The shockwaves aren’t too bad because there is a wind up before he uses it. After one party wipe anyone should be able to see when it is coming and dodge. Doesn’t mean it should be unreflectable, but its not that bad.
However, the lightning attack… It hits multiple targets and is unblockable, and it dazes. blind and block are both useless. My guardian only has so many dodges, i even started using judge’s intervention to dodge the shockwaves because i desperately needed my dodges for the lightning and my healing skill’s block doesn’t do anything, ruining the fact that I chose it over a stronger heal.
If the lightning attack was made blockable, or at least nerfed in some other small way, then this fight wouldn’t be so bad.
Do keep in mind that AC is the first dungeon people go to. A monster whose attacks are unblockable, shockwave cant be reflected (i don’t know about the lightning), and uses long range multiple target attacks that daze very frequently is far over the top, even for explorable mode.

I was in a 2 vs 4 and my ally had been downed, and i was about to be next in a couple seconds as all my non-weapon skills were on cooldown and i had almost no initiative. My dodges were also depleted. I managed to select a thief and steal from him and used the stolen item to stealth and escape with less than 1k health left.

Fixing The Gunslinger (*P/P*). Suggestions?

It would be nice to see some other effect for pistol #2
vulnerability is just increased damage. Rather dull, and it doesn’t actually help much unless you are fighting a pve boss or something because of the damage you lose from it’s casting time.
What if it’s damage,initiative cost, and casting time were majorly lowered but the condition would remain the same? It would be a great setup for a burst, people will have time to react to the burst that is about to come, and the skill might see some more common usage. Vulnerability needs a spotlight anyway rather than a passive damage increase for a couple skills..
Just throwing an idea around.

A class that hits very hard with no warning, and has no need to hide behind stuff to sneak up on me, has a repeatable gap closer to finish me off if I stop dodging to use my heal, and can just stealth or use bow to teleport away, heal to full, and sometimes return ad infinitum until they get lucky, is simply obnoxious.

I haven’t lost many fights against thieves lately, and they certainly are not overpowered, but they aren’t fun to fight either.

Not really a major problem for many players, but I would still very much support a change to the way minis work.
I have all but forgotten my mini because it’s a bit of a hassle to activate it repeatedly.

What gives? Why run away from everything GW1 short of what you used to draw over naive and unsuspecting fans?

I understand the decision.
In GW1, it was a target button next to the party member’s health bar.
They attempted to make everything much more visual in GW2, so a simple button next to a hp bar had to go and be replaced by something actually within the playing area. Just my guess.
I don’t really have a preference to either one.

Often when playing spvp I encounter someone who calls a single target multiple times over and over and over and over again. It doesn’t add anything and it clogs up the chat log.

It is not usually a problem. This time I asked the person to stop and got a vulgar response, so I blocked him.
All is fine and well, except blocking a person doesn’t cause their target calling spam to stop at all. Is there any way that block could also block excessive targeting spam as well?

A DPS meter would hopefully never make it into the game.

Some build’s auto attack is…lackluster to say the least, and others have autoattack as the main source of damage, such as thief’s sword or ranger’s shortbow.
How will it account for condition damage? Some condition build’s autoattack does no condition damage such as ranger axe and sword.
What about summoned creatures, such as turrets or guardian weapons?
A build with cc will often deal more damage overall than a build focused for just damage but is unable to land a hit.
It is impossible to accurately automatically calculate what a person’s damage is, but if such an imperfect system were put in place some people would think it is the final authority on what player is the better damage dealer and the complaints of exclusiveness would skyrocket.

Not gonna happen, although imagining how a centaur thief would try to do a leaping death blossom, or any attack with movement really, would be rather hilarious.

Tengu are much more likely as they don’t seem to be quite as tribal as the others, and they haven’t had as much revealed about their culture.

One person attacks the OP by calling him unskilled. Someone else retaliates, and so the nasty cycle begins again. It is kind of ironic that this happened in a thread trying to point out and fix such happenings.

This is something to be expected in any pvp in any online game, except for the extremely small games.
Some people play pvp just to feel superior, and unfortunately they also express those feelings to the other players, or, as denial does it’s job, they blame team members for a loss. I’ve also done the blame game once or twice on some bad days, before I re-re-remember that negative feedback doesn’t help anyone improve in a game, and that I am part of the team, not just the person who supposedly “caused” the loss.

I don’t see any way to avoid these kinds of players in pvp as pvp is all about winners and losers. Sportsmanship gets thrown out the window frequently when there are winners vs losers and random players from all over.
A large post on the forums would probably just be preaching to the choir. People who don’t care won’t change.

I just switch to a different chat log tab or go to a different room if things get nasty.

I got a super shield skin from SAB and decided to try out my engineer since he was the only one who used a shield out of my 7 characters. It was the first time after the patch that I played him, and i tried out a turret build. It is actually kind of fun to use turrets now that they have been buffed, and i plan on sticking to my engineer for awhile longer because of it.
The popular builds have taken a hit, but it’s not all bad. It just seems like it is because it’s easy to forget the buffs because few people actually use the builds that benefit.
This is why those obscure builds got some buffs and the ever-popular instakill builds and super-bunker builds keep getting nerfs, to promote variability and even out the playing field.
The patch made me stick with my engineer and actually use him in spvp/tpvp to great effectiveness.

Super Adventure Box is awesome, but forcing it’s theme onto players that may detest it’s very existence for a whole month would be a terrible idea. It has it’s place where people can avoid it if they want to.

I am very happy with the changes.
The only time i ever used quickness before was on my ranger because i couldn’t not get the pet swap trait.
I might consider using it now.

It would say" deal 10% more damage with bundles" rather than “while wielding a bundle” if it was only talking about the bundle’s damage.
I haven’t used the trait though, so i may be wrong.

All of the following are in fields of ruin:
first two images: slightly north of ebonhawke one of the walls is non solid.
second two images: behind the griffon nests north-west of ebonhawke, there is a sandy colored non solid square sticking slightly out from the wall.
The next three images: Two places very close to each other than you can climb up to get out of the map.
The last three images: a spot you can climb up to get ton top of the hill. Plenty of non-solid objects up there.

Just got 100% completion on Brisban Wildlands, and while doing so I found one more spot i can get out of the map from.

Just use a leap skill to get onto that little natural fountain thing and walk across onto the cliff. I just about gave up trying to get out of the map from there when I accidentally noticed that one of the walls isn’t solid. Walk through it and you are out of the map.

This screen came up when i tried to use the trading post.
Exiting the game and bringing it back caused the problem to go away, and i could purchase and sell without a problem.
This happened shortly after the dailys reset if that makes a difference.

I was bored, so i started searching to see if i could get out of the map. I found far more than i had ever expected. I took screenshots of where and how I got out of the map.

All of the following except for one was found in Brisban Wildlands with a screenshot of the map showing specifically where.

in the first five images, you need warrior sword#2 or something similar to be able to get across the side of the rock like that. It is VERY difficult, but possible if you don’t go too far on the first jump. Normal jumping will not work to get across.

The next four images : Just go up the staircase. Once up, one of the large rocks blocking your way to the edge of the map is not solid. Go through and you will be there. No special jumping required.

The next three images : Just jump up and walk up the ledge. Rather simple. Can be done with normal jumping, although it will be much easier with a leap skill.

The next four images: Walk along the ledge, hugging the wall. Once you get as far as you can from just walking, jump while still staying next to the wall twice. From here, while facing the ledge, go a little bit to the right and then jump to the left all while moving forward to get the rest of the way up the cliff. Not sure if my instructions are any good for this one, but you at least know where it is.

the next four images : This one is the hard one. With swiftness, use warrior’s sword #2 or something similar to jump across the gap. You have to be as close as possible to the edge before you jump, or you will miss, otherwise you will barely make it. climb on up and you will be out.

The next 6 images : on the third image, use warrior sword#2 or something similar. If you use it farther down to cross the gap, you will be blocked by an invisible wall. Do it higher up and you will jump over the wall. Climb along the edge of the cliff and you will be out of the map.

The next 4 images: This one doesn’t get you to the edge of the map, but there are faaar too many non-solid objects for this to be anywhere near intentional. Just use swiftness and warrior sword#2 or similar to jump the gap and climb the mountain.

The last few images: This one is in the Thumanova reactor in metrica province. When you do the hidden event that raises you to a platform high in the sky to fight a boss, take the 50% falling damage trait. With some careful aiming and a leap skill you will land on a pillar. From there you can hop around on the roof of the reactor (or whats left of the roof). It requires some planning, otherwise you might not be able to get back up the way you came if it is a dead end. Definitely not intentional because of the many places you can get stuck with no way out, and one of the walls isn’t solid. Nice view though.
I currently don’t know if it is possible to get to the edge of the map from here. I got stuck and didn’t want to go through the hassle of activating the hidden event again.

Bug report window disappears

Whenever i use a waypoint or accidentally enter an asura gate while reporting a bug, the bug report window disappears.
Particularly frustrating when I’m in Goem’s lab bug reporting a veteran ice elemental that constantly resets back to full hp even when I’m in melee range and once i get my screenshot and write out the bug report i try to get out of combat before i die by entering the gate and it all disappears, forcing me to get another screenshot and write out the bug report all over again.

It takes too long to say full.

I don’t join 15/16 or 9/10 games anymore. The wait is not worth the chance the spot is still empty.
It could possibly be partially contributing to the reason 4 vs 5 games frequently happen. Nobody wants to try to join and wait forever just to be told that it is filled.

I would love such a change, or even replacing all the player’s skills with other skills when they take the orb instead of locking them out.
Would definitely encourage team play.

Extra information:
When i was using charzooka with sigil of geomancy, the sigil’s effect actually activates twice when this bug happens.
It makes the sound effect slightly louder and double the bleeding is applied.

Also of note:

Weapon stats now apply to bundles.

Banners are bundles, so maybe stabbing things with your flag will be a bit more fun.

I seriously gotta try leveling a banner wielder.
Imagine the widespread carnage if somebody could actually master such a build =D

please inform me of how d/d can get double the mf that a staff provide?

Perhaps through two daggers, both having MF on them, as opposed to one staff having MF?

Sigils of luck do not stack so its only 3% more and youd have to be a savant to notice a difference in drops…

^ now, there is a player with logic, common sense and knowledge.

3%+3%=6% on each weapon and every little helps if you are going to use it, Also if you are using two weapons you can run SoL on one while having 6% on the other then swap out when your stack is built.

Two important things to keep in mind when talking about sigils:

Same type sigils do not stack.
Sigils with a cooldown share the same cooldown with other cooldown sigils.

So they just nerfed vengeance for pvp? Wtf really? Stupid, absolutely no reason to take it outside of pve.

Getting a rally from killing a minion or pet would be simply unfair to the other players, especially against a minion necromancer. In a downed vs downed fight warriors are guaranteed to win either way. Only one that might come close would be ranger.

Also, vengeance is not a skill you “take”, but rather a downed skill that all warriors have.
