Should have orb timers just like Temple of the silent storm has with the buffs. Would increase teamfights no doubt, also it could give more than 30 points depending on the duration for the respawn. I don’t like the fact it’s up when you come out of the spawn with ele’s instantly getting it. If you play no ele you’re clearly in disadvantage of 30 points right at the start
Although this should work by class and not by account :/ Obviously some classes are better than others at different things. Would actually help developing the so called “meta”.
Alright. You’ve got your build. You have your 5-person team, and you’re really good at working together. You want a place to train. You want a place to challenge other teams (and by challenge, I mean you wanna slap down those punks who were talking trash in that tournament you just played!!!). You want the ability to play only the maps you want to play. You want a place where you and your friends can play without random people jumping in on the game. What do you do? You rent a custom arena.
Custom arenas are special PvP maps, rented by players, that will allow you to set up passwords, host scrims, and test strategies with your team. This will allow you to challenge other teams, work on your builds in secret, and test your skills 1-on-1 with friends. You can open the server up to everyone and set the map rotation you like best, or keep your arena password-protected so it serves as your private training ground.
We expect custom arenas will be a massive boon to the sPvP community. These rentable arenas will allow you to break up into teams, have a place to call your own, and allow you to organize your own private tournaments. You can customize the arena the way you want it (within established parameters), and you can select which maps to play on.
In a future blog post, we’ll talk about custom arenas in a lot of detail, and we’ll talk about all the settings available on them, as well as how you rent them!
Custom arenas are one of the key features that will help GW2 sPvP grow, but it’s not the only one. Which leads us to…
Don’t wanna despise you but I think Arenanet should be the ones making us pvp players surveys instead of only the monthly State of the game whereas only 2-3 players join in and can never express every single community concern and transmit all our thoughts like we can through this way. Good innitiative! Arenanet should show more interest by following small examples like this and collect decent data.

I created a second video where I play a 3 round tournament and both spirit watch and battle of khylo have no issues, when it comes to temple the story is completely different. You can get out of blue base if you go up on the house thing and then to the rock on the right and you go through something that should be “solid”. You can go all around the background even swim and such. I just wasn’t aware you could actually get on the enemy base. Same doesn’t happen from red to blue
1) How about merging EU and NA together because of the lack of people both regions experience at the moment and with that providing a world “rank” and not two sepparate.
2) Remake rewards so there’s actually a point in playing PvP in this game. Before we had 3 round paids which people would come to play just those even if it was during 3-4 hours everyday.
3) Possibility of introducing a daily 16 team, 4 round tournament with Temple of the Silent Storm in the map rotation. Even if it only opens once a day, it’ll be worth it and bring more people into it (expecting decent rewards like old 3 round paids).
I reported this to Jon Sharp weeks ago. They are aware of the bug.
But did he confirm it to be a bug? Because, it is not really a bug; there is a very logical reason why it occurs.
It’s not supposed to happen, you can define it however you want^^. I didn’t report it on forums so that people wouldn’t start abusing it since I saw it happening once or twice in front of me but they didn’t know how it happened. Well now.. embrace yourselves for more Elementalist QQing or avoid killing tornados (hopefully only till the 26th).
I wouldn’t change the scoring system. Its the same for both teams. Why would a team that got 2 points only earn 1 point per second after some time? They just played better and conquered those points so they deserve to be getting more points. The other team just has to organize itself and regroup for an attack instead of right after respawning going 1 by 1 and getting even more point difference by being killed. The points are hard to conquer but not that hard to neutralize. And if your team doesn’t win 1,2,3 teamfights obviously they’ll lose the game and the other team shouldn’t be punished for keeping the 2 points the whole game.
I have a quite good example of a turn around when we were losing by 200 points (140-340) and we managed to win (500-454). It’s not impossible but its really hard, specially on Khylo. If you want I can link you a vid
There’s no way to get gems through PvP no more?
I’m not really interested about the amount but at least give the people who only PvP a chance of getting any.. PvE keeps winning

i dont like the 1 week rotation maps. i prefer system randomly gives you a map from a pool everytime you register to 1v1.
this way meta evolve, don’t letting him expect the map and abuse advantages.
Biggest thing to take away – the format is moving from 8 teams to 2 teams. Other changes will also be coming. Watch for the blog.

does this mean that PvP players won’t get access to gems, opposing to PvE players? I don’t care about the amount to be honest but you took the PvP players the chance they had in getting any.
Maybe this post shouldn’t go here but I suppose Anet is focusing on this post more than others.
Could we get the option of choosing a map? Everything except raid on the capricorn. 1 v 1 is indeed popular but people are tired of playing the same map for a week and now having a double dose of it.
Nobody will be playing paids this way unless they’re just testing it. You don’t get to figure how competitive the map is because people just won’t bother spending 3 tickets for a chance of winning 1 QP and a silver chest. If you want this game to succeed you should know better..
I just don’t agree with the tickets part. I mean, we had to pay 5 to enter the possibility of 3 matches and now we pay 3 for just 1? Silly silly…
Every patch should be a balance patch.
You only had 1 balance patch since the game release, what makes you think every patch is going to be a balance patch? Just wait till they actually say “balance patch” before getting any hopes up next time.
