Axe wouldnt make sense at all, google barely shows any image of it.
Unless the axe/scythe would be chained (Kusari-gama) and then it would require 2 hands.

In WvW it isn’t needed either, just be in ts3 and you know where to go.

I think its only fair, any ascended backpiece requires you to do fractals in the first place.
I don’t have 500 huntsman either so I gave up at part 1.

I also suggested this a month ago and got linked to another topic of another month old.

“there’s dozens of threads that have already gone very in-depth on why this would be the worst thing to happen to the game.”

Worst thing to happen in the game ever…
Though you can already archieve it manually, so thats a wack argument.
But what if you just had to press a button to switch, in WvW it would only work inside keeps/towers and in Spvp its not possible.

In ff14 it worked a bit like that, if you changed classes in the big cities you had no CD on your cross-class skills, so maybe that could count for utility skills here

Which Build for WvW Roaming

in Thief

Posted by: luzt.7692

luzt.7692

I replaced my rings with cavalier ones, since rings are the easiest to obtain.
I also replaced my valkyrie pants with cavalier pants.
As some people stated, more toughness makes your heals more valuable.
And I run runes of the pack because I’m cheap.
About the builds they are prolly not set in stone, but the 1st is prolly better for solo roaming while the 2nd is better for small groups. But in a small group you might have easy acces to swiftness making the 6th rune bonus obsolete.

The little details that matter

Is “little details” a tongue-in-cheek thing here?

Thank you so much.

“Another ‘I want to play Guild Wars without actually playing Guild Wars/this game feels too much like it’s own, I want it to be like another’ thread.
Well, these are little detai—— that is quite the opposite of little. Is ‘giganormassive’ a word.”

Such comments really make me wanna vomit.
Imagine you clinging onto your gw2 :Please, I wanna stack in corners to kill stuff, I wanna do my 100 man zerg content, please leave my Gw2 alone it’s so unique!!!

Though I do agree that these aren’t really little details. To some these might look like an addition, for others this might make the game complete because they don’t find it finished right now.

And I found them all looking bad. And functionality? On one of the 8 classes these would have a “function”. Yes, I don’t see wizards, knights and ninjas with backpacks.
I much rather have some nice looking capes like they show in many of their artwork or Cabal Online style, but just put these ingame so ppl can roleplay going to school…

[SUGGESTION] Improve Party Kick System

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: luzt.7692

luzt.7692

Here’s how u can fix it. The person who creates the group is the party leader, full stop. That leader is marked somehow in the group for eg: has an asterisk against his portrait so everyone knows who the leader is. The only person who has the right to kick anyone is the leader. if you don’t like the leader then leave the group. If the leader gets dc.d the leadership automatically goes to the next most senior player in the group, ie: one that got invited first by the leader.

Since the abuse of kicking people at the final boss battles seems rife in this game, the party leader cannot kick anyone during the boss fight and till everyone loots their chest. Simple isn’kitten

You are being constructive at least, but this is quite possibly the worst solution you could come up with, since this allows the party leader to kick everyone at any time he pleases, only to proceed with other people as he pleases.

A system like this would be even more open to abuse than the current one.

Not if the kicking would still ask 3 out of 5 votes too.
In other games you also got a cooldown on kicking within the instance and atleast 5 minutes have to be passed before you can actually can request kick, out of combat has to be required too. Though this only solves 3 problems, kicking ppl just becuz of their class/AP (just the first 5 min of the instance? or after he/she joins?), kicking during combat, kicking multiple ppl in a row.

Sadly, it may have to be discussed...

Skins for siege weapons and stuff isn’t a really great incentive to enter and stay in WvW either.
Rewards for winning and penalty for losing should be bigger I think.
Do you have sleepless nights because you’re afraid the enemy will capture everything? Probably not. So make it that WvW actually matters, cause it barely matters right now.
Server bonus is cool, but you are still enjoying them even when you are losing and they don’t make the game unplayable either. Server pride? completely meaningless.

I was thinking about some server wide discount if you were too win.
Which has to have a bigger effect than the current server bonus.
Siege weapons and repairing walls could require 20~50% less supply in the next match up for a few days.
But to give pve players an incentive too, something like lowering the required dungeon tokens by 20%, maybe fractals too (though then the fractal shop has to be revamped first) Crafting requiring 20% less mats instead of x% to get critical craft/gather 1 extra node..
And possibly even lowering cash shop items by 10%.
To avoid everyone transfering to a winning server some features like increased cooldown on transfering or no transfer allowed during the discount period have to be added too.

suggestion: reward scouts

Sounds cool, kinda like Recon Perk in cod mw3.
Though to make it a bit harder and scouting more demanding,
enemy names shouldn’t be visible unless targetted/in melee range or spotted.
Because often its merely the enemy name plate that shows their location..

Saving Gear sets and Trait points

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: luzt.7692

luzt.7692

Hello everyone,
I’ve been playing FFXIV before I returned to Gw2 again.
While I found that ff14 was lacking alot of things it had one quality of Life feature that Gw2 is still missing.
And thats the ability to save gear sets, so you can switch out complete sets just by clicking on a button.
(this also went together with switching classes, but not necessarily)

In Gw2 they already made it possible to reset your Trait points on the go,
but you are still forced to reassign every single point again.

Some of my characters have 3-4 armor/jewelry/weapon sets, potentially forcing me to switch out 16-19 different items.(underwater included)
And occasionally it occured to me that I forgot to switch out one item or putting my weapon 1 and weapon 2 in the wrong slots aswell as jewelry that only replaces the same slot making me have to do it manually.

To avoid all this trouble you would have to implement a similair feature as the one that I described.
And I don’t see a reason why anyone would be against this.
But any feedback is welcome!
(Unless some non-argument like: go play ff14, not gw2)

Levels - why do we have them?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

luzt.7692

I like leveling, I am good at it xD But the levels in this game add to little, 1 trait point,1 skill point. In my opinion, poorly designed outfits that are all nearly identical from 1 to 79 aren’t a great motivation either. (While it is usually one of the biggest motivations for me to level along with new skills and new COOL looking weapons aka not the same skin you already had when you created your character..)

alternative skins for legendary weapons

luzt.7692

Agreed, I want to make a legendary too, have all the gifts except for the unique gifts since I don’t know which to make cuz I think they all look “meh”
In general the weapons design just looks really crap in this game.
Partly because they wanted western style skins and stuff, no asian :/

When you read Exotic, do you think about the far east? ’cause I do.

Engineers could be so much cooler if they designed them from a futuristic/mecha/laser approach. But no they make stupid bombs and flamethrowers, garbage steampunk kitten designs.

Being able to stack is wrong

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

luzt.7692

Alot of games actually have collision detection. Games with huge zerg pvp aswell. What if dodges (iframes) would make it possible to dodge through ppl/mobs likes in other games? In other games they don’t have collision detection in town, so thats an OBVIOUS solution to body-blocking-omg-waiting-in-a-line-infront-of-the-banker-bs. Just that every race could have its own hitbox size. Since Asuras are in fact smaller than Charrs. Increase the range of buffs and the size of some bosses and collision detection could be a viable feature. And I dont see why people would immediatly think that it means ranging everything. Stacking in a corner so bosses dont use certain skills haha ya thats exactly how Anet intented it, riiiight

Agreed, the exploding presents at the jumping puzzle are annoying. Unlike last year were fast ppl would have the advantage of them all being there. Now you have to wait for a person to basically sacrifice him/herself to recover all the presents for the other ppl waiting on the platform with Tixx. Really bad…

I'm done playing thief. How about you?

in Thief

I only use my thief for gathering mats and making deldrimor dowels. That’s it. :I

Thieves are OP for that, they need to slow down their crafting speeds they seem to be a bit faster than other classes… Especially when they stealth and craft, I hear they craft 100 items a second in stealth… they need to be nerfed.

Whaha xD

Back on topic, I made a thief, but never played it much beside getting it to 80.
Reading this topic its kinda confusing me, I dont really know with what weapons to roll with, let alone utilities and gears.

Do you remember when the game is started and the areas had a lot of player? I want it back!

I wish they merged some servers, I came back to the game after a 1 year break and transfered servers to play with a friend. Its so empty, eventhough the population says “High” but it feels like I am playing a co-op game with just my friend. Unless you’re doing champion train in Queensdale, but really is a game with this many maps supposed to evolve around a lv1~15 map? Anet do something about it!!!!

Pull the Trigger Option when Downed

in Suggestions

Posted by: luzt.7692

luzt.7692

As you can understand from the title of this topic, I would like to suggest that an option to kill yourself when downed would be a neat feature.
Due to the situations that occure generally more frequent in PvE than PvP, when you get downed and there is no way you would be able to get up anymore.
It happens often to me when I’m alone, get downed and I’m just waiting for the mob(s) to kill me.
I know it’s just 5 seconds or something that I have to wait till I get owned, but still it would be nice to have the option to give up immediatly.
I think it would be fair to keep this option out of the PvP field though, so people can still finish their downed enemies off.
