Dungeons can be rewarding without creating new gold into the economy. Suggested before, but I guess Anet doesn’t care.

Fractals?? Are kitten after HoT, higher gold and ascended drops isn’t gonna change it gameplaywise.
Unless you Play for rewards, like most people.
Once you get your reward the bliss will stay 5 seconds and you start looking for another way to earn your rewards.
Instead of enoying the road towards your goal.
Not in these fractals for sure.

Give us guitars, weaponholders, nice looking scarf with the ends hanging down your back and mini succubus/angel wings.

15% dmg increase on Heartseeker isn’t even that much, you act like its 150% dmg increase. Are you heartseeking for 10k everytime or something?
Auto-attack is almost as strong as heartseeking above 50%
I’m only heartseeking around 5k(crit) at the golem below 25%
15% increase would be a wooping 750 dmg extra

Too OP!!

May I add, True shot does more dmg, has a 3 sec CD, 1,200 range, pierces targets and doesn’t require the target to be below 25% HP to archieve it. Does take longer to cast.

Space between back and back items

Hello everyone,
I wanna talk about the back items, but mainly focusing on the Legendary Fracal back item and its precursors.

Unlike most, if not all back items aside from Toxic Spore, the legendary fractal back item is floating behind your back. There is quite a big space between your back and the back item. I find this unappealing.
I don’t really know the reason, since it doesn’t seem to be a clipping issue.
Though, what I do suspect is that the legendary version was designed first and the base of that version was used to design the precursors.
Perhaps it would be technically correct, yet aesthetically I find it looking bad.
(Also I personally don’t like the final version, I prefer the first (Finite Result), but the gap is clearly visible when wearing it).
And even the Fractal Capacitor doesn’t have this huge space, yet it’s supposed to be the same style.

Would there be a chance to lessen the gap between your back and the back items?
Now I’ll show you some visuals to emphasize it.

The guildsystem.
And alot more, but I’m thinking about it right now!

The multi-guild system blows, I like the guilds in other games way more.
You get a real guild feeling there. You can ofcourse archieve this too with 100% represent guilds.
But you can also archieve the same things multi-guild system provides with a Linkshell option from FF14. It basically lets you make a groupchat.

I don’t like that non-representing members can see what I say!
Some people are never representing, yet they see every word I speak in guildchat.
(Though I do block them then)
I don’t want some random eavesdropper, not that I’m so interesting.
But if they wanna talk with groups of friends or ppl for some specific content, an ingame groupchat sounds alot more practical than another guild.

Yep, I am disappointed, but I wasn’t really expecting much.

They did reduce the open space between your back and the wing, so thats a plus.

Could we have that on the Fractal legendary backpack too (and its precursors), please?

Good for you that you still can play that ruined content.
Haven’t entered fractals for 4 weeks.

The patch isn’t gonna make it relive its former glory.
People will still do easy fracs,
He didn’t mention anything about changing those stupid instabilities
Or about mobs hitting like wet noodles and we probably know why!
It’ll scare away some of the casual players that got into Fractals since HoT.
Check Fire shaman, 5 elementals during shield phase? too easy
Crits on Ice elemental and weak adds in snowblind frac? too easy
It is far away from the challenge it was before, even it was sometimes annoying with randoms. You can now ignore most the mechanics.

Extra gold rewards isn’t gonna make it fun again.
Let me mail you 100g, is mailbox suddenly the most fun content of Gw2? no

I was thinking to add 1 of the top 10~20? Superior Sigils or Runes to the final reward in a dungeon. The value in gold would be a bit random and it doesn’t create new gold into the economy. Aswell reducing the steep prices for some of the popular runes and sigils.
It would motivate players to do the dungeons again.

What do you think?

It isn’t strange, you just didn’t specify in what kind of way you earned your gold.
There is a difference between creating it out of thin air and earning it by selling something to other players, actually decreasing the total amount of gold in the economy (15% tax).

While HoT brought alot of opportunities to make gold off other players, the amount of gold you can make from stuff that doesn’t include >>>Selling<<< has decreased.

This topic and people making their strawman arguments of “It took 5 years to make my leggy” newsflash my friend alrdy got his Bifrost 1,5months after release.

Thats not the point tho, the point is that the longevity of the journey to the new legendaries is created by nothing else but putting a 24hour cooldown on every part. Cheap design, it’s ridiculous.

What’s funny is I can play half an hour on the new maps, get some events, open some chests, kill a few bosses and leave.

Only people who absolutely feel the need to maximize their achievements in each play cycle are forced to spend more than an hour.

I often log into the new maps for shorter periods of time, do a bit of stuff and leave. This whole having to stay the whole time is a bit silly, considering I’m always making progress.

Not everyone has to make progress at a record pace. I’m quite happy chipping away at things.

I’m glad you are happy with it, but such a strategy can’t really be applied to DS, you need to be there when it starts. You can’t just log in and do some events because you need atleast 15 players to start it.

You make it sound so extreme, that players who wanna succeed the meta event are trying to maximize their archievements. How would you progress if you aren’t atleast around a few times for the end of a meta event, unless you are talking about XP progression.

If you just do a few events it’ll prolly be on some megaserver that will be closed due to inactivity, because organized maps are usually a bit harder to get in, let alone log in by default. You do some personal progression by helping with events, but truthfully it’s in vain for the meta event.
This might not bother you, but I think it does demotivate players too.

If they need to they could easily add more nodes to the game simply by giving players who do not have it in their home instance another chance to earn it or just simply sell it in the Gem Store. That would/could be problem solved. I have a few stacks saved up simply from mining my home instance every day so I’m not concerned yet.

1 stack of quartz crystals is only good for 10 Leyline infused tools.
Celestial Insingia requires 125 Quartz crystals.
So unless you never crafted any of those you wouldn’t be concerned indeed.
And “few stacks” which basically translates into 1,5 year of farming your home instance everyday.

That’s a complaint I haven’t heard yet, lol.

Really? because people have complained about the fact that Fractals has changed into casual friendly. And if you are honest, thats true!

Now something personal:
Revenant has made combat more casual, you can stack boons without doing anything.
Counter-intuitive for organized teamplay I say. Might stacking the old way required some coordination.

Couldn`t be more accurate, everyday when I play my thief someone whispers me and say ‘’Hey man could! you help us on this raid with your super nice dps? Also if you could carry me on spvp because thief is just so usefull to everything on this game!! Wish my shiro had this dmg!!’’

And I fell bad when this happen because I know it is all because my class is just better than anyone elses, I just spam vaults and HS while everyone dies because my class is just so much better.

Unsustainable map design

It also sucks that on a rather empty Auric Basin map; before,during and after the Assault on Tarir there is such a long down time of events you can actually complete. You have like 30 minutes of no events. (Wacking the Octovine alone is pointless)

In Verdant Brink it takes a very long time to get a decent amount of airship parts. The Airship cargo usually give 3, but some times 25! Kinda big difference if you ask me.
When you complete an event you should get a bunch too.
Makes completing the events more meaningful, I guess it was meant to keep players on the map longer, but you need so much currency for every little thing and collections it gets really tedious.

I started Gw2 too as a ranger because I like bows so much and I was disappointed to find out the look of the Legendary longbow. It looks too fragile, the base is a thin twig that can be snapped easily. And I personally don’t dig the way the theme has been expressed.
I can see why others might find it appealing though, but I do hope they release a less soft looking bow.

Also the story behind a weapon doesn’t necessarily make it look better. You need to judge the appearance of a weapon by its appearance not by it’s story. The appearance should be epic on its own, it shouldn’t require a story. Ofcourse it does add another dimension.

Luckily there have been some longbow skins released that do please me.
Now I would just like to show you the bow that made me love em! (Silkroad Online)

Before HoT was released that_shaman datamined some awesome looking hammer.
By now we know it’s the greataxe Axemaster Hareth wields, but it hasn’t been available as a skin in game yet.

Most likely its the Mordrem Cleaver we have now, resized to a handaxe.
It’s 139g on the tradelist as of now, showing that it isn’t really liked by the Gw2 population. Compared to the Mordrem Saber, that has the value of a more populair precursor, its a disappointing skin. And it’s pretty clear to me that the Greataxe version would be much more populair than the handaxe.

Would there be a chance to still add the skin to the lootpool of DS final chest and Noxious pods ?

I am entitled to my VB Meta rewards but those raiders are not entitled to the entrance – they have the LFG tool. ANet, this is a real problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

I know you are just immitating someone.
And hopefully you can see the bigger picture, as in you being part of both the two groups you mentioned above. You can do raids and you can do the meta event, while doing the meta event doesn’t immediatly influence the results in Raids, it does vica versa.
I knew right away, that when I was standing at the raid entrance waiting for my party to gather, I was also taking up slots for the meta event going on.

None of the groups can be blamed. Only Anet can be blamed for this oversight and it should do the game and themselves good to come up with a solution as soon as possible.

Didn’t see any, unless you mean boonstripping.
Running sigil of nullification would be easier.
My guildmate went thief, he’s pretty skilled but he was dying alot and contributing nearly nothing, so I was glad I went with my Warrior.

I’m grateful for the changes, but some things have been overlooked.
Mainly the instabilities need to be looked at.
And the dmg output of the enemies.
Aswell as the ability to pick all easy fractals for dailies.
-suggestion: Make it impossible to do the same fractal twice in a row.
Give 1 token for every fractal, caps at 3 tokens.
Boss fractals only accesible with 3 tokens. Tokens are consumed on entry.

I also liked the idea that someone brought up of being able to do the old 4 random fractals in a row system for better rewards.

PS.why does changing values have to take +2 weeks?

I watched that video too and I agree for the most part.
I haven’t done any fractals since the first week of HoT, that artificial increase in difficulty is just a really cheap way. Out of principles I don’t do this content anymore.
I’m really disappointed in the changes, so I’m not gonna act like nothing happened and swallow Anet’s crap.

Players says nobody talks anymore in the FoTM parties either, I think that is a bad development.

Feels like we are beating a dead horse anyways, since we never got any information regarding it from a Dev. And there has been topic’s about it since release of HoT.

Yes, go play the game if you are so content with it, ignore all the issues and don’t post on the forum. If the majority was so happy with the game, players wouldn’t complain this much and those topics wouldn’t get that much attention.

The game got dumbed down, not the other way around, unless you mean that Candy Crush is more difficult than Gw2, which I might agree on!

And you give strawman arguments, as in saying stuff nobody in the topic even mentioned.

There could be variety within one fractal, not the entire fractal or one specific fractal. Though I do agree that the current system can still be easily abused and basically what you described is happening already, ignoring the high toughness fractals.

I agree, as others have pointed out in different topics.
Condition damage isnt balanced, only 3-4 classes excel at it. Any class can deal direct damage without creating an immense gap between everyclass damage wise.

Give every class as much acces to burning as Ranger,Guardian,Engineer,Warrior and we call it even.
I don’t think thats the solution, but Anet should start realizing that the current state isn’t acceptable.

OP did mention in the last paragraph about variety in mobs. So read the entire post.

Unless I missed something there’s no Exalted armor. The only thing in game that’s Exalted themed is the back items, and the Auric weapons.

Hello,
So I got this item from a Treasure Mushroom for the collection of every elite spec weapon. Yet it only counts for one of the collections, is this intentional or a bug?

May I add, why does the Treasure Mushroom have such insane amounts of HP?
I was solo’ing it for 6 minutes straight, while the mushroom doesn’t even deal damage.
It makes no sense.

Before HoT I did a few scales of fractals nearly everyday for 1,5 years and I enjoyed the content most of the time. It was the only thing I did in Gw2.

Dungeons had become too brainless for me and in open-world zerg content player skill isn’t rewarded.

Now, you can do 1 fractal at a time. Which is nice if you only wanna do each fractal once from 1 to 100. Or if you only wanna get a daily done and wanna get the rewards (hard to believe since they have become crap)

Before, the randomness of the fractals added fun (or frustration depending on which you got). Now that’s removed, you basically removed all fractals except 3 once you’ve reached 100. Because who would wanna do a frustrating fractal if you can just do one of the 3 easiest fractals.

Forcing us to do others with the daily system is hardly a solution.

In all honesty I’ve stopped doing fractals all together, just got the skins I was still missing (though instant gratification didn’t make me happy) You see everyone walking with the skins nowadays anyway. And the gold ones aren’t my thing, they are a cheap recolor!

Reverting back to Pre-HoT would be the easiest solution. From there we will see.
Since just increasing the boss dmg isn’t a solution in my eyes, because you could just take off your gear to archieve the same result.
