Language for International Servers

For the start, i’m Portuguese so @mariannitten, your arguement is invalid. I mean me and Keikat are portuguese and we had english in school…. I’m in the game and all i see is foreign language everywhere, not understanding anything from map chat i think it’s not polite, as i am not spamming the map chat in portuguese, because i respect other people and nationality. Not every1 speaks english? i think every kid that is 12+ years old (that’s what Guild wars 2 is rated) speaks basic english, basic enough to understand the game or even talk with other people….

I can speak basic english(i understand it perfecty, but i have some problems in writting). But these server are NOT tagged in any language.
I have no problem if you decide speak in Portuguese, make sense if you are talking with another portuguese people.

“not understanding anything from map chat i think it’s not polite, as i am not spamming the map chat in portuguese” <- Spamming is bad, regardless the language. I read soo many stupid things in English… that’s ok for you?

“i respect other people and nationality” <- Thats include their language, you are discriminating. If they can’t speak english because they didn’t go to a cool billingual school, is not a problem.

I would like to know also, since there are single minded people that only speaks the language that they want in the /map chat, ruining game experience for others that don’t understand the language. I’s also considered not polite.

People like you make this world worse…. “people that only speaks the language that they want” i can’t understand how possible you turn that in a problem.
You want to force them to speak your language?

Is condition damage a must have?

in Necromancer

Condition damage is not a must-have, but I quite like it. It gives you sustainable damage output as soon as you’ve applied your stacks, as opposed to outright burst damage. But by no means a must-have, I’m certain a power/precision/crit damage dagger or axe build is just as good.

I think that Condition damage IS a must-have.. al least for the necromancer.

Dagger -> Sucks
Axe -> Sucks
Minions -> Sucks (well, the flesh golem maybe not, but his AI is very stupid)
Almost every support skills, is abount boons&conditions.

Scepter+Dagger
Staff with very cool mark
Epidemic
Consume Conditions
Corrupt Boon

:-)

Please don’t go outright and say that Dagger and Axe suck. This is obviously just your opinion, but there are plenty of viable builds where Axes or Daggers don’t suck. Granted, in early levels, condition damage usually does more damage than a power build. But it seems that power scales better into later levels, eventually becoming on par with condition damage.

So yes, Power/Crit builds are viable.

If i said that sucks.. it’s pretty obvious that is My opinion.. ;-) relax people

Down State and Finsh them Off

I save a lot of people in downed state., and i was saved a lot too. That state is about surviving, not fighting.
If you are in a 1vs1 fight, you 1 have fear/stun to stay alive some seconds more. Many thing can happen in that moment.

My Necromancer Feedback

“It’s not a damage dealer, It’s not a tank, and it’s not a healer”… maybe you can try the Death Knight with Blood spec.. or Paladin with. .. oohh whait.. this is not the WoW forum.

With the necromancer i can kite about 30 mobs without dying. You can remove conditions on allys and use it in yourself for healing. You can revive 3 allys instantly. If you can found useful that.. well…

Future Content Speculation

Come on.. the game has only 2 weeks.

They need to fix a lot of thing first: Bugged events, Balance Issues, Security account.

But, i think that if they are going to release some content soon, i’m pretty sure that are going to be more PvP content.

Just spend 2 gold in that. Double click and nothing.

Maybe isn’t related, but i didn’t buy the Lvl 40 Manual. But i don’s see any warning message, any advice. NOTHING. Why they let me but that if i need the other one first? Add something in the description at least.
