1 memory from GW1, and blow us all away.

^nuff said?
Back to the pre-patch gameplay. kitten condi and heal/survival builds. Bring back oldschool reliable damage and fun dps. kitten this whole new condi kitten it’s CRAP.
So if I get it right, there STILL won’t be Guild Halls and/or Guild Capes added to the game?
Anet, please, this mask is amazing only IF it could be dyable, PLEASE…. MAKE IT DYABLE… caps has never worked so far but just for the idea q.q…
Give us the option to colour atleast the glow part..
Since Factions (Cantha Release) won’t probably go live thanks to the Korean stuff that won’t/can’t be added thanks to NCSoft, then yes, Utopia will make a big chance to go live instead of a release they can’t make yet everyone begs for.
Utopia seems to be a nice way to expand GW2 and it has been long planned in gw1 but didn’t go live anyway. They might have reworked and refined what they already had. Aetherblades, flying air ships, the amount of technology we have in this game atm and so much more will be available in Utopia (if it will hit the world of gw2 ofcourse).
It would be THE spot where scarlet could’ve found and forged her army together, I mean.. the Aetherblades can’t just pop out of the moon and fly airships to Tyria, ay?
Was that an satisfying ending? **SPOILERS**

She’s a plant, she’ll just regrow or have tiny little plants elsewhere already
Nothing against bringing some nostalgic items into gw2, infact, thanks Anet!
But…
PLEASE, resize the Tormented Shield.. it’s way to small compared to the Guild Wars 1 Model. It needs atleast x1,5 size increase to match it..
Next to that, kitten happened to the sword? Why can’t we still just use a spear ABOVE the water (since that skin is pretty kitten perfect), and what the flying monkey happened to the focus o.O?
Again, thanks for bringing more gw1 into gw2, but please.. do something about your designs!
-Wrong place to add this reply, I’m aware of that.
-Good place to mention it and make people vote it up elsewhere.
Greetings
Guild Wars 1 in Guild Wars 2 graphics would’ve been enough for me to buy it really.
Some reason:
- Guild Halls
- Guild Capes
- Alliance Battles
- HoH
- REAL community
- Luxon/Kurzick, and every single form of PvP those brought with them
- FACTIONS / NIGHTFALL
Want more? Give me a few hours
Just please.. ever since release MANY players are waiting for both, I don’t care about issues and glitches, get it done.
